I've been using this store for over 20 years, the staff is outstanding, far beyond any other company. Whatever you guys are doing, keep doing it, the staff is always so professional and helpful, consistently over long time, thank you!

These five stars go to AJ. AJ is a phenomenal employee, he is incredibly patient, helpful and makes sure people are helped. Yes, this store gets a lot of traffic and you have to wait bc of it but if AJ is helping you, you will get all your needs met with patience and kindness.

Luis or Louis helped me with a few things this past weekend. I appreciate the fast and professional customer service. Best location in DC.

the lady who work there is so nice,I went there 3 weeks ago,she helped me alot

Say they open at 830 but twice now I’ve tried to go between 830 and 9 but they weren’t open. Most recently, I was there at 845. they made me seriously late for work because I had to go back home to put my package away.

I was told by an employee that they "do not print labels" even though I had a pre-paid QR code for them to scan and print which is supposed to be a service USPS offers. Also if you come on the weekend, apparently only the self service/PO Box area is open. There were no employees to be found.

If I could give 0 stars I would. 4 months later and the system is still down 😂 and when you go in it’s just “the system is down we can’t do anything” NO ATTEMPT to even try and help. Just shut the place down already.

The last time I called the guy that respond me was very rude, unprofessional, I called because there’s a specific letter that the caregiver keep sending it back to the sender, just because she said she keep confusing me with the people that used to live before in my apartment which is so annoying because I have almost 2 years in here and I never have issue she always leaves everything but not that letter, this is gonna be the 3rd time, every time I called these people never want to resolve the issue and I am tired of it because it’s been over 3 months already now I will have to wait until the sender gets the letter and wait another 2-3 weeks more to get to me. They need to fired these people at the post office, they seem to not want to help people.

This is my neighborhood location. I’ve been coming to this place for over five years. They see a lot of traffic and are great. Staff is courteous, friendly, help you fast. Professional team, help with notary, finger prints and in here weekly sending items. Thank you!

Every time I come to this UPS they have been helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They go out of their way to make things easier for their customers. I appreciate them!

If I could give this location ZERO stars I would. The system is ALWAYS DOWN. Useless to even be open. Stop going here and let it close down. Takoma location is always so much better, the workers there are also very kind and helpful.

The BEST post office I’ve ever been to. The team there is EXCEPTIONAL. They are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Feels like a neighborhood place. I always look forward to my visits there. Shout out to Mayra for the great service as always.

I’d like to sent my best gratitude to Mira/Mayra (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) at this location. She was an absolute gem who looked out for my lost item and cared enough to actually help me out. I have not met an employee like her at USPS, and while I don’t want working with lost items to become their extra burden/job, I’d love for people like her to get recognized for these types of behavior. I thank you so much Mira/Mayra!

Very helpful. But if you want a label printed there make sure it’s in pdf format.

The UPS Dropbox is no longer in the lobby.

If I could give zero stars I would. The most horrible post off I have ever experienced. They lose tour mail and won't care one bit. Lost my certified mail. This is crazy!

I ship a lot of packages out of this store for my business. Normally I go in and print my labels at the printers which is very convenient. The store gets a lot of Amazon returns, which is probably annoying for the staff. Most of the staff is very nice, but there are a couple with attitudes. If there is a line, it’s usually because someone is asking a lot of questions, not the staff though. They seem pretty knowledgeable.

The worst customer service experience imaginable. I literally just left this UPS store. I had a (free delivery) Macy's package redirected to this UPS store and when I showed up I was told it was a $10.00 pickup fee. I couldn't believe it. I am a UPS my choice premium member and was still asked to pay which I refused to do. These franchised stores act as if they have no association with UPS and charge whatever they want despite being contracted by other companies. I have reported it to UPS corporate. Let's see if anything happens. I highly doubt it. This review probably won't get a response since it's 100% true.

