The chicken is fresh and Soooo Good. We also shared the Mac and Cheese, which we enjoyed. It wasn't salty. We spent about $28 each, including a drink
First time trying this place, it smelled like raw meat when I walked in. I still ordered because I thought the smell would pass, but it just got worse. My water glass had lipstick marks all over it. The staff didn’t seem very bothered by this when I notified them. By the time the food arrived, I had the overwhelming feeling of wanting to vomit and didn’t even have the heart to eat it. Whoever is managing this place is neglecting it. Never again. I wouldn’t return here if you paid me.
We came here for every TACO TUESDAY, delicious food and nice service, cheers!!!

Nice space, rare exception to cramped NYC hangouts. Unfortunately most beers are super fruity this or that thing. Restaurant in house was the same kind of thing when I was here; some fruity twist on every single thing, "bacon jam" on lamburger (not hamburger) for instance.
had a great time here with riva and jane. we regret not getting the bucket of coronas. next time!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We recently had a misunderstanding with the Taco Tuesday. That is, the fine print was not disclosed to us. It was not visible in its advertisement.

Management took the time to understand the issues and our disenchantment. I found this care very nice. We come to this restaurant at least once a week. This care and customer service exceeded our expectations.

The food is great. The staff very kind and welcoming.

We had an amazing time! We live in the area and we come here as often as we can! Giselle was really helpful in getting our reservation ready for my girlfriend’s birthday and even remembered me when we came in and made sure we had the booth we reserved! :) And our server, Natalie was the absolute best and helped elevate our already amazing experience! And compliments to the chef on the amazing food! Those Thanksgiving egg rolls were out of this world! Thank you so much, Sweet Afton for making my girlfriend’s birthday a night to remember!🙏🏼

I went on a solo Valentine's Day date around 6pm at the Sweet Afton and had a great time. The bar was well-lit and the music wasn't too loud where I couldn't hear myself think, which is usually the case when I'm there later in the night. The service was good and the waitress checked in on me a few times in the hour and a half that I was there.

Wanting to try something new, I ordered the Bloody Mary chips alongside my dirty pickle martini. I didn't think this through and ended up with too many "pickle like" flavors and regretted my order. The chips were fine, but I would recommend the popcorn chicken. Someone next to me ordered the Mac and cheese and was raving about it.

The martini was well made; the flavors strong but not overpowering. I could barely taste the alcohol in it. For my second drink I asked for something sweet and was given their version of a French 75. This drink was very good and I loved the fizz in it. It was sweet but not overpowering. I'm not sure it's on their menu, so I would ask for it at the bar.

By now you've probably realized I'm 2 drinks in and have only had chips to eat. Unfortunately, I did not make better choices the rest of the night, but I am not hungover today so the Universe must have taken pity on my singleness.

In conclusion: Go earlier. Get the chicken or the Mac and cheese. Get a few drinks. Bring a responsible friend.
I've done delivery and dine in at La Tiendita; both times have been fantastic! The food is delicious and fresh, drinks were strong, and the servers are friendly.

Great local spot. If you are dining in, nearly all tables are high top. If you have difficulty with high top seating or bar seating, consider going for take out!

Walk through the swinging doors and you’re transported to a German lodge. Had the goulash, jägerschnitzel, and the beer flight. A ton of food for us (2 people). Didn’t have room for the stammtisch coffe which means we have to come back. Good price, nice vibe.

This place is awesome. Had the jagersnitzel, and it was amazing. Best I've had. I def recommend. The pretzels are huge. The dumplings were great. The beer is tasty.
The food and service was excellent. Plus the Mexican themed atmosphere looked amazing. Im definitely coming back. The Flan cheese cake is a must try. I also recommend their steak nachos and the Sugarcane Colada.
Staff is friendly but yesterday it took an hour for our pupusas to come out. They also allow hookers to sit and solicit at the bar, yesterday a girl offered her “services” to my uncle for $200. It’s a bad look. I used to live in the area and this place used to be so good idk what happened.

What can I say that hasn't been said before? Obviously the food and service was great. Of course the place looks fantastic. But what I really liked was that my wife enjoyed herself. She was very happy to have a lunch date in an old school restaurant. P.S. The beer is killer!!!

The food was decent. I got their collab meal and it was a lot of food. The chicken was good and it was crunchy. The only issue I had was that they gave very little fries and their sauces did not have much flavor. The staff were very nice and the environment was pleasant to be in.

