We were here a year ago (it was then called Meneer Pannenkoek), so not entirely sure if the menu is the same. But our food was SO DELICIOUS that we visited twice (once before our cruise, and upon returning from our cruise). I really enjoyed the Egyptian pancake.
We expected to get pannekoeken (Dutch pancakes) based on the past reviews. However, we were disappointed because the new owners took over several months ago and they serve fluffy pancakes (not pannekoeken). The pancakes were still good and the place was lovely and servers were friendly.
Chicken avocado was decent. The waiter was nice, the waitress acted kinda mean tho. There was a layer of dust on the surface of the milk pot, I reported to the waitress while she reacted like I was being weird. Could have been patient and discerning, could have cleaned the pot thoroughly. Don’t recommend visiting.
Reviews must be fake. My university canteen has better food. The prawns with pasta had weird taste and there was a lot of pasta and 4 prawns with a huge head that you cannot eat. And the side veggies and potatoes for beef look pretty depressing. Outrageous for the price.

Went for a brunch and we weren’t disappointed. A very warm welcome and explanation on the menu. I saw some waffles on icecream on the review or I thought I did 😂 but it wasn’t available instead I had an apple pan cake which was decent. Coffee was ok too my friend got savor pancake chicken pancake. She loved it plus it was a great place to hang.

The most amazing service! Very kind and with perfect manners! Emiliano is the name of the person who greeted me, served the food and brought a really fantastic atmosphere!!! The Mediterranean omlette was so delicious and so healthy!!! I truly recommend this place for breakfast or late brunch!!!! Very well done Gayo team!!!

Disappointing given the many great reviews. Arrived on a Monday night for an 8pm booking and the restaurant was chaotic. Very short staffed with only the manager and young guy seemingly doing everything. No warm welcome, manager was clearly stressed and looked dishevelled.
Dirty plates and glasses on 4 tables around us that were not cleaned up for nearly an hour. Our table was not ready and hurriedly wiped before we were sat down - it was not laid with anything, just a bare table. Waited a while for menus, then a long wait for everything from glasses (even the right glasses), to cutlery, etc. Wine served by young inexperienced chap who struggled to use a corkscrew. No wine chiller offered - we took one off another table.

I loved the place! It’s modern and quiet clean and the service is so good .. the food was the best part !! I loved everything about this place, me and my friend ordered iraqi mixed grill. and it was so delicious.. it was my first time there but it wouldn’t be my last time of course ❤️

Food and service were great. My issue was the mouse. I saw a mouse running across the floor under the table next to ours. I politely asked the server if this was common in Amsterdam. They said yes it was a huge issue in the city and offered to move us to another table. My worry was the kitchen more than the dining room. Being my first visit here, I didn’t know any better.

The service is simply amazing. The staff is very kind and everything is brought over to your table quickly.The shisha lounge upstairs is the perfect place to chill with a tv in the room incase you wanna watch a football game with friends. Whatever you order is pretty good for a fair price considering its location. i come here with every one of my friends atleast once a month
We recently dined at Middle eat. The food was absolutely delicious. Their loaded nachos are a must try. The ambiance of the place is warm and cosy. The prices are reasonable. They sometimes give discount if you book in advance online. The only downside was the service time. Even though the place was not crowded, the food took a long time to arrive. Apart from that everything was good.
I booked Restaurant Classico for 25 people. The 3 course meal and drinks menu was excellent value for money! The food and drinks was delicious and had a lot of options to cater to all dietary requirements. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to meet the needs of all guests. Would highly recommend Classico!

Very tasty lunch! Try the healthy shakshuka with mushrooms and the fried eggs with potatoes and cheese! They were both very nice! The atmosphere of the place was ok but not sth special. The lunch dishes are quite expensive though. The service was friendly but not very attentive. We had to wait for 20 min to order.

