Escape Manor is easily a top tier escape room experience!!! We have been impressed with the Hamilton location prior, and Toronto is just as awesome!!! Does not disappoint . . . I suggest all rooms available, but Cabin 13 has a particular fun creep factor that the others do not possess. Zander - the supervisor and actor of said room during our visit, fabulously managed the settings yet kept in character the entire time!

Don’t miss out! Food is absolutely amazing too! We shared the nachos, I had the beef sandwich, my friends the club, chicken and brie, and the macaroni - all awesome! Drinks unique and wonderfully thematic to the experiences!!! Luke, our server, was darn cool, efficient, and simply awesome!!!
Nova was extremely amazing. Kept the energies high and guided us with the game really well. Keep it up! Love the place but could be priced a bit better since we buy food and drinks anyways so 160$ is a bit too expensive for 4 people for just an hour. Our drinks bill was probably more than 150$ on top so 160$ for an hour was a bit too much
Honestly fantastic. All I can say.

We've done about 15 escape rooms across Ontario and really enjoyed this one. The fact that there's a bar there and you can bring drinks into the room is wild. It felt very relaxed and amazingly fun. The escape room itself was challenging but definitely not one of the hardest we've done by far, really great puzzles and theme though!

We also did axe throwing after. HAYLEY IS A SUPERSTAR AND ONE OF MY NEW BEST FRIENDS. If we were local we would join the league just to hang out with her. She made our experience so exciting. The space is great and the variety of axes and games she took us through were fantastic. I brought my boyfriend here for a pre birthday dinner adventure and it was hands down an amazing experience.

We loved our experience at Cabin 13! We wished we would have discovered Escape Manor way earlier, as it could be an amazing go-to place with friends during the cold nights of winter. Escape Manor offers board games, axe throwing, escape rooms, and a seating area with a fantastic drink and beverages menu that covers a variety of tastes and preferences. Also, the ambience was cozy with a mysterious vibe, and the staff made our experience even much more fun with their friendly jokes, artistry, and helpfulness. We will definitely be back!
great rooms, with each presenting something different. The crew there were amazing and helpful throughout, Jasenya being a highlight for us. Enjoyed ourselves so much we went 3 times in 4 days during our vacation. Can’t recommend enough
Fantastic studio with a great variety of courses.
Took Hand Building with Thomas and had such a fantastic time building a mix of pieces based on different techniques. This is a great studio that values creativity and fun in a low stress environment.

Thomas is an awesome teacher - you can always adapt the techniques to build a piece that suits you. He is super fun, caring and is even one of the competitors on CBC's Great Canadian Pottery Throwdown!

Can't wait to get my pieces back from glaze firing! And sign up for the next course :)

After searching for a good watercolour class for over a year, I finally landed at Create Art. The class was/is exactly what I was looking for. Stu teaches a quickly paced class that covers colour theory and technique. Each session has several projects that Stu guides us through with his vast knowledge, patience and great sense of humour.
Now that I am fully retired, I am hoping spend some more time at Create Art by taking another course or two. Truly a fabulous place to learn at any age. The vibe is positive, professional and fun, I highly recommend Create Art Studio.

Just finished a 6 week beginner pottery course with Thomas. I had a great time and learned so much! Here are a couple of my completed project and the rest are waiting for their final firing before I can pick them up, can't wait to see the finished results of the rest! Thank you Thomas for such a great experience
Intro to watercolour painting with Stu was better than I had anticipated! I learned so much and have such a new appreciation for this medium. Can’t wait to take another class!!!
Hats off to the actors, they have to work with some cringe material. If you're into sitcom-style jokes, like saying completely irrelevant lines just to set up a dumb punchline, maybe you'll enjoy it. We were stuffed into a giant hotel conference room with the lingering smell of nasty banquet food. Like a low-budget wedding.
This company must make a killing at $50-60 a ticket, only to put on what seemed like was just a polished high school play. Over-the-top characters and costumes, contrived dialogue where "clues" are dropped that we, the audience, are then asked to contemplate while getting watered down $10 drinks from hotel cart. This wasn't a brain-teaser - it was more like, were you paying attention to this garbage play? Honestly, we couldn't care less about who murdered who. This was no different from the high school whodunnit's we've had to sit through, for the love of family. Except last week we got fleeced under the bright lights of a stuffy conference room on a Saturday night.
Oh, and the entire cast is white. Come ON!
I hope the company pays their actors well. I can't imagine having to spew these yuk yuk lines in Value Village costumes in front of hundreds of people. Demoralizing.
Clues are all over the place, very confusing escape rooms and NO FUN.

