Cappuccino: gegen Ende etwas wässrig, sehr mild, ausgewogen, Haselnuss. Minus: Milchalternativen kosten extra. Der Service ist ausbaufähig. Auf den Mitarbeiter musste jedes Mal proaktiv zugegangen werden.
Excellent Turkish cuisine. Rack of lamb was the best. Service was excellent as well. Fine dining atmosphere from the greeting to departure.
Netter Gastgeber, sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer! Trotz Lage an der Hauptstraße eine ruhige Nacht gehabt. Frühstücksbuffet ab 07:00 Uhr war auch super.

I ate dinner here at my last day on vacation here in Essen. The ambiance looks warm and comfortable. The food was delicious and had big portions. I especially loved the garlic aioli that came with the fries. Also, the staff was nice and at was fairly quick to fulfill my order but after, I had to wait for more than 30 mins to get the dessert I ordered. It was fairly busy so I just kinda understood why it took so long. I was also hoping they would offer me a bag for my takeout order since I had a few boxes but I don't know if I should have asked for it instead. Overall a fairly good experience. I might come back the next time I'm in Essen.

Kürbissuppe und Rucola-Salat mit Ziegenkäse waren durchaus ansprechend und lecker. Sehr schneller und freundlicher Service. Die Preise sind jedoch deutlich überteuert!

Es war wieder einmal ein wunderschöner Abend. Super Essen , sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung.
Good atmosphere inside, not loud music and pretty chill and dark. Food in general was tasty, but Fajitas with steaks and chicken had a really small amount of meat (can see on picture), mostly veggies, isn't worth the price. Keep in mind you are also only getting 4 pieces of small tortillas, so u will be left with a decent amount of lefover fillings for them. The burger was big, juicy, spicy and tasted well. Cappuccino being served prettily.
Nice place, but not so nice food. We ordered scrabbled eggs and pancakes. The eggs were ok, but the pancakes were tasteless and heavy.
Fajitas with over-microwaved tortillas, platters without corn on the cob, food very slow and not particularly good. I would not come here again.

It's a Mexican style German Restaurant where you can relax in an informal place with friends drinking a good beer. Staff is kind, we were lot of people without reservation but we got the table in the main room..probably they have few people in the kitchen then to get the food we waited quite a lot but, overall was a pleasant stay. Food is OK, cold beer more. OK with friends, right in the calm city centre of the lazy Essen😅

I dined at Sausalitos in Essen with a group of six colleagues at 8:40 PM. We had ordere for 5 beers and some hamburgers. Unfortunately, the beers took over 40 minutes to arrive, and when we asked about our hamburgers after roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes, we were told that there were many tables to serve, and we'd have to wait longer. It became clear why so many people were leaving. Frustrated, we decided to request the bill and expressed our intention to leave. One waiter in German dismissively said, "It doesn't matter if they're leaving."
I can confirm a disappointing lack of courtesy and professionalism. The staff seemed underqualified when it comes to customer service. I strongly recommend that the owner take steps to better train and manage their employees. I would not recommend this establishment.

Really enjoyed this place. My daughter has many food allergies, and the chef took special care of them (and even spoke to us about the allergies before the meal). Really appreciated it.

The food was good. Service was good. Was not too crowded so got a place very quickly. It's a good place and is little expensive but if planning for a special day or so, its a good place to add to the day plan.

Stilvolles Café-Restaurant direkt am Folkwankmuseum. Gute Atmosphäre, stilvoll aber modern. Aufmerksames zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr leckere ausgewählte Speisen, Kuchenbüffet, große Getränkeauswahl. Sitzmöglichkeiten im Innen- und Außenbereich laden zum Verweilen ein.
Also uns hat es gut geschmeckt, auch wenn preislich durchaus ambitioniert. Service vollkommen in Ordnung.
The food is ok the portions are big and the service is fast unfortunately they use many prepared items and the guacamole was bought. The cocktails, virgin or not we're fabulous. The decorations are cool and the outside seeding was in a nice ambient lighting. All in all if you want texmex it is ok if you want a cool bar with great cocktails and snacks perfect
We enjoyed a lunch before visiting Folkwang Museum. Service could be improved: more friendlyness, more patience.
Very good hotel. Nice breakfast, good gym , sauna and steam room. Quiet environment with plenty car park spaces.
Unfortunately car park is not free to guests.

No air conditioning in the room and no signal for phones so could only use hotel wifi. Beds were ok but on the second day there was no hot water and couldn’t take a shower. There was a hole in the ceiling of the corridor and water was leaking.
Beautiful hotel, huge. Has pool and bar. The only complaint is that rooms too warm, no air conditioning.

An amazing place, whether for a drink or a meal, this place offers a lot of options.

