This restaurant could be so much better! Great location on the sea but improvements in service and good are needed. The ceviche was good, the mixed grill reasonable but just average. Prices a bit high but paying for the location. If the seaside is the goal and not high expectations on food , then not bad.

I ate anticuchos and picarones. It was delicious. It is a nice place to go with family or friends.

The Anticuchos completely overturned my take on what a skewer should be. These beauties where uterfly and completelyn tasteful from beginning to end!, be it warm or cold, the Anticuchos were spiced and cooked to taste amazingly.
Definitely a must stop if you are around and are not vegetarian or vegan.

Average food, music is very loud, the staff are helpfull, we went for the ocean view.
One of my favorite treats when I’m in Peru is anticuchos. It’s cow hart kabobs. Maybe not be for every taste bud, but it’s worth a try. Anticuchos are usually served together with Picarones. It’s the desert portion of the meal. So don’t forget to order a place. The picarones here were delicious.

There was a lot of trash on the beach, a restaurant employee came to pick it up but left plenty of trash behind.

Very subpar food and service was mediocre. Limited hours we made reservations, but got a small table for 3 of us. Portions were small and taste was not impressive. We will not return. Expensive for the quality and wine lost was very limited.
One of the best Peruvian fusion I have had so far, I chose the wrong choice of rice (like risotto) with scallops but still like it 7/10. The rest are like 10/10 😋😋😋. Definitely recommend and will absolutely visit again next time in Lima. 👏👏👏
Absolutely faultless. This is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in years. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The food, was absolutely spectacular; I had roasted vegetables and cheese to start, duck magret with mash for main and cheesecake for dessert. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough - it is absolutely essential you go here if you’re in Lima.
The roof top bar was a blast. The offered many unique cocktails not seen in other places. The small plate food was very good as well. Our waiter was fast and efficient. A must if you are visiting Barranco
It’s a small restaurant. We came here around 2pm on a weekday, and we got the seat immediately. The food was pretty good, and we enjoyed the duck leg confit with green sauce & beef tenderloin with potatoes and mushroom, and the grilled octopus was also pretty good. We really liked the mocktail with pineapple, lime and cilantro/coriander. Overall, it’s a great dining experience!
2nd visit! Great food starting with conchas a la chalaca. tiradito, the tonato, followed by pulpo, camerones, and the panceta (with way too kuch pepian), Margret with gnocchi, The mouse profiterole with coffee at the end was a great finish, including the espresso which is supplied by local roaster ciclos. The pisco in the end also wonderful. 2nd tine the chef was more relaxed serving 1/2 portions to try… but still complicated! 🤗🥳

I ate here yesterday and ever since I'm on fluid sh*ts and fever. My dinner partner did not drink any of the water that was offered. Furthermore, I only ate some packaged food in the morning yesterday, so I'm fairly certain that the water/food poisoning happened in this restaurant.

The one place that can dependably make a perfect cocktail and chill. Beautiful artwork and beautiful hotel as well.
Really fantastic. Highly recommend. Best cacaio y pepe I have ever had. And the beef rib with rice was also amazing. The cracked mud walls and stylish design gives great atmosphere.

Good food, but far too expensive given the casual atmosphere right on a busy road. There are much better restaurants in the area for half the price, such as Sofá Cafe, El Bigote, or Isolina.
Surreal fine dining experience that I’ve had when visiting Lima. Lots of interesting ingredients are from the extreme altitude to dry valley, from Amazon rainforest to Mil Centro, Moray or Sacred Valley.
The food was delicious I loved the goat neck, deconstructed Cacao and the zucchini was fantastic. They did an excellent job with the presentation work. - I've eaten in similar restaurants including his wife's restaurant Kjolle, and Travail in Minneapolis as well as other James Beard/Michelin stared restaurants, Central is good but it really isn't "great" especially at the price point they are at. Everything from the food to the staff feels like a worn out dance of wash & repeat offerings. You can tell from the staff they're tired of saying the same things to the 100+ guest they sling thru the restaurant every day. The service was tedious and slow. No one has their heart in their work - just going thru the motions. They say it is the top 3 restaurants of the world, and I don’t see it… if you look at the other reviews on TripAdvisor neither does anyone else. Especially at $350 a plate. Skip it.
My partner Max and I loved our visit to La 73! We don’t speak much spanish and Jeshua, our server was fluent in english and made some amazing recommendations for food and really made us feel at home on our trip! Made us feel really welcomed and told us great places to visit! The food was AMAZING! Ceviche was excellent, so was the pork belly entree and the churros were to die for! I definitely recommend this place to eat :)