Tried their “Farm” escape room with my girlfriend. They were rushing us, they started off by sending us in different rooms with one room having clues and other having a lock. They did not ask who wants to go in what room, I wanted to go to the other room and take a lead, but they just rushed us. Also after finding the keys their lock was messed up and won’t open with that key.

The next room had 5 different locks and there was no sequence to which lock to work on and the clues were all over the place.

DID NOT HAVE ANY FUN, wasted my money! :(
We had a fun and great experience at "The Dracula library" room, with super friendly staff! Highly recommended this place to go with kids .
We will surely come again!
I have to admit. This place is awesome. We tried our best but to no avail. It’s intellectually stimulating.

It was a good place to socialize with new people. They did have a few board games to explore. But i wish they had non-trivial question card games.

I had a butter beer which was very very sweet. I don’t think i could have done it if it weren’t for the charcuterie board.

Even when they were short staffed, they tried their best to serve us. But it was a bit stressful in the end, as it took a long time to checkout. However this is only an improvement and not a complaint 😂🙈
Great time. Went to the captive escape rooms with my work team and we did the Blind Tiger room. Puzzles were fun and engaging. Staff is great and very kind.

My group and I definitely had a fun time doing the Wine Cellar escape room. Our host played the part very well and we enjoyed the challenging puzzles. We managed to make it out in time and the story was very interesting. The only thing is that the room is a little dark and they don’t provide you with flashlights so be prepared to use your phone’s flashlights. I went back with another group to try the “Death Row” room and it was so much fun. The puzzles weren’t too bad and the actors/actresses really made the experience worthwhile.

Amazing time at Escape Manor! Went for the axe throwing, and it was a great time, especially for a group. The location was pretty accessible, close to the streetcar within walking distance. Love how there's a good variety of activity options here. I would definitely come back again to try out their escape rooms!
I had an incredible experience at Captive Escape Room in downtown Toronto. Doug, our guide, was instrumental in making it memorable. His assistance was invaluable, offering us extra time and patiently handling all the hints we required. Doug's dedication and helpfulness truly enhanced our escape room adventure. Highly recommend!

We had our team building event at Create Art Studio. It was s smooth transaction in setting up the event and the team at the studio was extremely responsive and accommodating.
As first timers trying our hand at pottery Thomas was extremely patient with us and it was a wonderful experience.
LOVED IT !

It was a great time for the team and I am sure you will be seeing us again and also some other folks from our office !
My wife and I did 13 doors and just about completed it (with an additional minute given to us). Really enjoyable.

We've done a number of escape rooms and different venues and found this one to be well put together. This room was rated at 7/10 difficulty, which we understand is their easiest, but it was still challenging. I'd say this was classic escape room, lots of challenges, some simple, some more challenging. Lots of fun.

We want to go back for the next room, the farm, said to be slightly more difficult.

Great experience for our team building event. Stuart (Stu) was helpful from the beginning of the booking process to end result painting. Thanks!

