One of biggest shopping mall in cape town.
I like the food court area,
Outside of shopping mall is very beautiful.
Amazing neat and peaceful place
I always come here for some awesome shots
Went to have breakfast at Yumnicious. Lovely restaurant love coming to eat here. Had the flapjacks was divine, craving sorted.
Canal Walk is a great place for shopping, watching movies, having coffee or going for an indoor stroll while it’s raining outside. There are plenty of restaurants to try, something for everyone.
Decent Spar supermarket. Can no longer find parking for my motorcycle as all the designated motorcycle parking bays are now always full if delivery bike riders bikes
Not my favorite mall by a long shot, but what makes matters worse, is my child wanted to go to the toilet urgently, and they are charging customers to use their toilets. I pay everything electronically, I don’t carry coins, needless to say I had to drive home and my son nearly pooped in his pants
What a lovely little open air center, with many surprises and a brand new coffeehouse /restaurant!
Tourist Perspective: It is a lovely open space center. not a shopping mall to expect to do good shopping. But it has the basics and several good shops to look through and have a glimpse. But nothing special about it.

Beautiful shopping centre with some great shops and fantastic places to eat. The scenery in this area is stunning, there are new art galleries and upmarket designer shopping. Spent a good few hours here and felt very safe as there are lots of security walking around.
Lovely, open, scenic shopping center.
Has all you need from clothing, accessories, restaurants, gym 🏋️‍♀️, coffee☕️shops, cosmetics, and many more. Secure underground or outside parking available.

Great place !! Safe secure and fun for kids ...all you need you can get there
Canal Walk has such a lovely outdoor area that one can sit and relax. If you are adventurous kindly note that you can make a booking to kayak by the canal and just take in the amazing view. I love the fact that there’s so many trees all over for nature admirers and a pathway to take a stroll whilst watching the birds and the water.

Good shop and the prices are acceptable. The fruit and vegetables are often very near their expiery date.
Convenience at its best. All the necessary shops that you would expect in a small mall.

Apart from the standard spar, woolies and hairdressers, they have a great tobacconist, heslth shop, print shop and a few lovely eateries; Moksh, Simply Asia, Mugg & Bean and an Ocean Basket.

Parking is safe and they have employed many parking attendants.
To whom it may concern,

I would like to bring to your attention that the security at Paddocks Center is making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, twice the same security ( dont know his name, but I definitely know his face) made me and my husband feel like criminals.

About 2 months ago I wanted to use the ATM downstairs, and this security was standing so close to me, I asked him to move as he is making me feel uncomfortable, then he said he won't because he is doing his job. I just cancelled the transaction and left, went to another store and left the center, and I never worried about the issue again, But Friday 11 August 2023, the same security did it again.

As I came out of Clicks, I saw him standing there by the coffee shop next to Clicks, and I walk over to the Store right opposite the coffee shop to collect something as I know the lady working there, my husband was browsing the store and I then stood at the door and that is when i saw him standing there watching us, I asked him what is wrong as he was just looking and again he said his doing his job and just looking, at this point the lady in the shop also asked but why, then he said he is looking at the clothes then I said if you doing your job why you looking at the clothes.......

I really don't appreciate being harrassed by the security,,,, he still had such an evil smile on his face, I work in the area and do a lot of shopping at the centre, but after the ordeal I experienced I won't sit my foot there anymore.

I understand he is doing his work but it's not like we were the only people in the store or center.....
I use to like this shopping centre. It does have nice shops and restaurants. BUT, and this is a big BUT, the restrooms are in a terrible state. Centre management wants you to pay R2 to use the restrooms that is on the same standard as a petrol station on the side of the road. This is a disgrace to centre management! Don't charge people a fee then, if you are going to present toilets like these. The flushing units does not work, it is non existing, it is dirty and the seats are loose. This is a disgrace centre management to find toilets in a state like this when you have to pay at the door! What are you using the money for? Definately NOT for the upkeep of the restrooms.

Feels like lve stepped out of South Africa and traveled to some other country. Love how the mall looks and the views around it. Great place to go shopping or grab bite from. Don't miss this spot when you visit Cape Town. A site worth seeing indeed.

We eventually found a well-known and well established mall in the Western Cape after we went hunting for a great mall with good anchor shops.
A massive Woolworths with literally the same layout as it's counter parts in Sandton.
Most of all the shops are bigger and better equipped than the Mall's in Stellenbosch so i would give this a woping 10/10

Beautiful, huge mall but surprisingly there's no fine dining restaurants, just cafes and your normal take away franchises
Lush and clean. I got a quick bite from Spar Food and it was most divine I went back for more. The store is clean and so it the rest of the place village.

