And treat everyone with kindness and at the same time…

Came to this place because of the book written by Daniel Meyer in hospitality strategy. Very good service and food for this price in the city. We would like to visit back again.

We loved the place. The food was good, on time! We made a reservation for brunch 45 mins before. Its easier… the waiting time by just walking in looks long. We order a spicy salmon tartare that was so crunchy and tasty; I algo got a Matcha latte that was rich and perfect temperature. For main course I order a Kale quinoa salad that was really good too. The chips with blue cheese on top were also really good! Definitely a good place for brunch.

Great vibes and great Mediterranean Flavors. Definitely an amazing experience. Not expensive at all!!
P. S. Great Handcrafted Cocktails
Wir waren unter der Woche morgens hier. Es war nicht voll. Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher Service und ein extrem leckeres Frühstück! Die Eggs Benny sind sehr zu empfehlen :)
We had the most wonderful time. The best cream cheese and locks bagel I have ever had in addition to the best potato latke I have ever had. And note my bagel was gluten free, it was super emotional and amazing to be able to enjoy it at such a pivotal spot in the city. 🌆 It was absolutely incredible and it was so special to eat and be in a space so treasured by New Yorkers and so vital to the history of Jewish immigration and cookery.
So wonderful that it’s female owned.
You would feel the love and care in everything from the food to the decor. The staff were so welcoming and informative and I am so grateful I got to go. The classic bagel and lox was sensational as were the latkes. This place deserves every star, moon, whatever award it seeks to get. I do recommend going early as there are no reservations. Otherwise, enjoy at your fullest! ✨💖

Not a bad place, standard Greek-type fare, but out-of-control pricing. I don’t mind paying more for something worthwhile, but a plate of oven-warmed octopus appetizer is $30? Why? A glass of wine was $17, and the portion was absolutely miserly. Won’t be returning, I’m afraid.
I tried this place after seeing it recommended online and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I was alone so I was seated at the bar which was arguably the best in the whole restaurant. I really loved the vibes and the overall ambiance. I tried my first egg cream here and it was surprisingly tasty. The service was quick, easy, and I never felt rushed to leave.

Everything is ridiculously good and the portions are bigger than I expected. Service was amazing. It's a great soothing atmosphere, I would definitely come back. Highly recommend ordering the kebabs and lemon patatoes, you won't regret it.

The best coffee and the best almond croissant! Very friendly service. Interesting art on the walls.

If there was something negative... The seating area is tiny and it was a bit messy during our visit.
Best Manousheh I’ve ever had. Their kefta sandwich was super delicious too! Loved this place. I wasn’t a big fan of the spinach pie, it was a bit bitter though. Still a real gem of a place to eat at.
Great brunch option on the LES. During peak hours you will wait 45mins to an hour, but it was worth it. I’d wait longer for the goat cream cheese and pastrami cured salmon.

The hot/cold cure salmon dip was fantastic. We also loved the eggs Benedict and the deviled eggs.

Found the service to be a little slow, but we weren’t in a rush so it was fine.

Today was my first visit, and it was incredibly delightful! I'd recommend trying the burrito with meat. it was fantastic. Every other dish was equally delicious. The staff, especially the guide and server Justin, were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. I'm definitely planning to come back again soon!"

Tried the thanksgiving sandwich and lenwich should not be operating if thats what they have to offer. Easily in the bottom 3 sandwiches of my whole life. Not the workers fault thats corporate or managements mess and it should be removed today. Thing was tasteless, dry and seemed cheaply made

I came to this place after seeing it on Instagram. Unfortunately, this place didn’t meet expectations. Tried falafel flavored one, I tasted everything except falafel. On top of that, mint and pickled turnips were overpowering and there’s a bad aftertaste left. Not sure if I would come back.

Super unique spot we went to for breakfast. Delicious options between the banana bread, French toast, pancakes and burrito. Loved the menu options and the personal coffee pots. Staff was very accommodating to fit our relatively larger party in a small, vibrant, modern space. Would highly recommend!
The food is authentic, and the staff are very nice. We went on a Friday around 7:30p and it was pretty full which is a good sign. I would have given this place 5 stars across the board, but a few things took away from that:

1. It was my first time eating here. Came with co-workers who frequent this place. They don't have beers listed on the menus, so you just have to know about them.

2. Apparently, they usually serve bread to every table before each meal comes out, but we didn't get that. Even asked for it, but it never arrived.

3. I ordered a roasted chicken sandwich, but was informed that they were out of chicken (which is odd since at least half of their menu items are chicken).

