Great food, good location, but poor service. We ordered several dishes, spicy chicken cartilage, crispy beef, and shrimp skewer, which were all delicious. However, our order for chicken dumplings was forgotten, and we waited a long time without any communication from the staff. Good food, but they need to improve their service.

Wanted to see how this place compared to other hand pulled noodle restaurants that I've tried. Overall I'd say the noodles are decent, and the soup is good. The value for money here is fantastic and dishes are quite cheap. I think this place is probably more notable for side dishes from what I've heard, and we tried the sesame pancake with beef which was delicious.
it's just horrible, we wanted to try chinese food and it was a terrible experience, we came and ordered a meal for me chicken in sauce and for my husband a dinner for one person, first they brought 4 dumplings with cabbage, although the soup should have come first! My husband started eating and I was sitting without my food, THE MAIN DISHES MUST BE BROUGHT AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! when I asked about the soup, the waiter started shouting that there should not have been 4 flatbreads but 1 and soup and snatched the food from my husband's hands and nothing explained! In adequate cafes, if the waiter has already made a mistake, he must apologize to the guests and calmly explain the situation and not snatch the food from his hands!!! Then he brought this soup and my food, but there was no longer any desire to be in this cafe and eat this food, it was just a desire ,so we left! this is the bottom!

Hands down, the best dim sum place in the town! Their dim sums are amazingly delicious. The service is great, i also like their tea and hot sauce. Har gow, shiu mai, shrimp rice roll, bbq pork bun, deep fried squid are my all-time favourites! Their regular food other than dim sum are also very good. Highly recommend this place!

Whenever I’m traveling to a city with a Chinatown, I always have to check it out. Toronto’s is quite unique and I appreciate how big it is! Just off the main drag is Rol San. I love that they serve dim sum all day. And it’s not some limited menu/reheated stuff. You get the full dim sum experience until midnight here! The food comes out hot and steamy and they have a great selection. Steamed to order! Rol San is on most “Top 10 Lists” of places to eat in Toronto’s Chinatown and it’s not hard to see why.

This place is great! Food is great value and great taste! Don’t taste artificial additives as they advertised! Both the braised pork and beef stew are amazing! Would definitely revisit!

My new go to spot for noodle soups! The broth was a perfect balance of umami and tang (tomato broth) and I absolutely loved the toppings. The complimentary salted roasted peanuts reminded me of being in China and was a wonderful snack prior to our meal. Our server was super warm and kind too 😊

Good value for money. Portions were huge. Dim sum so so but passable. The beef brisket & tendon noodles are the star, very tasty and tender. Wonton noodle ok. Did not try their BBQs but they have 油條,牛脷酥 and 鹹煎餅 also。cash only. Friendly & fast service

Sooo good, a small restaurant downstairs on Huron street, just off of Dundas. We spoke English but the lady serving us was super nice and explained the dishes to us.

We got the pan fried dumplings, pan fried Bao, onion pancakes, and ja jang noodles with pork.

Some of the best Chinese food I had in a while, everything was a hit. The pancakes were so crispy, the dumplings and buns were properly seasoned without a lot (or any?) of msg. Noodles were also super delicious. I could tell that everything was homemade! If the flavours are too mild, you can add vinegar/soy/chili oil self serve.

Highly recommend you try out a variety of dishes from the menu!
Old school spot for value eats.

Ordered the BBQ pork, brisket, and wonton noodle soup. The BBQ pork was tough and rubbery but the rest of the dish was fantastic. Loved the broth.

Pan fried buns weren't good at all and just doughy. Turnip cakes were great and so were the har gow.

3.5 for the food, 4 for everything else.

Cash only!

The customer service was extremely poor. The staff members were impolite, and when we sat down, they showed no interest in our table. We patiently waited for someone to approach us so we could order more, but they consistently ignored us. One of the staff members appeared constantly unhappy and even raised his voice at a nearby table. Furthermore, the food was only mediocre. When we ordered the Peking duck, the wraps were chewy and served lukewarm. The steamed fish also arrived with missing parts and looked unappetizing.

Among the busiest restaurants in Toronto’s bustling Chinatown, its specialty dishes are the outstanding beef and tripe noodles equal to the best in Hong Kong. Packed throughout the day, patience needed for a scarce table while you enjoy the Chinatown buzz.

