We try to buy ticket+ via credit card payment by the machine but the ticket didn’t come out after transaction succeeded. The service madam doesn’t accept English communication, finally we cannot get refund of the payment and have nothing to do but pay by cash again for new transaction.

Very unfriendly and incompetent staff. Nothing seems to work properly.

I was barely on time for my train having ran the whole distance because the previous train had been 1h delayed, the platform guards wanted to. let me enter, but because I mentioned that there were also still a mother and child coming they stopped me. I explained that they were not even my woman and child, but the guards blocked my path until the 2 min. mark before the scheduled departure of the train had been reached and then told. me that it was too. late now. Extremely unfair and disrespectful.

I addition, the ticket exchange lady then booked me on a train 3 hours later saying that this was the next connection, even though there was another train only one hour later as I found out when checking in the app. So, I paid another 80€ for this train in order to missing the bus connection. But then this train was out of order.

I'll be generous and give it 4 stars (bc I can't give it 3.5)
Positives: pretty intuitive layout, though it helps to speak French.
The checkin styles are efficient for self help and work like any European airport with a bar code scan.
Centrally located to the city of Paris.

Negatives: uber has to drop you far off or in the basement, this is bc the station now accommodates only taxis.... France.
In this entire station, I found only 1 small bathroom in the basement in hall 3 AND not free.. eur1.
For the volume of people, seating is at an extreme premium with no sections for handicapped
I know elevators exist, but they are very hard to find and not intuitive...
Perhaps I should have given this 3 stars....

The Gare de Lyon in Paris stands as a testament to both architectural splendor and historical prominence. Its façade, adorned with intricate detailing and crowned by a distinctive clock tower, exudes a timeless charm that captivates visitors. Constructed in the late 19th century, the station seamlessly blends classic design with modern functionality.

Internally, the Gare de Lyon caters to the diverse needs of travelers. A myriad of shops, ranging from boutiques to bookstores, lines its corridors. The station's restaurants offer a culinary journey, providing passengers with diverse dining options. Lounges provide a comfortable space for waiting and relaxation.

Functionally, Gare de Lyon is a pivotal transportation hub, connecting Paris to an extensive network of domestic and international destinations. The efficiency of its train services underscores its importance in facilitating seamless travel experiences.

Beyond its utilitarian role, the station serves as a vibrant microcosm of Parisian life. The constant ebb and flow of passengers, combined with the ambient hum of activity, create a dynamic atmosphere. The Gare de Lyon is not merely a transit point; it is a living, breathing entity that reflects the pulse of the city it serves.

IIn the end, the Gare de Lyon transcends its role as a transportation hub, standing as an architectural gem and a cultural touchstone in the heart of Paris.

Nice station and secured, unlike gare du nord where you get all kinds trying to scam you, etc. This train station is very quiet.

The station's architectural beauty immediately caught my attention. The ornate details, grandeur, and the iconic clock tower make it a true landmark of Paris. It's a place where history meets modernity.

The station's layout and signage are well-designed, making it easy to navigate, even for a first-time visitor. Whether you're catching a train, or grabbing a quick snack, the station offers a seamless travel experience.

The efficient train schedules and helpful staff make your travel experience smooth and hassle-free.

Huge station, very pretty building, useful for thr Eurostar and not too far walk from the centre and sights of Paris.

Area around the station isn't the nicest, a little run down and shabby, but station itself is great.

Lots of bars, cafes and shops. Could do with some more seating though.

I did not like the station, it was very confusing and mot many employees were around to help me, and it even seems as if there are no information desks to ask things and directions. It was neat enough, the toilets were paid and okay

The station closes and you have to pay to use the facilities. Which is silly. There are vagrants which have no problem coming up to you for change or food. No news there, Miami is the same. There is no security staff and the coffee machines are turned off at 6 am, which is the only time anyone needs coffee 🙄 I watched so many missed opportunities to have the machines actually work. Anywho, the outside is quite amazing and it’s centrally located to the sights of France.

Huge, really huge. Very highly maintained. So many shops and stores inside. It is like a small shopping mall in itself. Escalators and lifts are available. Very crowded but spacious.

Very grand station with trains coming in from all over France.
Some nice shops inside.
One of the issues is that directions aren't very clear.
Also there are so many people coming and going and waiting for a taxi can take a long time.

Huge and wonderful station! So many connections, spacious and has plenty of shops within. Large screens that clearly detail where your train departs from. I speak virtually no French and I’m able to get easily around the station, but if you really struggle you can just ask someone ‘ excusez-moi ‘ x

Women toilet was not accessible so I entered the men toilet, the only thing I can say is I put a step in and felt nauseated cause the smell of piss was so strong I felt like throwing up. It's disgusting that for such a Station the service cleanings are so poor. I'm still waiting to empty y bladder cause it's been the most disgusting toilet I've ever been.

