This is a great Italian byob spot with authentic food and a relaxing atmosphere! We even got a piano performance during dessert! This is a must visit spot in Somerville, you will feel like you teleported to Italy
My husband and I along w my brother in law and sister-in-law had dinner there Saturday night. The food was OK. I didn’t think it was anything extraordinary. We had as an appetizer the artichoke there were two tiny pieces. I couldn’t believe how small it was.and that they have the nerve to charge $20 for it. My point is you can have good food but also give people what they’re paying for if you’re going charge somebody $42 for a dish put some food on it. The restaurant was clean, but nothing fancy. That’s why I don’t understand the prices. Anyway, we tried it next time we go somewhere else….
BYOB That's a plus. Great ambiance. Menu is limited compared to 13 page menus of some Italian places. Not the usual Italian. Excellent selection. Gourmet food. Pricey nut worth it. That's why BYOB is a plus. Owners are there. He cooks and later on will play piano and sing. Very worth the dine. Not sure what we ordered but both dishes were superb.
We went here for my son's 35th birthday. It's a beautiful town, and the restaurant was very quaint and the atmosphere was wonderful. They had very good prices and large portions.
I went there for an office dinner party. The menu they put together for us was great! The house menu is bananas!! I can't wait to go there to try it. Stay tuned....

Dinner for our moms 75th birthday was lovely. Savor effortlessly managed our party of 18, and the private space is perfect for small groups. Having our own bathroom was a real bonus. Food was delicious and prepared as described. Everyone was very pleased. Thank you!
My family and I celebrated Christmas here on Saturday. The waitstaff was cold and rushing us out of the place. Which is understandable because it’s Christmas weekend and a large party. The food tasted well but here’s where it goes wrong. Over three quarters of the people in our party are battling food poisoning symptoms including myself. This is not a coincidence. There must’ve been a contamination of some sort or an unsanitary practice. Will never come here again.
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Mr. Filippo is a master chef and his wife a most gracious hostess. We will be back as regulars for sure. Can’t believe I’ve lived nearby for over 50 years and have never been there before tonight. Absolutely wonderful place !! I can’t recommend it more highly !! We will be coming back and telling all of our friends and family. The wait staff was also excellent. We were fortunate enough to meet Mr. Filippo himself which is a rare at other highly rated restaurants. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in the state. They have a huge assortment of items on their menu and every item we’ve ordered has been the highest quality ingredients, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The whole restaurant has a dimly lit and cozy ambiance that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. Cafe Picasso is far from your run of the mill basic Italian cuisine that’s sold everywhere else, you’re getting top of the line Italian cuisine here.
Such a wholesome place in the heart of a vibrant neighbourhood. The hostess is great, service is spectacular and the food is authentic. BYOB is an excellent touch. The highlight will always be Filippo finding time to come and play the piano for the guests and make the already homely vibe even more wholesome. Especially love his Beatles renditions! :)
A Saturday night dinner was enjoyed at the Savor! With cool weather outside, the TV fireplaces made it perfectly warm and cozy inside! The chicken meals were amazingly tender and tasty! Of course, there is always room for a gourmet gelato!! A must visit when in Somerville!!!
Everything for our baby shower was absolutely perfect. Robert and Lisa are true professionals providing a beautiful atmosphere and impeccable service! Thank you to you both for making our event so very special.
Social is a fantastic, fun restaurant!! My daughter had her birthday dinner here, with 12 friends and it was great! The food is really delicious; the braised ribs are just incredible, and I really loved the linguine with clams I had, and I am a seafood snob! The vibe is fun, and intimate, and the owner Bikem, Feim, and bartender Eddie could not be more attentive! This is a true gem of a place, where you want to linger!! I’m planning on heading back here for my birthday dinner! Please go check them out - you will thank me!
We had such a wonderful experience at Savor Restaurant for our daughter's baby shower! Great menu choices, including homemade pastas and they even made us a personalized sheet cake. A big thank you to Lisa and Robert who were so easy to work with and accommodated all of our wishes - they are the best - it was a pleasure to work with them! It's BYOB so we were able to drop off our wine the day before and they chilled it and set up a drink station for us. Our servers were also professional and pleasant. We are going back for dinner soon!
Always great food, fresh pasta. I hate eggplant, their eggplant app, I can eat all day. The meatballs and Ricotta are very good too. I had the bolognese. Very good!
Had a fantastic dinner at Social last night. Tuna was fantastic and the service could not have been better. Sat outside on a beautiful night! Highly recommend, we will be back!
I had my wedding here and it was PERFECT. My husband and I decided to have a small ceremony followed by lunch in Savor’s banquet room. From start to finish Robert and Lisa were beyond accommodating and so easy to work with. On the day of, it rained, so we had to pivot last minute and say our vows inside, it couldn’t have been more perfect. All of guests loved the food and service was excellent.
Amazing restaurant!! Our family of 4 comes in to eat. Savor generously donated trays of pasta for Teacher appreciation week at my children’s school. They have always been so kind when dine in with our special needs children who are 3 & 7. My kids are also picky eaters so they always accommodate in altering a dish for them.
Chef Filippo’s cuisine, warm hospitality, piano and signing performance made the visit a memorable experience. I would go back any time, for work, or a personal visit.
Went for a friend's birthday and staff was wonderful including the manager, got to take our time and enjoy conversation! I got the short rib ravioli which melted in my mouth, so delicious! We shared the rice balls, coconut shrimp, and calamari for appetizers all of which were really good including the sauces. Shared three desserts for the birthday girl of honor and also yummy!
Every visit to this Italian restaurant has been a delightful experience. The food is consistently outstanding, capturing authentic flavors in every dish. The service is excellent, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. It’s a place I can confidently recommend, having never been disappointed.
We had our wedding here back in August. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We had enough room for all our guests of about 35 or so, and we were able to take home the extra food from guests who cancelled last minute.
All our guests LOVED the food, everything came out perfect and timely. The owners answered all our guests regarding music, BYOB, etc. I look forward to having our next event here!