Friendly service, strong and delicious drinks. Highly recommend the Cauliflower Tacos - the taste is amazing. It can get crowded, but the place is big, so finding a spot has been usually easy.
Honestly, some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Same goes for a cocktail anywhere in Queens. Came here on Thanksgiving with my wife her sister, her brother and her brother in law and it was honestly fantastic. Service amazing. Well done.

One of my favorite bars in the area!

Stopped in for dinner: Bloody Mary hand cut chips and fried chicken sandwich on Pullman toast with a Dublin Old Fashion to drink.

Cocktail wasn’t my favorite (bad choice on my part, I’ve had other great cocktails from here before) but the sandwich was incredible! Service was nice and timely. Recommended.

Been eating her on-and-off for at least 10 years. The food is always seasoned well and tastes good but sometimes it's served cold or dried out. Even during lunch hours. Service has always been friendly so one could simply let them know that the food is cold. Parking can be challenging but not impossible.

I came here Dec 2nd for the Star Rail Collab. It was a terrible event. I came half an hour early but still had to stand outside for 5 hours. For some reason management only had 300 available stands but allowed 800 people to reserve a spot that they didn't even bother checking. This made a LOT of people not get what they wanted even though we specifically came to this one Pelicana spot because they offered the stands here.

They're restocking a few supplies everyday for the rest of December but they really couldn't have told us that earlier or even open the business earlier because of how crazy the line was? It would have made the lines so much more efficient.

I also forgot to do the Instagram thing to get the badge but that's more on me than anything else. But I really would've appreciated if one of the employees would've said anything.

I don't even remember what the food tasted like, I was literally too depressed.
My husband and I came here for a way overdue date night. We ordered the goulash, large pretzel, Jaegerschnitzel, the chicken version of the Jaegerschnitzel and the apple strudel. Oh my goodness. It was delicious, stick to your rib, warm up your tummy comfort food. The hostess and servers were so kind. My husband and I have not experienced service like that in years. The crowd was a very lively crowd. We really liked the atmosphere. Kudos to the whole establishment especially the chef and the kitchen staff that prepared the food with LOVE.

After tasting two beers that I did not like, they told me I only get two tastes. Sorry, but they have a bunch of unknown beers, I am not risking getting a beer I can’t enjoy.
Waste of a trip… never again!!

Update after their first response:
Most ‘small business’ breweries and for that matter ‘small’ microbrew venues do not put a cap on tastes.
Furthermore, your proposed solution is exactly what I am complaining about, I could buy your flight and find I don’t enjoy the beers, thus buying something that I don’t enjoy - that’s not what a visit to a brewery or microbrew venue is supposed to be about. I don’t like what I tried and thanks to your policy that’s all I’ll know about your beer.

I could name drop several ‘small’ breweries a reasonable distance from your establishment that are more than happy to give as many tastes as necessary for their customers to find the right beer. But, instead I’ll just point this out, your unwillingness to give a reasonable number tastes lost you my business yesterday and going forward. Plus, when I brewery hop with friends I’ll recommend those breweries instead of yours. In reality you don’t want someone like me at your establishment, you’re likely better off with someone who doesn’t know a good beer if it hit them in the face - your wit beer is nowhere near actual Belgian taste, and you amber was horrible. I’ll stick with Hoegaarden and just about any decent off the shelf amber (Alaskan Amber, Fat Tire, etc)

I love this place for brunch! The music is always on point and the food is reasonably priced. Try the unlimited strawberry frozé, I get it every time because it's so good. Excellent value for money and good service
It’s hard to scale a restaurant chain and maintain the quality. This is evident in my recent experience at Tacombi. I’ve been coming to these restaurants for many years. Every time I come to New York and have enjoyed seeing new locations popping up all the time. However, this is the first time I noticed that flavours authenticity I had come to love just ain’t what it used to be. Still a fun spot but I’d say it’s 75% of what it was and for me that’s enough to never come back, or at least search for other options when feeling in the mood for Mexican.

Pio Pio never disappoints... always the best service, warm welcome, amazingly delicious meals, great flavors, choices for everyone, customize your meal the way you love it. And enough portions to bring some home. Though pricing is higher everywhere you go these days, you still get a ton of value with the portions here. They make everything so well, especially that salsa verde, the maduros, and the surgical way they slice those avocados 🥑 😋

Super clean, great vibe, clean bathrooms downstairs, wonderful Latin music vibes piped throughout. 🕺🏾💃🏼

The food was delicious, and the server was super nice! Great atmosphere.