I’ve been to factory girl sooo many times now. It’s not a brunch place where the vegans are stuck with avocado toast. There’s an insane amount of options.
The food is always amazing in regards to quality and consistency, the staff are a breath of fresh air and so friendly. The coffee is so good and the coco angela is 💯

We had nice Italian food, authentic and delicious. My friend wanted to have lobster pasta but they didn’t have it, so better to call them and check first if you really want lobster

A beautiful café away from the hustle and bustle. Here we enjoyed a vegan breakfast and one with egg and salmon, that was prepared with love and creativity. This is how vegan food is fun. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not justified. Even though high quality ingredients are used, it was too expensive.
TLDR: Good food experience that is detracted by rude staff, meh atmosphere, and half the menu missing.

We were always swiftly attended to, from the moment we stepped foot inside, until the moment we waltzed outside. So needless to say, we always loved the service. Everyone was warm and personal, asking us if our meal was alright and whether we needed anything else.
The food was always amazing and timely prepared! A caveat, i have an eye for choosing good items on a menu so usually, i tend to end up with delicious choices. This is something that I have learnt over the years... I personally recommend Turk's mom and their Asian noodles, both are delightfully delicious. They also have a good variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, just enough to allow considerable choices AND to ensure delectable quality in their dishes. Furthermore, the prices are good for the quality and portion, which is relatively generous!
The atmosphere lends itself to a hippy, alternative, with a rustic touch, vibe. Definitely more attractive to the younger population, and also a more international clientele.
Overall, everything was great and we had nothing to complain about. Food is delectable, just enough so we are just about full while our wallets stay happy. Service was warm and sweet. Atmosphere was great. 10/10!! Absolutely GREATLY recommend!!

Amazing food— each dish had its own unique flavor and was seasoned to perfection. We ordered the the Magic Mushroom, which was marinated in a tasty sauce, but be ready to eat a lot of mushrooms. It’s perfect to split this dish and another dish with someone. The Turk’s mom dish had an amazing yogurt sauce— so good that we ordered extra bread as to not miss a single drop :)

Het is altijd een feestelijke gelegenheid wanneer ik daar gaat eten. De meze selectie is heerlijk en biedt een scala aan smaken om van te genieten. Maar het hoogtepunt is ongetwijfeld de verrukkelijke lamskotelet. De sappige smaak en perfecte bereiding maken het een absolute aanrader.

Great authentic Greek food. Sadly they don't have many tables so order to go or get there early. They also have a fantastic variety of pre made meals that looked amazing. The service was very nice and the chef made sure we were happy with our meals. Greatly recommend although maybe call ahead make sure a table is available when you arrive.

I am honestly surprised this place has so many great reviews. We sat outside which was lovely for people watching and to enjoy the good weather but that was about the only benefit. The food was way overprice and expensive. The staff kept forgetting about us and we waited almost 90 minutes after ordering for our dinner to come. When it did... it was bland and lacking in the traditional flavors of Turkish food. Very disappointing... perhaps an off night?

Very small, very very oilly, too salty.
I'm far from being picky, I eat everything, and could take only 2 bites from this pizza.

Lovely Mediterranean restaurant close to Amsterdam downtown yet away of the busy parts of downtown. The restaurant is serving halal food.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice, our host was friendly and helpful. Food was served in short time, presentation was good and food was delicious! I loved the music tracks they were playing and loved that music wasn’t so loud so we still can talk to each other!

Excellent food and friendly service. It’s fairly small with limited tables but it’s sure worth it getting a table. The food quality is very high and and the recipes are authentic.
The place was very nice. Food was delicious and employees (Turkish) attentive, smiling and friendly (especially young lady who was serving). Nice menu with several options including, pasta, pizza, lamb...As starter we tried artichokes with olive oil, main dish lamb and spaghetti. Very recommended. Would try again.
Good restaurant just outside center of Amsterdam. They have a wide range of dishes not limited to Italian food. Staff is friendly and service was good. Food was good as well, smaller portions (but good size) when compared to US means. I had the lamb (grilled) which was good (not perfect), we also had the lamb stew which was actually better. The rice was actually very good. Greek yogurt as dessert which is already a pleasure., which was nice. In general good restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! A mix of varied middle Eastern/North African cuisine. And, I ❤️ the background music too. A place excellent for Vegan/Veggie eaters too.