went here for a business lunch... was really close to the office and the reviews were good... i ordered the linguini and clams... while waiting we were given bread and this tomato based butter/spread which was really good... my linguini and clams came and i don't know what to make of the sauce... it doesn't take like anything clams or seafood... this is the first time i've had this dish taste like this... i don't know what to make of it but my hunger took over and finished everything... good thing i wasn't the one paying...
Had so much fun when we ate dinner here back in July! First of all we tried the fried zucchini flowers and they were AMAZING! Since it was towards the end of the night, the chefs and other cooks were having fun and singing along to Volare. Such a fun atmosphere. Our dinner was delicious, they have such an extensive menu. Can’t wait to go back.
One of our favorite hangouts. Love the food, the ambiance and the service! The gnocchi was very liquidy and kids didn't like it that way (just a diff style). But all other dish were delish!
Such an amazing atmosphere and DELICIOUS food. The chef was absolutely amazing. “Oh yea tell me you love me” as he prepped the food with such passion was utterly mesmerizing..amazing staff always attentive when you needed something. I would recommend hands down. Great food and a ALOT of it for half the price you would go to a steak house.. 🤤❤️
Visisting NJ for my bday and googled restaurants near me and this one seemed pretty good. It was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious 😋. The service was immaculate and it was an all around great time. Would recommend. Dont remember the name of the meals but i have uploaded the pics. Also, wasn't aware that you bring your own wine which is pretty cool. This nice couple next to us shared theres with us which was so nice of them. Highly recommend this place. I ordered desert the flan (not my favorite of all the dishes)and i mentioned my bday earlier and the lady gave me a candle and sang me happy bday. So so sweet of her. Great atmosphere and cozy.
I always liked the Venetian Grille, but being attached to the pizzeria and bat next door, it was always very slow in comparison, with priority clearly being given to the next door location. Additionally in my most recent visit, although we walked into the Grille and not the pizzeria, when we sat outside we were given the pizzeria's menu. It was a bit bizarre. The food was good, but the menu from the Grille is much better.
The food was fantastic! The menu is small right now with the pandemic but honestly everything I ordered was delicious! The rice balls, mushrooms flat bread, rib ravioli, all amazing. The spicy calamari was OK, wouldn't recommend it...I had to deduct 2 stars because the spicy jalapeño Margherita was undrinkable, it was honestly disgusting and at $14 that's unacceptable, and I LOVE jalapeño Margheritas so it's really hard to make it bad enough that I can't drink it. Whoever the chef is, they are amazing, whoever the bartender was on April 30th 2021, fire them. Also the waiter that we had was pretty bad as well, he forgot my order and when I reminded him he didn't acknowledge that he forgot it or apologize, he just said it's coming and it came out maybe 20 minutes later after all the other food was finished
Good experience on Valentine’s Day. They had special menu for the night and it was quite limited.
Martinis were awesome.
Chicken in the chicken Parmesan was mouth watering good and penne vodka was good too.
In the end we were give complimentary red velvet cake and the staff were very humble.
The tables weren’t in Norms of social distancing, they seemed quite near to each other.

Great food and great staff. The penne Giuseppe was delicious, the pizza was great, the NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and the marinara was clearly fresh as well as delicious. The manager

Our first restaurant experience since COVID. I cant say enough good things about it. The patio was a cute area with great music. Service was top notch with servers that seemed to genuinely care. Food was phenomenal. I am very picky and work for a caterer so believe me when I tell you the short rib and risotto and the lobster and crab ravioli is INSANE. The sauce on the ravioli was unique and so delicious and the lump of seafood in the middle was everything I wanted. My birthday dinner was perfect! Thank you!!!
Wasn't terrible, wasn't great. There were 3 tables on a Saturday night at 7pm including ours...one when we got there, and one after we got there. I am not sure how this restaurant is surviving.
Nice Restaurant! The food was good but the service was slooow and we were the only ones dining. They are reasonably priced but charge a $3 cork fee per person.
My son made reservations for dinner as a present for me to celebrate mother's day. This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was fantastic. I chose the cod fish fillet in parchment paper. It was bursting in flavor. The rest of the meals met and exceed our expectations. We all loved the atmosphere and the food.

This restaurant was just okay. I counted one other person in this restaurant with my wife. But one could be easily confused has there appears to be a bar that is connected to the restaurant that has a constant flow of people.

Discreet place, but it is beautiful inside with a full service bar. It is more of a high end classy restaurant. But staff is great, just could do better on wait time, but I do not mind, I know for a fact their food is fresh daily.
The rating says it all, it's okay. The hour that I spent there I counted 4 other customers. The risotto was mushy in part and okay for others names me wonder how long it has sat before serving it to me. The wait staff isn't knowledgeable, she didn't know what the soup of the day was other than to say it was some type of bean soup and then told me she couldn't understand the spanish cooks in order to know anything else about it.
I was exploring the restaurants in the area and can honestly say I won't likely return to this one.
