Super tasty Turkish breakfast. Affordable and not too pricey. The service was also great, food came rather quick. One quick note: you can refill the breakfast unlimitedly!

Food was amazing. I ordered the tajine with seasonal vegetables. It tasted really good. The lam was really tasty. The bread was fresh. My mom also got a tajine en my brother got the spareribs. Everything was good.
1 of my favourate restaurants. They serve halal Maroccan food and do not serve alcohol. The food is always good, so I always enjoy it whatever I order. I can recomend this restaurant to anyone who loves Maroccan food or if it is your first time to try it.

Very nice place! The location is great with beautiful views of Rdam landscape. The interior is very spacious and well designed. I took the vegetarian menu and it was very good (full of taste, generous quantities, healthy…). I totally recommend and I will come back

Had an amazing time here, the food was exceptional. Had some waakye with fish, fufu and peanut soup accompanied with kelewele. The staff were very friendly and he service was good! Would recommend
An absolutely amazing meal! Had a lot of the choices on the menu and every dish was pure deliciousness and left you thinking about what flavours you were tasting. I also liked the textures of the dishes, they were unlike anything I’ve had before! I strongly recommend this place!

Some of the food is good and authentic, though the food was very simple. Don't really like the bread which was served with it, not much taste. I think for vegetarians this place is not great. My friend had lamb which was good.
Dessert was really terrible. It was an Italian dessert we chose, but no Italian would approve of this. Better to skip the desserts.
Staff was friendly, but slow, barely came to our table to ask if we wanted another drink, they could've made a lot money out of us. They also got our order wrong twice, my friend had to eat his main course way before mine was ready.

Wat een verschrikkelijk arrogante serveerster. Komt aanlopen zonder te groeten. Het eerste wat ze roept is: weten jullie het al terwijl we net een paar minuten zitten en de menukaart van een andere tafel hebben gepakt. Nou zou je denken dat de onvriendelijkheid daarmee wel klaar was, maar helaas. Zelfs bij het serveren van de gerechten kregen we niet eens een eet smakelijk toegewenst.

I had a family dinner after my sister’s wedding in The Hague. This place has great tasty foods! The service was friendly and nice.

Really enjoyed our time here. Big Riverside outdoor terrace. Inside it's beautiful. Many veggie options. Beautiful views. Easy parking. Only negative was the beer which was a bit warm.

we had a very special evening it was like we were in meknes ( a very beatifull city in marocco )for a moment and enjoyed the live music and amazing atmosphere....we liked it so much that we even got married on this mesmerizing location

I took my family to this restaurant for my birthday. I have been here a year ago and really enjoyed it and this time was no different! Our server was really patient and we felt very welcome. The food was delicious; meat was tender, flavorful and the portions were huge (luckily they will pack the leftovers for you!) They congratulated me so kindlt and gave me my favorite drink as a present. Definitely worth your money!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Staff were extremely welcoming, and helping explain dishes we weren't familiar with. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time - delicious! Wholeheartedly recommend trying it out! Really enjoyed the beer from Ethiopia - Bedele.

Tasty Chinese restaurant in Rotterdam. We have 7 people and ordered 5 dishes and they were already enough for us. The portion of each dish is quite big and affordable, which only cost us 17 euros per person. We love the sour fish the most, so tasty!!!
After 15 years living in China and 4 years being back home again, this is the most authentic sizhuan restaurant we have been so far.
We would love to stay longer in Rotterdam to come there every day

I felt a little bit like like I was back home at this cozy restaurant on Zwart Janstraat. The vibe is friendly and relaxing as soon as you enter. From looking at their photos on Google, I wanted to order the chicken with champignons in sauce. The dish was a delight! Absolutely delicious, well balanced and perfect portion. It was interesting to see the chef prepare it live building up the palate’s anticipation. Highly highly recommended!

Positive:
dishes were tasty. Tea was good. Turkish coffee was super.
Negative:
1) we were 6. We asked for x3 breakfast menu for two people. they has this rule that you can ask to refill for small dishes (not omelete). BUT they won't tell you at the beginning. Once they brought the dishes and we noticed it is only x1 and not x3 and asked why it is like this, ONLY THEN they explained us about this refill rule which means if we wouldn't have asked about it they would just serve x1!! ;-)
2) in that menu there is an omelet dish. they brought only one pan to us. we asked why this one is not x3? they said it is. but we just made all the 3 pan omelets in one pan. :-/
3) there were only 3 boiled eggs for 6 people. we didn't ask why but probably they would say: "ah you can ask for a refill for this as well "
4) when we asked for the bill: He (guess he was the manager) threw it on our table!
5) while we were talking very politely to one of the staffs (who was very nice and polite) about our orders in the bill, he came very aggressively to us, crumpled the receipt and went!!!!
So up to you if you want to go there or not. but for me quality/quantity of the dishes doesn't matter when I am not treated respectfully.

