Love the Moro cookbook and been meaning to visit this restaurant for the past 20 years! Testament to its quality and ethos meant that I could. Loved the bustle and noise of a packed restaurant. Great service, tasty, hearty, healthy food. Kudos to the kitchen team pictured here!
Amazing food! We had their Hainanese Chicken Rice and Beef Horfun. Chicken was so tasty and tender. The beef was also very soft and has an amazing wok hei. The place was a buzzing, though some people might find it a bit loud. Service was also very fast and efficient. The lady who was serving us was amazing. Will definitely be back 🫶
This one came recommended by someone. What a lovely place to be, I went with my friend for dinner. I had the kimchi pancake and prawns, both amazing! He had beef he really enjoyed. Fast service, nice music, kind staff. 🫶🏼
Ipoh Laksa is probably 7/10 from those found in South East Asia. It is pretty good considering it is in London. Portion is fair. If you miss Laksa and you're in London, this is the place to go. Be prepared to pay 20-30 GBP to satisfy your home-sick appetite.
My sibling and I had attended this restaurant as a pre-theatre dinner. Visited on 26th August, just after 6PM.
This is located on Greek Street. On the same stretch, you’ll find a plethora of other Asian restaurants; i.e. Japanese BBQ, etc. There are also a few drinking spots too. If you fancy a few drinks : cocktails. Then a dance off 🙃
There was a small queue, which took around 15/20 mins to them get seated. The manager / host, was courteous enough to inform of the rough estimate to get seated.
There is seating upstairs and downstairs. You’ll find booths, located at the back on the top floor.
The toilet is very small / cramp. Big Broad people may find this a little challenging
So what was ordered.
Side Dishes: Korean Fried Chicken (10 pieces) came with Special Soy Sauce; this I found quite sweet and almost remising of an Apple Sauce, like a purée. The other was Kimchi Mayo, which I found to the better of the sauces. I found the batter to lack the seasoning and coating compare to other Korean establishments that I’d once visited.
Pan-Fried Kimchi Pancake - not enough Kimchi and made eggy taste.
Mains:
Chilli Chicken Bibimap with extra toppings Fried Egg (+£1.50) on Brown Rice (+£1)
Spicy Pork Bibimap with extra topping Fried Egg (+£1.50) - the pork requires more marination for the taste to come through.
These come with chilli & miso condiment squeezy bottles.
In all honesty, neither of these Bibimbaps were that enjoyable. As per other Google review, there’s a severe lack of protein and more cabbage, vegetable. The level of spiciness is more tailored for the western pallet. There was hardly any heat level, when compared to other traditional Korean restaurants. I suppose if you want to get the level of protein you should be getting, it’s optional for an extra £4.50
The only highlight for myself, was the Kloud Korean Beer. It’s a white beer, smooth and nice hops. Had 3 of them.
The service was exceptional and friendly. Hence the high score ✌️🙃👍
There is Parking but it’s very limited and difficult. I wouldn’t advise leaving your car parked there on a weekend. If you have people who can be very inebriated.

Just go and eat everything you see on the menu. It’s all good!!!!! Ecuadorian food - what a discovery!
Been to Rasa Sayang a couple of times and food is consistently decent. The beef noodles are really nice and the roti canai with chicken is delicious but the chicken is on a bone which, in a curry in a small bowl, makes it rather difficult to eat. The Char Kway Teow is also nice and the Chargrilled Tiger Prawns were quite dry and not very flavourful. Prices decent and service efficient.
Arrived without a reservation, but they made the effort to accommodate us for one hour slot. The service was very attentive and fast. We ordered the baos, two types of the laksa, and noodles. Flavors were amazing, and very generous portions. The laksa is a very filling soup, so make sure you go with a full appetite.
They open only for dinner from 5 to 9, and are really a very popular spot, so make sure you make reservations before visiting, which I truly recommend you to do, it's a great place to eat.