I had to push 300 lbs of packages across several blocks to get to this store. The gentleman took my calls and was very helpful once I arrived, even tho he was really busy (and very patient with an entitled young lady who kept interrupting with her Amazon return). Thank you, our client is very appreciative thanks to your help

The worker here is amazing and I hope they take good care of her! She's so friendly and so efficient. She had a huge line when I was there the first time and I was super impressed how she was able to multitask everyone. She never seemed frazzled or stressed by it either. Just friendly and very clear on instructions. Plus, they make it easy to return Amazon stuff and send packages. I just need the package and the address and they do the rest.

It was my first time visiting this store, came all the way from MD, such a nice worker, very polite, and fast service as well!! 💯 I don't know her name, wish I had asked her, but I was in a rush, I could I loved the way she was doing her job so nicely, NOTE THAT** THIS IS MY FIRST REVIEW ON GOOGLE!!

I don’t know what it is, but the staff at this location are some of the nicest, friendliest service professionals I’ve encountered. I come here regularly and have encountered many different staff members and they are all super cheery and helpful. It brightens my day 😊

As others note, it's not a UPS store or drop box. But the CVS staff will take your packages and can receive them for pickup. Easy.

I’ve never showed up to this store in the morning and seen them open on time. As someone trying to drop packages off before work, this is a tremendous inconvenience. At least 20 minutes go by after their scheduled opening before anyone shows up.

Rashia is incredible!! In the times that I have lost a package, I have never felt like any vendor would ever do anything to locate it. When I called this store about a missing package, Rashia took care to locate the package and updated me on every step of the way! Best service I have ever received from any shipping or mailing situation!

Identity theft my name is Richard Nicholas Borunda and my mother Annette Borunda I am a letter legacy life lock association, I have suspect in our state stealing asset from our company, creating fake forms to take our letter legends assets and royalty inside the Lincoln office here in Salinas CA. Moved to downtown DC about a year ago and come to this location often for shipping services. Without fail always greeted with a welcoming smile and quick service. If you come prepared with the info you need or a label to return you’ll be in and out quickly. Been to a couple other locations in DC proper but none have beat this location when it comes to customer service.

They don't have a machine that will weigh your mail and dispense postage at this location, so you have to wait in line no matter what. Always only one person working the counter, so very slow and inefficient. And bring your own pen- they don't have any. This location is stuck in the 1970's.

I had best experience u can have from a post service, i had an interview right next to this store and a hour before the interview i came in this ups store as my battery was 1% and asked if i could charge my phone with my own charger and they straight welcomed me in and at a point they even forgot about me been there,
Thats how Rashia and Mariah were relax and easygoing bella’s!!
I gave 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but if i could of i would of gave them 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!
I leave a bit fare from the store but from next week on i will worm next to it and will always go back to them when needed.
Plus when i left the place to ho to my interview i forgot my charger pluged in they store and as i made a couple of print there they emailed me to remind me to come back and recupere my charger.
Highly recommend

Omg what is that? Have no boxes system does not work, manager or supervisor is not right here🤦♂️😂 how?

Had a great weekday morning experience. Arrived a few minutes before nine and was let in promptly. There were about four of us waiting and the line moved quickly. The employee was really friendly and told me next time I could do the QR code label on the machine!
Btw the entrance is on 14th st right below L street.

I don’t know where to start my review!! This is the best usps that I’ve never been to!!! I was just shocked from the moment I walked in and the friendly atmosphere I felt!! I feel so stupid not getting the wonderful ladies names but I was so stressed over the paperwork I had to send that I totally forgot to ask about their names!! They really made a huge impression on me!! Thank you so so much!!! Thank you for all your help and patience!! 🙏❤️

Called the usps customer service line, get a useless robot, told want to talk to an agent, keeps talking about everything else but my request. Seems to me you people don’t want to help the customer, you should follow Canada example and have an actual person on the line. This is an example of total failure by the usps… shame on you!

