Incredibly friendly staff, and went out of there way to give us the best experience possible. They showed my 11 year old son how to create latte art in the nicest way possible, now he wants to start doing it himself for my coffee. Don’t mess around with Starbucks, come here. Now, we will make sure to come here every time we come to Seattle. In fact, it was so memorable, my 11yo asked to leave them a review, thus wrote this one. Thank you.
Amazing find, tucked up on the upper floor in Pike Place Market. Loved the ambience, the staff was super-friendly and they have some really really good coffee and the pastry selection looked super tempting too. Also got one of their coffee mugs for free, as a first time visitor - which was really cool!!

Great little shop. Great customer service. There isn't a place to enjoy your sips inside but it's quick, clean, and easy to get to. They have a pick up window or you can go inside.

Its a nice cozy little Starbucks at the harbor here in Seattle . Its standing room only no places to seat unfortunately . They do have a mobile pick up window .
A fixture in the neighborhood! Cozy and unassuming coffee spot serving up delicious coffee. There’s a verdant outdoor area with more seating! Highly recommend the mocha!
Great coffee at a relatively high price, but comes with a free gift of a mug for any new customers, which I think it is a super sweet & smart idea! It was packed on a Sunday morning when I visited so I ordered a takeaway instead of dine in. Staffs were very nice and attentive despite the line was always long!

The atmosphere is good, but the coffee is bad. Both times Ive been here, my coffee tasted bitter and burnt. I don’t recommend for those who enjoy medium roasts or light. Unfortunately Ive thrown out my coffee both times.
Storyville is a HUGE surprise for what a coffee / pastry shop could be in Pike Place market. The issue with Pike Place recently is that the neighborhood has gotten shady and dirty, let alone smelly fish and dirty bathrooms come to mind. It doesn't bridge a street market experience with upscale comfort and style.

Well, Storyville at the corner building, right at the entrance to the market, solves exactly that. It is at a prime location, swanky and clean interior, and located on the top floor that overlooks the main Pike Place market.

As you climb up the stairs, you enter this corridor where you see this beautiful modern wooden interior - a complete surprise from what one is used to on the shops at Pike Place. There are leather couches and wooden tables all around, and just lounging while staring at the morning market getting ready for the day was simply magical.

But now, let's start with the coffee and drinks. The latte. You must try the latte. It is simply one of the best lattes you'll ever taste. Also depends on the barista that makes it but at least mine was friendly and simply amazing. The cinammon roll with gooey frosting flowing... my god. There is a caramel and chewy textured glaze that is present which makes this pastry feel like a kouign amann. The croissants... they look straight out of a magazine page. They're not as world class as Cafe Besalu's but still up there.

Storyville at Pike Place has definitely transformed my Pike Place experience. It truly elevates the visit. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Storyville at 8am to start your day at the market.

It sucked. They couldn’t get it together. Ordered an iced coffee got a hot one. Got chocolate milk. They didn’t mix it at all. They were not kind or anything wouldn’t recommend. Rude customers and workers. You would think for it being Seattle it would be the best but it’s not. Gas station coffee would be better

I ordered a cold drink and they made it hot and wouldn’t fix it. They didn’t know how to ring in an order for just milkThey also helped other customers before others in our group because they were regular customers. I would not recommend unless you’re desperate.
This is our go-to coffee shop in the area and we come in almost every other day. The coffee that’s roasted in house is top-notch. We’ve ordered several different things (black coffee, cappuccinos, cortados, lattes, decaf, etc) and realized you can’t really go wrong with anything here, including the baked goods. Service is great too- we always seem to run into the same three workers behind the counter, and all have been great. The lines can get pretty long, especially on the weekends. You can even run into a decent sized line on weekdays, but at least the lines usually move pretty fast. Overall, highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area- you won’t be disappointed!

Awesome local spot with really good coffee. Will be coming back here to get beans, but do note there is no wifi, so not the necessarily the best place to work. Love it!

The best! They always make my drink correctly and perfect <3 you can tell they regularly clean everything because the espresso is never bitter like it can be at some other locations and the staff is always so nice and caring.
Absolutely amazing experience!! The staff were so friendly. The cinnamon roll heated up was without a doubt the best pastry I have ever had. The ambience was so lovely, wish I lived here because I would come every day!