Bibimbap was great visually and also in texture. I’ve had better spicy rick cakes, however. It was not worth the price.
Very nice restaurant. Good atmosphere can surrounding. Service was also very good. Food arrived very quickly and certainly had 'wok hei'. Recommend to anyone in the vicinity.
This used to be a old fashioned Malaysian restaurant serving generous heapings of popular Malaysian fare. It’s now been given the ‘Wagamama’ treatment and the menu has shrunk, the portions have reduced in size even more, and while the interior has been given a makeover, it’s now tightly packed and oriented towards turnover rather than culinary hospitality. It’s a real shame as I won’t be returning again. There are some authentic Malaysian restaurants in Shepherds Bush and Acton for those looking for the real thing.
I have tried many char kway teow in the uk and none of them even come close compare to tukdin, this is the second time i have tried this dish, and this is really similar to the taste that i have tried in asia. You can tried the wok hay with the kway teow, very well seasoned.
Laksa is also with good taste and I recommend it. They have put many things inside laksa, eg three large mussel, many shrimp, fish ball. The laksa soup can taste it is homemade but not buy premade base. A creamy coconut can be tasted as well.

So glad we came across this gem in Soho. The number of reviews and ratings this place has really shows how well they are doing. The food was amazing, all served together and everything was fresh. We would recommend the kimchi pancakes, seafood soup and their most traditional dish! Highly recommended
Overall, our dining experience at this Korean restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The friendly staff, the impeccable flavors, and the cozy atmosphere all contributed to a memorable evening. Shout out to Jeet and Jason for making this special ! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Korean dining experience.

This has been on our list for a while and been wanting to try them for the Malaysian delicacies.
Finally visited it. Though we didn’t have prior reservation we did get the table quickly. There were few free tables at the basement but they got occupied real quick.
Ambiance is pleasant.
Service is very quick.
For drinks we had Lychee Cooler, which is a gin based cocktail and a Guava Shorline which is a non-alcoholic drink. Both were delish. Really loved them.
We ordered vegetarian Tempeh to share, which were like soy chips in a really yummy sauce. It was very flavourful.
For mains, I went with Treasures Buddha's delight which sounded interesting based on its description. The dish says it comes with noodles but they ain’t the main sized noodles but they are very minimal. Our server Alice did recommend ordering a rice side along with it.
The dish was gooood but wasn’t as flavourful as our starter/tempeh. Personally would have loved to have a bit more flavour in this dish.
Other half ordered Nasi Goreng (S) which he said he really enjoyed. It came with rice, prawn crackers, and a crispy wing kinda thing. The portion was great for the price. One of the best so far he has had in London.
Overall a wonderful experience..

Great food and atmosphere. Never know much about Bulgarian cuisine but was recommended by a friend and can say I am surprisingly very impressed. Chicken hearts and liver was unreal. Highly recommend visiting. £50 for 2 people for 2 starters and mains.
The amount of creativity, passion, and thoughts that have gone into the menu to combine the traditional Persian flavors with modern French techniques is absolutely fascinating. It’s not just the creativity and presentation, but everything also tastes incredible. If I lived in London, I would have to restrain myself not to go more frequently than once a month!
The other favorite part of my dining experience is how the tasting menu transitions from small modern French dishes, suddenly, to a Persian feast (photo attached). The chicken and the rice could be the best I ever had.
Lastly, the fact that you are sitting in the kitchen and everything is being prepared around you is an experience you won’t forget.

Dined in here on Monday and I absolutely loved it! I’ve always wanted to go for a Korean barbecue and my wish definitely became true! It is a really fun experience!

The highlight for me was the baby squid and the glass noodles. Glass noodles are an absolute must! The texture is unique and addictive, I could go and have two bowls of only that! The beef and pork on the barbecue can be as crispy, as rare, as whatever you want. As much as the lovely ladies in there come to cut it up and cook it for you, you can also have control over what your meat is doing on there :)
The service is a bit slippery however, we got lucky with our lovely waitress Hagyeong, as she was super attentive, caring, spent so much time at our table making sure we get the right experience. She was lovely! We were served by 4 people total, out of which she, and the lady who took our order, seemed to be the only ones to truly care. Hagyeong is definitely the one who saved so much of our experience so thank you for that! She needs a pay raise haha!