The Storage Facility at this centre is fantastic, very clean and professionally managed. Highly recommend.
For a great experience on foot, you can't beat the V&A. From sharks to penguins - even seals. Not to mention the live entertainment and abundance of food choices makes this place a no-brainer for locals and anyone visiting - for good night out 😎

Great experience with nice clothes, food and the stores at large, everything is just professional. I frequently visit this place, it gives peace of mind, no noise just a peaceful place with beautiful sea view. Stuff, workers they just wonderful. Everytime I come here I know I will have nice time with 😊 people were just friendly, meeting people from different parts of the Western Cape, even the tourists from different parts of the World😊💎❤. This place is one of the best Malls across the world.
Nice place with numerous activities to do and they have kids playground and a lot more that I haven’t explored.

The Bernina store is great - they have free sewing lessons if you take your machine into their store. Every alternative weekend, they have a group that gets together to sew together - so amazing this does cost & I believe you have to take your own fabric based on the item being made that week.
Best shopping in Capetown. Everything you need and more under one roof. Shopping. 2 supermarkets, great fast food and icecream, great coffee options, great pastry shops, great sit down dining.... and the movie theatre.

Stop and take some pics on the bridges out back. Beautiful.
A large facility with a plethora of shops from clothing to housewares to electronics and grocery. Plenty of restaurants can be found around the shopping area. Security is plentiful. This is a great place to walk around alone or with a family.

Very upmarket shopping venue. The usual suspect stores are all here plus the high end luxury stores which are not so easy to find. Reasonable selection of restaurants and the more market like stalls are also present outside. Loads of boat and helicopter tour stands along the actual dockside. Must visit venue when coming to Cape Town. Fantastic views of table mountain in the background.
Basic centre, very impressed with the Moroccan barber, very friendly, affordable, and excellent cut.

Lots of stores. Clothing, cinema, restaurants, fast food, markets ect. Staff are friendly and welcoming 😃
This is a Burb centric mall with the main focal point being the Grocery stores, for those homerun or housewife quick picks. I would recommend the Woolworths Food, because their stock appears fresh even if they are pricier. I had a bad egg experience from the Spar. There is a great Mug and Bean. Their coffee and cheese cake were delicious and service was great. In passing I saw a pep store and a party shop, although there are quite a few other little shops. A print shop, a few artisanal type shops, some restaurants as far as I could see for the short time I was there. Oh and a little play area for the kids at one of the entrances.

This place has a wide variety of shops, high end to affordable, organic to non-organic, many restaurants catering for different appetites. There is a lot to do as a family and solo. Stunning shopping center, with a playground for children to play.
Clean, neat. Spar awesome. Staff friendly. Toilets, why should we pay especially if we have young children urgently needing the bathroom and you don't have R2. Not great.

A good neighborhood shopping center, plenty parking available but like most free parking you get car guards. This can be annoying but as long as they’re not heckling you it’s completely fine. Stores are limited but has mostly what you need. Lots of food options and located in a convenient area. ATM’s available no banks, and has public toilets. Kids play area in the middle of the restaurant area which is very nice. Nice that all restaurants are together and center is well designed that you can enjoy the view from the restaurants. Nothing worse than centers that don’t think about this design aspect.
The architecture and interior is breathtaking, there's is no need to go to another mall because canal walk has every store you can think off. I also love the surroundings around the mall and the bridge is absolutely stunning , it's perfect for taking walks and pictures
A mall, huge place very interesting place to visit.

Lots of activities, sea activities, kayaking, island tours, helicopter rides, harbour tours, an aquarium within walking distance, thses are some of the activities.

Oh yes the ferries wheel, where can get to see the whole view of the wharves and the ocean spread across.

Shopping mall from Luis Vuitton, Bally to high end boutique as well as local African craft shops and a good tobacconist!

Pick and Pay, Wool Worths and a movie theatre and so many more.

Food, Endless choices, local African cuisines, Italian pasta and pizza, fast food and of course my favourite Ocean Basket, can't do without, service and food at OB outstanding !!!?

There were buskers singing, dancing and playing traditional African music, it was really lively, we really had a good time and enjoyed the performances. Don't forget a big tip in the box, I think they really deserve it.

A place worth a visit cause there are so much to do and see......
Awesome place to be, only thing they need to fix is the restaurants closing early hahaha but above all it's a classy environment
A worthy visit for both locals and visitors when next in Cape Town. Easy and accessible parking and roadside free after 13h00. The selection of shops, restaurants, and beautiful architecture make for great photographs with no buskers nor beggars allowing for leisurely strolls and a most enjoyable half day to see all.
The V&A is always a vibe, always live entertainment happening. I just don't like the fact that they moved The Cape Wheel to the back of the mall. The view is more spectacular from there, but it's on the far end rather than central. I hate dirty public toilets, but the bathrooms are always clean and ready to use. They have enough security always walking around, too. Bring the kids along. There's a playpark for them, too. Dress warm in winter. it's very cold here.
Very beautiful Shopping Mall which is really worth visiting. It has all the branded shops as well as nice restaurants and fast foods. There's even a Movie theatre and a huge gaming spot for children!