Great service at this location! Unfortunately, I ordered a disgusting drink called Honey Almondmilk Flat White, which I would not recommend. It was terrible. But that was my choice and has nothing to do with the store. I just don't recommend that drink, because I've been to this store several times and I always enjoy the service and drinks.
What a fantastic coffee shop! Located upstairs above the crumpet shop. I love coming here and enjoying an amazing house made cinnamon roll and a cortado or latte. This really is one of the better coffee shops in Seattle. The consistency of the coffee is one large part of that reason, but another reason Storyville Coffee is worth stopping at is their remarkable customer service. everyone was helpful kind and courteous. The coffee shop is clean and cozy. There’s even a great fireplace to sit next to or you can look out the window towards Puget Sound.
An absolute gem! Such cute decor and amazingly happy and polite staff. The free gifts are a great touch too!
Delicious chocolate cake, good coffee, and amazing cinnamon rolls. The texture of the cake and cinnamon rolls are on point!
The croissant is flaky and crispy. The chocolate cake is so moist and great flavor not being too sweet, but showing off the dark chocolate.
I got a free mug as well.

I hate rating low on places but I can't help it with this one.
The girl at the register was super sweet. But the lady making coffee. Wow. You can tell she has had better days. She is so completely rude and cold. And my $8 white chocolate mocha was a $8 black coffee with some foam on the top. I could not believe it. She made the worst coffee had the worst attitude. Never again.

Nice stop! Coffee was great as always.
Great shop with baristas who know what they're doing. Wonderful fresh and new coffee. 3rd wave coffee at its finest. Honestly it's pretty inexpensive for the high quality you get. Most other shops will be 20-30% more expensive for a cup. 10/10 would recommend. I've already sent some friends here

If you want the most consistently good and tasty coffee and teas you should go here. The staff are actually knowledgeable and seem enthusiastic about coffee and are quite friendly. Definitely worth the money

It was de-lish, they made my semi complicated drink perfectly MMMMM!.
This is such an amazing place. Lattes that are at the correct temperature, great roast selection, and such great baristas. A must stop if you love good coffee.
I had walked by this sign a million times, but today, I needed to kill some time until a shop opened in Pike Place. So I followed the signs, up the flights of steps, to a wonderful surprise. They say that you can visit Pike Place once a month for a year and never see everything. I never knew this place was here. At the end of the hallway was this charming, personable coffeehouse that reminded me of how important it is to support independent places like this. The space was filled with leather seats and couches. A fireplace helped add a homey feel to it. The service was a bit slow to make, but that is because they bring your orders to you. They pick up your dishes and serve water, which is a nice touch. The view is part the main street of the market and a little bit of Elliott Bay. It's too bad they don't serve booze. All in all, if you're in the market, this is a VERY nice alternative to Starbucks.
The quintessential neighborhood coffee shop. The coffee is good, the people are great, and even when the line gets long to order, once you've ordered the service is uncannily fast.
"First time at Light House Roasters coffee shop in Seattle, and I'm hooked! ☕✨ An absolute must-visit for anyone in town. The perfect blend of charm, intimacy, and exceptional service. Highly recommend! #SeattleCoffeeDiscovery #HiddenGems"
Chris is the best, thank you for the extra cup of coffee ☕️!

How many words am I supposed to use to describe how bad Starbucks is? Soulless, burnt, processed. Your choice is either overpriced, over-sweet drinks, or burnt bean water. I make better coffee in a hotel room.

We came here for the first time. We were craving for high quality coffee in the neighborhood. We found this coffee shop had 4.8 stars. We went for it! Excellent choice!!!

We came here at the end of the day. It was not as busy as the day time. We ordered an iced latte. Yum!! The latte or coffee flavour tasted very smooth and filled with texture and richness even though it had milk in it. I personally loved it so much.

We sat inside and enjoyed the coffee. We saw the coffee shop here also roasts their coffee beans. We saw those coffee ma Chinese, equipment and accessories. It is great that the business owner can both sell coffee beverages and roast their own coffee beans.