This place is a gem! We ordered hand-pulled ramen with brisket and another one with beef offal. The portion is humongous. Generous noodles and meat, and the price is so reasonable $11.99 ! It's hard to beat this price. The noodles are freshly pulled and you can choose the width too. The soup broth taste clean and flavorful without the taste of loaded with msg. I highly recommend this place. Lots of Sichuan food selection too.

Believe these reviews.. UNBELIEVABLE FOOD. Flavour, value, authenticity. True Chinese food teeming with freshness and succulence. The entire trip to Toronto was made by this restaurant. WAIT THE 15-30 MINUTES INSTEAD OF GOING NEXT DOOR OR ELSEWHERE. Promise it is so worth it.

The balance of garlics and chiles and ginger and umami and everything in every dish was simply PERFECT. Best Chinese food in Canada swear to god.
I’ve been to this place a couple times and enjoy it! We got the Gong-Bao Chicken over Rice and the Pork and Chive steamed dumpling. The chicken’s sauce was delicious and the veggies and chicken was done well. The dumplings are made fresh to order and were juicy with some nice flavour! I love their chilli sauce.

The prices are reasonable and this place is cash only. The downside is that there is no AC, so it was super hot.
It's close to authentic northern Chinese breakfast, but a little too salty for our tastes. The youtiao was a highlight. Food was ready pretty fast, less than 10 minutes.
Best pork belly in downtown. Char siu and soy sauce chicken are good too!

The rice noodles and soup seems to be placed for a long time before they deliver to my table. I think the food is not fresh enough. The combination of rice noodles is also weird. I am a big fan of rice noodles and I have tried many rice noodles in many cities. But it’s my first time to see broccoli with rice noodles. The deep-fried tofu is crispy but the sauce doesn’t fit its taste. The portion of food is big and the service is good as they refill my water very often. But I was disappointed as the only delicious food was the free peanuts they gave me.

We got super lucky with parking right in front of the restaurant. Food was good. We sat by the window, so it got hot. Unless they were dropping off food, we didn’t see much of them. Needed water more often. Food was piping hot and delicious.

Decent food, restaurant on smaller side and typical prices for downtown restaurant.

Not very greasy which is nice!

For 5 people it was around $30 with tips
The owner was nice and let us in 15 minutes before the opening. However, the food was okay, the juicy dumplings had a lot of juice but missing the taste, not enough flavor. Cucumber salad was refreshing but not enough salt/soy sauce.

I love this place. Around $15 for a create your own noodle but the portions were really big so me and my friend shared one. We got the crispy chicken. The chicken was a bit off but the broth was delicious. There’s unlimited refills but it only refills the noodles. The waiter was super nice. The restaurant was super clean. Overall great place.

All handmade - skin, filling, & even the mincing of the meats!

Taste is mild like grandma made it.

Ordered:
Chicken, Bamboo Shoot, & Wood Ear 🥟
Pork & Green Onion Bun-Cake (texture wise)
Chives & Egg Pockets <— BEST!
Real hand-made dumplings that taste amazing. A cozy and family own place with good vibes.
The place is very small so in busy hours the line is outside. It could be a little bit cleaner, and I think it's time to leave the disposable behind.
Given the amount of food we ordered, they were served really fast. It was piping hot, the dumplings were amazing. We could not finish the fried rice, I feel like it can be shared with 3 people. The custard buns, even though we were so full, was absolutely worth it. It was warm and soft. Also the chilli oil here is legit spicy (we loved it). The service was really nice too, they include the tip (15%) with the bill. The place was busy, on a weekday, but didn't have to wait that long for the seats

One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in Toronto. The portion size is slightly smaller than House of Gourmet but the quality and freshness of their ingredients are much better. Service has been superb and consistent every time I've been there.

Other reviews are right on the money here - this is a good Chinese spot that's neither too impressive nor terrible. The dim sum is a grade higher than what you get from casual takeout but nothing too mindblowing.

The restaurant's most popular dish is the xiao long bao or soup dumplings. The skin is not as thick as Juicy Dumplings and the broth is better, but it's probably not worth the extra price.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed the house fried rice most. Sure it was greasy as heck, but it was delicious and full of flavour.