The presentation of the dishes along with the drink pairing (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are out of this world. The service and ambiance is simply world class. Service was terrible. Chefs were slow. Brought out only one entre at a time for 7 people. Sitting outside got chilly by the time we left. The waitress was very good. Took a lot of flack from the customers but was kitchen's fault. Bar never brought my beer.

It’s been a wish of ours to go to Central and Peru in general to try the different ingredients this wonderful country has to offer. We had booked before it got voted the best restaurant in the world and watched Central win the award. This made me even more curious of what we were about to experience.
We dined at Central in September 2023 for lunch. Everything about this experience was ultimate perfection. From the design of the restaurant, the lighting, the garden, the staff and their attention to detail, the table spacing, the background music, the food (obviously) and the wine pairing. What I loved about Central is that it was an overall experience of all the senses. You immerse yourself in this space and its scent and sound and taste and just cut off from the world for a while.
The food was incredible, I tasted food which I never tasted before. The menu itself is categorised according to altitude which made it that more interesting. The potato plate was very interesting. I never thought I would taste piranhas but I did and I loved it. The fish belly which Virgilio served to us was the best dish in my opinion although I cannot not mention the dessert which was incredible. The chocolate used for this dish was divine. We did buy some chocolate from the restaurant to take back home with us. Central also served an additional dessert dish to celebrate my birthday which was very thoughtful. It was also a pleasure to meet Virgilio in person.

Great food and service. Smaller menu, but the food is very good. Pastas were homemade and the fish dishes were delicate and cooked to perfection.
Probably my favorite lomo saltaldo in Lima (I've had it several times here), and the best choclo and queso. They use sirloin steak (I think) which makes the lomo saltaldo so good. The sangria is very nice and the desserts are too. Highly recommended!

The front desk promptly checked our reservation, and a member of the restaurant staff escorted us to our table. What struck us was that despite the reservation list being fully booked for the day, there were only four tables occupied during our visit. It became clear that Kjolle's approach was to provide an exceptional dining experience by spacing out reservations and ensuring that each guest received undivided attention. This is a rarity in the restaurant industry, where many establishments are focused solely on maximizing sales revenue and often compromise on service quality. Very good food! The meat was so tender and the sides tasty! The area is nice but they don’t have a lot of space to sit. It seems like it’s multiple restaurants together that share this same place. Not very suitable for big groups of people. Prices were high but I would come back for the great quality food!

We had the pleasure of dining at Central in June of 2023, right when it was named the #1 restaurant in the world. Central isn't your typical high-end restaurant, but rather a holistic experience for the senses. From the moment you walk in, there is a table which showcases all of the ingredients that you will be consuming. Ambiance wise, the calming meditative music helps you to truly focus your senses. Their tasting menu takes you on a journey through the different regions of Peru. For instance, the first dish will have you begin in the Amazon, followed by the second dish on the coast, the third in the Andes Mountains and so on. The restaurant truly goes out of their way to show you exactly what you will be eating and where those ingredients are coming from. Their ultimate mission is for you to understand the complex culinary regions of Peru through different microclimates. The dish that stood out to us the most, was their disassembled Cacao dessert. They place a large Cacao fruit on the table and showcase a dessert platter which utilizes each part of the plant. We highly recommend you reserve Central during your trip to Lima. It is a perfect way to highlight each part of Peru through a culinary experience.
I am shocked that La 73 is not rated higher overall. This place was absolutely delicious! From the drinks to the main dishes, everyone in our group was so content! Highly recommended El Bohemio cocktail for a tiki style cocktail with the perfect twist. For dinner, we had some items off their main menu and invierno specials, which are all pictured. We especially adored the pulpo, the rice in the Arroz Arvejado, and the Lomo Quinoto with blue cheese. Thank you for an amazing dinner experience!
What a delicious meal we had for lunch at siete! Every dish was absolutely amazing with great service from the staff. I loved the fish curry main dish and will think of it all the time! The tiradito and ceviche is also great made of fresh flavors and quality. Siete is now my favorite spot in Lima in Barranco and I can’t wait to go back again one day! Would travel far to come back here again!
I had the Mundo Mater tasting menu, this was one of the few tasting menus in my life I liked almost all courses (2/14 were ok, the other 12 were incredible). They only use Peruvian ingredients, many of which I had never eaten before. Pace was fast, the 14 courses took less than 2.5 hours. The cutlery, plates and ceramics are stunning. Service was good.
I also had the non-alcoholic pairing, drinks were interesting, but I wouldn't do it again, did not think it was worth the price.

