i can’t lie, the food is so delicious but every time i eat it i get violently ill. i want to love this place so much because the portions are massive and it tastes yummy, but it’s not so good tasting it again when it comes back up. i’ve gotten food from here maybe 4 times and only once did i not get sick after eating it. i’ve gotten the honey walnut chicken every time. tastes delicious, just be forewarned that it might leave you hunched over on the bathroom floor after eating it.

I can't tell you how the food was because I went and I stood in line for about 15 minutes while she on the phone repeated the same order to the same customer customer service sucks

Stopped for lunch during business travel. The reviews were mixed, but we decided to go.
The service we experienced was friendly and prompt. The food was freshly made.
I had Kung Pao chicken, with just the right amount of spice.
It seemed like many regulars were coming in for takeout.
The food is excellent. The website has been dead for about a year. Door Dash still has them for online orders.

Tucked away in the hood of Hayward, you’ve got this lil nice family run restaurant that’s out of this world! The customer service here is unmatched to the point I thought I was a in michelin restaurant. The chinese cashier makes sure your food come out piping hot and deliciously fantasia. With the flick of the wrist and the spin of the heel, your food comes out in the blink of an eye. And now that’s what I called customer service 👉👉

A place you should try for sure!

First of all. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. But today I had just an amazing experience.
Also you need to understand that it is not a franchise/fast food place. It is a family owned restaurant.
Pros:

- The amount of food is way more than I expected!( Huge portions of meat and side)
- It is just my opinion but it seems like I find a perfect balance of spices!
- Price is pretty good. Almost every combination dish between $12-22.
- They serve lamb!
- Wait time was about 15 min.
- We ordered some crab pockets.... Tastes as a dessert, unusual but good!
- Nice and polite people working there.
-118 positions on menu without appetizers.

Cons:

- Seems like right now they are serving only to-go. No opinion for dine-in.

When I try some new places I always take something familiar. Same was today. We tried Mongolian Beef (In my opinion one of the best dishes in the whole Chinese kitchen) and Kung-pao Chicken. It tastes so good! We will definitely visit you guys again. Really appreciate!

Ordered Chicken Chow Mein, NO Chicken. Shrimp Egg Foo Young NO Shrimp. Wonton soup bland, flavorless. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Terrible 😞

Food tastes good. But the employees have horrible attitude towards customers. One of the employees would stare at us rudely and one made attitude towards my daughter.

Making this review as I live in a different state because I’m craving it. I use to go here as a kid for years, but I moved to South Carolina 2 years ago. I miss it so much and I’d do anything to have their food again. Nothing out here or in neighboring states compares to the food at dragon house. I’m TIRED of these generic dishes and orange fried rice over here :(

this is best & most accurate review for everyone to read about your restaurant.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, if you like to be disrespected, yelled at, given dirty looks, and your change money & Food tossed back at you the same time…this the place to go! I’m handicapped with only have one hand to use and this is how I was treated.
VERY RUDE STAFF, and they will force peer pressure to tip large amount or start yelling at you and talking different languages to other coworkers….and even if picking up food same thing. Sometimes the food isn’t cooked all the way and they will demand you to tip or yell at you “why no tip!!?!” Me-…”why isn’t my food not cooked all the way?”

Food is great, but your customer service is disgusting 🤮

Customer Service was terrible. First, the lady working the counter had a pretty bad attitude. I dont know if she had a bad day, but that’s unacceptable regardless. She kept chatting and didn’t pay attention right away when I was about to place an order. Then I ordered to go just to find out when I got home, they got my order wrong. They asked me to bring the whole order back and made the drive back to the restaurant and dealt with the inconvenience. Mind you my family was already hungry at this point so it was frustrating. When I got there, the lady was apologetic and took the order back to the kitchen, then I heard them yelling, not sure if it was towards the cooks or out of frustration that they have to do more work to fix the issue. They came out with the right order and apologized. There was no compensation for the inconvenience and frustration caused unlike other places when mistakes happen. I mean if they want to be greedy they can absolutely do that, theyre just going to get a negative review and lose a long time customer.

