I’ve been coming here for years and I absolutely love it, my favorite thing here is the kayaks. The owners are helpful and the staff is excellent. Enjoy the mighty provo!
Team was super nice and well organized. I did the guided tour as I was unfamiliar with the river. Guide drove us up stream a few miles and we floated down. This was definitely class I rapids. Didn’t get a drop of water on us. A great way to experience the absolutely gorgeous fall foliage.
If you are into white water rafting, check the water flows first. If you just want to chill and experience nature, this is a great way to do it.
Had the best time rafting today! Alex, our guide was great and made the trip fun. Beautiful amazing scenery.
This was so much fun! I can’t wait to come back and do it again! The views were great and it was a peaceful ride! They have small areas you can pull over to rest and eat, we even saw a group that brought a small grill. Our group took about 4 hours in total to float the river because we stopped a few times to warm up as the water was pretty cold. If you’re going to take your time or have a large group, I recommend getting there to be on the river by 1pm at the latest so it’s not dark by the time you make it down. Definitely bring extra sunscreen and shoes you can wear in the water, you will have to get in the water at some points. They had porta potties in the area where you pay and get your life jackets and pit toilets up at the start of the river where the bus drops you off but we didn’t see any during the river ride. The river is fairly shallow except for the end where you get out. We had guys who are over 6’ tall and couldn’t touch in the middle of the river, definitely something to be aware of for smaller people or kids as the water moves quick too. The drive up was easy and parking was free. We paid around $38 per person which to me is a great deal! It included the tube, life jacket, the bus ride up to the start of the river and there’s no time limit. We saw people bring their own tubes too but I saw so many popped tubes from the rocks and sticks in the trash or on the side of the water. The tubes they provide for you are definitely reinforced to handle the river, we didn’t see a single one popped. It was a great day and I can’t wait to do it again next summer!

Thank you, Provo Canyon Outfitters, for an incredible day on the Provo River. Five stars all the way!
It was awesome! Super fun. Note for those who wants to bring babies in, can't do self rafting . You will need to pay for a guide person which is more money. Our plan was all going on one raft but was more expensive $186 more with a guide, so we end up with two raft and only paying $68 for the guide . Plus turn out better having two 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I’m a physician and love taking my office staff to do fun things in an attempt to be “the cool boss” 😜. We chose to do a river run with High Country and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome! I joke with my staff about “team building exercises” because they are often so cheesy, but working together as a team to avoid obstacles and try to hit the fastest currents actually turned out to have that exact, unexpected, benefit! The staff at High Country were so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The rapids are mellow and good for all ages and the scenery is stunning. Prices were certainly reasonable for the service that you receive. I would absolutely recommend an office, friends or family excursion with the High Country family!
Had a blast! Just moved here from South Florida and went with coworkers. Our boys loved it and we can’t wait to go again!
No. Won't go again. Too risky. My sister and our friend both flipped off their tubes, were badly injured, and I could only reach/ save one of them, my sister. When I lost sight of my friend up river, he was standing near the shore, and I prayed someone behind us would be able to pick him up and bring him safely down. It was so scary! The river is so cold, you can easily become numb. I don't recommend it for the average person. Also very expensive.
It's a lot of fun. We enjoyed our time on a river. With temperatures hitting 100, it was very pleasant on water. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours. I recommend getting a paddle with your tube. Otherwise, you will have no way to steer yourself. And you will need it! Few places have sharp rocks or low hanging branches that you want to avoid. Staff is very cheerful and helpful. But be aware, alcohol use is allowed on a river, so some partisapents get very careless by 1/2 of the run, stop paying attention to what is going on around then (or stoped carring), and creating a very dangerous situations. Although only cans officially allowed on a run, some people had glass bottles, and some bottles got broken and left in water. Personally, we got "run over" by a party of 8 young men who joined their tubes together using paddles, limiting their maneuverability. I was standing in a shallow, helping other people in our party when they floated tru us, nocking myself and my daughter of our feet, resulting in many bruises, bleeding scrapes, and minor cut in a head. Because current is very strong, rocks a wet, keeping your stand on a shallow is very difficult. It's almost impossible to move, They have seen us standing there about good 25 feet away, did not try to avoid us. Afterward, one yelled at us because we made him spill his cocktail. Again, this is not referring to a company. They provide overall great experience and steady and safe equipment. It reflects on people's selfish behavior and entitlement.
Nice place to pull in... then turn around and leave. They aren't very helpful when asking questions and their website is practically useless. They don't like anyone besides their customers getting out of the river at their spot... EVEN IF you offer to pay them. So... don't plan on parking your outfit there even though there's PLENTY of room without hindering their business and it's not taking a dime out of their pocket. You can't even pay them to let you park there.

They REALLY need to break up their drop off times below the dam because they act like they own the whole river. They drop off DOZENS of people at the same time and it's hard to get past them in a kayak because they're all bunched up and squeezed together... especially at the trestle.
Had a great time using High Country Adventure to go tubing down Provo River! Tubes seemed really new and sturdy! The last time I went tubing I had an awful experience because my tube went flat at the beginning of the trip.. so, this is infinitely better! It was easy to book and schedule online and the pick up was a very quick and easy process!
Stop looking and book your river excursion!! So much fun whether you tube, raft or kayak!!!
Friendly staff, streamlined system and a beautiful day out on the river.
This is a nice relaxing ride, anyone can do it. Nice view of the mountains as your floating by an had a lot of fun with my brothers.
Great tubing and fun after rope swing , only if you can handle cold water ,yes the water is cold .
