Perfectly situated in Sydney. Enjoy the different types of gardens and the views. We spent about 3 hours walking the grounds, but much less time could be spent.
The foreshore reserve is so fortunate to be facing the setting sun. Perfect for an afternoon by the bay.

Being coming to this spot for over 20 years. Still a great place for walks, swimming and even watching New Year's fireworks

Great area with wonderful views. Parking nearby can be a bit pricy so it's generally a good idea to park at the train station and walk over. The park is well maintained and the beachside has good views of both the Melbourne skyline and all the ships in the bay. Good spot for a picnic or relaxing walk.
"Exploring the Botanic Garden in Sydney is a serene journey through nature's masterpiece. As I entered, the vibrant colors of meticulously curated flora welcomed me, creating an instant sense of tranquility. The garden's layout is a testament to thoughtful design, offering a harmonious blend of open spaces, winding paths, and themed sections.

The diversity of plant species is awe-inspiring, and each corner of the garden unfolds a new chapter in the story of botanical wonder. From the delicate blooms to the towering trees, the garden is a living tapestry that showcases nature's artistry. The manicured lawns invite visitors to pause, breathe, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them.

One of the highlights of the Botanic Garden is the opportunity for a calming walk. The well-maintained paths guide you through shaded areas, where the dappled sunlight adds a gentle warmth to the atmosphere. It's a perfect escape from the urban hustle—a sanctuary where time seems to slow down.

The waterfront areas within the garden provide not only a visual treat but also a peaceful ambiance. The serene ponds, coupled with the backdrop of the city skyline, create a picturesque setting that is both refreshing and rejuvenating.

The Botanic Garden is not just a place to see; it's a place to experience. Whether you're an avid botanist or just seeking a quiet retreat, this garden offers a haven for reflection and connection with nature. It's a gem in the heart of Sydney, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural world."

Extensive reserve along the coast at Brighton Beach. Acting as a buffer between the road and the beach itself, it provides space for parking, picnics and has public toilets. Views over Port Phillip Bay are awesome and a great spot to watch the sunset. There are limited safe places to cross Beach Rd / Esplanade, your best bet is to use the lights at the South Rd intersection near Brighton Beach station.

Nice viewpoint out over the lake. Can see a good distance in all directions. Can get a bit windy(chilly) up there.
The real royal botanical of a city.
Wonderful place with many amazing spots.
Find lots of flowers, indoor flowers, or just barbeque in the garden or walk exercise around this huge garden.
Amazing view with the water too or to the opera house.
I highly recommend visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens!
Wrapped around Sydney Harbour and adjacent to the Sydney Opera House, the gardens occupy one of Sydney's most spectacular positions. It is one of Sydney’s most beautiful and alluring destinations, with everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the abundant natural beauty.

I had a really great time here. It is a beautiful place with a lovely view. And I finished my observation diary assessment here. you can see the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge here, so you can feel the different side of the Opera House.

From the research:
Established in 1816, it is the oldest scientific institution in the country and is home to an outstanding collection of plants from Australia and overseas.

From the provocative rare and threatened plants of the world to the romantic rose garden, the themed garden areas show the diverse beauty of nature.

Special features include Cadi Jam Ora: First Encounters, a garden display that remembers and acknowledges the Cadigal - the original inhabitants of Sydney's city centre - and their relationship with this land.

Went to show my Sydney friends the unique and popular Brighton Bathing Boxes and it was a beautiful day to remember. There’s construction going on so parking is limited but still accessible.
I love visiting botanical gardens within major cities. It felt like a bit of an escape from the hustle and bustle of the Circular Quay. While there's still plenty of things going on outside, the beautiful surroundings, manicured to promote peace and relaxation, helped to slow me down, and drink up the scenery and stillness. Grateful for my stroll there 🙏🏽🤙🏽
Great little park. Ideal for a kids party if you can get a table early. Parking is expensive at $5 per hour. Short walk from Woolies (free) car park.

There is plenty of room for everyone. A lovely area for a picnic, BBQ, or if you prefer to sit and relax at the cafe.
There's a playground for the kids, bathroom facilities, all of this right on the river.
Magnificent Royal Gardens. We spent hours walking the paths and enjoying the Australian flora and fauna! It was very lovely to walk along the harbor and get a different view of the Opera house. The gift shop was also a great place for gifts and treats for yourself! I try to go to Botanical Gardens in all cities and this is one of the best!

