I recently had the most amazing time with my friends tubing down the Provo River, all thanks to Provo Canyon Outfitters! From start to finish, our experience with this outfitter was absolutely top-notch, and I can't recommend them enough.
First of all, the staff at Provo Canyon Outfitters were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. Had a blast! Just moved here from South Florida and went with coworkers. Our boys loved it and we can’t wait to go again!
No. Won't go again. Too risky. My sister and our friend both flipped off their tubes, were badly injured, and I could only reach/ save one of them, my sister. When I lost sight of my friend up river, he was standing near the shore, and I prayed someone behind us would be able to pick him up and bring him safely down. It was so scary! The river is so cold, you can easily become numb. I don't recommend it for the average person. Also very expensive.
Nice place to pull in... then turn around and leave. They aren't very helpful when asking questions and their website is practically useless. They don't like anyone besides their customers getting out of the river at their spot... EVEN IF you offer to pay them. So... don't plan on parking your outfit there even though there's PLENTY of room without hindering their business and it's not taking a dime out of their pocket. You can't even pay them to let you park there.
They REALLY need to break up their drop off times below the dam because they act like they own the whole river. They drop off DOZENS of people at the same time and it's hard to get past them in a kayak because they're all bunched up and squeezed together... especially at the trestle.

Stop looking and book your river excursion!! So much fun whether you tube, raft or kayak!!!
Friendly staff, streamlined system and a beautiful day out on the river.
This is a nice relaxing ride, anyone can do it. Nice view of the mountains as your floating by an had a lot of fun with my brothers.