I would highly recommend this coffee shop even though the name is not as big as Starbucks or other popular ones. The business owner puts effort to make and sell coffee/coffees to the coffee customers.

Pros: staff is friendly and nice

Cons: In QFC, No tables /seating, can't use app to pay, limited menu
Excellent study spot, great latte, love the outdoor seating and black exterior. Can easily walk to other interesting places nearby. Seems to attract a fit and/or medical crowd.

Grab and go coffeeshop that is part of Kaiser Permanente building. Might want to avoid during peak work times.

There are two entrances ( one off 15th and one from inside the building). Mentioning this as the place is small ( 4 people in line is crowded) so you might have to walk through people to find the end of the line. Also if you have a stroller, you literally might not fit.

No indoor seating unless you count the Kaiser seating area which does have wifi. There are like 3 small tables outside the coffeeshop ( no heating lamps). Definitely not a place to work.

The bacon croissant sandwich is pretty good. they use higher quality bacon. A lot of places use the Oscar meyer microwave ones. Overall fair pricing and food comes out fast. The workers are pleasant.

Me & my bf went to QFC to grabbed a sandwich from the Deli section and used our Starbucks coupon to get a drinks. We ordered 3 Drinks and 2 Iced Lemon Loaf & asked the Cashier if we can used the coupon for 2 drinks & he asked the other Asian Lady there & she was so rude to us, her voice & her expressions was like “NO, we don’t accept that anymore, we stop using that” and we totally understand but when we asked the cashier if they can warm it up the loaf since every Starbucks we go they warm it up and again he asked the Asian lady and she was starting to be RUDE again lol She was just so funny coz she could have been explaining to us properly but Instead she looks like about to cry 😅 But anyways, BAD SERVICE, NO WORK ETHICS and the employees needs more training. We will never go there again!

The bartista's at QFC Starbucks make great coffee & are very friendly!!! The only slight issue is in making a mobile order, they have a tendency to call out randomly towards the end of the week (occasionally, not always) which means you've paid for a mobile order that you can't pick up because no ones there to make it. Otherwise LOVE THEM!
First time in here and I loved the cold brew. But really the barista is the win; she’s super friendly and brings an amazing vibe to this spot, which is shared with the racing bike store. But it’s light and airy in here and the house white mocha is delightful.

The lattes here are so good! They make their syrups in house, and the maple bourbon one is, by far, my favorite. You have to try it! Also, the baristas here are too cute and very friendly; they make you feel appreciated and loved! The coffee shop is in a convenient location so it’s a great place to stop by to get your coffee fix. Go go go!
Amazing hot chocolate and very friendly baristas!! 100% recommend. Love the ambience too!

I told the barista what I would like, and she stared at me dumbfounded for a few seconds (a simple drink off the menu, nothing custom). She then proceeded to take a personal phone call in front of me throughout the rest of the interaction.

Been their once and she tried telling me she was closed. She had just walked in from a break. Almost an hour before closing. I told her she had better make my drink. And she huffed and did it. I got the feeling she was very lazy and didnt want to work onviously. The workers inside safeway are pretty rude themselves.

Never knew this coffee place existed. Got the special coffees which was the nutcracker and pumpkin spice. They had a kick of flavor but wish the coffee taste was stronger. Friendly staff and convienent location.
I cannot say greater things about this coffee shop. It is in a shared space with a bicycle store and has enough seating that it's not too crowded or too empty. Their espresso drinks are phenomenal and the service was quick and friendly. I will be coming back soon!
They have a great iced tea and our server was pretty outgoing and happy to let us know where things in the cafe come from. I bought a panini hot off the press and it was also delicious.

in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill There is a special place with a unique combination located against a bicycle shop we find this very peculiar cafeteria, With traditional coffee drinks a good variety of snacks to enjoy at lunch time or a perfect casual afternoon to work on a school project or in a work meeting, this cafeteria offers us a simple menu but just what is necessary to not complicate ourselves, we also have beers and an incredible terrace to enjoy the mid-afternoon sun, the space is quite large, you feel an atmosphere of cleanliness tranquility and above all very good vibes the staff Super friendly at all times they are attentive to what you need and I think it is a great option if you just want to enjoy something quick to eat and a drink do not miss it usually in season summer they put the Tour de France on the screens and it is something different to see and enjoy. 🚲🚲🚲
TLDR: Above and beyond service, friendly vibes, and great coffee!

