This is the single worst experience in Israel. The service was beyond terrible. 45 minutes to get a glass and plate, another 20 minutes to get silverware. Can’t figure out what’s worse, the food or service….total disaster.

First customer of the day. Left sick, from the raw food and low grade quality meat. Had to practically beg for service. No water brought to the table, no checking in if we need anything, spent the dinner trying to flag staff down, no music in the background created a boring ambience and all this fun for
more expensive then Manhatan steakhouses.

Staff are just kids . They don't really know what day it is. The pizza we ordered came out exactly opposite of how we ordered it. The fish n chips are pretty good.. location is good but the lack of good wait staff ruins it

The food here was pretty good but didn’t wow us. The taste was there but the pastries and fillings were quite dry. I pretty much soaked it in tahini to make up for the dryness. Also, we split 4 pastries, 3 beef and one chicken. The three beef ones tasted nearly the same, we couldn’t tell a difference between two of them, and the third one (the brisket) was definitely the best. We also have the chicken, which was pretty dry, but that’s expected as they are using chicken breasts. The starters were really good. We got the salad, which was well seasoned/dressed and had a variety of toppings that added to the dish and we got the potatoes, which reminded me of a better version of patatas bravas from Barcelona. They were well seasoned and came with two delicious sauces that rounded out the dish. Overall it was the restaurant was really good. There are many options around and this is probably one of the better ones in the area. I recommend.

This cafe is conveniently located in the Mamila mall. When we arrived it was very busy and packed and it was hard to get a table. Despite all that, service was surprisingly quick and efficient.

We ordered a variety of things. Our favorite was the handmade pasta tortellini. The sauce was on point and it was gone before we knew it!

We also enjoyed the halloumi salad, it was refreshing and well dressed.

Overall it’s a super solid lunch option.

We celebrated our son’s bar mitzvah at Kedma. The food was delicious, the chef is very talented. The atmosphere was great, everyone there was so friendly and easy to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better view.
Overall, we are very happy and feel like it was the best place we could have picked for our event.
Keep up the great the good work!

Just terrible. I asked for water on a boiling hot day from the waiters who said they would bring. 15 mins later still no water. I went to ask the workers behind the bar for water, they refused to give me any and said the waiters would bring me water. Took half an hour to get water (we were also one of 3 tables at the time). We ordered 2 salads, each was inedible (and we are NOT picky eaters). I went to the bathroom and there was no soap so went to the makeshift kitchen (they were doing a renovation) and THE KITCHEN STAFF ALSO HAD NO SOAP!!! Honestly, been twice and was terrible each time. Will never be back

Very good food and even better ambience for a fun night. Service was great. The whole restaurant is a great vibe at night with great music and drinks.
This is a decent kosher meat and - separately - dairy restaurant off of Ben Yehuda St. The wait-staff is typically very very busy, but they are not-unpleasant so I wouldn't want to "ding" them for being typically rushed as many wait-staff are.
Skewers of filet beef - one portion is 2 skewers are served on a bare round plate, no lettuce or other eye-candy. The pita-like bread is warmed but nothing special - the bread at Ezra in Talpiot is way better. If you are only 2 people at a table, you get just two little dishes of complementary sauces/pickles and similar - again - Ezra gives all their little tasty salads even if the dining party is just a couple.
The atmosphere during late afternoon, early evening is well lit with natural light. The hostesses at the entrance are very sweet.
For large groups, there are mixed platters of various kinds of meat which might be appealing to some.

A nice place,
But I had a bad experience,
They close at 11 and I were there at 10:45, they told me that the kitchen is closed already. (I came with a taxi for 50 shekel)
The next day I want again,
The food was nothing special.
The prices was over over priced. One waterer told me that they have a special drink for today for 70 shekel, if I want, I said yes, when I got it, it was a small cup, the drink itself was just mango with orange juice, for 70 shekel…..
My bill was 700 shekel… (For nothing special.)
And they asked me another 10% for a tip…
I won’t recommend.