I’m persian so this review is definitely bias! Thank you for delicious ghormeh sabzi and salad shirazi and the best bite of kookoo sabzi. The dessert was also very innovative, I enjoyed it. I wish I had more. I was also pleasantly surprised to see lavashak with fish and it tasted great! I’m very grateful that you open the restaurant like this to try to push Persian cuisine to the next level. If I could give feedback it would be I was very disappointed the tahdig was not crispy, wasn’t a fan of the gheymeh, the olivieh nor the mocktails. I was surprised there was no pomegranate drink. Also, there’s no phone number and I received no reply through email. If there was an à la carte menu, I would go back at least once every 2 to 3 months, but because it’s a fixed menu, I will go back every couple years to experience the new innovations. The final price without alcohol for 2 was around £250. Best of luck to the chef and owner! Thank you!

This was my favourite restaurant that I had visited in 2023. The food was absolutely impeccable with portions of food given in perfect amounts. The food was delicious and so elegant,. Such a tidy place, layout and the atmosphere was good too. A meal for 2 would serve 3 people easily as we had so much food left over. I would recommend going to this restaurant for a special day out. Try out new flavours, enjoy the great ambiance and leave more than just satisfied.
Best bibimbap in London! Always a reliable yummy meal. The pork and kimchi soup, kimchi pancake and any of the bibimbap choices are excellent. Friendly and kind staff. The root tea is also yummy. Reasonable price for soho and great location for shopping or theatre afterwards. You can walk right in reservation not needed.
First time eating here. The entrance doesn't look great but don't be put off. We had lunch mid-week and there was only another table. We ordered bbq beef as well as a seafood one as well as a kimchi pancake, which was too much for the 2 of us. Food was awesome - tasty,fresh and authentic. Service was friendly and attentive too. Really lovely experience, thank you!

I brought a friend to experience Singapore/Malaysia cuisine after reading positive reviews online.
The portions were small for the price that you are paying and tasteless. For the plate of char way teow, there was only a few slices of Chinese sausage, fish cake and 2 prawns! Secondly, the staff were rude and even gave us the wrong bill which I paid without checking. I then went to the counter to inform the waitress who served us and the manager was unprofessional in the way she managed the situation. Will not be going back again!

My favourite Korean restaurant in Chinatown, London 🥰 the staff are so friendly and the service is excellent! As for the food- we've visited on several occasions and the food has always been delicious!

Delicious and filling. Visited twice with no booking and each time they were able to fit in a slot for us. (I recommend getting reservations because we had 1hr to eat which was really 30 mins after ordering and waiting.)

Outstanding restaurant. It had a great atmosphere, with a very homely feel - which was reflected in the food. We ordered beef rendang and the mee goreng which were both superb. Service was excellent and the restaurant is very Muslim friendly (all halal and no alcohol). Came here over 10yrs ago so it says something that it is still open and standards haven't slipped.
Stumbled in here unexpectedly for a friend's birthday. We had the best time! The food and the service were all excellent!

Great Malaysian delivery option. Laksa broth was great. Randang beef was tasty too and chicken starter also delicious. Gets a bit oily with the soup but really well packaged.

The food was very tasty and authentic. My plate was empty at the end of our dinner, I'm really pleased with the service and the cuisine. We ordered rice wine conquer me and my friends. I recommend this restaurant :))
Great. A small stable just right in SoHo, serving excellent Bimbimbap — I ordered mine with brown rice (optional) and a fried egg on top. The taste was lovely, just as you’d expect it from Korean food. Same goes for the kimchi pancake, which is always a great starter. Not as spicy as advertised on their menu but then they’ll hand you some spices to pop it up. Service was great, would come there any time again!
Love this hidden gem!! The ceviches deserve pride of place but whatever you do don't miss the guacamole with plantain chips and the croquetas, they're to die for. Will be coming again !!

The food was great. For starters, we had chicken wings and lamb satay (the peanut sauce was delicious). The duck bao buns had crispy Duck inside a moist bun. Laksa, an obvious choice for main, was really flavourful.
The only disappointment was the dessert (mango snow ice!!) which had very little taste except for crushed ice. I also found the reluctance of servers to take orders quite strange, even though the restaurant was pretty empty on a weekday evening.

I supposed to meet up with friends at the Cheemac but my friend has decided to change another Korean restaurant because it was less people in this Little Korea due to extremely busy and crowded everywhere in Leicester Square areas during weekend.
Little Korea is situated at a busy China Town, Leicester Square in London. A compact setting, small restaurant without decoration, it was more seats at the basement floor with toilets.