The Nachos Original were very delicious and crunchy.
The Crispy Chicken Caesar Tacos were very tasty but small.
The Fajita Pollo Poblano portion was very big but very delicious.
The San Francisco cocktail was very refreshing.

So ein nettes Ambiente - dafür gebe ich gerne 4 Sterne. Alles andere war leider sehr dürftig, vor allem bei diesen doch sehr gesalzenen Preisen. Die Gemüsequiche war labberig, der Salat in Fertig-Dressing ertränkt. Der Service war eigentlich nicht vorhanden und dazu auch noch ganz schön überheblich. Ein zweites Getränk gab es nicht (ich habe dann aufgegeben, auf mich aufmerksam zu machen). Schade. Ich komme nicht wieder.
I had a bbq chicken big nacho dish which came within 10 minutes but it was not yet fully warm. And it did not taste like bbq sauce. My corn on the cop was good and big. The enchillada was good. A pity that the food was not to full satisfaction.
Excellent very large room, bath with tub and bidet, water in the room.. really lined it. Interiors quite dated but the room size, couple with the fact of large windows overlooking dense green trees, this is a 5 star review

Un personnel à l’écoute et toujours disponible dans cet immense hôtel atypique. Une très bonne surprise en définitive pour mon premier séjour en Allemagne 🇩🇪
We had a hotel room here as well as another hotel which worked out great as the room here was a little on the small side. The breakfast room was hectic to say the least and the lack of clean tables a little annoying. There was an event on here which we attended which was great as events go So the hotel may have been a little busier than normal.

Ich muss mich hier einigen Kommentaren anschließen. 18€ für einen Eiscafé und eine Eisschokolade ist absurd für diese schlechte Qualität. Auch der Kellner war sehr unhöflich auch etwas Respektlos.

A nice place outside. In the cool season, you can choose a blanket to cover yourself. Cappuccino and Coffee were good. The price was in the normal range. Only, the way to the toilets seemed endless. In total a positive visit. Thanks
One of the worst dining experiences. Fish is slightly below average. Chicken for my daughter was bone dry and hard like rock, she can’t even swallow it. Very small portion, portion for side dish is a joke. Fine dining price, but food is a huge disappointment. 100% overpriced! Dorade is the cheapest fish on the menu with 30 euro. Other fish like Steinbut or Loup de mar costs 40 to 50 euro. The average price of main course is over 40 euro.
We have 5 people including one kid, none of us were satisfied.
The management concept is a total rip off.
The only highlight was the bread serving at the beginning and the decoration of the restaurant.

Mooie lokatie naast het museum. Van buiten ziet het restaurant er mooi uit. Helaas valt het kille ontvangst en het onvriendelijke personeel tegen. Ook de prijs is zwaar overtrokken, een cappuccino € 4,20 en kopje heet water, thee dus € 3,90. Ik zou op zoek gaan naar een ander leuk etablissement!! Geen aanrader.
Nice Turkish or Mediterranean fine dine restaurant. The food is nice. Lots of options for Vegan and vegetarian pallete as well. They have nice selection of wine. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall was really nice experience.

Magical spot in Essen. Close to the main train station, this restaurant has exceptional quality and service. The fish is fresh, the lamb outstanding and the starters out of this world. The staff is kind and goes above and beyond to help an untrained german speaker as myself to have a great experience. Super recommended.

The place is really cozy and is perfect for a nice breakfast or brunch. The menu offers also vegan options. There is also a breakfast buffet. Good prices and excellent service.
I loved the vibe, the music and the drinks. The price was very high though. Two cocktails (small) and some fries cost us 30 euros.
Highlights: incredible decoration of interior and exterior seating, good value for money, x-cut chips with red pepper mayo (11/10 would recommend)!!! and friendly customer service
Could be better: I don't recommend the crispy fried chicken sticks, and the mint hot chocolate was a little too lukewarm for my taste, but other than this, the brunch meal was great! Might go again :)

Excellent food without any doubt. Simply fresh and delicious. Staff are very friendly of course. However the kitchen seemed to have trouble keeping up to pace although the restaurant was only half full. Had to wait almost an hour for the main meal
It was not a good hotel. I will not suggest anyone to stay in this hotel.

Mister Kunac is one of Europe best managers in his job. It is privilege to eat in hos restaurant. Highly recommended!
Erst wurde das falsche Wasser geliefert (mit statt ohne Kohlensäure). Mein Latte kam ohne Zucker, nachdem ich nachgefragt habe wurde mir versprochen das er mir gebracht wird, dies passiert 20 Minuten nicht. Auf die Rechnung haben wir dann nochmal 20 Minuten gewartet und sind dann schließlich zur Bar gegangen um dort zu bezahlen. Nicht zu empfehlen.
Absoluter Geheimtipp, wenn man einen abwechslungsreichen Mittagstisch sucht und keine Lust auf die einseitigen Fastfoodbuden in der Innenstadt hat.