PS: Beware, I don’t know what they plan on doing with the wrong food they took in. I hope they dont resell it to another customer. Thats so unsanitary and unsafe.

This place has some good crispy calamari. It's basically squid chicarrones. The squid is fried until it's crunchy. It's seafoody and salty. Perfect for snacking, and everyone will be happy when you pull up with a box. Prices have gone up to like $20 + for a small box BUT, good luck actually getting some.

No one picks up the phone, they are open and closed on a whim. They basically only sell the crispy calamari now. I want to try the soft kind but they have not had it or was closed the last 5 times I went. I only keep going back because I haven't found another place that makes it taste like it.

I get it, worker shortage, increased cost. But get your act together! There is demand though. Y'all can make a killing if you were just consistent and picked up a phone. Actually, if you are the owner, message me. How much do you want for the shop? What are you paying for NNN?

You get a lot of food for the price.
Extremely tasty
Had a repass here for my father. Susanna, was amazing! She helped me plan the event and kept in constant communication with me.

The food was delicious, hot, well presented, and fresh! The service was fabulous as well. Kept the water and tea flowing! Susanna was very flexible and made the entire repass relaxing. I had discovered the Rose Garden when a dear friend had her repass here. At that point I knew it was a fabulous restaurant that cares about customer satisfaction, not their profits. Everyone in my party was treated with respect. It was a lovely way to end the day! I look forward to dining there again! The event I had was for 30 people. Everyone enjoyed the food as much as I did! I received several comments on how delicious and outstanding the food and service was.

I was looking for a place that sold chicken wonton soup and shrimp wonton soup and found this place on Google. I ordered for pickup and it was ready as soon as I got there. The flavor is spot on and delicious. Nice and hot to touch so it's perfect by the time you get home. This will be my new wonton soup place!
Amazing old style cantonese cooking! Sorry we didn’t find it sooner. We will be back!

Pictured below is the Sweet and Sour Tofu, Kung Pao Tofu, and Vegetable Chow Mein. Both tofu dishes were quite well, I really enjoyed the crispiness and flavor in the Kung Pao Tofu. My only con for this was I wish the Chow Mein had a bit more flavor. Other than that though the service here was great and they had my pickup order ready on time. There are actually a lot of vegetarian options here compared to most places which is great!
They also have a refrigerated section you can buy your own tofu from, along with some other items.
My niece got married on Oct 18, and this is the place where the reception was held. This place is so cozy, clean, and serves delicious foods with affordable prices. Highly recommended.

Food was “eh.” Food was dry. Lady serving the food was rushed to serve us. Wanted to stay and eat but the restaurant felt unwelcoming.

The short fat lady behind the counter is so rude if you get to go boxes on the chicken option’s because they have to cook more when running out
We came to this Restaurant expecting the food to be delicious, because we had such a great experience with the “Rose Garden Restaurant” in San Leandro and their food was amazing. But at this located we were shocked with their customer service. While taking our order the waitress was constantly looking over her shoulder and making faces while being noticeably distracted. We asked if she needed to tend to something else as she kept looking away when we were speaking to her. The food was flavorless, nothing like the San Leandro location. We had sizzling rice soup, orange chicken, Mongolian beef and fried rice and the food had NO FLAVOR. Never going back to this place. I’m very surprised they’re still in business.
Go to the San Leandro location it’s delicious.
Almost every single time I order on the phone my order is never REPEATED back to me for confirmation. I sometimes have to constantly repeat myself to make sure they heard me right and I all get back in response is a “yea, okay anything else”. And when I pick up I have to repeat the order back to them again. Would be much more simpler if you got names down for pick up orders because I have had someone else take my order before and I have had missing items as well.
I just had a delightful meal from Uncle Yu Restaurant. I purchased, Seseme Balls and combo. Pan fried noodles. The noodles dish was served with the meat sauce separate from the noodles. A nice touch, allowing a much fresher meal when I got to my motel. The Seseme Balls warm and fresh. If I'm in the area again I'll stop by for more.