There was a dead mosquito in our dish. When I showed it to the owner, surprisingly, he denied. He picked it up and pressed it trying to destroy the evidence, but I had taken a picture. More anoying than the mostquito was the way the manager reacted.
Restaurant is located in a beautiful building on one of the nicer canals of Amsterdam. Very nice interior, with details from the past, when the dining room was a bakery.

Soutsoukakia is so amazing and very flavorful. It is a must have and goes well with a pita bread which you can order separately. Chicken Gyros is also amazing and full of meat. Good prices and amazing flavours. Lamb gyros is not good and can be skipped.
We had an incredible fine dining experience in this place.. The restaurant's location is in the heart of Amsterdam, with stunning ambience. The food here was amazing. We ordered a few different items, and everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. The falafel, tzatziki, chicken, and rice were all delicious.

Nice Turkish restaurant in Amsterdam. The portions were very big and the food was good, especially the sauces and meat, the biggest issue was that we were advised on the quantity but it still ended up being far too much. The outdoor seating was nice but not 100% relaxing as it’s right next to the bike path.
My Turkish friend recommended we go here, and we weren't disappointed. Authentic Turkish food, with many dishes we were not used to seeing at other Turkish restaurants. Very friendly owner. Lamb especially was excellent: perfectly pink and tender. Also recommend the white bean meze. Very good baklava: not overly sweet, you can taste the pistachio
Really enjoyed the fresh, good quality Mediterranean food here. It was very busy, always a good sign, but they had plenty of staff on who were attentive and helpful. There were vegetarian and vegan options available. We didn't book but still had no wait for a table despite how busy it was. The price was good for the quality of food in a central location.
We stopped and only waited 20 minutes for a table but the wait was so worth it! The samplers were amazing. The mixed grill and the grilled chicken salad were fantastic! My meal was topped off with an amazing chocolate mousse! This is a great option for dinner outside the center of Amsterdam!

A fantastic quaint traditional Italian restaurant, which I happened upon while strolling through Amsterdam on my first night in the city. Friendly and accommodating staff. The owner (or I believe he was the owner) suggested the bacon wrapped sea bass which he paired with an amazing Italian white wine. Definitely recommend Restaurant Classico.
Probably a bit underrated. The food was excellent and the service was even better! The staff here have a very positive and engaging energy! Would definitely come back.
Super cozy restaurant with nice ambiance. Food was truly amazing! Loved the lamb shoulder and veal, very tender and tasty. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, they brought all the available cold starters to our table so we could directly pick and choose. I liked it that the portion of each dish was not huge, so I really enjoyed the food without having the feeling of being extremely full at the end. The prices are really for the food quality and flavor of food and nice experience.
Really nice place, food was really good and the place was nice. We were outside and enjoyed dinner a lot while the sun was getting down. Service was very friendly and overall good, but organisational wise i think they can do a bit better. Anyway the food makes up for everything since it was super good and the appetisers they bring for free was a really nice touch. Prices were a bit expensive tho.

There is the best turkish restaurant in Amsterdam! We came two evenings in a row because it was so delicious. All dishes are individually very tasty and attentive. We felt like we were in Turkey. Special atmosphere with all the green walls and beautiful plants everywhere. Service was super attentive and friendly. Vegetarian main dish was a bit small and not that flavourful and the portion could have been better. Dessert and cheese plate were delicious.
Got here right when they opened but it took them about 10 minutes for them to get all set up for customers. After getting seated, we got some bread, olives and some sort of dip for the bread which was really nice. Then we got a round of beers. For food we ordered Guvec which is a lamb stew with eggplant, garlic, tomato and bell pepper. My friends ordered the Baked Chicken which had cubed chicken fillet, mushrooms, onions, garlic, bell pepper, tomato in cream sauce and the Dutch steak which was steak baked in butter. Good food, a little bit pricey, service was nice tho, they kept the bread going which was nice!