Little Korea is situated at a busy China Town, Leicester Square in London. A compact setting, small restaurant without decoration, it was more seats at the basement floor with toilets.

Amazing place. Bryan was the best. The service was a top top. This was a great find during our trip to London. The food taste like heaven. Service super fast. I noticed something that it was the best experience ever. Bryan our waiter and bartender spoke 3 languages on the same table. This was service 100%! Thank you for the great drinks with sugar Cain juice, and the patacones 😊.

In love with the soup here. I went to Little Korea twice now and this place never disappoints me. I would really recommend this place and would definitely be a good place to bring friends or family as well as it is a very cozy place. The service is very good and quick. Although the price of the dishes are a bit high than other places.
Nice Bulgarian restaurant with lovely staff and good-sized meal portions - plenty of protein available! Staff were personable and helpful. Air-conditioned with plenty of space between tables. Extensive alcohol menu. Great place for business meetings or family gatherings. Son and I had chicken liver and hearts in a delicious sauce with cream. Mum's and her partner's salmon was a generous portion (two fillets each), each served with an ample side salad. The homemade flatbread with garlic was delicious. And the toilets were really clean - a good indication of the cleanliness in the kitchen I have heard people say 😀
The food is delicious and well priced for the amount and for London prices. Service is good, although not always the quickest. The atmosphere is very nice and cooling for the summer days. They offer many different foods in the menu which is good.

Bustling, clean and great tasting korean food! Comes with 3 complimentary nibble dishes including kimchi as is standard with most korean restaurants. Each main ~£13. Bootle beer is £4.60. Seafood pancake, a favourite of mine (and for benchmarking Korean restaurants), was really good here. All dishes were true to your standard Korean offering. Highly recommended

It took me a while to choose a korean bbq restaurant but i’m so glad I chosed this one!!! Price it’s okay we were two people and we ordered two mains, 2 types of beef and a drink, we spent 65£. Service was 10/10 every single waiter came to check if everything was good and they helped us to use the bbq. Food was amazing we ordered two types of noodles which were really good but unnecessary cause the beef was a lot!! Had to take the noodles away. We chosed beef bulgogi (n85) and beef brisket (n98). They even offered us kimchi, misu soup, lettuce and some veggies and taught us how to eat properly 😂 I’ll definitely go back again!!!

Spacious space and kind staffs! Foods were tasty, but was a bit mild then needed a little more seasoning. So we asked chilly oil(there were shrimps in it, so tasty), foods were became perfect flavours. Saw lots Malaysian and Singaporean customers, lots family group visit.
We had the most incredible food in a great atmosphere. The cherry cava aperitivo was so fresh and delicious, and the food was seasonal, beautifully cooked and the portions were generous. I especially loved the chocolate orange tart. The person who served us was really attentive and experienced. Highly recommend.
One of my favourite Malaysian restaurants in London. Cute family run restaurant with all the classics, and some interesting additions. Recommend the beef Rendang, chicken satay, mee goreng and the garlic fried chicken.
The best place for laksa noodles in London ! We ordered three different ones and they all tasted incredible! Also the roasted duck must ordered ! Definitely will go back again !

Staff was helpful and friendly. We were a party of six who shared a few starters, a couple of fish and meat mains and some sides. We really enjoyed dining here. The food was brilliant and the atmosphere was relaxing too. The space itself was beautifully decorated. It was worth our travel to this part of London! I would be returning!
It was my first time here, we were a mixed group Bulgarian, Canadian, British, Turkish, Somalian, Indian and Italian. There are a lot of staff, so you can order food and drinks quickly and easily. The staff speak Bulgarian and English. The salads and fries are really fresh and tasty, not sure what the really white cheese is, but that's good too! The rest of the food wasn't for me, but I am British, so maybe that's preference more than anything. They stay open really late and serve food into the early hours of the morning, which is a nice touch. The security is also pleasant, not intimidating and rude like most places. The Bulgarian beer was amazing! If you like to sing and dance, then this is the place for you. Lots of traditional Bulgarian music/songs performed by a live band, consisting of men and women. All of the clientele seemed happy and good people, no fights or bad incidents. I would definitely come back. :)