The escape room was a great experience. Very well designed, that is the only reason it gets 2 start because we did enjoy that

However the service is absolutely terrible here. Wasn’t overly busy there were a bunch of empty seating areas yet it took forever to get our drinks, had to remind them about drinks that were missed. Place a order at 9 for food and we waited honestly almost 2 hours for our food to the point we had to cancel our food

Unfortunate because we truly wanted to come back and enjoy another room but with this service it’s hard to support this business
This was a fun experience, but it was overpriced and I’ve been to much better productions. The actors were very animated and did a good job, the interaction with the audience was cute. Too much with the puns, it got exhausting. The murder mystery seemed very disorganized not really well written, there was not enough interaction with the characters because they talked so much and dragged the plot out way too long.
The food was ok but the desserts/fruit were terrible! They basically bought cupcakes and brownies from Walmart which the hotel ought to be embarrassed. The Buffett was nice but again way overpriced for what they served. Also I felt really rushed through the dinner . I think it’s ridiculous that you had to pay for pop.
We had fun, but I would not book this again for the price I paid.
Went to celebrate a 50th birthday with a group of family and friends. The food was great and the show was both fun and engaging. I would highly recommend Mysteriously Yours, it was a really great time.
A very fun, creepy experience! Where Dark Things Dwell is one of the most unique escape experiences I’ve ever participated in. The puzzles are challenging but there are very helpful hints available should you need them! The whole experience leans toward creepy rather than scary but be warned, you will be expected to enter pitch black building with no idea wait awaits inside… (A big thank you to the actors, specifically the one playing the role of Sam, for ensuring comfort of our team when a member started to get too frightened , all while staying in character the whole time!) If it is at all rainy/humid on the day of your experience, I would highly recommend wearing boots because the village does get a little muddy in the rain! Overall, a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
We (couple) opted out of the buffet dinner, we caught a glimpse of it on the way in, looked like your basics pasta, potatoes, chicken and salmon covered in cream sauce. Instead we popped into the Old Spaghetto Factory and walked the 25 mins or so up Younge St. We sat at a round table with 8 others who also opted out of the dinner. The seats are very close together and the water glasses were dirty (lipstick stains) but there was a ballot with your characters on it, pens and paper on the tables for us. There was a mini bar you could buy drink tickets and cocktails etc around $10/$12 each. Bartender was rude and didn't smile.
Then out come these 6 characters, dressed up in costume and 100% in character the entire time. They were FANTASTIC and made us all feel welcome and even asked a lot of us to say a line or play a part. At the end of the 2ish hours you make your guess as to "whodunnit" and if you guess the right character and motive you could win a little prize. The show was awesome, lots of puns. There were some children who seemed a tad bored. They recognized everyone for their special events which was nice (our anniversary of dating). Overall the actors rocked the show and I'm glad we saved some $$ opting out of the buffet.
I had an absolutely fantastic time at Where.Dark Things Dwell at Black Creek Pioneer Village! The attention to detail in the props, sets, and costumes was truly exceptional and helped create an immersive experience that truly made me feel like I was part of the story. The characters were all wonderful and brought the experience to life, adding an extra layer of excitement and intrigue. Overall, the execution of this escape room was top notch and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling date night or family night out!

We were in a group of 6 and had a lot of fun during the experience. The experience was interactive, eerie and quite challenging at times. only 2 of 10 teams were successful in completing the full challenge. I would definitely recommend this game to others!
The Where Dark Things Dwell experience at Black Creek Pioneer Village is INCREDIBLE! So clever, creepy, and challenging. Went with experienced escape room visitors, and they were blown away, too. Absolutely recommend this! And the actors are all fantastic. All staff were so great. Thanks for the fun!
Saturday September 23 at 9:00pm - The date of my first experience. While walking out of the establishment without being victorious, my friends and I were quite enamoured with our overall experience. The staff and actors were great and helped us feel immersed into the game. Not only this game didn’t beat off the escape room path, the inclusion of the outdoors was a welcome addition. Going to different houses, picking up the different resources, and solving the different riddles was amazing.

The only thing that we all agreed upon was that it was collectively difficult.

But don’t be discouraged, it was an amazing experience to do with anyone!

Be ready to be scared!
So much fun, a bit spooky, challenging puzzles, cool location, interesting story, and good actors. The puzzles were very well done, letting you explore the whole town to slowly build it all together, and a lot of work and creativity went into the puzzles to make them. I was in one of the two groups that got to the end that night, mine being first. Kinda upsetting that our group got nothing (a ribbon saying "you win" or something would have been nice), but other then that, it was a great experience and I wish I could forget all the solutions and go again.