Ebony and Mayra are the Queens of this Post Office! They are always kind, patient, and happy to see me whenever I walk in to this post office! I have been to several post offices in DC and this is by far the best one! Just to let everyone know, they actually close at 5pm and open from Monday to Friday!

It's not really a UPS location, but if you have a package ready for drop off at this CVS, they can take it. Friendly service

I dropped a package off and asked for a receipt and was told they don’t provide receipt for packages, which is a lie since I always get receipts with no issues. It has been 4 days since I dropped it off and it was never scanned or shipped. Usps says they can’t help me since it was never scanned. The drop off window was not working so I had to meet her at the side door and I’m assuming she was too lazy to walk over to the computer to give me a receipt. Looks like the employee stole my package.

I visited this USPS location expecting to pay with cash, as they are supposed to accept it as a form of payment. However, to my disappointment, they refused to accept cash, which is against their own policy. This created an inconvenient and frustrating experience for me as a customer. It's crucial for any business, including USPS, to adhere to their payment policies to ensure a smooth and reliable service. I hope they can address this issue promptly.

Incompetent employees at USPS from upper management to the mailman. You can see it when you walk into any USPS facility that all the locations are in bad shape going down here in Central Florida for many years, ugly maintained by low level people who don't know or won't care properly, good for hog sty care, not a USPS store. But, I'm here again today to complain about something I've already done (Case Confirmation For Service Request 55259631) and wasn't successful. The product that was delivered on September 19th, DOESN'T LEAVE THE SMALL SIZE OF THE MAILBOX DOOR, I ALREADY LEFT A MESSAGE AND ASKED THE POSTMAN HERE TO LEAVE IT IN THE BIG BOX. It was possible to him/her put it inside, because it opens the entire front of the archaic mailbox system, but was not possible to take it out through my door #12, which is too small. Follow Amazon's example, or better, let Amazon or other competent company take care of the USPS, you, the current directors and managers, are incapable of producing a good service for American consumers.

This is a great post office. There are several other branches closer to my home, but I go out of my way to come to this one because the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you to Ebony in particular!
Note that the google maps location and time info is wrong — they’re at 1750 Penn (not 1700), and are open regular 9-5 hours.

The only older gentleman who is always in the box is the worst. he is uneducated, he treats young people very bad just for asking him some questions about shipping. he responds badly and rudely.. he should change it and not put it in customer service. thank you

My experiences have always been the best.
The staff is always willing to answer my questions. Very diligent and clean place as well.

Friendly, professional and helpful with all of your shipping needs. If you need a notary, they got you covered. Centrally located near the GW campus, and operating hours that are very business and personal shipping friendly. Check them out for your UPS shipping needs.

Can’t recommend this location enough! After some very poor experiences at other DC locations, walking into this post office is like a breath of fresh air. Mayra and two other ladies (who’s names I unfortunately did not catch) are so personable and kind. Their positivity made for a unexpectedly enjoyable visit.
TLDR: Great attitudes, very knowledgeable, pleasant atmosphere, quick service, fantastic attention to detail.
Interacting with the right (or wrong) person in any situation can completely make or break your experience. A person can either unlock all of the right doors for you and solve your problem quickly and efficiently, or slam shut the doors (and windows and blinds for good measure) and steer you in the completely wrong direction, wasting more of your time, energy, and money. Which person would you pick?
I was in a unique situation needing to open a PO Box in a different state, and had been rudely dismissed at other locations that it was not possible and I would need to fly to the location to submit my ID verification in-person. This is clearly not an easy or accessible solution for the average person, especially when the USPS website states that ID verification CAN be completed remotely.
These three ladies were the only ones who 1) had knowledge of the correct procedures and 2) went above and beyond to help me submit my forms through both fax AND mail to make sure the out-of-state location would have all the necessary information, as that location was also incredibly unhelpful and impossible to reach on the phone.
I went to these ladies twice in one day as the other locations (that I made the mistake of visiting) gave me false information and refused to even try to help me. The ladies at this location continued to work with me even after their store closed.
They tried to call the out-of-state location for over an hour (unsuccessful) and also noticed that one of my documents would expire soon, and had me send them an extra document to use as a backup to avoid any further potential delays. They also expedited the shipping of my documents as my situation was time-sensitive and needed a quick turnaround.
Employees at other locations would not even blink an eye or lift a finger to help someone to this extent, even though this is when people need the advice and expertise of the postal workers the most, as we do not have the same access to USPS knowledge and resources.
Post office heaven actually exists, and it’s at this DC location.
If you wish to have a postal experience where you won’t be rushed or dismissed, where the fax/scanners/printers actually work, where the lines are short and move quickly, and where the employees have a complete understanding of USPS systems and processes and are more than willing to help you navigate them, this location should be your first, and final, destination.
Thank you again to these three ladies, I quite literally couldn’t have done any of this without y’all!