I definitely recommend dining in instead of ordering takeout. The fried chicken was crispy with a moist interior. The truffle fries had a unique and new taste. Our server at the time was very accommodating.

While the wait time for the chicken is a bit long and the sauces you had to pay for, it's well worth it!

Long story short...1st time visiting the brewery. Went to the bar and asked for a sample, and was told to go take a seat at a table. The waitress comes over, and we ask for a tasting before ordering a pint. She tells us she can't give us any samples because it's starting to get a little crowded. We asked if we went to the bar, Can we get a sample she said yes. Back to the bar we go. The beertender asked us why we were back at the bar, and we let him know what happened. He shook his head, mumbled something, and proceeded to give us a few samples to try. Personally, I was not a fan of the beers. But everyone has their own tastes in beer.

We were there on Saturday.

I got a Korean ramen but it thought they served in a bowl 🍲 this was not the case here at pelicanos 😣😖. They rushed us. Two black ladies walked in to dine in and they waiters completely ignored them this beautiful ladies were Standing at the entrance for more than 10 minutes and nobody bother to welcome them. I feel so bad. No person should be treated this way. We all customers and we all deserve respect. But obviously if you are not Asian or white you are not welcome

I went there recently to get 2 chicken empanadas and i wait for 10 minutes for them and once im about to pay, the employee says that the limit for apple pay was 7 dollars… you couldn’t have told me that before you made my order?? Anyways the 2 empanadas were 4.76… since i only had apple pay i had to get more things to raise the total to 7 dollars, i see a slide of flan so i ask for the price and she said 4 dollars.. for 1 slice? That’s insane, in every other domi restaurant a flan is no more than 2 dollars and the slice was so small!! Now for the taste… the empanadas barely had any chicken and one still had 2 bones in it?? And the flan wasn’t good at all… as a dominican this was NOT good food. The syrup for the flan literally tasted like brown sugar with water. Definitely not coming again… but if you’re interested in getting some dominican food theres another restaurant called el viejo yayo near- bye and the food is really good there!

This is the most authentic german restaurant that i have been to. If you can, get the roast duck because its amazing! You can taste the love that went into cooking the food. I have been coming here for years and the quality is still the same. Comfort food at its best
Stopped in for takeout lunch today, first time here. There's 11 tables, 7 bar seats, overall seating for 40 with 8 beers on tap. Got a 10 piece wing, came to $17.37. A smidge on the expensive side in my opinion. It was bagged and ready in just 8 minutes. Both the soy garlic and bourbon sauces were awesome, chicken was juicy and had a nice crisp fried batter. It was served with a side of some pickled vegetable, the pickle was weak and the veggie somewhat hard, unnecessary.
Bro, you gotta try this restaurant, their Quesadillas are fantastic it's melting to your mouth and their tacos (It's not on the picture) we ate it right away! Lol That's how good it is. We had so much fun with my friends here! The food is great service was awesome!
Great experience. Will def go back!

This place is absolutely lovely! I felt like i was in a traditional German home.

I was greeted and seated right away. I love the small wooden chairs, the interior was so beautiful and the wait staff was dressed in traditional German attire.

The bread was so good with butter, hands down the best bread I have tasted thus far!!!!

The goulash soup was really good!

There was a very wide range of beers on the drink menu,
I was a bit hesitant to visit because of other reviews about not feeling welcome!

I felt like family at the end of my dinner!
It was truly an amazing experience for me, will definitely visit again.
Did I mention how great the bread was? Lol…..
This is the best place to eat and party in Queeens! Friendly servers, great music, and lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time there… also, the food and drinks? Believe me, soooo yummyyyy 🔥🔥🔥 would definitely go back here 🤙

Got hungry super late so I decided to order food. I usually try not to order food from outside as the food quality isn’t always the best when delivered. However, I wasn’t disappointed!!! Always great service when I go here! Decent brunch menu. I get the green eggs & ham when I go. Eggs are supper fluffy. I wish they had brunch specials just to have a few different options but not a big deal. Very cozy environment as well.
What can I say... I really wanted to like this place. The food - I ordered the Beef Birria Tacos 🌮 and one AL Pastor. Both tacos lacked flavor and had little to no salt. Two different types of tacos, and they both tasted the same, "Bland". The best thing this restaurant had going was the hot sauces on the table. 😋 I could drink that as a main course. The beer was nice and cold, and the ambiance was good. I read the label on the hot sauce and realized that this a chain restaurant. 😥 I would not give it a second chance.