4. After settling for the pork sandwich, but no mayo, and it was very dry (maybe that's why they included the mayo) and while the bread was thoroughly toasted, I could tell it was also a bit stale due to the way it crumbled.

5. It seemed to take a while to get out our food, which was essentially 3 sandwiches, and 2 were the same order.

Nice staff, decent prices, gif location, friendly atmosphere, and decent food. I just wouldn't go out of the way, or recommend it as a spot. There are much better places in the neighborhood.

Love going out for brunch and I am always looking for new places to explore around the city.
The brunch is more aesthetically pleasing than it tasted.
I loved the coffee though I had a latte.
I also got the crème brûlée French toast loved the crust but not the crème brûlée filling.
The portion is okay for the price.
I also got the mimosa and all I can say is the portion was generous.
It was kind of a wait but moves fast.
The hostess was very gracious.
The staff were all nice and the food comes out very fast.

A must visit breakfast spot on the Lower East Side.

We came on a Saturday morning shortly after opening hour and immediately got a table. Order of the day was scrambled eggs with sturgeon, lox bagel, and french toast. All absolutely delicious. Service staff was lovely, and overall I enjoyed the vibes here 😊

Amazing place for brunch with sooo many options.

Besides the classic menu, which borderlines on fine dining, with extensive options, they also have some special seasonal options (some eggs benedict, mushrooms, etc, when I went).

They make a hell of a coffee, one of the best in NYC. But the food is super good nonetheless. The chorizo breakfast burrito was super tasty, with the salsa verde sauce on the side complimenting it very well.

The creme brulee french toast is as good as it sounds. We initially thought that the oranges don’t fit it, and honestly would’ve been better without it, but they’re on the top so you can pick them off. But the interior with creme brulee was divine!

The avocado toast (the smash) was great, nothing special, but delicious nonetheless.

Would not recommend. Owner is extremely rude. I overheard talking down to an employee. Just look at how he responds to other people in the reviews. There are too many coffee shops in NYC for them to treat their customers and employees this way. Find another place. Overrated.

Only a few seatings are available compared to other branches. It's really confusing where the ordering counter is, and the staff don't acknowledge the customers. They were too focused on organizing the mobile orders and the multideck fridges. They forgot my ice latte and didn't notice it until I went back to the counter to tell them. This location has Wifi, but no power outlets to charge your laptop.

A really wonderful spot for brunch and breakfast If there are only two of you. It is crowded and chaotic.
I found the front desk individual cold and a bit dismissive that it wasn’t clear where to stand or to give a name (the check in is quite inset from the entrance. And with crowds it doesn’t seem clear)

But once we sat we had a wonderful server who was kind, funny, and helped us choose the best items on the menu.

The food was delicious and they didn’t rush us - what more can we want?
Casual dining. Had the lunch special and Cubano. Lunch special portion is generous, juicy chicken on fluffy yellow rice with well cooked beans. Cubano pork was very tasty and the sandwich was properly pressed but was missing yellow mustard. Service was fast and friendly.

Busy during morning rush, but staff works hard and are very nice!
It's a tiny little lebanese bakery that's stands tall among all other bakeries! As soon as you walk in the smell of the dough and the bakery will take you back to your childhood (if you grew up earing lebanese pies for brekafast). The pies were amazing. The service was great, very authentic lebanese pies (manaeesh) we had the cheese, the meat and the one and only zaatar (thyme) this is my 2nd time here and whenever I visit NYC I make it a point to stop by.
The bakery is super cool 😎 it has this feeling of being outside of New york, and back in Lebanon 🇱🇧 the music they play just the whole thing for me it was amazing.

Lenwich never disappoints and this branch is no exception.
We got a smoke burger with amazing fries and a Greek salad.
The half and half latte was excellent. Portions are big and we had to take out to finish it all off.

The Lincoln Square location is one of our go-to whenever we visit Central Park bec it’s just right around the corner. We love their potato chips with blue cheese fondue for appetizer, and I always order their black pasta, while my husband orders their gnocchi. If the weather is nice, we usually do outside seating.
A nice little coffee shop with great food and well done coffee. The Holy Shishito was fantastic. Soft eggs, with a nice spicy kick and nicely toasted bread. Added avocado to make it even better. The pour over coffee options are smooth and varied in origin. The chai latte was perfectly spiced and smooth. Avocado toast was loaded and very nice touch with the pepitas. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to those in the area of Grand Central.
Wonderful experience here. Got the chicharrones de pollo on bone with a side of plantains and salad, and for dessert, flan. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was great. There was plenty of room inside and it was clean and cared for. Will definitely come back.