One of my favourite lookouts anywhere. It is slightly amusing, though, that there is a big plaque commemorating the opening of the northbound carriageway here at a rest area on the southbound carriageway. Perhaps that's a reflection on the shortage of rest areas which were built on the northbound carriageway.
Quite lovely to walk around.
Lots of different areas and good photo opportunities.
Would have given five stars though there weren’t many bubble taps to get water especially on a hot day.
Would go again and recommend going here.

We visited this nice lookout point. The view overlooks Lake George. There was ample parking during our visit. It was nice to have a seat and take in the scenery.
I recently visited the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney, and it was an absolutely enchanting experience! The lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and serene atmosphere made it a perfect escape from the bustling city. The garden's well-maintained paths and informative signage made it easy to explore and learn about a wide variety of plants and ecosystems. The views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge from within the garden were breathtaking. It's a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, photographers, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. I can't wait to return!
Very nice small park near the beach and close to suburb . Located in the Chelsea suburb of Victoria. My toddler enjoyed the swings . Thank you ! Parents who were present with their children were very friendly and respectful. Children mingled and said hello … you could tell they’ve been taught well ! Just beside the park there’s amenities and area appears safe .
Visited this beautiful playground with my family earlier this year. It has a variety of play equipment for kids aged 2-10 years including slides, stairs, swings, ladders and a cute lighthouse theme. It’s right next to the beach and has a good amount of shade to cover the play area. Parking is available on street and timed.
Love the mcg home of the Tiger's.

Really gives a soothing calm relax feeling. I highly recommend visiting this place. It has long walking and cycling area . Fishing too can be done here as there is a jetty extended into the water.
Amazing place
This is a great place to visit with the family with young kids. Nice park next to the beach. Like hitting 2 birds in one stone. We'll definitely coming back
We had picnic on the cliff edge and it was so lovely. The views are gorgeous and you can see the city skyline from there in the distance. It can get pretty windy and cold so take a jacket. It seems like a great spot for wind surfing as there were plenty of people doing that. There's lots of parking and a few benches for seating.
Very good turf and fine batting conditions excellent for training purposes
Worth checking out this spot 👍

Bicentennial park was great. However, until recently the council has not been maintaining it and because of this, the grass is preposterously long. There are now only so many places one can walk as they only mow small trails. Having the long grass comes with many hazards, such as attracting snakes, increasing the rabbit population - which is harming the many special plants at this park, and it's at risk of catching fire which can be even more dangerous for the many houses surrounding the park.

A beautiful shaded area to start your trip down the Bay Trail.
There is ample ticket parking - not free and a bit expensive. You can use the Easypark App to make sure you get the right amount of time parking. Very simple to use.

Beautiful view. Not far from Dendy St and Brighton Beach and the Brighton Bathing Boxes.

Such a beautiful place, shame it is not dog friendly, but there is a dog beach located not too far down the road. There isn't much parking right out at the Jetty but plenty to be had up on the side of Honour Ave. Looks to get pretty busy on good weathered weekends.

A fantastic place to start a walk.
The fenced track alongside the river is well maintained with areas you can enter to get to the waters edge.
Lovely places to sit relax and watch the world go by.

This place has beautiful views, lovely sea breeze and a lot of picnic areas. Plenty of parking available. People come here for boating and fishing. My favourite part of this place is that there is a narrow path in the river which is hardly visible. From a distance it looks like you are walking on the river. In dry seasons this path goes all the way to a very tiny island. Amazing experience.

Nice view and very peaceful! We have met with heaps of local families. Also many dog walkers around. This place has amenities and it is recommended for families with their kids.
Lovely little playground great for all ages. Fresh soft fall added by council is a bonus. Quiet carpark. Lots of space.
No toilet facilities or intentional shade and sometimes the ground has fragments of glass etc in the surrounding area.
Really awesome ticked away spot, picnic tables, public toilets and SAND! Sitting adjacent to Chelsea beach, really great spot to let the kids stretch their legs, maybe mum and dad too.

Fav of the kids and locals with a lovely playground and ample parking nearby. There are also clean toilets, BBQ pits, covered rest areas and a washing station so you don’t track the beach back into your car. Beautiful sand and tame swells.
Jumps need to be maintained and grown by concil