Overall, a decent option for Chinese cuisine but with so many options in Chinatown, I'm not sure what will draw me back.
Saddest egg fried rice ever ! Period.
Any Chinese restaurant that makes this bad an egg fried rice should never be allowed to be serve food.

Attached pics for reference. It was just some dry rice & microscopic specks of egg at 14.50, woah !
I had some kind of crispy tofu with mushrooms, and it was AMAZING! I wasn't expecting anything going to eat there, but let me tell you that I was in for a wonderful surprise. The staff who work there is amazing. Upon leaving, they give you a candy. I asked if I could have one for each of my children, and the owner (I think) gave me a huge handful of candies plus three lollipops.
If ever I go back to Toronto, I'm definitely going back to this restaurant!
We ordered scallops, sizzling beef, and fried rice. The portion was big and the scallops were fresh. The bread nest for the scallops was very interesting, but crunchy and delicious. The beef was good but the fried rice was okay.

I order the classic ramen noodle as stated on the first page but it proved to be a mistake. The 2.5 mm noodle becomes something like 4mm and is not easy to chew. The beef brisket is decent and the broth is very average. If the ramen has more finely chiseled green onion and some fried garlic it would taste much better. Overall, its a ok.

I actually came here after being disheartened that a cafe was full. I was stressed for studying but I was also hungry. And then I walked by here. It isn’t very intimidating or does it stand out, but it’s this little store down the stairs.

But hey- those usually turn out to be the best places. This was dead of winter mind you, and so I decided to get my favourite dumplings, xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and another thing to warm up, simple, good egg drop soup- simplest of the soups, and yet the most heartwarming.

It was good is all I can say. Dumplings were one of the best in town, and it’s hard to get good soup dumplings.

The staff has a language barrier, but that’s okay it really didn’t change anything. In fact, made moments more endearing because we’d work harder to communicate with one another, but also was oddly easy to understand through their warmth.

You write your order on a paper, which I almost felt bad for using, being a solo eater, but it made things quick and efficient. They didn’t mind if I watched a video as I ate, it was chill and they weren’t in a rush to push people out the door.

I’ll be back here again for sure, thank you for having me :)

I liked to try Dum Sum place at China town when I visit a big city such as New York and Chicago. Since I got to know that Toronto has one of the biggest China town in North America, I googled this place and visited with my family. All of my family surprised with the quality and the taste of the food. They were really good. I was very satisfied with their service and cleanness too. I used street parking. It was Sunday and not to bad to find a spot.

This review is based on the new location for the restaurant. The old location used to be probably my favourite dim sum spot downtown and one of the better quality spots. Sadly since they moved it has definitely gone downhill.

The first thing I’ll say is that the decor on the walls of the new location is much nicer than previously. It looks more upscale than before and less like a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. But that’s basically where the improvements end. The chairs are actually cheaper and made of plastic as opposed to their old metal chairs. Sadly it also seems that the food quality has definitely gone down. Are used to really enjoy the location and it was slightly more expensive than most other dim sum places but the food was way better so it was worth it. Now it seems the prices have gone up and most of their dim sum dishes cost between seven and eight dollars. But their quality has gone down and the size and cautions up their food have also gone down. The food is pretty bland without much flavor. The portion sizes are quite small. I’ve posted two pictures, one of their deep fried squid tentacles and one of their baby beef. Both dishes were eight dollars and you can see pretty tiny portions compared to most dim sum places. The hot sauce taste more sweet and spicy and you can tell they are definitely not using the typical hot sauce. The service was slow and not great.

Worst of all even though they don’t tell you at the start they charge you an automatic 15% gratuity on every bill no matter how many people. Whether it’s two or eight people there is an automatic gratuity on the bill. All in all it is definitely worse than it used to be and I likely won’t be returning. Ironically the gratuity they charge is 15% which is less than most restaurants and probably less than I would’ve normally tipped but I don’t like being forced to tip automatically on the bill. Also if you are not paying attention you will likely double tip even though it is written on the bill that they do charge gratuity automatically but it is not written on the menu or anywhere else. They also only take cash and Visa but no MasterCard which is a little unusual. There are definitely better dim sum restaurants in Toronto especially if you go into suburbs but now even downtown in Chinatown like dim sum king

This place has been on my radar for some time but i just never got around to coming until my uncle's wife suggested coming over.