Long overdue love letter to The Smith! With my first experience being at the East Village location, I have been eating, drinking, snapping shots in the photo booths and making memories at the various locations for over 10 years now. What keeps me coming back? Quality and consistency. No matter what time of day, day of the week, occasion or location (I've even dined in DC), you can always expect the same great atmosphere, attentive and knowledgable service, stellar beverages and crave-able food staples with just enough seasonal surprises to keep things interesting. The Smith is my go-to restaurant for every occasion- from a casual business lunch to milestone birthday celebrations for myself and loved ones, and a must-stop for out of town visitors!

Arrived at this restaurant and decided to sit outside although the decor inside is stunning. The waiter was quite attentive at first. Ordered a crab cake as an appetizer and it was decent. Also ordered a tulum margarita. It was okay.

For lunch i ordered the pacific halibut which was spinach risotto and halibut also okay. The risotto itself was pretty good although a bit dry and the fish itself was underseasoned. The sauce was the only thing carrying it. The dumplings were awful. It’s far too thick for the amount of meat inside.

Although a pretty decent dining experience. I honestly wouldn’t dine here again, the drinks & food are quite expensive for the lack of flavor and taste. There’s nothing exciting about either even with the 4 garnishes in my drink lol.

Service got lazy towards the end of dining, the server refilled my sparkling water which wasn’t finished with flat water. & I had to chase him down to pay for my food.

I came here Sunday brunch around 11AM. I got the Eggs Benedict and it was the best I've ever had. The home fries had a unique twist being heavily seasoned accompanied with onions. My mom got the goat cheese omelette. Outdoor seating is a bit crowded and the service was a bit slow. Indoors they have a very nice bathroom for patrons. I definitely recommend this place for brunch if you couldn't get a reservation at Tavern On The Green (which is what happened to us).

I absolutely love this place! The staff are wholesome and bubbly. They’re fun to converse with and learn about too! And the whole place feels lively and friendly.

I love the rustic aesthetic of the place along with the Lebanese and Arabic touches. The place also smells heavenly at times from the baking and Arabic coffee.

I tried their spinach fatayer and akawe cheese manaeesh and they both exceeded my expectations! The cheese manaeesh was oozing with gooey warm stretchy akawe cheese that warms your heart on chilly days! And the spinach fatayer was first, HUGE, and second, very savory and slightly tangy inside. Literally mouthwatering.

This is a lovely place with lovely people. And if you’re craving maneesh or feeling a bit homesick and nostalgic towards Levantine food, this place is perfect.

Must try visiting with friends, nibbling on manaeesh, and watching people walking on Bleecker street.
Their salmon bagel is such a healthy and yummy sandwich. It makes my soul happy. I love the lil sprouts on it
Great black coffee too
A place that falls below expectations for a stylish restaurant with branches.
First of all, since it said “Big Salads” on the menu and the price was twice that of average salads, I expected it to be a big and satisfying salad, but the salad was not satisfying at all.
While I was expecting the grilled chicken to be hot and juicy just taken off the grill, it was a big disappointment to see the portioned frozen chickens put in the microwave.
A stylish venue and good service are not enough; they must offer quality plates that are worth the money.
Went here on a Wednesday to accompany a visiting friend. Apparently the place is highly recommended online. Pros for me are: great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
The place is a little cramped though. We ordered the Classic board which I would not order again. It is an expensive deconstructed bagel- you will have to assemble yourself, and sadly it's not the best one I've had. I think this is not something i should have ordered here. I asked for it to be toasted but by the time it got to me it was barely even warm. Their menu is just the right size and I really regret not ordering something else. This is more like a sit down restaurant and I felt weird eating a bagel there. Id consider going back to try the other items tho.
This has been a favorite and a good-to for me for over a decade now. I used to go here multiple times a week when I was a personal trainer at a private studio a few blocks away in 2011-2012 and I’ve long moved out of NYC but I make sure to swing by every time I visit. The coffee, bagels, and pastries are great. I even love their oatmeal and have tried to recreate it at home. Do not sleep on this tiny little gem nestled in the West Village

The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. However, great service from the waiting staff.

The hot chocolate and chai latte we ordered was not really warm. Given the cold weather and rain we wanted a hot drink but came in a lower temperature.