Amazing location. Clean, neat & well laid out. Plenty of places to eat, plenty of activities along the Harbour side with amazing views. Informal pop up markets with a variety of goods & foods cater for all tastes. V&A is safe with plenty of parking. Loved it!
Amazing waterfront setup, something for everyone ... Good food, good shopping place .... Lot of cultural elements in the mix .. A must visit for family
Wow. This Shopping Mall is so Awesome and Looks Amazing. I absolutely enjoyed the Food Court, the Mall is so Beautiful and they added a 4DX at the Nu Metro Cinema. Canal Walk is my Top 1 Favorite Shopping Mall of All Time. 🤩🥰
So many shops to visit_ if you do not go there for something specific, you can loose your mind....
It is also an ideal place to have something to eat_ with a view!
Awesome place, wide variety of shops and restaurant selections. Very different and unique retail stories. Visited the Spar in here, fresh and tasty food, great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

I love this mall. It is huge , well maintained and very clean. All the shops you could possibly need is under one roof.

One of the positives of this mall is that parking is free and there is more than enough parking as there is underground parking as well.

We also live in the Northern Suburbs so this mall is perfectly located for us to use. We frequent this mall often and to be honest it is mostly to use their food court.

The staff is very friendly at all the shops that we have used and they are always eager to assist you.

The one negative about this mall is that it only has one floor. This means that you really have to come prepared to walk far from one shop to another as some shops are obviously far from each other.

That’s why malls such as Canal Walk, Tygervalley and so many other malls has more than one floor. Moving from one floor to the next is made easier by using lifts and escalators.

So if you coming to shop at Somerset Mall, you should put on comfortable shoes and have enough time to walk, as this mall may be flat but it also massive!

One of the most beautiful places in Cape Town with some gorgeous views, stunning restaurants and all in all, amazing people!

There is a lot of security staff so you can feel as secure as you can. It is also kid and pet friendly!

PS: Don’t forget to get a cruise ride, it’s worth your money!
It is the most beautiful mall I have seen so far. From the public entrance side that is entrance no.12 I only realized when I was inside already that I am now in the mall as I was busy looking at the waters with spectacular views and estates and hotels surrounding it. It is very clean with touch of gold on rails and the shops beautifully displayed their merchandise.
My go-to mall for everything.
From meetings, fun activities for the kids, or just a pop in at the Sorbet on the top floor.

The largest mall in Cape Town is Canal Walk. more than 400 stores are located at Canal Walk Shopping Center. movies, jewelry, home goods, health and beauty products, as well as fresh pop-up shops and mid court activations.

All ages can find something to enjoy.

This Mall has everything you need, food, beauty and lots of shopping. My family especially enjoys going to the movies there. Parking is safe and you've got parking attendance that really care and lookout for you. I send my teenage kids to late movies with ease because I know they'll be safe.
This village/mall is quite nice. It seemingly has everything one needs without going oversized like a mall. Pharmacy, hardware, sporting equipment, grocery, housewares, etc. Disagree with the negative reviews here.
Talk it slow and enjoy the variety, chill in the open space and enjoy the people watching. Lots of security about, which I suppose is good.
As a tourist found this place inviting and the shopkeepers all friendly.
Recommend and would return.
Everything under one roof.Relaxing and secure. Ample parking and professional and friendly staff from security to Frontline cashiers.
Friendly and helpful car guards! There's a pizza shop with R15 cappuccinos & lattes. Crazy store is well stocked.
Amazing variety of luggage, recommended. We found what we needed
I just love shopping at this beautiful and clean centre. There are so many shops to shop at and I love the variety of restaurants and coffee shops. I can spend hours with the kids in the LEGO shop while my husband browse in the bookshops. Thanks for the most amazing shopping experience 💕
Sunday had my hair cut, did my shopping and got nice dry wors on my way out.
Accomodative and considerate of people knocking off late at work. Their daily operating hours is conducive
One stop for all of the essentials. There's a liquor shop, crazy store, PNA, dog food shop and of course checkers along with a few other stores. I just wish the checkers was a bit better. I have also had a few bad experiences with the car guards. I prefer Vergelegen checkers, it's cleaner, safer and better quality in my opinion.
Love those apartments.... The convenience of just having shops downstairs is the best specially when ranking and not feeling like driving out
Great, got two of my grandchildren both lots of nice gifts for their birthdays. If you got four grandchildren like me that's the place to be.
The main attraction is Checkers. Not exactly flag ship branch to put it mildly. In fact the only time in my life I wish I had the money to grocery shop at Woolworths. A great take away pizza shop and a cool PNA for all those who share my love for stationery.
This is the most interesting, beautiful place ever. It's mountains the food the people and the wine soooo smooth and it's is just made local. OOOOH so satisfying and beautiful place to stay.

Right next to everywhere you need to go. However the parking spaces can be rather tight.
