Beautiful palace. However, you need to really get there in the first half of the day so you can experience the whole palace we went at about 3:00 p.m. awaited in line for about 40 minutes and when we got to the check-in desk they told us that they don't have tickets for the full Palace as they are closing at around 5:00 p.m. so we're only able to buy tickets for whatever they thought would be enough time for us to visit. There are also audio guides in several languages which you can take and start the tour on your own since they are allowing only a certain amount of people to enter at once. It is really not getting crowded inside. So you can really take your pictures and selfies without many people in the background. I do recommend however planning an earlier visit on the day. Also keep in mind that there are no online tickets so you have to go there to check whether they are open.
Beautiful place, there is so much to see. Recommended visit time to Residenz + Palace is 2 hours I think but if you want to listen to every point from audio guide, included in the price of ticket with different languages, it can take even more time but visit is toootally worth it. During winter time there is also super charming Christmas Market outside.

Beautiful palace to understand how Bavarian Royal Families lived. The building itself is beautifully decorated, and there is still a complete collection of furniture and accessories of the different rooms. Worth to spend 2-3 hours inside. Visitors get free audio guides, but there is also information in English.

The space is massive - they have an option for the Full Tour and a shortened version. We visited at the end our day and we're exhausted, so we raced through the full tour in a little over an hour, but expect to spend 2-3 hours in just the museum to really appreciate everything and listen to the audio tour.

Incredible museum, only 9 euros for the basic tour with free audio guide. It took me about two hours.
The residence is huge with many different chambers and apartments and several breathtaking rooms. It is 100% worth a visit. There is also a Christmas market happening inside one of the courtyards.

A very large and interesting museum. A must visit, just keep in mind: you will be stuck here for several hours. You need to be well trained to walk up and down stairs, back and forth.
This place is huge. It was unclear where the entrance is. Exhibits got a bit repetitive towards the end. I appreciate them putting seats throughout the palace for people to rest. The theater is beautiful. Tickets are included for 14-day pass holders.
This town square is a must visit in Munich. The architecture is simply gorgeous, with its unique balconies and windows designs/colors. There are many street stalls selling foods and drinks, souvenirs and branded stuff. Also, numerous street artists were performing when we were there. This further adds to the colorfulness and character of the area. The design makes us forget that we are in the modern days and takes us back to many centuries ago.
There are lots to see, shop, eats for every taste and individual, from beer markets to restaurants. Our family of 4 enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here. Pity we were here on a day trip only. Will come back if we have the chance.

Beautiful Gothic feel structure with amazing glockenspiel figurines. Square is very busy. Recommend for best photos visit early morning before the tourists ate awake!
Main square. Very beautiful architecture, with non-standard design of balconies and stained glass windows. Each part of the buildings is unique in its own way. When you stand on this square, you temporarily forget that today is the 21st century - the surrounding environment takes you to the Middle Ages, the time of knights. This square is truly the historical center of Munich.
The awesome place has its own vibes. I visited the place on Sunday so most of the shops were closed. However restaurants were open having on street dinning. They serve beer and food. This place is a tourist attraction as well in the city. The place has its own history. Many street artists are also performing in the area.

Stopped through during my trip to Oktoberfest and this place was bigger and better than I expected! We visited during the week and got our tickets at the counter. There is a lot of history, art, and architecture to admire while in here. I recommend stopping in to explore the grounds and admire the history and architecture.
Amazing palace!! One of the best I've seen. The staff are very friendly and the tour and audio guide are amazing. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 star is because the tour is very very long and for a self guided tour it could get quite boring. Also a lot of the audio guide videos did not have much information about certain paintings but still took a while to listen to so it took up time. I'd say it takes minimum 3 hours to get through this palace and there's no cafe for food.
The most beautiful building in Munich. A must if you travel to this city. You can book some free tours that start in this place, highly recommended to learn some history about the city. There are some cafes and restaurants there to enjoy the view.

Spectacular palace and grounds. We drove and found parking easily. We didn’t go in the palace but walked through to the back to see the gardens, which were impressive and peaceful.
The heart of Munich. Loved everything about this city. The cleanliness, the atmosphere and of course the people. Was there around Oktoberfest so it was amazing. Make sure to cat h the Glockenspiel daily at 11am, 12pm and 5pm.
If you are a history buff, I suggest you rather take a ticket (cost 5€)to the places inside the garden rather than the Nymphenburg palace galleries. We walked around the whole garden and read all the boards of the places inside the garden. Very interesting! It took about 3 hours.