Good ambience for a nice breakfast

Stopped in around 4:30 today and the staff were so nice and helpful, the chocolate brownie cookie they suggested was deliciousss, definitely coming back!
Found a Lebanese gem in NYC. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic manouche place, and it instantly felt like a home away from home. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in this cozy establishment. Their commitment to authenticity was evident, and the wide-ranging menu left me spoiled for choice.
I couldn't resist trying the zaatar, cheese pies, and spinach fatayar, and each bite was a mouthwatering revelation. To complement these delectable treats, I opted for a side of labne (yogurt) dip, which added a delightful creaminess to the meal. The pies, in particular, were a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked.
Overall, my experience at this manouche place was nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Middle Eastern cuisine served with exceptional hospitality, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to be back!
Being a big fan of French toast and having tried it in a bunch of cities, I can say with complete certainty that the French toast here is the best! It is moist yet not soggy, perfect in every way. The tartness from the apple is well balanced with the cinnamon sugar in the bread. Amazing!
Their coffee was great too! Overall, 10/10
Will definitely be going back there soon!

Visited here while I stopped by NYC. Love the city and this place looked like a nice small chain shop. Really nice sandwiches, kinda like a Panera (but better) vibe type of place.

Only con is I used the restroom at the wrong time. Some guy was shooting up some drugs in the bathroom. I guess I got the true NYC experience.

My husband is Lebanese and I’ve been to Lebanon so I know how the really good traditional Lebanese food should taste. I had food delivered from this restaurant (fast food) Chicken musakkhan and zaatar and I am completely disappointed. Both are horrible. This is fast food/street food and nothing to do with good Lebanese cuisine. I don’t recommend it! It’s an imitation of Lebanese food.

Does new smoked salmon sandwich worth 12$? NO. The bun is wet. Soaked from cream cheese and veggies. Better to buy freshly made one in a bagel place
Good food for a decent price. Tradional breakfasts here. Very well prepared and the service is excellent. I don't think I ever had corn pancakes before which I find delicious. We weren't the biggest fans of the smashed plantains. Kind of grits but made with green plantains. Overall a good eating experience.

Very nice, comfortable place. Good drinks and food, fast and professional service.

It's super crowded on Friday evening. Better to reserve ahead. They have outdoor and indoor seating. There's a huge bar inside too. Restrooms are well maintained.

We ordered few drinks, lobster roll and salmon for dinner. I liked the City Bird a lot. Salmon was cooked excellent with all side ingredients complimenting the dish. Lobster roll was yummy, served with crunchy fries.

I was impressed with their service. The food came out so fast. We were in and out within 45 minutes.

I came here for happy hour with my friends, and we had a great time! The happy hour menu is a great deal, with drinks from $8-13, and a good selection of food to try!

❖ My favorite drink was the bramble, which was boozy and fruity! The greek sangria was pretty good too.

❖ For food, the keftedes was tasty and tender! I’ve actually never had it before, so it was a welcome surprise. The mezze trio and chicken kebab were also delicious.

If you’re looking for a nice place to stop by and get drinks, I would recommend stopping by!

C'est très good! Very comfy place to study to eat and have a good time. Love it!
This is the perfect example of a hole in the wall Dominican Restaurant. The whole ambiance is rowdy with a sense of familiarity and good food! We got a service of free buttered bread that was a bit too toasted but good (though I'm biased to anything bread related lol), I had the pork mofongo that lacked a bit of seasoning while my fiancé had the Cuban Sandwich that was really delicious and came with a bit of fries so we also got a side of tostones that to us (me being PuertoRican) were a bit too thick and somewhat overcooked. I also got the Dominican sandwich which I will say was the best thing I had from them and will definitely get again on another time around. I might give them a second chance just to try other food from their menu in the hopes of finding some redemption. PD: It's New York so Parking SUCKS around this area but it's easily accessible by Subway!

Pretty good food but having the server say that there’s a time limit on how long you could stay was a little off putting.

I personally found the sticker prices for the meals to be a lot higher than expected what you’re getting. $18 cocktails and pushing $40 for an entree. The tables felt wobbly for a place that seemed to be marketing itself as a higher end place.

All that being said, the food was good—even if perhaps heavy on the salt content. Nice atmosphere for a meal in the city.