The beef soup noodles did not disappoint. The rich broth with thick noodle and tender beef. Not bad for beef noodles that I've had in Toronto!

Xiaolungbao, the soup dumplings (not featured in pic) were delicious as were the other Shanghainese dishes we ordered.

Hands down best juicy pork bun also called xiao long dang bao. One of the best Northern Chinese Restaurant in town.
The only place that might make it better than this place is a 3 star Michelin restaurant in San Francisco.
For this price it's best to have it here.
The owner is very friendly and sweet.
They only take cash or debit card.
From noodles to dumplings and pies it's all so tasty.
It really brought me back to my childhood living back home in China.
Everytime I come to Toronto I have to walk 23 mins to come here and eat at least 3 to 5 times while I am here.
I took some pictures and those are the ones I definitely recommend to try.

One of the best places to get filling, flavourful, delicious, comforting chinese noodles. Mild numbing and mild spicy is already a kick, and the egg noodle are soft, chewy, and delicious. The meat is so good, quite a bit of fat but that’s still so delicious. Very very very filling. The broth is so intense, I love it. Plus, unlimited noodle refills!!!!!! I recommend to finish the noodles first, some meats then get a refill of the noodles, then finish everything off including the meat. Then you basically get really really realllyyyy delicious bowls of noodles. Ugh such a comfort food I love it. And the fried chicken is ohhhhh sooooo goood, juicy tender and so flavourful!!! My favourite part has to be the eggs though. The soy sauce eggs (comes with noodles but we got extra) were SO GOOD. I loved every bit of this meal. Highly recommend coming here!!!! Reasonably priced for how much food you get!

Had the beef brisket and pork belly bowls with side cucumber and dumplings. Also had a passion fruit lime drink. Delicious bowls and perfect spice. The atmosphere was very nice. Just get the mild if you're looking for good spice because any spicier is too spicy. Great meat portions and overall good service. Will be back again.
Well, it's definitely just a good old dim sum spot. This is the spot for dim sum in the city, apparently, and it lives up to the hype I'd say. Don't expect anything more than your average service and atmosphere at any other dim sum spot but the food is on point. Very cheap, great portion sizes and a pretty important part for me is cleanliness especially in the kitchen and it didn't dissapoint.

Great service and amazing food! It was super quick and really cheap. THESE PORTIONS ARE VERY FILLING. You do not need to order much more than a bowl of noodles because it's such a large portion. I highly recommend coming to this place and it did seem quite popular when we went. The lamb skweres are out of the world! Great experience here!
Cool place, you can watch them make the dumplings right in front of you. I ordered the vegetable pam fried dumplings and they were top notch! Nice to see a cash business - atleast we know they will be open even if the internet goes down like it did 2 years ago! Smart business not going cashless!

Their new location has very good atmosphere and is still definitely very busy.

The dim sum is very authentic and probably the best you could get downtown.

There is a mandatory $1.5 tea fee (standard for dim sum spots) and a mandatory 15% tip that is included in your bill. We ordered enough for a bit of leftovers and spent $40 per person. Definitely a bit on the expensive side for dim sum but the location can’t be beat.
This is a spacious restaurant but gets very busy on the weekend. Nevertheless, their service is quick. They don't make you wait more than 15 minutes for your food. The good has decent portions and is good value for money. It is also fairly authentic but they could do with adding less oil. Overall, you won't be disappointed. Remember, this is cash only.

Came here to grab a light snack so I ordered a regular fruit tea, wonton soup and spicy cucumbers and tofu skin. Everything tasted so delicious and savoury. If you can’t take spice, I recommend getting everything in mild otherwise, be ready to numb your mouth.

Our waitress was also very nice, food came 6-7 minutes after we ordered and she gave us a whole jug of water (good thing because it was so hot today).

Pros: Free WiFi, unlimited noodles refill and the broth was AMAZING. Not too heavy and not too salty.

Cons: Debit or cash only.

One of the best dumpling places I’ve been to in Toronto, and I’ve been to many. But, your expectations can’t be high for overall experience.