Right next to Central and rank number 28 best restaurant in the world. the best way to describe it is to visit this place. The experience start at the moment you go in the yard and check in, the service it just amazing, I had the 8 course meal paired with none alcohol drinks, you get a full explanation about the food where it comes from, how it prepared and how to eat it. In one world, Amazing!!!
The food was great. The location was literally next to the beach. Beautiful view. They give you the option of inside, outside next to the beach, or a terrace. We loved this place but the waitress was the part of the experience that could have been better.
Great food service and ambience. Really attentive service from everyone at the restaurant making you feel welcome. The food is so unique we tasted new flavors. Some of the South American wine pairing has exclusive bottles. Tried Mayta and Maido too. Central is absolutely number 1 in the city.
Kjolle deserves its spot on the list of the best. Such a wonderful experience. Definitely book a reservation ahead of time. We did not do the experience because we had already done the Central one and just wanted to taste whatever we wanted from the menu. Trust me, it’s still a wonderful explained experience and through out the process of each dish that comes out, they explain everything so thoroughly. The ambiance is also nice. Highly recommend!
Very good experience been here a few times and is always good. Sometimes the kitchen can be a little slow, but really it is a great spot, glad to have a restaurant like this in Barranco. Food is truly delicious so is really worth wait. They have outside tables on the street, regular tables inside and my favourite the bar area. Great cocktails too. Recommended!
So the place is beautiful but I gotta say the food / service was seriously lacking. To be fair we only had two sandwiches, which were recommended by the server and an entree that we chose so it’s always hard based on just those options. Might have to go back for pastas, pizzas and platos. The bread was way too hard, definitely Zimmerman or Cafe de Lima destroy this place if you’re after sandwiches. We also had the Coliflor for a starter, I’d find a stronger Greek yogurt and not so watery, also I’d caramelize (torch) the cauliflower a bit more, it basically tasted just boiled. I gotta give them credit though for the Jugo de Granadilla, rare find, legit! Don’t hate, just my experience.

A truly amazing experience! I have been wishing about going to Central ever since I saw Virgilio on Chef's Table. I was so glad that "Peru for Less" was able to book a spot for me during my time in Peru in April. To me the concept is beautiful. To explore the country and culinary diversity of Peru through the dishes presented at Central enhanced my entire trip from that point on. Congratulations on being named #1 restaurant in the world!

We had the egg brioche sandwich, mushroom kish, cinnamon roll and French toast. Everything was perfect! We especially enjoyed the sandwich and the kish.

Everything was fine, but sadly far from deserving of the hype that we have heard about this establishment. Granted our expectations were high, however I don’t believe the food came anywhere close to meeting them. The flavors were ordinary and reminded me of a neighborhood bistro. The squash and shrimp purée tasted exactly like it sounds. The salad had a few dehydrated leaves but mostly tasted like a simple garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Beef cheeks tasted like every beef cheek in red wine reduction I’ve ever had. My girlfriend’s fish was well grilled and seasoned but that’s the extent of her compliments. Maybe we should have gone for the experience instead.