Never step in this restaurant if you only speak English , however if you speak dutch they can make it so complex, the service is so weak , we ordered 3 times Serpme dishes for 6 persons which is complete breakfast they served only one time and later at the time of payment they told that because the table did not have enough space we would serve the rest after finishing the first part , which is so strange and did not serve any thing . Never back again ! Bad experience by today !
Mama Essi is like comming home and your mom made your favorite dish! The love you feel there, the art on the walls, the music playing and the taste of the food is so amazing!!!
I waited to eat both breakfast and dinner to comment.Everything was in perfect. The friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, and comfortable setting added to the overall great experience. Simply put, it was an amazing experience and I will definitely be visiting again.
The service was very friendly and the Breakfast was very tasty. At least the Moroccan tea was amazing. We couldn't speak Dutch but the waitress could serve us in English. We Love it. Everything 10/10

The food was very tasty and the staff are super friendly! This was our first time there and it definitely won't be the last! And the food is Halal.
A cozy and lavish restaurant with great ambience. The food was good, my Dutch colleagues tried Afghani food for the first time and they loved it. As an Indian, I enjoyed the food too, the flavours kinda reminded me of food back home.
The starter soup was nice! The korma was awesome and so were the kofteh. The kebab platter was delicious too. The garlic nan was soft and fluffy. The only improvement would be the rice/pilaf which needs to pack in more of a flavour punch, maybe I'm nitpicking a bit because of where I come from. :)

Came back again after a week. We are craving. The authenticity of the food here is mouth-watering, its so flavourful. Before he had Grandma Essi’s Lamb now we both had Fufu with Light soup and Palmnut soup lamb. Worth the travel, worth the wait and worthy to pay.

The place looks beautiful and the service of the waiters are very kind and good. But we where dissapointed about the food. No one expect a restaurant to serve frozen meet or fish. I would advice this place to start serving fresh unfrozen meat and fish and not overcooked. Also some of the vegetable where not cooked well. The flavours did not blend in well together as it should. I know that Authentic moroccan food Is very good. But this was a huge dissapointment!!!! A beautifull place like Safir can do so much better And Hope they will in future.

Restaurant has a nice Middle-Eastern ambiance to it. Staff was nice and very helpful. Though, I was not very impressed by the cheeseburger menu, the taste was not special, price was too high (€12) and quantity was not sufficient for me.
Best African food I’ve had! Sumbusa with meat were incredible and katogo matooke was out of this world! Service of the family restaurant tops it off - one of my favourite dinners!

This is just decent Turkish food, which is something surprisingly difficult to find in Rotterdam.
The lentil soup and ''bulgur pilavı'' felt fresh and like properly home-made, non-greasy food. Grilled chicken was especially delicious.

Really great authentic african cuisine. The portions fill you up and you don't pay overpriced prices for it. The waitress was very friendly and personable, an elderly gentleman. The wait time for the food was great. About 10-15 minutes that went by quickly. We can highly recommend the restaurant. By the way: There is also halal meat here, for whom that is important. And if you don’t like hot spicey food you can also ask for the dish you wish without hot spices.
Fantastic place to have quality food! Every item on their menu was delicious. Yes, we got different meals on their menu and they were delicious. Traveled all the way from Amsterdam (actually from the US) to get myself this!
Great East & West African restaurant, my first time eating Ugandan food. Pamela is a super friendly hostess who was able to tell us all about the different food on the menu. Also a really good selection of drinks available. Vegetable and the beef samosa were excellent 👍🏾👍🏾

I never had African food before, and I am so glad that this was the place I first got to experience it. The food is made fresh so it takes time, but it is surely worth the wait. Also, the amount of food you get is a lot so you can get to take home leftovers. Definitely would recommend that you try it out!

*Update 29/4/23. The restaurant was jam-packed but wow, the service remained perfect. The servers bend over backwards and provided this excellent service with a smile. The dumplings were out of this world and the mapo tofu, super spicy, super delicious* A 5-star PLUS if that's possible! Authentic Sichuan cuisine served in a beautiful restaurant and location with super friendly service to match. It's rare to experience genuine smile from staff in Chinese restaurants!! The food is totally out of this world! If you are unfamiliar with Sichuan food the menu is illustrated with photos and described in English, Dutch and Mandarin. Highly recommended and I shall return soon. For now, Ma Pao tofu as a takeaway to enjoy at home
First time I had a taste of Ugandan food I went for the Egusi with goat meat and yam fufu. The meat was great, and the spices were even better, wih their exquisite aftertaste. Nice atmosphere too. Truly enjoyed it and will certainly return!

I don't know what's wrong with people liking this place, the food is oily and tasteless, the prices are above average for the same food category, they look like they have poor hygiene, you can see the meat with aging marks on the counter, not to mention the poor presentation! I wish they will improve, but for now I don't recommend this place.
When we came the place was not busy ...good...very difficult to get a car parking around the area though.

Really tasty food that was cooked very well. The steak was nice and tender, and the beyti was not too spicy. They do not serve alcohol, but you can forgo that for the quality of the food. As much as I love baklava, I was too full to even try any!

The restaurant is nice and clean and the waiters were friendly and talkative.. They serve halal food. But the food is overrated the meat was ok and the chicken was good. People told me to go because of the spareribs but the spareribs weren’t as good as I’ve heard and read in the comments. I’ve had much better spareribs at other places..

I have a bit trouble rating this place. For the food, I would give it a 4 star, but the service would be 2 stars... It is kind of a pity because of the service I am a bit reluctant to go, but the food is just so delicious! Been here several times, and the experience remain the same. The waiters and waitresses are quite slow and tend to forget things. We ended up waiting a long time for cutlery or the bill. As not all of them are able to speak fluent Dutch or English, many miscommunications occur. For example, you might end up with a different dish than you ordered, and you will get the blame! I guess if you speak Chinese, there will be no problem... And if you are able to overlook these things, you will for sure enjoy the delicious food!

Went here for the first time a few years ago and it was delicious. This time we went with groupon and got the special groupon menu. With the starters there was a chickensalad which had hardly any chicken in it, but the spinache and bell pepper salad were good. Main course lamb was good, but the main course with chicken was to dry. Dessert with ice cream was good. The service was really great and friendly, they were also in for a joke or two.
Beautiful eastern interior with super friendly staff and great food. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Rotterdam! I was unsure to come here because of the lack of reviews at the time, but I eventually decided to take a gamble and did not regret it.
