Generally good experiences and nice people. Sometimes difficult to wait for a pharmacist consult on a new med or conflict and long lines at times but I think they're doing their best and nobody's ever been rude to me.

DAN the pharmacist was very unprofessional and rude on the phone and proceed to hang up on my face before hearing me out. Working in the medical field I understand the high volume of customers this time of year But NO REASON to behave and SPEAK to anyone in that tone and voice. I am not child nor stupid and all we were trying to help our patient out to make sure they got what they needed. I believe he had a bad day or something. If so you're in the wrong field if you can not BE PATIENCE! DAN DO BETTER!!!

Poor customer service. They are always tired and not filling rx on time. Cvs corporate needs to take a look this.

The store is nice and clean but I have experienced numerous issues with the pharmacy over the last four visits. The drive-thru has two lanes but only one works however they don't tell anyone so you just sit there. Every time I have gone there my prescription is never ready and they say I need to come back in 30 minutes to an hour. The last time I returned well past the time I was told and was told it would be another 20-30 minutes. I like Walgreens but do not like to go there two or three times a day.

I'm sure staffing is an issue but they could easily do small things to alleviate some of the problems.

If you value your time and sanity I would suggest you find another place to give your money to.

Very rude pharmacy technicians. I called & made an appointment for 2 vaccinations. One tech told me I could only have one. Another tech said “don’t they know we don’t take walk-ins”. Pharmacist who gave the injections charted both in the same deltoid. This was incorrect as I received one in each arm.

Always a long wait, always out of medications, very slow to get prescriptions to customers. Audible complaints about company policies and work conditions. They seem understaffed and poorly trained.

The worst of the worst. Will make you wait for 10 minutes at drive through window, just to be addressed. Everyone looks like they’re busy & doing something much more important than helping customers. And there was at least 5 “working” in the department, one in a white coat on her cell phone. Thanks for making me late again.

And I’m not going to mention there constant shortage of prescriptions. They can also be given a three day notice of medications that need to be refilled & three days later are still out of stock. I’m not in the minority here, they are not highly regarded in this area.

Horrendous.

Extremely understaffed pharmacy. I have had prescriptions on hold for 2 weeks and can’t get ahold of anyone by phone. When I went in to pick them originally, I was told the pharmacist had to release them. Since there was a line of 10 people behind me I said I’ll come back. Big mistake. Only 2 people working that day, the pharmacist and cashier. Then the pharmacy was closed - for strike? I don’t know.

Awful service and continues to get worse. Closed yesterday with computer issues! Phone call this morning.....they hungup on me. Call this afternoon....33 minutes on hold and associate that answered would not even speak up so she could be heard! I'd really like to know when Walgreen management is going to start caring about there customers again!!!

If I could put 0 stars I would. I had an online coupon and the shelf was marked but the guy at the register refused to honor the coupon.

This is about the pharmacy and not the rest of the store. Pharmacy staff is nice, but my prescription wasn't ready when I got there, and I was over an hour later than it was supposed to be ready. I've had issues with Walgreens in the past, so I only use them in emergencies. I'm glad that it's very infrequent that I need to use this pharmacy.

If you don't have to go here I recommend you don't. Renewing a prescription here is always a task. I can never get anyone on the phone. One time I was on hold and decided to drive to cvs while still being on hold the entire time, walked into the store, and saw them just completely ignoring my call, the phone just ringing. When I went up to the desk and they asked how they could help me, I told them I was the one calling and she said they weren't picking it up because the phone wasn't working.
Recently, my daughter couldn't get her medication because they said it was due to a computer error. It has now been three days without her having her medication.

It is not perfect, but I switched to this location from the one in Wethersfield and it is a night and day difference, especially if you have certain medications that need certain authorizations, approvals, etc. I have only used the drive through and the wait is not long, if there is an issue it is promptly taken care of, and pharmacists have gone above and beyond when a couple doctors didn’t understand certain approval processes with insurance companies and Newington helped guide them. They are not perfect, but one of my doctors even said he’s hardly had to call about issues whereas the other location every month there was a problem due to pharmacists incorrectly inputting information, etc. Pharmacists have always been pleasant at the newington location as well. I am glad to have made the switch and wish I had years ago.

If you want to know the price of allergy meds prior to getting to the register, good luck! A work around is if you have a smart phone with the Walgreen's app you can scan each one to see the price. I did bring this to the manager's attention but he was of zero help, and it appeared I was just an annoyance. When at the register I always use the Walgreens card from my phone's digital wallet and Apple Pay from my watch so my purchase is contactless. Just like It says on the card reader, BUT, it asks you to touch the keypad and enter your zip code. Something that is completely redundant and worse, is no longer a contact less purchase!

Pharmacy is awful, the rest of the store is great with attentive staff. The pharmacy on the other hand seems incapable of properly filling scripts from pain specialist without messing it up and causing the patient to go up to a week without a blood level drug. They will call you to say something is ready, and then after taking a break from work to pickup the meds, for a disabled family member, be told these aren't ready it will be 15 minutes at least. There is NO organization and when you complain about it, they don't want to hear it and and tersely excuse themselves and tell you to just sit and wait. The ONLY good thing about this pharmacy are their longer hours when compared to Cedar street, which has a very helpful and competent pharmacy staff.