One of the main train stations that serves Paris city. Trains coming from Switzerland terminates here. I recently arrived here from Basel on a Saturday night. It was not much crowded. I was supposed to take a subway metro train to Villejuif and the line was easy to find. The locals were very helpful and supported me even carrying my luggage on stares.

This is the arrival station for the Eurostar train from London. To be honest once we were off the train our experience was disgusting. Needing a taxi we were directed down a street alongside the station and to a taxi rank that smelled of urine. The rank seemed to be under the control of burley security guards from the southern continent. There was a lone frenchman attempting to control it. We were being told go by the meter etc etc. We had two false starts due to the driver not accepting card, cash only. Finally we did get on our way and arrived at our hotel.

We did use this station again three days later and had a trouble free trip.

The service and help is really bad here. Very chaotic. Our train got cancelled, we got a voucher of 3,50 euros and we had 10 min to catch the next train. They crossed almost all the coffee shops on this voucher, and we could only go to two placed which was outside the train station. How illogical.

J’ai travaillé ici plusieurs fois pour des travaux sur des canalisations d’eau de paris
The first time that I used the Euro star from Paris to London, nobody told you where to go you need to read the sign only. It is not convenient like the airport. If you have more than 2 bags, I think you travel by the airplane better.

New scam. While purchasing ticket they will come to help you, then claim you cant pay by card and will pay with their special card , u will get a ticket and then claim for 3 day card ticket . All in front of your eyes but the tickeg will ne just for 1 ride and not for 3/5 days which u had selected. .

Stay careful never pay any one . If card is not working pay at counter. Never cash.

Hard to find information counters at night. Please be aware if you are taking taxi from station don’t get fooled by the chauffers standing outside, they charge you extra 20 euros, be patient and stand in the taxi queue, they follow taxi meter and the queue moves fast and you will get a can and you wont be scammed by other private taxi drivers.

Good metro connection near the B&B hotel. Down the stairs near the entrance, there are multiple terminals to buy tickets or during the day, there's a receptionist beside it where you can ask questions and buy also buy tickets if you do not want to overpay because you picked all the zones. Metro itself was also clean when we visited.

A very large station with trains going around France and some to neighbouring countries. It has a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops to choose from while you wait for your train.

There are also more restaurants and cafes located outside of the station too. It also connects to the Metro (the subway for Paris). It’s very organised and easy to navigate but also gets very busy.

The only downside is the limited seating while you wait for the trains, but other that than, very easy to locate and use. Also, there aren’t many staff around to ask for help. We ended up having to ask strangers for help and directions.
Nice place I love it

Really bad station. The RATP closes subway 14 without notice and these changes are not reflected in Google Maps. So you end up in that part of Paris having to return all the way you came.
The RATP doesn't treat travellers like clients but like objects. They don't care that you count on then to be in time for meetings. Really bad.

Cool 😎 area. Many options of quick on the go food area (eat shop). Find quick sandwiches 🥪 there. The place is located in the middle of city Paris. Metro 🚇 system is amazing. I admire it’s old but just follow the lines and you will reach your destination. This is the area where the buses 🚍 arrived and departure from the other countries of Europe.

Train to Versailles was 10 minutes late with no explanation. Suddenly it fell off the screen, as if it had been cancelled. It then suddenly arrived at the wrong platform. There was no announcement or information stating this. If I hadn’t looked at the WRONG screen (of the other platform), I wouldn’t have known. Irritating experience and no apology.

Great train station !! The trains and metros are new !! Always in time !! You can find bus correspondances in front of it !! The rer C has many branches goes to Versailles, Massy, Pontoise and passes by Notre Dame, Saint ouen, champs de mars and many more key stations ! You can also find the metros 13 and 14 here going to saint lazare ! There are normal stairs and elevators !! the station has good lights too
1st time to try the new correspondence between line 13 and the new extension of line 14. What a disappointment, I was glad because I had a caddy and escalators were working. Right above the platform though elevators direction Olympiades were out of service, found some more elevators, but right before the platform low and behold, stairs.

This is the last stop of T3b tram station... It's an excellent place to rome around...

Also fastest way to reach Paris Central locations... Such as Charles DE Gaulle and George V; which are near to Champs asslyes Street and Effile Tower...
M1 line trains are available from Porte de Vincennes...

Best way to reach to central Paris from endorsement 19th and 20th of Paris..

This was a fine train station and I didn’t encounter any problems. The platform is like any other in Paris and the trains come pretty regularly. It seems fairly clean and did the job. There could be some more seating on the platform While waiting for a train but since they come pretty quickly it’s not too bad.

Not too far and not too near from the city centre, excellent connectivity by bus, metro, the community cycle initiative & taxi. If you like walking then you can actually find quite a few places to roam around (like Moulin Rouge and a couple of similar shops). The park (located near the elevated train station) is adequate for a jog, walk or just to laze around. A decent number of budget hotels, a few upcoming office projects, a few nice bakeries, lots of Turkish fast food joints makes Porte de Clichy a nice little hub for a stopover with a purpose, minus that purpose its hard to pin down a reason to visit this place.