We made an event at Cafe Tamara for about 70 people, they were really easy to work with, The food was plentiful and tasty, the service at the event was amazing, when they heard one of my nieces was lactose intolerant they went and made a fresh dish for her, and made fresh pizza for someone who came late and could not be more helpful. Highly recommend.

My friend and I had a delicious pizza and gnocchi, and other options looked fantastic as well. Service was great, very polite and food was served quickly. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable when considering the high level of the dishes and the location.
The place was packed but it didn't feel as horrible as you would expect, it was not awfully noisy, so the acoustics are probably good.

We had to wait over 20 minutes to get in. The asado was not good. It had a lot of fat inside. The taste was also not good. When we complained about it they said its supposed to be like this. I remember that this place was better a few years ago. Now I wouldn't really recommend it.

Excellent food and great service. We ordered two dishes from the slow cooker menu and were both very satisfied with the quality and portion size. Also really enjoyed the lychee sangria from the cocktail menu.
Great dairy option in Jerusalem!
We ordered from both the pizza and Pasta sections, as well as an assortment of appetizers, and everything tasted great.
The service was friendly, helpful and accommodating.
This was our 2nd visit to this restaurant and we're sure to be back again!

Visited Caffit multiple times for breakfast because of hotel link, and sampled different options from the menu. I used to go there in the late 80s and the 90s, so also have memories about it. The food quality is very high and everything I tried was fresh and nice. The Jerusalem salad and the shakshuka are great. Big portions and lovely service.

The waitress/ hostess, Chen, NEEDS to get promoted, given a raise, ANYTHING!!!
For context, I’m in a summer program, and today was a fast day. To compensate for the hunger, we went to this restaurant. Now, it was a fixed menu, and no one could specifically order something that wasn’t being served. I didn’t listen and still tried to order.
The staff by the kitchens were so rude, and they weren’t paying attention to me…
Except for Chen.
She asked me (in a very kind tone) what I wanted, and when I told her what I wanted but she didn’t understand me, she was like “lemme show you the menu so you can see what I CAN do” and then when she put it in I was like “pls make sure there isn’t a lot of oil in the process of making the food” (bit extra but oily things make me nauseous, so) and she said she’d tell the chef.
But this was… astronomically kind…
So me and my group were getting ready to leave, and while I never specified whether my food would be dine in or to go, when I went to get my food, it was ALREADY in a to go container!!!!!!! HOW?!! She couldn’t have known, but she was awesome and so accommodating. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

The food was not good at all. I was there with my friend and we were both disappointed with the food. What made it worse was the waiter... had no concept of service, and the employees were loaded talking and not paying attention to the customers... I think all the guests were looking for the staff as they all stood around the bar talking very loudly. And I'm not sure why, but the hot dish, even though obviously ready and not fresh, came out like 5 minutes before the chopped salad that had no taste and the tahina was just water with no salt and no lemon. We asked for a lemon for the salad, finished eating what we could, and paid, then the waiter brought out a lemon... again standing at the bar. I'm not sure, but I think the managers were standing at the bar as well... lead by example.

The place seems like a lovely place at first but the food was low level and very expensive. We were afraid to eat one of the meals because the meat had a funny texture. The service was not good but also not awful. To sum it up, the place has the highest level of kosher that may affect the taste and the price but you will pay two/ three times more than you should for that type of experience.

Went there with a dining partner who doesn't speak Hebrew. Asked for an English menu for her. Got a lecture on needing to speak Hebrew in Israel. Dining partner got up to use the lady's and as she is headed away the server asked if I was ready to order. When I explained that I wanted to wait for my dining partner to be able to come back and look at the English menu that the server brought as she asked, got another mini lecture about wasting the servers' time(restaurant only had three tables in use including us and two already had their food). That was pretty much the tempo for the whole meal. Mediocre food at a premium price served by wait staff for whom rude would have been an improvement.