Walked in on a quest for beans and some bean juice to get the day started. Was greeted with smiles and friendly welcomes, which is often hard to find in this dark and cruel world. My partner and I ordered a vanilla almond milk latte and an americano. Both drinks were very good. Latte was well balanced and delicious. The americano was smooth and also expertly extracted to give a full flavor profile party across my palate. I picked up a bag of their espresso blend beans and was pleasantly suprised to see how recent their roast date was (I commonly find old beans being sold on the shelves of other stores and it saddens me). The owner then accurately concluded that it would be in my best interest to wait a few days before actually using those beans to allow them to offgas. As I was coming to terms with having to wait to taste these tantalizing beans, the owner unprompted offered to send me on my way with some ready to use beans on the house. This really made my day and they have earned my respect and business for as long as I live in Seattle.

The worst service I ever had. Rude, not welcoming, they don’t care about you, they chat loudly all the time between them. You need to wait to give an order till their conversation about their personal life to be end.

Went in after some shopping to get a drink with my husband. Looks nice on the outside, tables are open and looks generally clean. However, waited for 10 minutes only for a random grocery worker to come in who obviously does not work primarily in sbux. She apologized for the wait and explained the guy in sbux was on his lunch (why not close it for 30 mins then?). She took the gentleman's order ahead of us and then it was our turn. I asked her if she had toasted white mocha, she said she didn't know, ok no big deal always gotta have a backup right. I asked her if she had matcha and she said I think so and then told her I wanted a frap and she said I don't wanna mess up your drink. I used to work at a sbux so I offered to tell her how to make it and she declined. Then she started flipping through the recipe cards. During this, a man was praying loudly in the corner while a woman behind us in line started talking to herself and moving her hands about. It was an out of body experience. After about a minute of her sifting through the cards we left. Not to mention the case was full of fruit flies.

VERY RUDE and disrespectful workers. Stood in line for 15 minutes (I didn’t have a mask & was hoping the store or Starbucks could give me one) they didn’t have any to lend out witch is fine, but the Starbucks lady was VERY rude to me about it for absolutely NO reason. I will never be coming back to this Starbucks. Rude people should not be working in customer service period.
Lovely cafe with great baked goods and the best lattes! Jonathan the owner singlehandedly kept me caffeinated and topped up on cookies through the end of my clinical rotations at KP. I wish I worked closer so this could still be my daily coffee spot! Sam the barista made my son a cutest hot chocolate cat today to which my son said, “This cat made it worth it to get out of bed today,” which is the highest of praise from a tweenager.

Update: just visited the second location on Union that’s open on weekends and it’s so nice. Lots of good food selection and a sweet outdoor patio. My son said the chocolate orange loaf was wonderful. My mocha was, as always, made to perfection.
Overcast bar is a cute coffee shop within a cycling store. The customer service was excellent. They have indoor and outdoor space for the customers. We enjoyed coffee and some wine. Both were excellent! They also offer some delicious morning treats. It is off the main road so it is not drown out by city noise. It is a wonderful spot to hang with friends or grab a quick coffee.

very unpleasant experience. I went there 7:50 (10 min before closing) and they refused me saying it is closed. They said they closed at 7:45 but if so why its working hours say it is until 8pm? There were some guys who look to be his friends. Is it okay to close early to hang out with friends?

We stopped here for breakfast before my appointment at the VA hospital. We both have always had great service and food from all Starbucks until today 7/27/2020. Hubby got the Impossible Sausage Sandwich, I got the regular one and a large hazelnut iced mocha. 🤮🤢 We ate outside. The sandwiches were so greasy that they dripped on our pants and badly toasted. The iced mocha had no taste at all! I’m going to contact Starbucks also.

The staff are not trained well. They don’t know how to make half of the drinks they sell and when you try to tell them how most of them give you attitude. Some of the staff is really nice, but still not up to starbucks standards.