Easy to spot. GW Ambulatory Care/Cancer Research Center across from Whole Foods at 22nd and I. On the left side of the security desk, next to atm machine

Amazing

Now I know why they got 2 stars.
They’re unprofessional, I showed the lady (curly hair) the QR code to scan and print a label for me. She told me go to the machine and print it for yourself and drop off. I knew machine is not for printing QR labels but I wanted to double check.
I scanned my QR code from the machine and it said invalid code. After that I came back to the line, it was long line and I waited for 20 more minutes.
She wanted to leave early that’s why she refused to scan and print QR code.
I read a lot of reviews about the old afican-american man, yes everyone is right he is rude but believe me it is just his personality.

Poor service, slow, disrespectful, makes every transaction more difficult here. As others mentioned the older African American clerk that is always here simply treats everyone (not just women) condescendingly and refuses to do his work, I have had issues in the past and today was no exception, the mailbox was full and he wouldn't simply accept the package at the counter and provide me a receipt after I was in line for 15 minutes, he preferred to try to come "to show me how to scan it" despite having a line of people behind me, such a mind blowing ridiculous situation that explains why everything is always so slow here. If he just doesn't want to work there anymore he should just quit... I simply recommend to avoid this place.

The older African American male clerk with short graying hair is extremely condescending and unprofessional towards young women. After waiting in line for counter service, he told me I had to use the self-service machine to drop off a package I told him I needed a receipt, and he told me the self-service machine could do that. I used the self service machine. After answering the hazardous materials question and scanning the bar code on my package, the self-service machine told me it could not accept my package for self-service and it had to be brought to the counter to be accepted during business hours. I waited back in line to drop it off at the counter. I over heard the clerk tell another clerk that I refused to use the self-service machine, which was not true. The clerk again told me I had to use the self-service. I told him I did but it said it could not accept my package. The clerk told me that was not true and that I either made it up not to use the machine or did it incorrectly. Instead of taking my package, the clerk walked me back to the self-service machine where I did the exact same thing as before, and it did not display the error message. The clerk was extremely condescending and unprofessional repeatedly stating falsely that I made up the error message, it's never told anyone it cannot accept a package before, that I just did not want to use the self-service machine, and that I used the machine incorrectly when I did the same exact thing again. I am extremely tech savvy and have no issues using self-service machines. The level of unprofessionalism I experienced is absolutely unacceptable.

A very small effort to locate (not well marked.)
I'm from Western Colorado & I was pleasantly surprised (due to the negative reviews). Friendly Postal worker @ the window! They had the supplies we needed to ship items from conference.
I had a very good experience there & thank you. Much more friendly than many other USPS places I've to.

Mailed a priority mail with 2 day delivery... send 5 packages 4 I received 1 is missing which I was having all important stuff... it's so ridiculous package is missing customer service consumer affairs all giving very very poor response saying package missing we don't know.. Libertyville chicago post office responsible for this 20 days no response. Advanced technology they couldn't track a package..Better to be aware and don't ever use USPS for any important packages.