Incredible the crabs
A great place for a night out with your friends, family or if you're having a date. All the staff is incredibly professional, friendly and pleasant, our waiter Luis certainly made our visit special. The food is great and coctails are awesome, I would definitely recommend this place.

A few days before I went to Central so at Kjolle I ordered from the a la carte menu. Kjolle is very different from Central. This couple’s view on ingredients and taste is towards mixing ingredients that you often don’t hear mixing. It’s also lighter in flavor which is perfect for Lima’s weather and ambient. Starting with their homemade bread already blew me away. That bread with their unique butter is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The top quality lasted until the very end with their super naturist dessert, refreshing my appetite and mind. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
Same premise as world famous Central. If you can’t book a table in Central or with budget, it is the place! I’m surprised with very high standard of both food and services with such prices. Good value! We ordered three courses from a la carte menu and a bottle of Peruvian natural wine recommended by the sommelier. All are heavenly good! The chocolate dessert is my favourite, best of the best! Must try! Highly recommended!
I really love this place. Location is superb and you can enjoy your food with comfort. I visited twice at this restaurant when I was on my Barcelona trip. I am a vegetarian so they have several options for vegetarians too. Staffs are very polite. Service was quick. Highly recommended
Lovely restaurant. Great location/ views. The food was nice ideal spot for a small bite or a big meal. The tapas is very nice as it's the sangria. Have been here a couple of times and it has anyways been very good.
Really cute sandwich and breakfast restraunt. When we were there they were out of the top 3 options we wanted but we got the roast beef sandwich and were very happy. Medium prices but really good quality.

The restaurant inside is dark, rustic, and needs a deep cleaning. Restroom included. Had an old mop urine smell on my way to the restroom, so detoured and waited til I reached my destination. Otherwise excellent experience. Would recommend for outdoor seating.

Really good food. Good service and friendly staff! They speak English and have an English menu as well. Their pisco sour was also pretty good. The atmosphere is not the best but the overall experience was really good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
On my first day in Lima, I went here for breakfast! I absolutely loved it. The interior was very nicely decorated with plants and cool tiles. The breakfast menu offered a good variety to cover both the sweets and the savory. They had an English menu as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The ceramic plates used and the display of the food was also really nice. The overall atmosphere with the music and everything creates a very joyous time. I would definitely recommend it.

They were so flavorful, so tender & absolutely delicious!!! I enjoyed every bite! I was very surprised at how fool I got from just having two skewers

Best hot chocolate in Peru over 2 weeks of travel. The cappuccino was too milky though.
For food we had the Shakshuka (tomato, eggs, Greek yogurt) and the roast beef sandwich (coming with mustard seeds, mayonnaise, salad parmesan and small cubes of tomato). The roast beef was quite good. The Shakshuka was actually too rich and powerful in spices so it became too heavy to taste and digest.
The place is quite popular. The service was quite slow. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to have the 1st drink (hot chocolate); had to wait 30 minutes for the food and we had to remind them of the coffee 40 minutes after ordering.
The place is beautiful and I love the access to the cooking book that we enjoyed reading while waiting for the food.

Excellent food, not as pricey as could be. Superb at bread based food, pizza and sandwiches. The service is kind and helpful. The atmosphere is tranquil and nice. Good decoration. Be mindful that lunch menus stop at 4. Pizza and sandwiches are served during the whole day.

I am obsessed with picarones. Being a Peruvian who grew up in the US their entire life, I’m only able to consume picarones if my mother makes it, which isn’t often because some of the ingredients (for the syrup) are hard to find where we live, or when I visit Peru. This is by far one of the best picarones I’ve had! So perfectly made. So perfectly fried. The syrup wasn’t too sweet. Everything was perfect! My Peruvian family also treated themselves to mazamorra morada. It was served warm and wowww, so delicious. Another perfectly made treat. It was sweetened just right.

Their Anticuchos are one of the best in the country. Their desserts are also amazing especially the Picarones and the Suspiro a la Limeña ( as you can see in the picture).

I had high hopes for this dive. Usually places like this serve the best food. My family was happy with their dishes however my dinner tasted like it was reheated from lunch. I would have called my server to replace my dish but I had not eaten all day and could not wait any longer to eat.