Our current regular take out place now! 3rd time so far. No where that you can find 10.99 dishes that are so generously portioned and still very delicious! Salt & pepper pork chop’s our fav dish, and all the tofu dishes are good too! Had tried their hor fun, fried rice, and fu kien fried rice (this is my fav), and sweet and sour pork.
Golden Bay Seafood Harbor (Guhm Hoy wahn in Cantonese) is a solid choice for those looking for a more upscale Chinese dining experience at a fairly reasonable price. This is a good restaurant.

Part of a restaurant group, Golden Bay is located next to Marina Supermarket in Union City. We went there for dinner.

For parties of 5 to 7 people, consider the "half portion" of the full set menu. I dont think it is advertised, you may have to ask.

For about $250, you get a very nice seafood dinner, including ginger lobster, small abalone, steamed fish, prawns and scallops, seafood soup, and so on. Dinner included their cold appetizer plate and stir-fried beef with mushrooms. Even the fried rice had scallops in it. The only complaint was the steamed fish as it was quite fishy.

Almost everything we had was well prepared, and portions were quite generous given what was being served

Service was polite and low-key. They were not snobby or haughty, unlike at some other higher chinese restaurants.

The atmosphere within the restaurant is relaxed. The space is large and quiet enough for conversation. It almost makes you want to linger, and that's how restaurants should be

There is plenty of parking and the parking spaces are wide.

I recommend this restaurant. Consider going there with family or a small group of friends
I only ordered beef chow mein. It was ridiculously huge for one person. I'd rather have the option to order half the portion. The food arrived hot but overall, it lacked flavor.
5/5 on food , generous portion !!100% like Cantonese food I had back in Hong Kong , my taste bud is instantly transfer back to Hong Kong when I taste their food

Ask for the soup of the day , we had a big pot of double boiled soup with dark chicken + pork + coconut , so nutritious

Even the white rice is soft and fragrant , just the perfect texture !
We ordered the dinner for 2 people however, the waiter brought out half rations rather than a dish for two. We were very disappointed in the meal we received which cost $50.00 plus a generous tip.
Great atmosphere, great service and great food. Their sea food is really great and they also bring out freshly baked bread along with butter!
This is a solid Chinese restaurant and the taste is similar to Hong Kong style cooking. It's spacious with decent decors. We were greeted immediately entering the restaurant, no line on an early (5:30pm) Saturday dinner. Staff is very attentive and helpful throughout dinner. We have the following dishes:

1) Spareribs in special sauce 5/5
2) Pea sprouts with fried egg tofu 3.5/5
3) Golden silver egg fried rice with beef 3/5
4) Home style stir-fried rice noodles 3/5

Generous portion for all dishes and gratuity already added to the final bill even with group of 4. We don't mind it since service was very good! I would not recommend ordering fried rice or noodles dishes being the two we had were only average. However the first 2 dishes were so much better for sure. We will definitely be ordering dishes instead in the near future!
Wonderful Dim Sum experience. Everything was very fresh and tasted really good. The turnip cake is the best I have ever had. The Shui Mai were huge and really good. The service was quick and very responsive. Would definitely go again.
Very good quality especially considering the prices. Everything is authentic and quite delicious. Better than many popular dim sum places in south bay. Now this is our go to place for dim sum and Cantonese cuisine.

I promise to update some photos at some point. I’ve been helping myself with this amazing food for some time. This is a restaurant where you do not have to hesitate in trying something new. When you’re hungry, you want to make sure you choose the safe option, but I promise this family business never disappoints me. I highly recommend this restaurant. Cheers

I like getting their kung pao three combo, but honestly everything is amazing there.

Promising, I would update photos I found some in my gallery 😁😁😁 enjoy everyone.
I hate to say that I am really disappointed with the last order we picked up. Both me and my husband both thought the food did not taste the same as in the passed. Besides that, I also finding a piece of metal in my chow main I was eating. Can't even imagine what would have happen if I would have swallowed it. I advising them of this via there website email listed and as of today I still have not heard back from them. This is so unprofessional and I know we will never purchase from them again. Really sad cause I did love this place.

