I was on this bridge when I was 5 years old first time - in the '60s ! So not yesterday :-) It is still beautiful! I learned, that they are no "real" jewelers on the bridge any more: the shops are just selling jewelry from different places. Walk around the bridge on the river bank, spend some time in a nice restaurant with a view on the bridge! You will love it, for sure!

The Ponte Vecchio is an amazing place and offers beautiful views of the Arno River and other bridges of Firenze. There are very nice Jewelry shops but they are probably horribly overpriced. There are some great little restaurants around the entances to the bridge. Sometimes they have live entertainment on the bridge at night. A must see if you are visiting Firenze. I could visit this place every day and it would be amazing.

An amazing bridge and a must see spot in Florence. You shouldn't miss this one at any cost when you visit Florence. The bridge has numerous gold shops as well. It's a good selfie spot and one can simply enjoy the views.

This is a must see in Florence. You cannot visit Florence without seeing this spot. It is one of the most famous spots to visit. I would highly recommend a visit here walking across the bridge to see the old part. I would highly recommend you walk further away to get better photographs and videos as seen attached

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence is an iconic landmark that captures the essence and charm of this beautiful city. This historic bridge, which spans the Arno River, is a sight to behold and a must-visit for any traveler exploring Florence.

As you walk along the Ponte Vecchio, you are instantly transported back in time. The bridge is lined with an array of shops, showcasing a variety of jewelry, art, and souvenirs. The vibrant atmosphere and bustling energy of the bridge create a unique and enchanting ambiance.

But it's not just the shops that make the Ponte Vecchio special. The bridge itself is a marvel of architecture, with its arched design and quaint buildings that seem to cling to its sides. The view from the bridge is equally captivating, offering a picturesque panorama of the Arno River and the surrounding cityscape.

One of the most striking features of the Ponte Vecchio is its rich history. Dating back to the medieval period, it has survived wars, floods, and the test of time. It is the only bridge in Florence that was spared during World War II, making it a symbol of resilience and endurance.

Whether you're a history enthusiast, a lover of architecture, or simply seeking a unique experience, the Ponte Vecchio will not disappoint. It is a place that embodies the spirit of Florence and offers a glimpse into its storied past.

However, it's worth noting that the bridge can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting early in the morning or late in the evening when the crowds are thinner.

In conclusion, a visit to the Ponte Vecchio is an essential part of any trip to Florence. Its beauty, history, and vibrant atmosphere make it a true gem and a highlight of the city. Take your time to stroll along the bridge, soak in the views, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Florence's past.

"A wonderful blend of opulence and natural splendor. Here, you can shop for high-end luxury watches and jewelry while admiring the breathtaking river view through the shop windows. I can only imagine what an incredible experience it must be. As for me, Rolex and Omega are out of my budget, so I contentedly enjoyed the river view instead 😁."
It is a beautiful thing to walk over the Ponte vecchio morning, noon or night. Each is a different experience. You will often find it busting with retail hunters haggling for a bargain. At night it's as crowded but far more relaxed, usually with live music. The views of the Arno from either side are serene and so picture worthy.

A famous landmark in Florence. A must visit! Many souvenir shops as well as trinkets, venetian masks and lots of jewellery, watch and accessories shops. There’s even a Rolex and a Patek Philippe there. By jewellery, I mean a lot of gold items there, and some jewels.

Each side of this Ponte is filled with quaint jewelry stores.
It is an extremely popular place to sit and watch the sun set. While we were there, a busker entertained the crowds with some excellent classical music.

There are a lot of jewelry and watch shops on the bridge. Believe it used to be a bazaar in the old times. To me, this place isn’t worth a visit on its own unless you’re heading to the museum/gallery nearby; nothing really stands out here.

There are also a lot of coffee shops and restaurants nearby to enjoy the river view, although the river isn’t impressive as I’ve imagined.

Also, people say this place marks the very beginning of the renaissance!
Perfect spot overlooking the Ponte Vechio
The wive is so cute, I'm so laky to see it

The bridge has a great view of the water, and a very nice spot to take selfies. The bridge also has a bunch of retail stores along it (mostly gold retailers, and real gold from what I could tell).

Guess I am not really into shopping for jewelry, but if it's your vibe, you will like it. Quite full of tourists as can be expected but with some nice view.

I’m always in love for sunsets and this place has a incredible beautiful one. Is super crowded but worth to go. I really recommend to go before the little stores close, I arrived there and they were already closed so I could not experience there.

Another impressive architectural wonder in the Italian city that gave birth to the Renaissance era. Amazing that it was spared from destruction in World War II. Reminds me of the Pulteney Bridge in Bath, England. A beautiful afternoon along the River Arno

A beautiful, old bridge which gives you a stunning view of the river and has lots of cute little shops, cafes and restaurants all around. Definitely a must see spot if you are in Florence.

Great place to stop and enjoy the river by night. Their are some places to get some gelato and food nearby. Bring your camera as it’s very beautiful.

Ponte alla Carraia is a historic bridge that spans the Arno River and was originally constructed in the 10th century as a wooden bridge. Over the centuries, it underwent several reconstructions and renovations, with the current stone bridge dating back to the 19th century.

It is so surprising that this place has such a weather that all the photographs taken looks like paintings.
The colours of the sky overhead are very Bright and dramatic.
The view of the river the bridges on top of that and the surrounding buildings and the sky is just marvellous to look at.
This is a most visit please.
To our surprise and our luck we were here on some event and we saw several fireworks at the night and it was a grand event.
Loved the ambiance of this place.
Bello scorcio con il tramonto
My favorite bridge to sit and take pictures. Not as crowded as ponte vecchio and the edges are wide enough to sit and watch the world go by.

A 20th century renewed bridge for the 13th century one which was destroyed by the nazis while fleeing.
Beautiful bridges, near by ice cream coffee shops. To sit and admire the beauty of the place.
Natural beauty 👍 old bridges but yet so beautiful.
It’s a great place to take a photo from Ponte vecchio and it’s on Arno river and connect two parts, from there to Piazzale Michelangelo it takes 15 min by walking, it’s nice and in different seasons has different look, it’s beautiful

Amazing parts of Florence! Florence is beautiful by definition but the river and multiple bridges make the experience in Florence is better. This is the heart of Tuscany and many tourists flock here. Sometimes it’s extremely busy and it’s no way to find parking if you drive here or you have to park far away. The river is an plays its amazing part too so it divides the city. Sometimes it’s so busy it’s even hard to walk. You definitely have to visit this part of Florence.

Gorgeous views! It can get pretty busy around the shops during the day but that shouldn’t phase you, more than worth it for the picturesque lakeside scenery

This is a great bridge in the sense that it offers great views all around, and good access to Piazzale Michelangelo plus the eastern side of Florence. In the morning this will get busy with work traffic. Expect lots of joggers and bike riders as well. It offers a great perspective for shooting Ponte Vecchio
One of the more ancient bridges, looks majestic and is not too busy in the morning

Wander about from the round-about to Santa Rosa and you will find an area full of unexpected stores, restaurants and activities...all colorful and peculiar- very special and local - love it-
I fell in love.