Kedma and their team did a great job helping us organize our simcha. We did all our communication via WhatsApp, from choosing the menu, to choosing the table cloths/napkins, and it was seamless. The food was great and plentiful, the service was good, and rhe atmosphere was very pleasant. I would recommend Kedma.

It is such a shame, such a beautiful place, decent food, and the service and tables are rough. The workers are hard working, yet it seems the system is flawed. Definitely time for self reflection as a business if a large group of people complain. My experience in other locations has never had any flawed, yet this one time and time again there are many. So I can only assume it is some operational and kitchen issues.

But the views are great 👍

Great place very close to Machane Yehuda market. Kosher place.

Fantastic food. The shambushaks are delicious and very filling.

I had the brisket (A+). It was soft, juicy, and delicious. My partner had the tongue (A+).

They had a mint and coriander sauce which was magnificent.
We had a private function here. It is a kosher dairy restaurant.

The food was delicious: I liked the pizza (A+), the hummus (A), the babaganoush (A+), the fish kebabs (A), and the fish "shawarma" (A).

Wish I could give negative stars. Staff with an attitude. I couldn't even get them to take my money. I asked a staff member for the check and he told me he can't help me. I asked him to just tell the hostess whom he was walking toward and he just said, "no." Then he proceeded to have a conversation with her. The schnitzel was made from turkey and was definitely from a frozen package as were the fries. The burgers were fair at best. Stay away, food sucks and the service worse.

Fantastic surprise restaurant. Excellent food and service. Our tour guide recommended this place. It's the place he took his current wife to on their first date. It is not a romantic restaurant in my humble opinion. The food was outstanding though. We had one veal and one brisket Shamburak. A Shamburak is a kurdish-syrian pastry

Great place for dairy food! The restaurant offers a delectable selection of dairy-based delights. There is Free parking which is hard to find in Jerusalem. Finding a spot is hassle-free. The lovely atmosphere adds to the dining experience. Adjacent to the restaurant is a picturesque lake, where you can enjoy your meal while observing wildlife. It's a perfect combination of delicious food and serene surroundings.

Grilled food is much better compare to Italian especially grilled chicken. Norwegian Salmon was fat, oily outside and dry inside, without any spices, tasteless, puré also spiceless. Not worth the effort to order and the price. They have huge portions so it is better to share the dish. Service OK, swift and smiling. On Saturday they serve Italian food only.

Brisket was amazing. Syrian kebab ground beef was good but not as epic. The sauces and condiments we got on the side were fantastic. Could not decide on which beer and the server brought some to taste.
Ambiance is casual. It’s crowded and loud. There’s room to sit at the bar and watch the baking of the pies. Also seating outside.

Café Rimon is a insane restaurant, I highly recommend trying the royal breakfast for 2.
Also try the garlic 🧄 Calazone.
Calzone was fantastic as well as the mushroom and cheese app. The location is right outside the Hotel Arthur. Service was a bit slow which seems to be the general consensus, but it's also nice to just sit and rest and not feel hurried out of a place. There is a dairy seating area and a meat seating area with two separate menus.
The owner was very nice. He let me sit there for nearly 2 hours while I waited for my friends. I only had a cup of coffee.

We came for a sister's lunch hoping for a nice time. We were sat outside in the cold, the waiters constantly forgot we existed. The food was mediocre, quinoa wasn't fresh, vegetables were old. Every dish came at another time so we didn't actually eat together, one finished and then the other came.
Never going there again!

Great food. Great atmosphere co distantly good no matter what you order. Nice service quick and they keep the crowds moving pretty speedily. It was a chilly rainy night and they kept it cosy with heaters on the outside room and pleasantly warm and cosy inside. Always a good meal and great service

We were there for a family birthday celebration. The food was good, and so was the service. The staff was pleasant.
But they had us at one long table right near the entrance which made conversation somewhat difficult ... people came from many areas of Israel and some were visiting. A private room or more secluded area would have been greatly appreciated.

