Great craft beer selection, but apparently the guy who curates it has worked there six years and only makes about $20/hr

Nice store but super brutal when the staff are asking for tips after doing nothing but standing at the till.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Small store but they have a good selection. If it's not on the shelf, they look it up to see if they can find it in the back or at another branch.

Prices are good selection covers a wide range of products
I’ve had to stop buying alcohol here due to how unprofessional some members of staff are. Most of the workers were fine, they just seemed like young students, but the older balding guy was always trying to flirt with me and asking invasive questions. It wasn’t just me because I saw him do it to other women. Avoid the creep and buy your liquor elsewhere.

Great selection however the cashier decided that he would help himself to a tip by prompting the tip selection and then picking out the tip he deserved before handing the pay pad to me therefore just allowing me to pay the final sale - he literally did his job that didn’t require me to tip. He didn’t help me pick what I wanted.
In my life, most places got better AFTER I left (and NOT [only?] due to my departure😜!): elementary school, new gym; high school, computer labs; university 1) desktop publishing at the Peak, collectively run student paper I was Sports & Copy Editor at plus handled delivery - of a paper that we literally cut with exacto knives and pasted with this wax that we had a special rolling machine to apply to the galleys which you then had to proofread and put in any corrections and fix them manually as well 2)CJIV - The Jive! Now, sadly, been assigned CKSF, nevertheless did a show, Scott & Mike's Tuner, for 4 years - FM broadcast license & new, more digital-age equipment; Vancouver (well, not really considering that I found Victoria! Reminds me a lot of how Vancouver USED to be!!): SKY TRAIN, Canada LINE WHISTLER HIGHWAY, Stanley Park-SFU... ONE BUS!! TO BRIDGE MY Granted, it was rather silly to live in Kitsalino AND go to SFU but it WAS in Burnaby, so I guess I just saw it out. It struck some friends and I that had gone to elementary high school and finally SFU together, that we could have gone ANYWHERE to school. Like what... what were we thinking!? I mean, Concordia, McGill, York, Carlton, Dalhousie, U of NB. You know, Saskatoon, UofS, UofA... Ultimately, it came down to the weather! Dan had ice storms in Quebec that year and it looks so brutal that I couldn't imagine living through a winter anywhere but the west coast 😎👍❤️🔥. Point is even Burnaby got better after I left!! And here's proof- where was this brewery when I needed it!?!?
Great selection, friendly staff... 10pm closing time the only (minor) drawback.

Asking for a tip on your debit machine at a liquor store surprised me completely. I get that in todays world, if you don’t ask, you don’t get, but this is unacceptable. For me, even though I have loved your stores, selection and staff, it is enough of a reason to not shop at your stores.
Their staff is really friendly and their selection is considerable. My only wish is that they had a more diverse beer selection from breweries on the mainland and especially from the United States. Washington and Oregon breweries have some of the best beer I’ve ever had. And as nice as Deschutes is, it doesn’t count. It’s Oregon’s face label beer. lol

Wow! Surprisingly good selection. I was shocked that I found a bottle of very rare bourbon that I have been looking for over the last 8 years or so.

Clean store and good service. Focus of store is on liquors and wines. Staff is knowledgeable and can help with recommendations. They carry some craft beer, but their selection can be limited in comparison to other stores in town.

Always a wonderful place to pick up good drinks for any special occasion. Friendly staff, decent selection of beer, wine, and spirits. No problem stockpiling up for a good house party.

Fantastic selection. Helpful Employees. Pet friendly. Clean. Relaxed. Well lit. I have high recommendations for this location for any local visitors. I did not get any photos sadly but I have faith all other photos from other reviewers are suitable enough!

The staff at this store have always been kind, courteous and helpful every time I have gone in.
My last visit I was looking for a particular brand of wine and grape. The sales associate checked shelves and then digital stock to see if they had that particular item. This is normal for any requests I have enquired about.
This retail location is well stocked with substantial varieties of whatever tickles your fancy. If they don't have EXACTLY what you are looking for, they're able to make suitable suggestions for alternatives.
I have also witnessed first hand their ability to handle direct conflict and still maintain great service in the face of confrontational conflict. Hats off to great staff! 👍😎