I hadn't had korean fried chicken in a while and this was truly a treat! The serving was large and came fresh and hot. They were so crunchy! The chicken was very flavorful. I also order onion rings which I usually hate and again, it was so crispy and flavored. The wait was a little long but I was not disappointed. I also order Bugoli and that was just okay. It was much sweeter than the bulgogi's I have come to expect. This place is worth visiting. Take friends and family.
Food deliveries are always late. If you order off an app expect to wait over an hour even if you live two blocks away. Every time I order from here same issue. Their staff doesn’t know how to update Grubhub, ubereats etc to reflect an actual real time estimate on food deliveries. Make sure if you order from here you order 2hrs in advance so you get your food at a decent time.

Don't sleep on the Sweet Afton brunch!! Our waiter was delightful and the food was delicious. We started with the breakfast nachos and then I got the egg Philly melt. Wow! We will definitely be back.
10/10! Had a fantastic night here. Everything starting from the food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere was super enjoyable! Recommend the avocado tostada and of course the birria! I’ll be thinking of this experience for a while… thank you!
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Astoria. Classic Margaritas are amazing and always start off with some chips and guac.
Portion sizes are just the right amount, and having the choice of getting two or three tacos is great for those who can’t eat all three — and don’t like to waste food.
Great vibe/ aesthetic and really nice staff. Highly recommended.

I ordered a delivery of garlic parmesan flavored chicken wings, and they were extremely crispy and flavorful. In addition the wings were very meaty so I ended up having some leftovers.

The order also arrived in less than 30 minutes which was a plus.

Next time I'll try their soy garlic which appears to be the most popular flavor. 🍗
The food was delicious and the environment perfect. To be with friends and have a beers

Chill spot, lots of seating, indoor/outdoor options, live music, arcade games and decent beer…what more could you want. Great option for dates, groups, families, etc. No food but you can order delivery.
Food is amazing. That being said:
Not family friendly, unless you consider being around mostly drunks, friendly.
Atmosphere: loud music, mostly men, mostly beer drinking, the waitresses are a little too comfortable with the customers.

Great taco spot with great flavors and options. The horchata and quesadillas are a bit overpriced, but everything else is reasonable. The salsa has no spice to it at all. The food was filling and the decor here is lively and fun.

I’m new in the area and was told that Pio Pio was a bit pricey, however the food was great. So I tried the steak with French fries, rice and beans and an avocado salad 🥗 the total was approx $54.00 🤦🏻‍♀️ the beans were an extra charge and the salad was $11.00, I honestly didn’t think the price was bad because my expectations were high.

Needless to say I was so disappointed I wanted to throw the food away, however, I paid way to much and was way to hungry lol.

For one, they put the rice, French fries and steak in the same plate. The portion of steak was unbelievably small and the French fries were soaked in gravy so they were super soggy. For the price I was expecting everything packed separately. I will never eat here again 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks but no thanks! The steak and rice didn’t taste bad, but it couldn’t enjoy it due to the messy presentation.

Count your days Pio Pio 😡

If you want:
1. Very Small Portions
2. Over priced food
3. Messy/Soggy food

Eat here ☺️
Great service and food. Happy hour bites were well sized and priced. Wonderful staff as well.
I’ve never had Korean food . Decided to give it a try , they sent spoiled guacamole . The chicken was fried in some rancid oil . It stink so bad . This is the reason people end up in hospitals . You can tell it was prepared in an unsanitary way. Disgusting people
I went here for lunch and the staff was very friendly from the get go. My waiter Roriana was very sweet and attentive. My food was cooked to perfection and I got my tacos in a timely fashion. This location is real cozy, and there's outside seating with heated lamps to keep you warm if that's your preference. Highly recommend! Will be back again!
Great bar in the neck of Ridgewood and Bushwick. Great food, people and drinks.
Neverrrr again. I ordered the family meal last night the entire order of rice was hard and stale. The chicharron was so stale it was literally gray. It was like they sent me food from a week ago. I’ll never order again 🥴 the only decent thing was the beans and even that was just OK.
The food was super tasty and a good Korean Hybrid. It was also super filling, the portions aren’t skimpy at all. It was more affordable than expected especially post pandemic. A Hidden Gem in a Mecca of Cultural Food Spots. I will definitely returning with friends/family and brining some dates here too ; ).