On behalf of the Faculty of Arts Orinetation Committee at Toronto Met University, if you are planning a a painting event book Create Art Studio!

Throughout the planning process Stuart was very involved in making sure our event would run smoothly and be fun and engaging for all attendees! Once the event itself came around the Create Art Studio team was extremely welcoming to all students involved in the session. It was so wonderful to see connections being made between students while working together to create such a beautiful painting.

The final turnout was so beautiful. We will be hanging it up in the Student Experence Centre at TMU as a reminder of what beautiful things can come out of working together and supporting each other as a team!

Thank you so much Create Art Studio!
Very challenging but a ton of fun! A great variety of puzzles. Staff/actors were interactive and made it even more fun. We had great weather, so that helped. Over a dozen puzzles to solve so best to do in larger group and split up!

Such an amazing local studio! I’ve done a handful of different classes and workshops, and they’ve all been awesome. They have loads of options, from acrylics to digital art to pottery - I wish I had more time to try more!

Paint club is a great way to “find time to paint”. It’s unstructured (everyone works on their own projects), and it’s a great option if you want to work on your own stuff in the company of others - and Stu’s incredibly helpful and constantly giving tips and ideas if you want support. Great vibe.

The multi week classes are also SO good. A great mix of technical and practical (mostly practical), and you walk away with a handful of pieces.

I also love that they have one-session workshops, as they’re perfect when you can’t commit to a 6 week program.

Drop-in ceramic painting on the weekends is awesome for the kids - a great rainy day activity.

Everyone is super friendly, helpful and the space is bright and welcoming. Highly recommend :)
My wife and I had a blast there, doing The Farm. It was tough with just the two of us, but we managed to escape as the buzzer rang.

One thing to note with this escape room is that there is some basic algebra required. While we didn't get slowed down by it (I'd even say we made up for lost time elsewhere), it may not be suitable for people who struggle with math. Still a ton of fun if you can handle it though 😁
One of the best escape rooms that we’ve been to. It was so much fun and the actors were great and the story was fantastic. Would definitely recommend it to everyone I one who’s looking to do something different and fun
The best escape room in downtown Toronto! Two of my best friends and I came to Captive to celebrate my friend's birthday, and we had such a fun time throughout the game. We did the "Charlotte" theme, and we loved that the escape room was designed in an attic setting (we did get a little bit cold tho). Such a fun game with different rooms inside, and a variety of different puzzles to solve throughout the game. The puzzles were well thought out and good balance of difficulty.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, they also have board games, leaderboard, photo wall available. Can't wait to come back for another game sometimes.
A fabulous dinner experience. You will leave satisfied not so much by the food (nothing extraordinary, though I tried just the vegetarian options in the buffet) but the joy of witnessing a Sherlock-ian mystery unfold over 2 hours. You actually get to follow the clues, guess whodunnit anf get rewarded if you're right. Make sure to let them know if you're celebrating your anniversary, birthday etc. They'll be acknowledging every such instance in a nice little way.
Good experience, food is okay at best. Since it’s called dinner and theatre, I would expect a little more. Drink service was very slow. We had to get the wait staffs attention in order to get drinks. The show was entertaining and the acting was good. It’s a very unique and intimate experience, the actors come around and sit at each table in character and interact with the guest. Some guest get asked to participate by contributing a line or two.
I have been to Mysteriously Yours a few times and every time I go it's always a great time. I really enjoy the food and entertainment they provide and would highly recommend it.
Absolutely love this place! My friend and I went to 2 shows in 2 years: Murder by the Books and Murder at Sea (haven't tried dinner with show).

The cast is engaging & hilarous. They'll walk around and chat with each table in character, improvise, create a nice comfortable atmosphere, and make current relatable jokes. If you guess the murderer, you can win prizes too!

Great place to celebrate and event. Just let them know when booking, and they'll give the birthday guest/anniversary couple/bachelor(ette) a one liner in their script.

Note: they don't have a parking lot. I went to indoor lots both times at 75 Holly St & 68 Merton St. Both are Green Parking, $6 after 6pm.

Hope this helps!