We absolutely loved the place 😊 you definitely need to book and definitely don't be in a rush . The food is freshly prepared daily . Worth the wait in-between dishes as you are a tasting Michelin Star food and the tastes are AMAZING 😍 thanks to who I'd like to call my friend the Head Chef and all he's staff as they are a great bunch of people , knowledgeable, helpful and have a great sense of humour. The ambiance is so comfortable, so relaxing, you will see from my photos. I have pictures of the dishes , which I will name when I next visit as so much goes into every dish with flavours out of this world , worth treating yourself . They are also opening a wine bar across the road which will definitely be worth a visit. Top notch, everything else we eat now is bland in comparison 😁 keep up the good work guys and see you soon 🤞
Amazing food and amazing service! Previously been many times, but this is my first time after covid lockdown. I brought here my friends who were visiting from Thailand back in the summer. It was a much needed fix for them, after a week of no Asian food at all. All food was so so so good. Char kway teow, beef rendang, and nasi lemak were our favourites.

All the laksas are quite spicy so would need some time to eat it. Very flavourful with a good amount of toppings and meats in the noodle dishes.

Great food and very good service. Highly recommend the Bulgarian eggs for breakfast. The crème caramel is made fresh and they serve some nice homemade drinks like lemonade. Love the wall art outside :)

I have used Moro cookbooks for several years but never been to the epicentre! On this visit to London, we made time for a Moro lunch break. Genuine atmosphere with genuine food. There is a reason why Moro has been here for 25 years! Loved the menu, slightly pricey though.

I was a bit disappointed in the coconut rice that seems to be all the rage among reviews, mine came out watery and overcooked and I wasn't a fan. The roti isn't on par with roti king but still yummy. The dishes we ordered were very good, although I've forgotten the name. The server was very nice and recommended them to us.
The food was flavourful and good value for money. We will be back if in the area

To celebrate a family birthday. We booked a table at the Bulgarian restaurant 681 in Merton Park.
This restaurant, only within walking distance for us, is a friendly and welcoming place. The food is freshly cooked.
Definitely a five-star from us.

Moro is a great Spanish restaurant - though I'm not 100% sure how authentic Spanish the food is or from what region. Some up-market restaurants explain their background and cuisine type in an area of the menu which can be useful. The food was excellent quality, perhaps a tad overpriced for the portion size though. The drinks (cocktails, freshly squeezed blood orange juice etc) were also great and had a good variety. I had sourdough with oil and salt for the table, the halloumi and tomatoe starter, baked lamb for main, and the chocolate and apricot desert and thought this was excellent, though the lamb was cut very thinly - a thicker cut would be juicier. My partner tried the hake (which I also include a picture of and said that it tasted amazing). It's definitely worth visiting and trying for yourself - just bear in mind it's about £60 per person before service charge.
Excellent Ecuadorean food jazzed up Islington style served in a meticulously thought out interior. Very friendly and efficient staff. The chef obviously works his derrière off so literally every dish is cooked to perfection making it a true cultural experience. Canelazo wasn’t on the menu, highly recommended. The portions are tapas size so the bill ran up to £150 for three people.

Came here for our team Christmas lunch. Had never heard of it, but was booked by someone else in the team. As soon as you walk in you can smell the lovely food. We had their Christmas menu which included a bunch of starters to share, a main each and a dessert too. It was all SOOOO DELICIOUS. I’m not sure why I’ve never heard of it before, or how popular it is in London but it is amazing. Underrated in my eyes. The starters were my favourite I have to say. It varied from creamy leeks, beetroot, liver, a pasta with squid and more. All great. I don’t even like liver, but this one was amazing. Everyone had a variety of dishes for mains. I personally got seabass, others had duck, cod and lamb. I tried everything and was all cooked amazingly and so interestingly spiced. The pictures give a better view and I could be here all day describing each dish. Really is something special, this needs to be tried. Loved it, would go again. The staff were super friendly and accommodating even when we were getting a little loud! We had some amazing desserts, the most popular being a lemony yoghurt cake. Also they give bread, LOTS of great bread.

I went to a party there last Saturday with my friends, and we had a really rubbish time! I took along a birthday cake, which I asked the staff to keep cold, and to bring out to the table as it was – they ended up plonking a huge sparkler in the middle of the cake, which made it collapse… No, apologies, whatsoever… And only a few slices came out after they cut it so where is the rest of the cake?!! Also, the Bulgarian football team, were having a meal in a restaurant that same evening and the musicians and singers were just focusing on them whilst excluding all the other tables and any music that they wanted. We had to tip the singers a lot of money in order to get them to play some of our requested music. Food way too expensive for what it was. Rude staff, poor hospitality, way, too cramped, disgusting toilets… really don’t bother.