I accidentally spilled my coffee and the staff was super friendly and prompt in cleaning it up and giving me a replacement coffee! Shout out to Tai and Michelle for that. Also Tai helped in getting me water. Even patrons (traffic police that were here at the time were helpful in getting me help :) )
Good food a reasonable price. My colleague ordered traditional Dominican food, which they loved, and I went for the more adventurous side and got a secret Dominican Cuban sandwich. The setup feels more for dining in than ordering out. If you are in a rush, I would recommend ordering in advance as the food takes some time to come out.
Absolutely the worst Pret ever. The staff are so unfriendly. I go there most day and buy my breakfast and lunch and a coffee spending upwards of $30 but I will never be back again. The lady behind the counter I’m pretty sure she is a manager has absolutely no customer service skills it’s like you’re bothering her by being there. I will be taking my business elsewhere in future

Never been to this place before, I was very hungry, and undecided and that’s when I decided to try this place! Didn’t know what to expect and I loved it! Would totally go back. Fantastic sandwich and for the city and how big the sandwich was I think the price is fine!
Pret can be a fast place to get a reasonable bite with reasonable calories, and a coffee and treat if you wish. We prefer the salad offerings, but the Moroccan lentil soup is textured, reliable, and even uncommonly scrumptious on a cold day. One of the better chains for freshness and healthy options.
I was lucky enough to stay in a hotel very close to Lenwich. I entered with no big expectations for breakfast, had a bagel and a coffee. The bagel was good, not unforgettable, but the coffee was to me the best one I had in NYC. I love coffee and ai try it as much as possible and I can say that this one was my favorite for sure in the Big Apple! Don’t hesitate to go!
Food was delicious. Good service. Candy was our waitress and she was perfect. Nice place and very reasonably priced. I would go again….

Overpriced. Sandwiches are smaller then ever. Giant bread and small contents. This location is old and faded. Dust balls on the floor if you look. No reason to eat here really.

Amazing selections of sandwiches to choose from.
The spicy chicken is flavorful and well seasoned. Comes with mozzarella, Tabasco, hot pepper, onions & lettuce. Would not recommend if you are unable to finish the whole sandwich. The sandwich will become soggy if left out for awhile due to the Tabasco.
Although the name of the sandwich is fun to say, Big Daddy, it was a big dry.
The sandwich originally comes with mozzarella, sweet onions, steak, Sriracha, red pepper & avocado. The sandwich I received had no Sriracha and no condiments. The meat was dry and no additional sauce or condiments. The sandwich heavy replied on the avocado to provide additional texture and moisture.
My recommendation is to place your order ahead of time via online or phone.

Had a quick dine-in breakfast here. Service wasn't particularly fast, but it wasn't slow and there were a fair number of people ordering carryout. I had a breakfast sandwich with some add-ons and oatmeal, both if which were fantastic. The seating area is clean and well-lit. Would come back again to try some of their lunch options!

Food's made fresh daily, tasty and often organic. And Pret says they're open until 7 p.m., 7 days, again. The pickings were slim, though, 2 p.m. hour.
Stopped by here after seeing it last week during my very roundabout morning commute. Today, I had the best breakfast sandwich outside of my native South, the Buttermilk Biscuit with egg, actual cheddar cheese, and sausage. Big, hearty---excellent biscuit. I'm going to ask where they get them from next time I'm there or if they make them in-house. Loved, loved, loved it. Had a fresh pressed Cucumber Chill too, also good but an acquired taste methinks. UPDATE: returned a week later and had same biscuit but with bacon, ahhhh, bacon (my wife usu forbids it these days, shhhhh) and it was a again delicious, so they seem to be consistently good!

Awful! The salads are not fresh and usually sit on shelf for 3-4 days; very often the lettuce is slimy, smells rotten and avocado is blacken. The staff is awful- they are rude, use inappropriate language and create at time uncomfortable and hostile environment. The manager simply doesn’t care and acts the same. Do NOT recommend going there.

I used the ritual app to experience this place because it’s near my work place! I got the roast beef with Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato with the hero sandwich. Everything is good and there is a lots of filling on my sandwich. But I wish they could heat up my meat and cheese because I didn’t like it cold.

The staffs are very friendly at every time shift. Though it’s not a huge store, it’s organized very well and clean. Don’t miss out their chicken & bacon sandwich.

New store which is the worst in regards to layout and staff. I was really excited when they first opened since I work right next door. First the layout of the store doesn’t work. Everyone is in each other’s way since there is a pole in front of the registers. Second and actually worse is the staff / manager. They are rude, slow and always busy chatting with each other or checking their phones which they have right next to them at the register. No interaction with the customers whatsoever. No greeting, no nothing. There are two more locations in a 2 block radius. Go there and don’t bother trying this one.

So clean. So friendly. So convenient. Why go to. 'Bucks' when you can go here. Oh and they have seats, a bathroom, and choices. I had a vanilla latte, paid on my ap. Delicious and good to go. Yes!

My go-to spot for lunch during the week, the staff here are so friendly. Sandwiches are always fresh and I love their iced teas for summer - they do both black and green, both are unsweetened and super refreshing. Their breakfast yogurt, chia pudding cups are really cute and delicious too.