He questioned us in a rude way why we needed to read the menu again. THAT’S BECAUSE WE DON’T WORK HERE, and we definitely don’t remember it after reading just once! He grumpily gave it to us.
When he came back again, we ordered another dish. He told us not available again. For the record, it was only early lunch time. This is what the waiter said, “I have no time for you…” He meant we were wasting his time taking unavailable orders again.
But it was him who’s wasting our time. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE OR NOT! Your restaurant has no food to offer and you’re blaming us for that ?!

I went twice in a row to this place. Very neat decoration inside that reflects the name. Very spacious and neatly organized. Seating outside is also super nice.

My colleague had raved about this restaurant, so I decided to take my team there for dinner. At first, things didn't seem to be going too well as the staff appeared a bit curt, but it soon became clear that they were just under a lot of pressure during the busy hour. Once we got settled in, the staff was fantastic! They were friendly, suggested some amazing dishes, and catered to all our needs, considering we were a large group.
And the food... Oh my goodness, it was divine! Every dish we tried was better than the last - the starters, mains, drinks, and desserts were all mouth-watering. I cannot praise the food enough. I'm already planning to return to the restaurant for another fantastic experience.

We drop in at 21:00, we wanted to eat but the kitchen was closed. Buuuut we managed to get some Dutch starters. They were pretty good and very warm. Wait to eat them because they are very warm inside.
The atmosphere at the place is quite nice, full of plants and colored in a nice green color.
The staff was nice and fast to come to the table. Even we did not have a reservation, we managed to get a table and they solved the situation very fast.

Amazing restaurant. Romantic ambiance. Low lights, dark tones, quiet environment, tablecloths. Despite being a Michelin starred restaurant food is surprisingly delicious and recognizable. Friendly service. Book with plenty of time, hard to get tables.
The best greek food with the most cozy vibe and homey service I’ve had in a very long time. Absolutely love this hidden gem, its perfect. Everything tasted so extraordinary, would def recommend for anyone who lives Greek food.
The looks of this place is great. There is a lot of space here to meet up with your friends/family. I got a triple chocolate cake which was was very sweet. The fish dish was good but nothing special compared to the meat dish. I definitely recommend one of the meat dishes here.

The food is good, but the way this place is ran it’s really not. It took more than 30’ to get our order and almost two hours to get our food. Until we finished eating it was too late for us to get desserts. They don’t serve water - no tap, bottled, nothing, even if you ask. You get tap water only if you order a jug of wine too (only wine, other drinks don’t count). We insisted a lot for some water and they eventually gave us half a glass each, and charged us 3 euro for it. It’s not much, but it’s the gesture. Water you give even to strangers if they are thirsty and you don’t give to your guests?
Very unique restaurant with great, classy food and drinks. Our waitress was a little rude, and not at all hospitable which wasn’t too nice, but luckily the food made up for it. We ordered a Vegetarian share plate with fried cauliflower, the best we’ve ever had, a bulgur and lentil dish, and a Poussin dish. Everything came so quickly and was cooked perfectly with a wide range of creative flavors. Definitely recommend for a fun, little dinner date in Amsterdam!

The place is awesome! Service is the best! Top-notch hospitality. Food is stunning. Had risotto with prawns and saffron sauce. It satisfied my taste buds right away.😋
My husband and I LOVED this place. We went here for a nice dinner on a Sunday night and the vibe was so fitting for our evening. The food filled us up and we were so, so pleased with all the yummy flavors. Date night recommended.
Impeccable service. Romantic venue in a top Amsterdam location. The food was excellent, but "wow" effect only a couple of dishes. It's more towards a 2stars price, with 1star only, but justified by the location. Only 4/5 because I really didn't enjoy the celeriac dish - yuzu miso, coffee and truffle is just too much an hazard imo.
The restaurant has quite big space, nice ambience. The food is pretty good. Chicken and lamb taste not bad. Friendly staff. I order Marinated chicken breast from the grill for 15Euro. Love the rice. Only i think the portion a little bit too small :)
