This was a pretty good museum! For the space that was provided, which is already big as is, there was just TOO MUCH to look at and admire, that it made the space a little cramped in certain parts. But you have to admire the genius that was Leonardo da Vinci. Also I asked about the videos introducing a lot of his biography and the inventions if they were available online (like YouTube), and unfortunately, no. You can ONLY catch them here! So stop by and visit!
By the time I got passed the long 1-hour check-in with Hawaiian, and then another 30-minutes for security and customs (much quicker than Hawaiian Airline's line), I came to this place, but they were pretty much out of everything on the menu item except for their Karai Ramen was the only thing they had. This would normally not be a problem, but I was sick, and one little sip had me coughing like crazy. Without my sickness though, I'm pretty sure this would actually hit the spot, and wouldn't be too spicy at all. Couldn't even order the set, which comes with 2 fried dumplings, because they were totally out. By the time I got to the line, the boss told the cashier "this is the last guy." Really? They were that far out of ingredients? Either there's something with the logistics, or they are that popular. Quite surprised. Regardless of the issues behind the kitchen, the staff were still very courteous, and the food is still not bad, but it's just regular pork broth, doused with a lot of Chili Oil, nothing special. The tray return is just on the other side, off to the corner.
Haven't been here in years. Tons of places to check out. Is it much different than most other places with big chains? Probably not, BUT it does have a couple unique gems you can't find anywhere else. Great place to enjoy the outdoors and sunshine though.
One of the bigger Japanese Gardens in the area. Within this garden, they have several key buildings that showcase how traditional Japanese architecture was. There's the Shoya House, Pebble Garden, and Bonsai Garden too. Really beautiful! Thought I'd see more Cherry blossoms, but what I did see was still worth coming!
The area leading up to the center circle is nice. If you go left from here, you'll end at the Japanese Garden, but I was told to go right to see the tulips, and I think that's the better route to take. But here is the Nexus, and a good one at that! There's a map to show you everything, so you can plan out where to go, and the crystal fountain is an interesting piece. Of course, it's surrounded by beautiful lavenders and other flowers worth checking out too!
Plus, just beyond this, is where you cross the path for the tiny rail tracks! It's pretty cool!
