We visited the lovely area and was hypothesized by the beautiful smell from this bakery.. The staff beautiful and happy, the space so cute and inviting and the flake factor on the pastry was a 11/10 ..try one of their toasted sandwiches, the sausage rolls and the delicious pretzel buns.. of all we saw in our visit to Vancouver this was a great end. Thank you Swiss From the Torontonians with love 💞
Highly recommend this bakery/cafe. I had a latte and a turkey bacon and it was delicious. The servers are kind, polite and very helpful. Great place to have a team meeting. (7 of us order drinks, sandwiches and desert and came to $73! - An incredible deal.

The……crème…….bruleee croissant!!!! Uffffffffffff. I love Swiss bakery. It’s like mom’s lemonade. A familiar taste. It’s always good. Homey and welcoming. After all, it’s mom!! That’s how this place feels like. A neighbourhood gem. A lovely cozy right at home feeling.

I think this is a small family business .. I visited BC last year for a week and this bakery is just behind the building where I stayed. The owner and servers are really nice. They serve their bread fresh, sometimes warm!! Love their 🥐 and 🍩!!!!
This is my bestfriend’s to go to breakfast place. Would definitely come back again when I get a chance!!!

I was really hoping this would be a nice little bakery, but their baked goods are just not very good. I bought a cinnamon bun and a croissant and was extremely disappointed by both.

The croissant was more of a bun than it was a pastry. Zero flakiness, kind of crumby, no discernable layers. I suspect they didn't use much butter and they didn't laminate their dough. Truly a terrible croissant and I don't think they can actually call it one. The one thing it had going for it was the dough was the right level of saltiness.

The cinnamon bun was equally bad. It was very light in terms of cinnamon flavor, basically raw in the middle, and had no chew or gluten development. The bun didn't "pull apart" at all, more so just broke apart because of the crumbiness.

I really wanted to like this place because of the proximity to where I live, but I don't think I'll be going back.

I ordered a cake on Uber for my moms birthday, but it was nothing like the image on their website. Gave them a call and they kindly offered to exchanged for the design I was hoping for. Thank you Karen and the team for helping me out!

Pros: Convenient location beside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Occasionally there is a cashier who speaks French, so you can almost feel as if you’re in France. Nice seating area inside and on the patio. Cons: Very limited selection of things to eat on a weekday after the lunch rush. Washrooms are sometimes dirty. There is often a long queue to get to the cashier. Pastries are average; one would naturally expect more, given the high prices for food here. The vegetarian quiche is shockingly bland for something that costs around $14.

This is our first time ordering Uber takeout from you. For the prices you command, it doesn't feel like the quality is there. For a $17.45 crepe, I would hope that packaging would be better so that half of the crepe doesn't stick to the paper that it was housed in. It literally fell apart. The fruit cup it came with wasn't the freshest either (many grapes were uncomfortably soft). The sandwiches and pistachio chocolate croissant seemed to be fine but the crepe/fruit part made a mediocre impression for a $48 breakfast.

If you are looking for a cozy coffee spot in Mount Pleasant, definitely stop by. This local coffee shop and bakery has a warm atmosphere and reasonable prices (slightly higher). It's perfect for a quick bite or grab and go, not the best for sit down dinning. Outdoor seating is available but not outstanding. The food offerings are decent, although the sandwiches could use more flavour and the artisan bread and treat options were limited.

However, with 30 years of serving the community, it's a reliable choice. Please note that they now only operate on weekdays. Overall, a decent option for those in the area. I can't vouch for the entire menu, as I haven't tried everything myself.
If you’re in the area, looking for a quick bite, definitely stop by!