Agree with other reviews, the only cash option makes it a bit difficult to be accessible to everyone. The restaurant itself is crammed with supplies. But their market scheme of the lady in the window hand making dumplings got me.

I always try the classic pork and chive dumpling every place I go. And I was not disappointed. Took about 10 minutes after ordering to arrive at my table. The “dumpling skirt” fried around the dumplings make for a great crunch and fantastic eating experience. Tasty filling, good chew, and a crispy side. All make for a perfect dumpling.

Give the place a try, definitely worth it.
Super authentic Tianjin breakfast and brunch place.
I been here a few times now and I will keep flying back to Canada Toronto to visit this place.
The owner is actually from the same area as where I grew up as a child. Very nice guy, I can see how some people might mistaken his northern attitude as mean or rude.

❤️Tip❤️ make sure you bring cash and wechat.

Here are some must try good from here!!
1. Crepe (jian bing Guo zi)
2. Fried cruller (you tiao) and non sweet soy milk
3. Won tons (hun tun)
4. Fried lotus root
5. Tianjin Baos (green bean pork and pork onion)

Here are a few to start you with.
Let me know what you think.
Very friendly, great customer service, cheaper than most places in the area. We normally don’t go here but decided to try somewhere different. Everyone was very happy with Thierry meal and we have decided this is our new go to spot. Their bbq meats are excellent, veggies are fresh. They take cash or you can pay by e transfer. Will go again.

I got the classic beef noodle, and I found it very average. Broth was yummy but noodles were not chewy at all. The noodles looked hand-pulled but did not taste like it. The beef slices were too dry but that can be a personal preference. The radish slices were kind of undercooked so was hard to chew.
Service was quick and portion was large, good value for the price.
Overall I much prefer Four Four South Village or Hey Noodle.
Great place for comfort food. Cash only but you can use WeChat Pay.
A great place to get fresh and authentic dumplings, handmade right in the window! Also got these house special noodles and they were amazing. Portions are quiet generous and appropriately priced. This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere for late in the evening. Would highly recommend 🥟
Amazing bbq duck and portions. I got the bbq duck with rice. Tried the noodle soup with duck leg and wonton - which was amazing! The soup base was very flavourful and wontons were outta this world. Bbq duck was very good but I was given mostly bone and cartilage which is a shame—but it speaks to the cheap prices. Did not expect much as asian restaurant service isnt amazing but the staff were quite inattentive; you had to flag them down a few times for soy sauce/tea/water/utensils.

At the end, the bill was written in chicken scratch and not legible; so you literally dont know what you’re paying for. They also made us tip 10% on top of paying only in cash but they included taxes?????
LOVE IT. Street parking is a b*tch (cad$4/hour) but this spot is so worth it. I should’ve rated it 4 ⭐️ coz the service wasn’t the best BUT that’s how it is in Cantonese restaurants… if the service is good then it ain’t authentic.

While you are here… and still have time with your parking… drop by the souvenir shops and the asian supermarket.

Wash rooms are available and they give ice water!! ❤️

Tip you server well coz you do wanna come back to this spot.

The staff is very friendlyis and patient. It's fun to put the ingredients into the stone pot on your own, the amount of rice noodles is ample, and you can add rice noodles for free if you don't have enough, is FOR FREE! The snacks are also very tasty; I particularly enjoy the fried cuttlefish balls and fried tempura, and the crisp tofu. I will definitely return when i go to downtown!
These dumplings definitely live up to the name! Fantastic chicken and fungus fried dumplings, and the stuffed pork and chive pancakes were great too. $28 all in for enough food for two, and they even gave me a bottle of water for my panting doggo. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to try some more of their menu very soon!

The broth for this noodle soup was outstanding. If I lived close by, I would return multiple times each week for what was the most delicious noodle soup I have had in a long time. I shared the brisket soup bowl which was plentiful and yummy dumplings. Friendly staff. Clean. Good, efficient service.
This place dishes out old school Hong Kong food. As someone of HK origin, I have to come check this place out but this tiny restaurant always has a long line outside!

Is it gourmet? Not exactly but it does a great job capturing and recreating the essential HK tastes and experience. The food is good and plentiful but quite salty. Will be happy to come back.