Started ordering mainly mangu here a few months back. At first, it was decent but then the quality quickly started going down.

First, the salami is awful. Cut super thick and has that fake salami taste. The mangu has always been on the drier side and not smashed very well.

Ordered Mangu today with no salami. When I paid for it I noticed they were still charging me the full price despite me not getting salami. I asked the woman about it and she said they added extra cheese in place of it. But I was never given the extra cheese, the mangu I had today was so dry I had to throw it out. So they get 1 star for lying and their gross food. Photo of the dry mangu attached.

Stopped by this nicely decorated restaurant with my dad and daughter for a quick lunch and it was a great decision. We ordered a pork borrito (2), pork taco (2) and a salad bowl and nachos came with guacamole. Everything was edible and tasty. Down to the bowl the salad was put in. Had a drink that was delicious as well. The alcohol content was perfect and not watered down. Would refer this Mexican spot to anyone looking for a quick bite that’s tasty. The waiter was also friendly.
Solid options for lunch that are not overly priced. It is a chain but the food is pretty good if you stick with the basics. Their Al Pastor was great and you can tell it’s fresh. The food came out fairly quickly and the wait staff was nice. Definitely stop by if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat - they have many options to choose from!
My first time here but the teriyaki bowl list legit, a little hot, but I like that. Nice place and the other food I've seen looks good. And they have Heineken, and that makes me happy.

Revised. Met the owner. Cool guy. This place is great. Great to watch a game. Or just hang. Check it out.

I absolutely love this wide open taproom! There are
*19 different Alewife drafts (incl flights),
*usually 1 hard cider + 1 hard seltzer
*usually 3 or 4 draft cocktails
*usually 2 or 3 wine options,
*a full cocktail + spirits menu
*great selection of 4 packs + bottles to-go,

*Monday-Thursday happy hour specials
*3 jumbo projection screens for live TV/sports/movies/NintendoSwitch,
*a bunch of arcade games (pinball, Ms.Pacman, Ninja Turtles, Capcom vs Marvel, basketball, BuckHunter),
*a mug club with fun perks/swag/discounts
*Monday open mic + all night happy hour
*Tuesday night NYC Trivia League,
*Wednesday night Teacher Appreciation & bottle share,
*Thursday night Bingo with cash prize
*some of NYC's best food vendors (Fri-Sun year-round plus a few added nights during summers).

There's a high ceiling inside with giant fans as well as a ton of outdoor seating! It's kid friendly during the afternoon/early evening and dog friendly 24/7 (they even have Alewife branded dog biscuits made with pumpkin, PB, and spent beer grains)! Some of the friendliest and most diverse staff you'll find in NYC!

Check their website (www.alewife.beer) for all of their fun events. Better yet, sign up for their newsletter for weekly updates

While they gave me a "Thousand Stars" (German style pilsner) I can only give them a maximum of 5 stars. There are so many good beers like Death to Ego (Hazy IPA) available.

While they currently do not fill crowlers & growlers they do offer 4-pack cans.
One of the best Mexican spots in Ridgewood! Their menu is constantly growing and changing! Delicious food and tasty drinks 😍 you need to check it out! IG- newyorkcitymunchies for more 📸

The sign outside may say La Adelita is a Bar & Restaurant but it is also a Panaderia! They have many types of fresh pan (bread) so leave some room for dessert or grab a pan for breakfast. Next time you’re in Woodside give their bakery a try.
I love the tamales. This time I decided to try the chilaquiles. Delicious as usual! Service was excellent. Homey environment.
Friendly staff greet you with a warm welcome and makes you feel at home. Great atmosphere to hang out and catch up with some friends over a meal and drinks.
Food was great with generous portion sizes. A simple and satisfying take on classic Ecuadorian food definitely worth a try.
Food was delicious and its family owned, the wait staff is really friendly and attentive. I’m planning on bringing a few dates back here because it’s a great spot to check out before the movies or after ;)
This place is great! New location is really nice because now it’s a dope spot to visit for food AND drinks. 10/10
Very flavorful, large portions, and fun atmosphere. Their patio is large and pretty nice, as long as weather permits. We had the chicken burrito and steak enchiladas (with green sauce). Both were really tasty and filling, even brought a little bit home. Will definitely return to try more of the menu and probably hit up the Happy Hour, Min - Thurs 4-8pm