Nine dollars for that they don’t give you no more like they used to. They got very cheap. The noodles are dried out and there is hardly any chicken or pork in the fried rice will not be going there again.
Food was great! Price was okay. However, the server was not that great!

The lady who serves the food is soooo RUDE!!! She treats the homeless like s*** && she’s very pushy and just mean! The food is cold as well…
Delicious food and friendly staff. Had a big group of people so I was able to try a decent amount of their dishes, many which the staff recommended. I love that the new management here is pushing to hear what customers have to say about their food. It’s not that they serve traditional style dishes, but rather they add in their own style, switch out some ingredients to make it interesting. And in these dishes, they work.

I would recommend this place for morning dim sum or evening friends and family dinner.

I live in Modesto, but I come here often because the chow-mein is really good and some of the best I have eaten! I recommend coming here, affordable prices! Dine in is what I recommend, but take-out is absolutely possible also! People coming in and out every couple of minutes to pick up food, drivers for delivery also available!

Good prices, many dishes under $11 as of April 10 2022 We had lemon fish - YUM, vegetable fried rice which really had a decent amount of vegetables and was neither salty or oily like a lot of other places, absolutely loved it. Also had the spinach tofu. 4 stars because of first visit, loved it, also few people inside so it felt safer COVID-wise. We will return . Looked at the fish dishes, want more UPDATE Dec 2022> this has become a regular place. This week the chicken corn soup, chicken chow mein, and string beans and tofu strips.
Delicious! Just ordered and, while I’m still eating it, their hot and sour soup is great!!! I even called them one time to give complements to the chef about how yummy they make it. All of the food is made perfectly and I can’t be happier. If I had to say anything negative at all it’s just that I wish the Door Dash app for them would give options about customizing the dishes... like if I could make the soup even better I would ask for more meat(even though the amount they give is normal and fine) and I would also ask, as an option, to be able to make it even spicier(but without adding more seeds)... the seeds are my only peeve, but I understand, they have to be added, just saying you can spice it up super easy with just a little super-hot hot sauce like Dave’s Insanity Sauce(which is what I mix with apple cider vinegar(2 parts vinegar 1 part hot sauce))... makes it even better! Love this restaurant!
I've been to this restaurant many of times but today was very surprising. The quality of food was horrible. Chicken chow mein was made out of pasta noodles like Italian pasta noodles, The Kung Pao chicken was drenched in the dressing, That tastes like a non-traditional flavor. There was hardly no chicken I was shocked and kind of appalled as we pay for these meals during COVID-19 and still the quality of food is downgrading. $50 for NASTY HORRIBLE FOOD... I should have ordered In-N-Out Burger...
First of all, if you’re hungry, the portions are huge, witch is good. Good quality ingredients, on the healthy side. Eco friendly packaging for take away.

Dropped in first time today. Review is very positive. Tried the soft calamari and really good. Crispy one is a bit too hard for me, both are worth a try. The portion is large, recommend.

And then when food was ready, i too bag and said thank you and she said nothing, you really need to fix your attitude little girl !!!!?

This spot is solid! The food is legit - fish is awesome here! Tofu is fresh as are the noodles. Service is great and friendly and the establishment is clean. This place is superb based on quality, portion sizes and price point. They use good quality rice - they care. I wish I lived closer because I would eat here more frequently. It's a solid spot that's worth your business!

Delicious calamari (soft version) but cash only & when order over the phone, you must specify "soft" or else you'll get the "crispy" version by default bevause they don't ask what you want.

Signature Chefs Crispy Calamari is the only place I will order the party tray from. Chef boss insists using California sourced fresh calamari to make his signature dish. Dipped in their vinegar-garlic sauce~ can't eat just one!

Great Food, good efficient friendly service and reasonable price. The deep fried Sole is excellent. We always ask to make it extra crispy and sauce on the side. Super delicious. Also our favorite dish here is their Sizzling Steak with Mushrooms. We visit this restaurant at least once a week. This place gets packed every weekend.

I always order the single size which is the size of a togo styrofoam box for $16.99 whenever I am in town. It's very crispy and still crispy when I get home and even after a few days in the fridge. It goes well with vinegar. It's very addicting.
