Starters are oke, steaks are soft but the gravy/oily sauce served with the steaks is terrible and ruins the steak. Food was not served at the same time while place was half empty. Many times the made mistakes with the tables. Bill was served while still eating deserts. Terrible experience for a hefty price. First and definitely last time eating at Loetje. So many places with better service and much better food for this price level. Skip !!
Food takes way too long to be served (over 30 minutes). This is why we were only able to order 4 rounds instead of 5, in the 2 hours. Our orders were also canceled multiple times, and this cost us also time.

Quality of the food is excellent. Service is also good. The only thing I'd change is not counting side dishes as part of your order. Each person can order 4 things per round, but if you want lettuce or another side dish with your meat, you only have 3 choices left.
We went here to celebrate my birthday, and I love it, we got nice cocktails, a good bottle of wine. Staff really had patience with everything because I changed a lot of things a lot of times.. But luckily they were really really nice and patient. The food was delicious and you had many variations. Different type of meats and sushi’s, we had a great evening and for sure will come back!

Great food, very nice staff (4 stars, because it would be nice if they’d check on the guests a little more often). The atmosphere is a bit casual, but I would definitely come here again. The spicy tuna rolls are king!

We tried the Super Sushi menu which is the basic 2-person box. The presentation and packing are very nice, quantity is more than enough as well. The sushi was ok but not outstanding, just according to the price. If you have sushi cravings for eating home is a good option
Extremely overpriced. Dishes are nothing special. They feel premade. Does not at all justify the price that is being asked for them. They have a knack for ruining classic dishes by trying to make them too fancy. Would definitely not recommend.

A place full of life and colorful decorations. The food was tasty and served quickly. Unfortunately, not every person is suitable for working with people. The young lady who served us is one of these people. Apart from this, we will definitely come back. Hoping that there will be someone else on shift :D

We had dinner here before a concert close by. The service was excellent - both the waitress and the timing of the food & drinks. The beef steaks and tuna were perfectly cooked 👌
Ayla is a perfect place to go to if you’re looking for something that feels romantic and special, without it being overly expensive. The concept of shared dining works very well with people you know closely, and the food is very tasty and well-presented. Staff is very friendly and made a few funny jokes. Only point of disappointment was that they brought us a dish we didn’t order and still almost charged us for it, but they very quickly corrected this when we mentioned the mistake.

The fried prawn was oily though. The fried rice was really plain, it lacked ingredients. Uncle Roger would disapprove.
What really showing is that they don't understand what it's like for customer. The pictures on the menu doesn't match with what you get. E.g. the picture of the beef rolls show multiple beef rolls, the name literally says beef ROLLS. But you only get one beef roll. Other dishes like you can get multiple items, so it's really confusing. They have really rough wooden chopsticks. No scissors to cut up the meat.
The beef rolls were fine at first. When you order more, you will get more and more onion instead of enoki mushrooms in the rolls. At the last round, we counted 4 onion pieces in one beef roll.
The unagi sushi was the smallest I've ever seen.
You have to pay additionally for dessert (2 euro for a scoop of icecream).
Some pros: the exhaust is on the side of the grlling area, unlike the pipe in the middle at Korean bbq restaurants. They do constantly change the baking paper. We got extra candies.

I already visited here many times but first time writing a review. I love their food & drinks in general and it has a nice & casual vibe that you can always come by for a drink with small (quality) bites🍷

During our recent visit to Ayla bar restaurant, influenced by its excellent reviews, we faced a slight inconvenience. After making a reservation for 21:30, the restaurant called us on the hour, informing us that the kitchen would close at 22:00. This unexpected news prompted us to arrive earlier. We ordered chicken thighs and stuffed eggplant which costed us 60euro (drinks included).
Unfortunately, the reality fell short of our expectations. The portions were surprisingly small for the price, and the quality of the food was underwhelming. The chicken was served cold and undercooked, while the eggplant's bechamel sauce was uncooked, and the flavors did not meld together well. Although the atmosphere of the restaurant was decent and the staff were friendly, it seemed as though the kitchen had closed early, leaving us with what felt like leftover dishes. A middle-eastern vibe restaurant. Few things to be aware of when visiting this place - a reservation up front is possible via telephone, but make sure you aforemention that you wish to be seated on ground floor or upper floor and not in BASEMENT. As shown in the photos, the basement has 10 tables, but is surrounded by actual kitchen and you can see into it and staff coming and going in and out. It can be a good gag to be seated in the kitchen itself but not here. The food is good, seems authentic, staff is also friendly but just keep away from the basement :) also the corner table is next to a storage room that staff uses frequently, behind the doors with a picture of an african king-of-sorts on it.

Amazing sushi place in Rotterdam. Not only is it absolutely delicious, but the prices are also quite affordable. When we went there, we decided to try out their appetizers and sushi set, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed every single dish. Definitely worth checking out!

Incredible food, fantastic people who run the restaurant. The vegetarian options are fantastic as well, I recommend the Gadu Gadu.