This is a great liquor store with a knowledgeable staff. If you want to know anything about any of the beer or wines and what it pairs well with then ask for Rafe. He has always given the best suggestions and his knowledge of the different craft beers is vast!
This is a very large, recently expanded store with a wide selection of liquor, wine, beer and cider. They have a large walk-in cooler with lots of beers and ciders, and sell a number of beers in the larger cans (473 ml?) for around $2.00, which I think is a good deal. I've been able to get ciders here that you don't see anywhere else.
Knowledgeable staff about wine. However, I had to remove a few stars due to their complete inconsistency on pets in carriers. I walk with my cat, and when I go in stores I put her in carrier backpack. One staff member at this store takes issue with that and has asked us to leave several times, but all the other BC liquor stores have no issue with this, and BC Liquor does not have a policy on this, despite the problematic employee at this location who claims it is policy, although they cannot produce a reference to it. And leaving my cat outside is not an option. So we take our business to Liquor Plus, or the Hillside BC Liquor Store, where they are happy to welcome us!!

Great selection of craft beers. Many are available in single cans. They maintain a list of vegan wines - Update September 2021: there are now green Vegan shelf labels for wines. Well done!

Great selection of Bourbons, Scotch and other esoteric Spirits. One of the best that Ive tryed fro the island is Mac na BRaiche from Macaloney’s Caledonian Distillery in Victoria. They craft their own barley and peat for a full balabced, well integrated Spirit at 46% abv. I'm a big fan of higher abv's and flavours. I had this with Oysters the other night and it was a great pairing. Slàinte

They have lost my business. Forever.

Self important GuardTek security schlep out front pulling rank over his little territory, barking orders about lineup and 6' distances. He wasn't even wearing a mask.

I have been a loyal client and spend lots of $$$ here for high end wines...I will never shop here again. There are 5 other good liquor and wine stores right behind you, so taking my business elsewhere where they appreciate the customers that go out their way to shop there.

If you're going to hire someone to represent your establishment...ensure they have the people skills.

And while in this neighborhood I am sure they see enough riff-raff...not all of us fall into this category. Trashy neighbourhood anyhow.
I absolutely love the new extension. The beer cooler is now on par with many other places and huge. Staff are always friendly and most are quite knowledgeable about their products.
Nice looking, very spacious store.

A great selection of beers, some we had never seen anywhere else.

Prices are very competitive, I checked several items to compare with other stores.

Good to see several organic wine and beer choices too.😊

Staff at checkout was pleasant (sorry don't have your name, a young French woman) but no one moving around the store to ask for assistance, seemed very limited staff. We found what we needed but it's always nice to be asked if you need help, especially on a first visit to any store.

Will definitely be back.
Decent prices on lots of interesting tall can/single domestic and import beers in walk in cooler. Good sel. local breweries. Good staff. Usually well stocked.
Staff was helpful and everything was pretty easy to find. Wish they had a bigger cold zone to fit more imported beer. Other than that is was a smooth experience and I got what I need quick and easy.
I went in to buy two tall cans, when I got to the till one can wouldn't scan. The girl asked for assistance from her co worker. Her co worker said they couldn't sell it if it didn't scan. I said that I just pulled it off the shelf of singles and expected them to just name a price and I was happy to pay.
The supervisor took the can back to check and came back empty handed, no apologies or alternatives offered, just said no it's not for sale.
Next time, miss, it would be nice to offer to grab something else similar or to try to be a little more helpful other than shuffling me out.
Or! Just sell the can and deal with it later in the name of good customer service.
Helpful and pleasant attitudes can go a very long way. I would have popped back in for a bottle of wine later on, but went to cascadia in Eagle Creek village instead.
This was on April 30th around 6 pm.
I visited the store for the first time yesterday (March 21 around 4:30 PM) - looking for craft beer for a gift. I know nothing about beer. One of the staff asked if I needed help. I said not really, just looking for a gift for someone. He could have easily said ok and walked away. Instead, he asked me a few questions which led to helping me decide which beer to buy.

He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He truly seemed care about helping to buy what might be best suited to the person receiving the gift, as opposed to just what the staff person liked. I ended up buy more than I had intended to buy. I did not catch the man's name, but he was tall with long hair. Thank you for your help! :)

Fabulous staff, I often call ahead as I have an energetic toddler/ preschooler and either I'll have a few picks at the front to choose from or a quick walk through with someone offering specific bottle suggestions. I get to try new wines I may not have otherwise and I'm in & out in record time without worry or a tantrum.
your typical bcls. they have weird holiday hours, so don’t always trust google maps if it’s a holiday etc.

Craft beer selection is good. At certain times parking can be an issue.