Small museum in a beautiful historic building. The museum seems more like a private collection, definitely not comparable in size or quality to other toy museums. May be interesting to more serious toy enthusiasts, but for us (especially the children) it was rather boring.
Due to its location it is not designed accessibly, and there are no bathrooms (we were sent to the nearby subway station after asking).

Really enjoyed watching the Glockenspiel of the Town Hall, runs at 11, 12 and 5 during our holiday to Munich. We also paid for the lift to take us up the tower of the Town Hall, I think we paid 6 euros each, the spectacular view was worth it.
It was ok for me and rather interesting to see the history of toys, but the name of this place is a little misleading: the only toys are in glass cases. My little sisters were rather disappointed because there aren't any interactive exhibits.
If you're in Munich, definitely plan to take some time to visit the Marienplatz. This main plaza has lots to see and do. Around it, you'll find many bars and restaurants. Also, it's most famous for the clock tower with dancing figurines. I'd highly suggest watching this if you get the chance.

There are numerous restaurants and peppy cafes around along with clothing outlets. The great Haufbraubaus is situated just a few mitres from this place.

That is an Amazing place to visit. A big historical building with wonderful 👍 architectural design. It has a show right at 12 o'clock that attracts many people. I think everybody must visit there at least one 🕜 time.
Great architecture surrounded by very beautiful scenery. Large parking available nearby and the palace is easily accessible by public transport.

built in 1760 by a german engineer and these water pumps served the entire drink water for the whole complex. amasing to see such an old invention.
An amazing place bringing you back to childhood. Very good exibition with different toys telling their history. Lived the Steiff Teddy Bears collection and an old Barbie:)
It is old town hall which is a toy museum now. They have variety of toys before 1900. Very interesting stuff there if you like to try..

Very nice square, we went up to the tower, you can see Munich 360 degrees, appreciating many nice places from a different point of view. The building is incredible, many floors connected by many stairs with many rooms you can visit with no limitation. Really nice also the moment when the clock "is telling" the history of Munich
Very short quick museum. Can be done in 15 minutes. Can't play with any toys either. Could just as easily be a small private collection rather than a museum. Not really worth the price
The place is very nice and scenic. If you are interested to visit inside the Palace, you need to purchase €10 ticket. For guided trip and museum, you need to pay an additional €8. During my visit a few rooms were closed due to renovation. During weekend, expect a queue of 10-20 people for the tickets. Also inside the Palace.
One of the most amazing and beautiful gardens I’ve visited. The grounds are huge and the gardens are free to visit. You can spend almost all day there to visit all the amazing places. There are free parking nearby s well. The main palace building is a huge villa with two wings that had 16 rooms. The rooms are decorated beautifully with luxury furnitures.

An amazing clock tower with so much ornate detail. It was very busy even on Monday, I would recommend you go on a weekday. The clock rings 3 times a day in the summer. 2 in the winter. Amazing sight to see nonetheless.

It's a really nice place in a hidden area of the Marienplatz.
The toys there are really old but wonderful. The museum is on 4 levels and every level is a new era of toys.
I especially liked the Barbie and Ken collection, along with the teddy bears.

I went there with a group of kids where we loved looking at all the old toys together. We also discovered how creative people were in the past and that we could learn from it. The historic building itself has 5 stories where you can mainly look at the toys through the glass windows. The views from the windows are not to be missed. Planned time for the excursion is between 60-90mins. Have fun!

Es handelt sich um ein Bach'sches Kulissenrad. Der Kulisseneinlauf führt das Wasser dem Rad optimaler und in steuerbaren Segmenten zu, welche die Kammern des Rades optimal befüllen.
Das Rad hat daher einen sehr hohen Wirkungsgrad und kann damit als einzigartiges technisches Denkmal erhalten, aber nicht funktionsfähig, besichtigt werden.

A minor attraction within the park grounds, not far from Amalienburg Palace. There are a few buildings here including the pump houses where large scale mechanical water pumps which keep the water flowing into and through the canal and lakes of the Nymphenburg Park can be seen.