Bottom line - if you have a nice budget and want to eat in this part of town, then this place will do.
They offer some signature dishes which I can recommend.

Pros: size of portions; quick service; quality of food; decent vibe.

Cons: very expensive; location has no easy parking; no meat dishes (it's Kosher).

This is a great spot for a very impromptu meal for us. The seating is very comfortable inside and outside and we were giving great service. We happen to be on the right timing for the business lunch, which was from 12 to 5 PM. The best was the appetizer, the pea soup was excellent, and so was the salad. I think the very best after that was the steak – it was cooked perfectly and hard on the outside nice and rare on the inside, and the wine sauce was literally perfect. The chicken pasta was a little weird, but also cook perfectly. Overall a very great experience and we will definitely go back. The service was also excellent!

I always love this place. I usually go to the branch on Emek Refaim street but this was an even better location as the parking is easier and the view of the botanical gardens is spectacular. The restaurant itself is beautiful, service is good. The menu is varied and my favorite dish are the Teriyaki Salmon Skewers served on a bed of basmati rice with green beans and peas on top. It’s something very special. The pasta is excellent and the kids menu is nice sized and reasonably priced.

We were there in an birthday event. I believe that the people who invited us paid a lot of money but the guests got second rate food. Most of the salad and dishes (pasta, pizza) were too salty. There was nothing special or tasty except of the chocolate cake which was served as a dessert and was OK.

Mixed feelings.
There's both indoor and outdoor seating, a "smoking section" outside and the decor is pleasing, though it does feel crowded.
I ordered the fungi pizza and my husband got salmon shawarma. As entrees go, the pizza was a nice size and very delicious (though could've used more mushrooms(, but the salmon shawarma was a bit deceiving. It needed a side salad to round it out as an entree, and we had to ask for the tahini that was supposed to come with it as it was omitted. Also, the menu described it as being in "frena bread", and had we known that they meant "pita", we might have skipped it, for it wasn't satiating enough for my husband.

We were standing at the front desk taking care of our bill when a waitress passed by and tripped. Her tray flew to the ground, glasses shattered and a wave of sauce spattered my husband's jacket and pants. They apologized and tried to help dab it up, but the sauces appeared to be oil-based and the jacket and pants were stained. We're going to have to dry clean them.

I was surprised that nobody offered anything, not a free dessert as an apology, not to pay for the dry cleaning, nothing. We left with a somewhat unpleasant feeling.

EDITED TO ADD: I sent the second half of this review to Caffit's facebook page, and they contacted me! They apologized again, offered us to bring the clothing to the restaurant for them to clean and have prepared us a voucher for a free couple's breakfast! Now that's more like it! I'll let you know how it is. :)

Delicious but more expensive than usual for Pessach. They charge each person 12 shequels to get salads and side dishes. The main dish doesn't come with a side dish so you almost obligated to pay the extra 12 shequels to get your side dish. The good thing is that they keep filling it!
Great restaurant offering a dairy menu with traditional "American-style" Italian offerings. Excellent place for dates! They have a private room too for meetings or larger groups.
I am a tour guide and I recently brought a small group to the restaurant for lunch. We were all very pleased with the food, service and environment. A special thank you to Amir who graciously helped us build a menu that suited our needs and budget.

Medita is a modern Mediterranean Meat restaurant. They use high quality ingredients and it can be tasted in their dishes.
I decided to go for lunch and take advantage of their lunch special. I highly recommend trying out higher end restaurants that have lunch specials if you can. I got an appetizer and a main for the price of just a main course. The focaccia bread and dips come as part of your order as well. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere with a contemporary yet retro decor. I noticed that they also have a large room that could be used for a party of probably 80 - 100 ppl. A great venue to celebrate with an attentive staff and clean bathrooms 🎊🎊🎊 I check every restaurant 😆
A clean bathroom usually means a clean kitchen. Medita has an open kitchen so you can check it out yourself 😄

Really yummy food, but at times a bit too fancy for its own good. We came here for our anniversary and enjoyed almost everything we ate, but there was always at least one weird thing in each dish. The only exceptions were the fresh baked bread which melted in your mouth and the cole slaw which came with the Asado and was truly excellent.