How many times will this (much older man) will behave like this?
He is so rude and yet no Responsive. You ask a question he doesn’t answer, when you ask again he pretends he doesn’t seem you, what the hell?!
Why is this man still working with people if he can’t deal with people!!! We are customers! Treat us with a little respect UPS! 😡

The drop box still exists, but per other reviews it’s actually located in the GW Ambulatory Care/Cancer Research Center across from Whole Foods at 22nd and I. The box is just inside the entrance to the left of the security desk and easy to access.

This drop box is inside the building across from Whole Foods labeled The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates Ambulatory Care Center. It’s also a cancer research center and says that on the building. The box is to the left of the security desk.

WHOA ... WATCH OUT! Can the USPS ACTUALLY be making marked improvements in their service?
After having two (later deemed three) packages disappear from my mailbox recently, I filled out a police report, filed reports with [the] USPS and with the sellers, and finally, contacted the US Postal Inspector's Office.
Filing with my local sheriff's office and my local USPS did not (as was expected) garner much more than report numbers, but the US Postal Inspector's Office was a horse of a different color. I could not find a review page for them as they seem to be quite secretive about a physical address and I wasn't in the mood to really look, so I am leaving my review here in the hopes that it may help someone who is having problems with undelivered mail, or more accurately, packages.
One of the things the lady who I spoke to, and I, discussed, was the use of the "Informed Delivery" service which the USPS now offers. With an active USPS account, when you enroll in Informed Delivery, you can opt to receive updates on all your packages via email or SMS messages on your phone. After hanging up with the representative, I signed up for it and, without exaggeration, had a notification within seconds about another package that was en-route that day. You can tweak it, as I did, to only be notified of packages placed in your mailbox, or for however number or choice of alerts you'd like. So far, I love it and I really like that USPS is implementing tools such as these to help their customers.
… Now, if they could only answer their phones … ;)

I'm in agreement with "Vince" who stated: "I have nothing but disgust for this organization and the incompetence with which it is run. Any other company that was run in this manner, wouldn't last more than a few days." On-Line "click&Ship" charges you for the shipping tag just before you print. But no warnings anywhere in the T&C's or printed on the shipping paperwork that this $55 valuable sheet of paper expires ! After 90 days the USPS system doesn't recognize the Tracking Number ! (FedEx and UPS will show scanned info for years!). Like 'Gift Cards' that used to expire, someone had to sue to protect the public from company theft. Well this is just that; I agree with Vince's comment. Finally, let me add that this USPS company has had nothing but excuses blaming everything on its poor technology (1988 style)...

I have a list of over 20 packages with tracking numbers that my local post office has not delivered to my PO Box. After several local complaints and complaints to USPS, it was escalated to the Postmaster General. Keep in mind these are tracking numbers showing the packages were never delivered. Nothing was done. Over $1500 in lost packages and lost mail. There's obviously a serious problem with USPS employees and Megan Brennan certainly isn't doing anything about it. Worst Postmaster General ever. I think my two year old could do a better job.

I have an important package from uscis mail to me. I had moved and filed a forwarding address. All my mail was coming to my new address with no problem. This particular package didn't make to my new address. I found this undisciplined action was very unfair.
I went to my local usps and asked to speak to a manager. I told him about the situation and he said he would have someone go back to the mailbox to check to see if the package remain there. He actually took my name and cell number with my tracking number to contact after. Of course nobody call me,so i went back ,i told to another gentleman and he said my package wouldn't be at the location.
He also said after week if the return back to them, they usually send it back to where it came from. So i lost my package and now i going to hold usps a countable for a refund. It is completely thier fault. They are not doing very good job. ORLANDO USPS Hunters Creek area.

I actually had a fantastic experience at a post office. It was spacious and very clean. There was a person walking around who's sole job was to make sure I knew what forms I needed and gave me all the options for mailing. She even offered to get me a pen, since they don't have them out.
The clerk took care of me quickly and made sure to ask for ID since my credit card wasn't signed. Was in and out very quickly.