Great food and service! You can basically order anything and they are all good!
P.S. recommend to start with mild spicy, if you want to try spicy but don’t wanna go too far
Food was solidly good, nothing special but it was tasty and filling.

Service was terrible with taking 20 minutes to get water and no tea after asking. Even one fork they gave us was crusty and gross.

Restaurant was loud and didn't have good music.

Decent choice if starving and things are closed but not a first choice.
It was an extraordinary experience. The foods were put together very well and the side dishes were amazing 😋. P.S I highly recommend you come here because of the big quantities and the cheap prices! (Check it out!)

This place is really bad. I trusted the Google reviews. Either people in Canada have no taste in food or just seriously rich af 😆
We paid roughly $65 for 2 person. We could have eaten a sushi buffet in that.
1. Extremely outrageous price for small quantity. I was surprised to find how much I got for this price.
2. Food does NOT look like is made with love. The taste of the food was Mehhh…
3. Customer service!! I Asked them about a specific noodle and they gave a different one and say they can’t change.

Not the best Saturday and experience for us.
I hope this help you if you rely on reviews like us.
One of the best restaurants in downtown Toronto. The very authentic Sichuan style cuisines that I love. Consistently driver tasty and fresh food!
Found this cute family-run restaurant where you can watch the ladies whip out tons of dumplings effortlessly. We got the noodles, hot and sour soup and potstickers. The noodle dish and soup were really good but the potstickers weren’t that great. The skin was a tad too chewy and the filling was quite bland. Service was great though. It’s also cash only but they do have an ATM machine inside of the restaurant.
A Toronto institution for dumplings in China town. The chefs are making the dumplings in the front window right when you enter. Pretty modest set up for the dinning room. The restaurant is cash only (don’t worry they will remind you 5x while seating you), they do have an ATM available. We had the famous pan fried dumplings, we had the chicken. It was really great, perfect textures and big portion size. We also had the beef noodles, pretty good. No complaints. Would like to come back and try more dumplings. I think it was $15 for 12 pan fried.

Small little dining place. Quick service and clean. The best part is one can refill their noodles. Quantity is too good for one person. Their make your own noodle bowl is great! We also tried the dry noodles with fried salty chicken which was good. Would definitely recommend coming and trying it out!
Good, quick Chinese food! Big portions and fast service. The beef chow mein was the best. General Tao chicken was too sweet.
Best hidden gem in chinatown, make sure you bring cash, and the server's English is non existent. Food is amazing, fairly priced. Always so full.
Our dinner at Dumpling House was just a regular dinner. Nothing overly good or bad.

We got the mix of pork chive, shrimp, and chicken pan fried dumplings, and fried rice.
While the dumplings were good, the rice was pretty subpar.

The server initially seated us in front of the stairs that lead down to washroom, and it smelled very strong of the chemical/washroom smell.
So we asked if we can seat elsewhere and did.
The dishes (Shanghai noodles, general tao chicken, etc.) are good portion wise but certain elements (larger noodles for the Shanghai noodles) could be changed. However, they do have great tasting dumplings with bonus cabbage on the side!

I had the Kimchi Cabbage Soup and it was delicious. The serving is interesting and can add whatever you like to the soup. Even though I was a little afraid at the beginning because it didn't smell very attractive, it tasted great. The interior of the restaurant is simple, but the service is fast and very kind. There is not possible to pay by a credit card, only a debit card, and sometimes they have a problem with that as well.

Got the lunch combo for $15.99 with a noodle, snack and soft drink. Tom yum is very tasty, perfect amount of spice and sourness. Octopus balls were really crispy and delicious! The best part is the free roasted and salted peanuts and their service is so friendly!
Authentic, tasty flavors (yummy like the name!) and a warm, homey vibe make this tiny spot worth a visit. Dumplings, pancakes, noodles and a few dim sum items are available all the time. Dumplings can be boiled, steamed or fried plus there are soup dumplings. Vegetables with garlic was outstanding. Prices are reasonable.
I have gone to this place multiple times to eat dumplings. First time I tried hot and sour soup, pork noodles and garlic bol choy! I think I will order these again and again now. Soup was good enough for two. Very yummy! More reasons to return

The noodle is good you can pick the type of noodles you want and how spicy you want it to be. It’s just a bit pricy with only two pieces of pork belly which also had a lot of fat and tastes okay to me. The environment and decorations are nice.