The service was great! Seating inside or outside. Part view of the grass and trees and other side mountain with property developments at work. The menu is big so my guess is its pre prepared and not fresh from scratch. Taste is ok. Prices are ok

The food was great. Not too expensive, considering the quality of the , food, service and ambiance. The waiters were very friendly. The portions were large and delicious. They also had a substantial kids menu which is always a plus when looking for a place to eat out with kids.

Tried the special of the day, Asian Salmon. It was perfect. Not too sweet teriyaki sauce, crispy skin, served hot on a bed of very lightly sauteed vegetables.

The location of the restaurant is quite tricky, so stick with google maps directions. Medita has delicious and very aesthetic plates presentation. the waiters team is super nice and attentive to our needs. I liked this place very much and intending to come back soooon!

Come her with no hesitation, hungry and starving. Kosher meat 🍖 fabulous rest.
Everything you have is amazing and precise.
The desserts are marvelous!
Fantastic unique atmosphere underground in an ancient vault next to the Temple Mount with original design decor and great food. Great place for a celebration.

The best restaurant in Har Hotzvim serving traditional Israeli cuisine. Big menu with many of your popular meat and veggie dishes.

Located across the gas station on the upper floor of the building. It's an easy walk from the bus station.

The owner and the wait staff are friendly, firm with recommendations, and quick with the refills.

I really enjoyed the free mezzas that come with every meal. They overload you with hummus, tahini, babaganoush, beets, carrots and much more. All to be stuffed into delicious fresh pita bread.

The steak, lamb kebab, chicken breast fillet and wings are all equally good.

If you're in the area, drop by for lunch or dinner.

A really nice and intimate coffee-restaurant place in the middle of Jerusalem. Great, tasty and quality food. Service is friendly, fast and welcoming. Their green Shakshuka is really good! You can also have take away.
Enjoy :)

We had the foise gras, sweet breads, asado, and grilled chicken livers. Every dish was delicious, perfectly prepared and beautiful. This was a part of their Passover menu in 2019. There was some similarity in the plating but the dishes were excellent. Even the plates were perfectly chosen for getting the sauciest bite on your fork.

The service needs some work, but it’s a new restaurant that applied a Passover overlay on its new staff. But service and dining experience will be key here.
The steak was excellent. It was however very pricey and the portion was quiet small. I guess the way steaks are sold in Israel is by the ounce which is also the price listed. There's also a minimum of I believe 6 oz. I don't often have the opportunity to have good kosher steak so I splurged, but I certainly could not afford to do that often. My wife had the fish special. I think it was Cod. She claimed it was very good as well.

This place has one of the best views in all Jerusalem, directly across the walls of the Old City in the posh Mamilla mall. The food is excellent, generously portioned and reasonably-priced for the location. The service is good - friendly and fast wait staff. It's one of my favorite restaurants to eat at, I highly recommend it.
Tourist restaurant. Prices are high, food is medium quality, there is a strange smell inside. The only 2 good things in this restaurant is that it's Kosher (if you care about that) and the fact that it's very close to the Kotel.

Lechem Basar was phenomenal. I was staying just around the corner at The Dan Boutique, and it's just a three minute walk.

I had the house bread as a starter, warm & soft, super tasty. For my main I had the filet, which came with plentiful veggies and roasted potatoes. It was tender and the veggies and potatoes were great, so fresh.

It was a delicious meal, one of the best I had on my trip. Highly recommended!

Very good location and restaurant is well designed.
Service is great, professional and fast.
The Rib Eye Steak and Salomon dishes are small and pretty expensive (1 star less)
The Senya (chopped lamb meat in cooked bred) is big and very tasty, flagship dish of the place.
Very nice lunch spot in the Old City with very friendly staff.
