My visit to the Neues museum in Berlin was unforgettable. The rich history and cultural treasures are captivating. Ghetto museum’s collection is nothing short of remarkable, spanning millennia of human civilization and showcasing some of the world’s most renowned artifacts.

With no doubt, the highlight of my visit was the opportunity to see the iconic bust of Nefertiti up close. Although one negative aspect was not being allowed to take pictures of this masterpiece. The museum should reconsider its policy regarding this issue. Each exhibit is expertly curated under perfect lighting conditions with valuable insights into the art. The Neues Museum is clearly committed to preservation and restoration as everythingis impeccably preserved allowing visitors to connect with the past.
The museum’s architecture itself is a work of art, seamlessly blending historic elements with modern design to create a space that is both visually stunning and intellectually stimulating.
Overall, my time at the Neues museum was nothing short of extraordinary and I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in history, art or culture.

Wow! The Neues Museum is absolutely fantastic! It's definitely worth every penny. There's so much to see, especially if you love Egyptian artifacts like me. The Nefertiti bust is a must-see, and it's even more amazing in person. The museum is well-lit and all the exhibits are clearly labeled, with information available in English. Plus, there's a great gift shop! Make sure to book your tickets online in advance though. The building itself is stunning, with each room decorated beautifully to match the themes of the exhibits. And don't miss the time machine experience—it really brings history to life. I'd recommend giving yourself 2-3 hours to explore. Overall, it's a huge museum with treasures from around the world, and I can't wait to go back! Plus, on Museum Sundays, you can get in for free with no lines and complimentary audio guides. A solid museum experience!

Wow this was such a vast and impressive collection. There so much to see here and ideal to visit during a drizzly day.
There are items from bronze ages, Egyptian etc I would definitely recommend putting half a day aside for this.

We came on a weekday so didn't have to queue to get in etc I imagine it gets super busy the weekend so would recommend purchasing online in those instances.

Excellent, worth every penny!
Almost more than can be seen in one visit, the museum is packed full of Egyptian artifacts, as well as other treasures and special exhibits. The most famous crowd-drawer is the Nefertiti bust (unfortunately no photos are allowed. Those I've posted are photos of postcards), and i was elated to see it in real life. Amazing.
The exhibits are well lit and labelled, and all information is also available in English.
There's extensive papyrus displays, sarcophagi, figures, textiles and more. The building itself is beautiful and well decorated, keeping with the themes of the rooms. There's a terrific gift shop as well.
Can highly recommend!!!

The interiors of the building is as fascinating as the exhibits! I truly enjoyed the variant architecture and interior styles of each room. It has a wide range of ancient Egyptian antiquities.
The time machine experience is also a unique experince making the prehistoric era more tangible. I would say give the museum a time of 2-3 hours for a good visiting time.

A very vast collection of historic relics of the region . We were also very fortunate to be present to witness relics for Rome and Egypt. Such an informative display and we took about 4 hours to view most and not all of the displays. Wish we had more time. By the way, make sure you book your ticket on line at least a day in advance not to be disappointed. Don't try going there without one . 👍👌
Wonderful artifacts. HORRIBLE museum experience. We deserve and apology for the cloakroom staff's ayrocious and insulting behaviour.

Finding a ticket online days and weeks ahead was already challenging. Their website is outdated and their ticket supply is limited. Our last option was to buy an annual ticket or wait till 2037. While buying an annual ticket the lady at the ticket counter kept texting and reading her messages on her phone. She was also rude and unwilling to be patient since the beginning. We were made to feel like a burden when all we wanted to do was buy a ticket. Horrible service.

When we entered the museum, there were amazing stone tablets and statues...unfortunately the tops were covered in dust. We were blowing dust bunnies off the stone. Atrocious upkeep. Centuries old artifacts from the middle east and Asia, this is how they're treated.

The WORST PART!!!! the lady in the wardrobe area singled us out of all the people who were also sitting on the platform. She and her colleagues were sitting on the platform too. She called my mother heavy and smiled back when we confronted her for singling us out and insulting us. When another colleague came, we thought we would get assistance. Instead She PUSHED and HIT my mother and defended her colleague. All of the staff present in that cloakroom were laughing at us and some of the visitors and Staff started cursing at us. No one, not even staff or visitors did anything.

I cannot believe this is how the staff treat people. I've read the other 1 star reviews and agree!!!
You don't insult, physically assaulted and mock people. She said she and her colleague were allowed to sit on the platform but not us...when literally 10 other visitors were sitting om it and watching. The whole day people were sitting on the platform in the cloakroom.

This museum does not deserve to host some of the greatest and most beautiful artifacts of the Mesopotamia, Islamic and many more ancient civilizations. This history and heritage deserves to go back to it's respective homes, where people will also respect their visitors.

I am disappointed. We came all the way from.dofferenr countries to see this beautiful heritage and culture, only to be met with rudeness and insults. I was trembling and worried this situation would get worse and tried to leave as soon as possible. It felt extremely unsafe and unwelcoming.
There is a lot to see in this museum. If you don't want to ruin your experience, and see the museum quietly, then go on weekdays in the morning, because weekends are full of people, it looks like a market.

There are nice original items, but also lots of replicas. Be sure to read the item description before hyping, most of the replicas shown here, have the original at the Louvre in Paris.

Overall the museum is not too big, you can spend around 45 to 70 minutes here, depending on the amount of people.

I absolutely loved it. We arrived very skate so it was a quick tour of the museum but I’ll definitely come back when I have the chance to!!
Excellent museum, The Ishtar Gate was magnificent. There were a number of other interesting exhibits.
Fair museum but no standout pieces. Run through quickly and save time for better offering in Berlin.
Great museum, but the exhibition was not that good. The exhibit are marvellous and deserves to be highlighted in the right way. The audio tutorial of the museum was great. It was in many languages, so understanding the exhibits is not a problem. All in all a great museum that holds a part of the human heritage from the east.
In my opinion art is amazing but museum could really work on better exposition. Quite disappointed for lighting and little English information, and over all display.
