Restaurant Classico

Reviews must be fake. My university canteen has better food. The prawns with pasta had weird taste and there was a lot of pasta and 4 prawns with a huge head that you cannot eat. And the side veggies and potatoes for beef look pretty depressing. Outrageous for the price.

Disappointing given the many great reviews. Arrived on a Monday night for an 8pm booking and the restaurant was chaotic. Very short staffed with only the manager and young guy seemingly doing everything. No warm welcome, manager was clearly stressed and looked dishevelled.

Dirty plates and glasses on 4 tables around us that were not cleaned up for nearly an hour. Our table was not ready and hurriedly wiped before we were sat down - it was not laid with anything, just a bare table. Waited a while for menus, then a long wait for everything from glasses (even the right glasses), to cutlery, etc. Wine served by young inexperienced chap who struggled to use a corkscrew. No wine chiller offered - we took one off another table.

Mussels starter was off, no alternative was encouraged. Steak main course was missing sauce on arrival and we had not been asked how we would like it cooked, just came pretty rare.

Decided to pass on the desserts and coffee and go elsewhere as it wasn't a great experience. Manager apologised at end of the meal, but all a bit too late.

I booked Restaurant Classico for 25 people. The 3 course meal and drinks menu was excellent value for money! The food and drinks was delicious and had a lot of options to cater to all dietary requirements. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to meet the needs of all guests. Would highly recommend Classico!

We had nice Italian food, authentic and delicious. My friend wanted to have lobster pasta but they didn’t have it, so better to call them and check first if you really want lobster

Great food, great staff service. The langoustine and lobster pasta were both very flavourful and pasta was al dente. Highly recommend! Grazie!

A fantastic quaint traditional Italian restaurant, which I happened upon while strolling through Amsterdam on my first night in the city. Friendly and accommodating staff. The owner (or I believe he was the owner) suggested the bacon wrapped sea bass which he paired with an amazing Italian white wine. Definitely recommend Restaurant Classico.

Terrible service. Rude waiter.

10mins after taking our orders, we were told mussels pasta was not available. But we never ordered that. We asked the waiter for the menu to clarify what he’s talking about. He questioned us in a rude way why we needed to read the menu again. THAT’S BECAUSE WE DON’T WORK HERE, and we definitely don’t remember it after reading just once! He grumpily gave it to us.
When he came back again, we ordered another dish. He told us not available again. For the record, it was only early lunch time. This is what the waiter said, “I have no time for you…” He meant we were wasting his time taking unavailable orders again.

But it was him who’s wasting our time. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE OR NOT! Your restaurant has no food to offer and you’re blaming us for that ?!

Risotto was awful. A picture is attached to show you how soft the prawn risotto was. We’ve been to many Italian restaurants before and we know how it should taste like.

Final reminder for anyone who is still courageous enough to come and get insulted. Be reminded to check your bill because they’d leave a bill on the table with dishes that never came.