Another Cash Only Chinese restaurant. It does not make any sense!!! Anyways, The bean curd and the stuffed green pepper were our favourites. Delish! The fried rice was pretty bland though, no flavour! The vermicelli and vegetables was just Ok, the sauce was pretty bland too, no flavour either. The spring rolls were tasty but they were drenched in oil.
My boyfriend loves this place and now I finally understand why. Pleasantly surprised. Steamed buns were great! And the 'sandwich' was good too, spices I've never had before. Next time we come to Toronto I will be more excited to come back here too.

Wonderful place if you want their steamed soup dumplings which they are very much known for. The food overall is good - the atmosphere is not as good as some of their larger locations in Markham.
Very delicious ! Keeps the traditional taste! I believe that I will come next time soon! 美味&正宗!👍👍
Have been coming here since opening. Lately the temperature of the food is hit or miss. It's been cold at times. Always great food for with good size portions. Recommend the congee with chinese doughnuts. Be sure to check out the daily specials. Friendly staff who can speak Cantonese Mandarin and conversational English. Clean Washroom and facility. Kitchen is lightning quick. Cash or e-transfer. Closest parking is next door.
It's Underground.

A great spot with an impressive menu of Chinese dishes in downtown. Always a popular place as well!

Here, we got the Steamed Soup-filled Dumplings with Crab Meat and Pork. The broth could be a bit stronger and more aromatic in flavour, but still a decent choice. The Noodles with Minced Pork in Peking Sauce were delicious, the noodles had an incredible bite and texture to them. And finally, the Camphor Smoked Duck, amazing if you like duck. Some pieces were a tad dry, but that is just being picky. Overall, you cannot go wrong with the dishes here!
Got no time for typing. Let us eat Them all while still hot.
It is the most old-school and tasted Tianjin-style brunch bistro.
At first, we are kind of hesitant to dine here because of its low rating. Thankfully, we did not go with the rating. It's a gut feeling that brought us inside.

The place is accommodating and inviting, and our server is very nice, pleasant, and helpful.

We ordered dumplings (chicken), hot and sour soup, noodles with shrimp and shredded pork, snow peas stir fried with garlic butter and bbq duck. All are highly recommended! Very delicious! 😋
We had a late night dinner here. The Sizzling Spicy Chicken was a little bland, but after adding soy sauce and chili oil, it was pretty good. The Shrimp and Snow Peas was delicious, with plenty of large shrimp. The inside of the restaurant is elegant and clean.
Absolutely delicious!

My husband and I went to Tian Jin 8 years ago and fell in love with the Jianbing and have been trying to find here in Toronto ever since.

It takes just like we remember 💕
Thank you Ayi for bringing a taste of Tian Jin to Canada 💕
Mapo tofu's consistency was a bit watery but overall it was good. Fast service, fresh food and tasty food. Wished it was a bit spicier just like real sichuan food but thats just my preference. Definitely give it a try. 👍
Amazing FOOD! The chilles bring out a unique spice in the food and everything is crafted just perfectly.
I came here once before the pandemic and the food was decent. Today I ordered mapotofu and Kungpao chicken on ubereats and it was the worst of these dishes I have ever had. The mapotofu only had sauce and tofu, no veggies ground beef or spices. The kungpao chicken also had nothing but meat and peanuts. Do not come here, the quality is garbage. See my photos and compare them to the ones posted by others for in restaurant dining - it’s very different.
The place is ok, I only bought their dumplings and they only have pork dumplings and it will take for about 25mins before you could get their dumplings the service is ok. Their wash is really way up high it is like a maze going to their washroom.
Good place for cheap lunch! About $6 for rice, main dish and soup. I like the protion and spicy dispite the main are a little bit greasy. The eggplant is great. And the staffs are very friendly.
Not the best sichuan restaurant I ever tested. I don't think the chicken that was used was of great quality but the overall taste was good and spicy enough.
My favourite Chinese restaurant in the city! They have authentic spicy Chinese food and the price is reasonable. If you like spicy Chinese food, you should definitely check this place out!