The staff and service at the drunken butler are a real part of the experience. Very friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend something to drink! The decor is beautiful.

Fabulous meal in the city, impressive wine list and creative dishes (of course some more successful than others). Very expensive but our meal took around 5 hours and never felt long so for that kind of experience the price is understandable. The only odd thing is we were the only people in the restaurant the night we ate there - it has a cozy living room vibe so it didn't feel too awkward but was definitely a new experience.
Superb restaurant for any food and wine aficionado. The tasting lasted 3 and a half hours. Eclectic mix of cuisines and surprising ingredients combination. For example lobster topped with caviar, in a sauce of curry and a touch of vanilla (yes it was succulent). My favorite dish was the monk fish. However I was not a fan of the rare pigeon meat. The dishes are tastefully paired with carefully selected wines, including natural ones. Overall it was exquisite, a treat to oneself.
Place is small but the food is amazing!! It reminded me of the time me and my wife travelled to Malaysia. Some of the items maybe too spicy for non-asians, so better ask before ordering. But for us it was perfect, felt we were back in KL.

Went on a late Sunday evening for the first time, unfortunately without booking the table in advance. With some effort we tried to explain to the staff that we wanted a table for eat ( because apparently at night the place become like a disco dance) but the staff seems to have only a basic level of English language. Anyway we got the table and meanwhile we were having a look at the menu we tried to ask some info about some Bulgarian dishes, but the waiter was really unhelpful. Anyway after we have found our way, we got some generous portions of nice food, some Bulgarian typical beer. Then a lovely dessert carried with a really nice Bulgarian two glasses if spirits. All accompanied from a live folkloristic music band, and group of people that were busy to dance. As we started to see some new people arriving for the dancing night club. Honestly the only problem was trying to communicate with the staff, but the food is very nice and with many selections. The music and the dance was really good as well, so my conclusion is that we want definitely experience their atmosphere again, and definitely if you want to try something different from the usual range of restaurants in London you should go.

The walk upstairs was sickening from the amount of stale cigarette smoke clinging to the walls. Arriving in the place it looks like a function room. There was a small group seated by a dance floor, celebrating a child's birthday. There was kiddie-disco music blaring out the whole time we were there and toddlers running up and down the hall. This was all actually the least terrible thing about the evening.
The waitress was rude. I had to argue to be given tap water instead of bottled water that costs a bomb. Her attitude was one of annoyance and irritation at anything we said.
The starters were ok. Just ok.
We had then ordered a sharing platter of meat for a main course and honestly it was like the lowest quality meat, with little flavour and a distinctly Eastern-Bloc feeling. Even though we were hungry, we really couldn't eat much.
We quickly paid the bill and left.
Please do yourself a favour and don't go. Perhaps unless you are Bulgarian. Honestly, even the Bulgarians weren't really filling the place and it was what I'd consider a peak time of the week for the restaurant trade!! (Saturday evening.) The walk upstairs was sickening from the amount of stale cigarette smoke clinging to the walls. Arriving in the place it looks like a function room. There was a small group seated by a dance floor, celebrating a child's birthday. There was kiddie-disco music blaring out the whole time we were there and toddlers running up and down the hall. This was all actually the least terrible thing about the evening.
The waitress was rude. I had to argue to be given tap water instead of bottled water that costs a bomb. Her attitude was one of annoyance and irritation at anything we said.
The starters were ok. Just ok.
We had then ordered a sharing platter of meat for a main course and honestly it was like the lowest quality meat, with little flavour and a distinctly Eastern-Bloc feeling. Even though we were hungry, we really couldn't eat much.
We quickly paid the bill and left.
Please do yourself a favour and don't go. Perhaps unless you are Bulgarian. Honestly, even the Bulgarians weren't really filling the place and it was what I'd consider a peak time of the week for the restaurant trade!! (Saturday evening.) A few very highly dolled up people arrived around when we were ready to leave, but nothing like what you'd expect in a busy part of North London on a Saturday evening.