I often go in the morning for breakfast, but I was disappointed to pay almost $7 for the ham and cheese croissant when it had a tiny slice of ham, and no cheese inside, only a little bit on top. I went at 9am and the croissant itself was not fresh, so I’m guessing from yesterday. Not fair business to charge the full price for that and I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

Crème brûlée croissant! It was delicious! Best cream filled croissant I have ever tried. Croissant was light and flaky and the filling creamy. We also tried a donut and a peanut butter cookie and both were really good. A bit on pricy side but worth it. Will come back for a pretzels next time!

Cute cafe, interesting cake combinations..tried the black sesame one which was nice. Expresso was very bitter and service could have been friendlier.

Came for lunch and had the most lovely ham and cheese crepe! The ingredients tasted super fresh, and the black forest ham added extra flavour compared to crepes I've had before.

The interior was lovely, and I can't wait to try the sandwiches whilst I'm here too. Would recommend to anyone in downtown.

Faubourg - it's my type of the coffee shop! I enjoy my cappuccino every time I am close by! What a fantastic taste of a French style and atmosphere overall! Highly recommend!

This location has been here many years servicing the local community. Plenty of savoury and sweet options with friendly owners and staff to help. Nice amount of seating for a pleasant bite and drink.

The matcha and the lavender cake are good. But that chocolate cake though… it’s so dry… felt they left it in the oven 15min it’s to long. It was so dry and not pleasant to eat…. Yuzu and lemon tart is ok.

4.5 - A cozy little French Cafe with a great selection of fresh and creatively made pastries and sandwiches. We come here quite a bit. Our usuals are the double chocolate pistachio croissant and the vegetarian spinach and feta croissant and we love them both.

Their Americanos could be slightly better, but that's because I tend to like my coffee quite strong, so usually I get my Americano with an extra shot of espresso, I find the single to be a little watery for me.

The atmosphere and environment is really lovely and tastefully decorated and all the windows gives you a cozy place to sit, observe and just Be. I find the staff varies, as sometimes when we walk in there's a warm and attentive friendly greeting and sometimes there isn't.

There's also a great space outside to sit if you enjoy a nice chilly morning with your coffee cup and pastry watching the locals walk by :)

Visited their W41st Ave. location in Kerrisdale expecting to be impressed. The place was busy, and the staff there were shorthanded. Faubourg is affected by the very common problem in Vancouver, not enough people interested in working in the restaurant industry... Despite being super busy, staff were diligent and explained that drinks in particular, might take a few minutes to be prepared. No problem there. Ordered a Nutella filled crêpe, a couple of macarons, and a double baked pistachio chocolate croissant. In general, the 3 were ok, but not spectacular. The croissant in particular, probably better when recently baked, but by mid day just ordinary, and therefore not worth the price in my opinion. Will have to give their other specialties a try. The cakes, tarts and savoury treats look great, and I'm really hoping that the experience will be more exciting...

Great little coffee shop with a nice outdoor space. Located across from the art gallery. Beautiful decor inside with plenty of seating. Americano was strong, the way I like it. Prices are a little high. $5.35 for the almond croissant.

I visited this French bakery shop at the heart of Kerrisdale yesterday seeing the pretty pastries, eclairs, tarts on display. There was a long queue inside.
The ambience of the place is nice and relaxed. There is a big seating area inside as well as a patio at the back. We tried their decadent tri-chocolate mousse. It was delicious. Most of the pastries cost about 7.6$ which I found to be quite expensive.
I would love to try some of their other pastries in future.

Attractive decor and setup. Their pastries are only ok. Latte was quite disappointing (taste like it was watered down). Perhaps their cakes and other products are better? May be a while before I return for another try.

I picked up a Swiss Bakery Pretzel and Pretzel Bun from Wholefoods, they are super yummy and I absolutely love them!! So much I have to make a trip to their bakey which I am sure is awesome.
They're great as a snack or even I used some Avocado, egg, spinach, tomatoes and cracked black pepper with chilli flakes to make the most epic Pretzel sandwich know to mankind!
Wholefoods themselves do a great Support network or selling local Vancouver-based business produce which is awesome!