Went here for an early dinner. Was seated promptly but then waited and waited for the server. Once we got menus it took another 10 minutes to get our order in. When we arrived they told us we had the table until 6:30pm. We barely got our food by 6:15 after being there for over an hour.
The food once it arrived was fabulous! My wife had the El Couscous meat and I had a kebab with rice. The mint tea was a refreshing addition to this meal.

I was longing for tahu lontong for quite a long time and I ordered it here, alongside kip curry. Not a typical tahu lontong I had back in Indonesia which was served with peanut sauce (pindakaas), but overall I like the savory soy sauce. The tahu lontong contained lontong (rice cake), bean sprouts and shredded chicken. The curry was just okay, it was served with fried rice.
What made me smile all along was that the seller played Indonesian 'dangdut' music the whole time and even sang along, so the atmosphere was really there. The other foreign buyer seemed to be the regulars, even mentioning 'Didi Kempot', the infamous Indonesian singer.

It's like eating at a good old friend. Beautiful mediterranean ambience. It's a bit pricey but the food and especially the cocktails are worth every penny because every step it takes to make those things are so precisely and with love, you could taste it with every bite and sip.
Good option for Surinames-Chinese food in the south of Rotterdam. Portion sizes are good. Enjoy

Have been waiting for over 2 hours for my wok. I've only ordered for 2 people and still they haven't delivered it. The contact number on the website/thuisbezorgd does not work. I'm not even able to cancel the order.
I've been ordering from Sushi Point for years and have never had any complaints until yesterday. In comparison to all the tasty and fresh food we've gotten previous times from them, when our order arrived the sushi did not look as fresh as usual. The rice was discoloured, the avocado was brown and it overall looked stale and old. I tried my sushi and it tasted off, my partner did the same with the same result. We called them and they sent us the same order anew for free. I appreciate that but at this point it didn't matter because the damage was done. Soon after, from 3 pieced of bad sushi I had to spend the night in the toilet. Now is the next day and I'm still sick from it.
As someone that has been a happy customer for so long, you've lost my trust and just because of that one time we will not be ordering from Sushi Point ever again.

This is my second time here. Location is very nice, the food and service were great. I had the Bali steak, it was a little bit on the salty side, but I still love the taste and the meat itself. Came here on my birthday and they gave me a big candle.

Surprisingly good and affordable. They have deals that i highly recommend, which makes it quite affordable compared to other sushi places. It’s close to central so the location is very convenient. It’s not very crowded so you can just walk in, no need for a reservation in my opinion. The sushi is tasty and service is very fast. We received our order 5-10 minutes after we ordered. Recommend it if you wanna have some sushi but don’t want to spend a lot!

The steaks were some of the very best we've had in Rotterdam* Lunch on June 8, 2021. The beefsteak salad with peanut dressing was out of this world. The chunks of steak were tender and scrumptious. Excellent service, reasonably priced, beautiful location. Highly recommended!

I did not have extremely high standards for this sushi and it was relatively inexpensive, but I was really disappointed that the avocado used in all my sushi rolls was rock hard and unripe. I am not being overly dramatic- I literally could not pierce the avocado with my chopstick, it was that hard. I think it is unacceptable to use severely unripe avocado like this as it ruins the taste/texture of the entire roll, and having relatively soft avocado is like the baseline for sushi. Sad to have spent 40+ euro on a box in which some rolls were completely inedible due to the crunchy avocado.

WOW! I mean literally. Just got back, and bit into the Pide. Amazingly fresh Pide with that slight clay oven taste. Thank you for the brilliant food. The gehakt and cheese along with the spinach and feta were out of this world! Will be eating here again!

So lovely restaurant where you don't have to wait so long for the order. Reservation is not necessary. Parking is available using a parking lot nearby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is really delicious. Wheelchair entrance accessible. Restaurant has inside and outside seating. Located at the old port of Rotterdam. Highly recommended.
I have to admit that i really enjoyed this food. The fact that I wasn't expecting this restaurant to be so warming, because from the outside it looks smaller then what I expected. The cultural music wonderful. Made me feel for a moment I wasn't in Holland. The waiter was very friendly. Food was delicious. Usually if I do not like the food, I'll leave some over. And the prices to me are affordable for such a good meal.

Been here a couple of times. The steak was delicious. I usually take the Bali flavour.
The mood is great. Make sure to call ahead to reserve or go early to have seats.

Great value for money!!!!!! Check out the menu for €13. If your with two persons check out the menu for €20. Amazing value and friendly staff. Great surinamese food.
Terrible experiance,I definitely do not recommend this restuarant. I have waited for my order for more than 2 hours, in the meantime I have called twice and was lied to about that delivery.As a cherry on the cake comes a fact that main office called me to apologize next day (very thoughtful) and they offered voucher, which never came, also email to ask what happened was never answered.
Nice sushi that is fairly priced too. Fresh ingredients and nice presentation of sushi.

Little expensive but ultra fast and absolutely delicious!! Isn't so friendly if you have allergies and intolerances due to cross contamination.

Apparently there was a mix up and my order wasn't in the computer (so I'm not sure why the other person told me my order was coming). They were actually very nice about it and gave me extra sushi.
