Not the first time we have been mistreated by the lady that works there. Very unpleasant experiences.
The owner of this place has no idea what customer service is. He is not helpful at all, always looks dirty as well. He needs to take some lessons from Meadows Springs newsagency where nothing is too much trouble for them. It's bad when we have a newagency right on our doorstep, but prefer to go to Meadow Springs.

Like others got a box of jumpers which would only fit pixies from KUR. Never ordered but correctly addressed and the box had Narwee Newsagency on the box. Suspect it is something else that was order and this bogus mob are supplying rubbish. Now never ordering anything FROM FB etc.
Two deliveries from FRANS KUR of NARWEE NEWSAGENCY two weeks apart. Not ordered or wanted. Stinky old clothes not even folded but jammed into boxes. So weird. So random. Going in the bin. SCAMMERS for sure. Will try reporting to local police in Narwee.
Like John, Nicolas & Cate I received a parcel correctly addressed, but not ordered. A box of used tee shirts 2 wks ago & then again today, same shipping details as others. I told the delivery driver I didn’t want it, he said I had to take it. Spose I’ll just donate it in hope it helps others out. But I’d really like to know why this is happening.
Just like John Murrell and Cate Thomas I also received a parcel at my post office that contained old clothes. Return address is Narwee Newsagency and a name of Frans KUR its very concerning, hopefully we can all work out what is going on. I have read something online that is called brushing which is a scam for reviews.
Like John Murrell's wife, I have also just received a parcel, correctly addressed to me & which has come from overseas via Cathay Pacific, containing weird clothing items that I didn't order. Return address is Narwee Newsagency - something suss going on in that place.
Wife received an unexpected/not ordered parcel via couriers, which turned out to contain old clothes. We live on the Gold Coast. Return address was this newsagents. Tried to call but number is not connected. Very concerning that someone had the name and correct address.
Disgusting customer service and behaviour by the tall girl and 2 others when I questioned there behaviour they gave me a poor excuse asked to speak with the manager wasn’t there went upstairs and the girl told me he was down stairs I will make a formal complaint about there poor customer behaviour
Told to spend 15.00 for my 9.95 sat lotto ? Buy EXTRA scratchies Asian man says I tell him No. !Only want tonights lotto. Dont want a gambling addiction win some lose more. GAMBLING ADDICTION your adding to it making ppl buy extra scratchies avoid this place. I reported to lotto west and thinking of gambling adiction hotline. Centre management also.

You cannot trust them! Avoiding using this place for any hub! They are completely incompetent. They cannot even do what they agreed to do, which is very simple. I got an urgent overseas trip, so called this news agency and ask to hold my parcel for +1 day more after a default well holding period. The lady on the phone said yes. Came back on time, and rushed to pick it up. The same lady just told me it’s picked up by a driver to send it back. Never came across this levels of hopeless/useless service. Don’t waste your time!!
My wife and I have been coming to this Nextra at the time of this post for roughly a year now. And as it happens never really had any issues with the staff for the majority of the time, however when we went in there to do our usual weekly purchase of magazines and the occasional scratchies my wife went looking around the store at the sales for a present for her grandmother. All went well while in the store but just a second after we left the shop the "lovely" staff lady who served us yelled out to myself and my wife to stop and then demanded to get my wife to let her search her bag for some apparently stolen items. Now my wife has absolutely terrible anxiety and wouldn't take a flower from a local garden let alone steal from a shop. This "lovely" Nextra staff lady accused her of stealing very loudly in front of the entire entrance to the under cover carpark we allowed her to search the bag adding that when it's over we would really appreciate an apology for the absolute humiliation and embarrassment we suffered from this false accusation. Never happened not a single shred of humility was shown by this lady who very rudely told us that we could go now. We have never been so stunned and embarrassed as we felt while she berated us for stealing something in which we clearly did not. Really disappointed that despite the constant routine of getting our stuff here was traded for humiliation and we couldn't even get an apology in the end. Will never go back again while she darkens that doorstep
Pleasant old fashioned shop with friendly service. Large range of good quality greeting cards. Pleasant place in which to browse the extensive selection of magazines and comics. Recommend a visit. Shops like this are fast becoming a rarity.

Absolutely rude wasn't feeling well was served by owner was told my $11 .60 purchase wasn't enough for his eftpos limit of $15. He said I needed to buy $5 more on lotttery or pay cash I said I didn't need anything else and didn't have cash, he dressed me down and said I should know his limits he said "Are you testing me". He proceeded to raise his voice and tell me off that he had that conversation with me previously. I had to walk away. Was feeling embarrassed. On reflection I remember over 2 years ago I was $1.50 short of his lotto eftpos limit. Won't ever be going back & reporting it to Lotterywest. No stars when a man rudely intimidates & embarrasses a lady
Wonderful service. I made a purchase today and the staff were unable to locate the original packaging (which I didn’t mind), but after we left the lovely lady that served us luckily found it. She then went to the effort to find me in a nearby store I had mentioned I was going to and gave it to me. She really went above and beyond and I truly appreciated the effort.

Any business not offering unrestricted access to electronic payments without minimum spend limits ($15 at Lakers News) should be avoided. Exchanging cash is just another risky exposure to Covid.
I do not know if the woman who is always there is the owner or not, she is always smiling at all customers and treated like family.

Came to collect token for a car club scheme. Massively helpful - nothing was too much to ask.
I went in to claim on some old scratches and lotto tickets. The gent that served me went above and beyond what I expected to try and help me claim prizes on all the tickets. Note to self, you can't claim on tickets from 2010, but that didn't stop the staff member trying to help.
All the items were neat to walk around in, a great place to find a Christmas gift for these upcoming weeks. Offers a variety of items such as cards, mugs and glasses, and much more.

Very poor service. The lady behind the counter is unkind. The only thing I was using was returning bottles for cash and they apparently no longer offer this possibility. In the future I would go in only in an emergency.

Customer service is non existent. Charge you to pay pass but don’t tell you they will charge you. Asking if someone wants to tap doesn’t constitute you advising someone there is a fee.
If you have a sign up stating there is a fee, it needs to be with the eft terminal, not half a metre away ,hidden by hanging things from your lotto screen.. thanks for ensuring I never shop with you again.. all for 20c good job (as if your mark up on your products wouldn’t cover this measly fee)

Very small. Well presented. Very cold even on a sunny winter's day. Two ladies were very helpful and chatty.
Very friendly and helpful staff who will order specialist products (like Posca pens) if your requirements aren't in stock when you call by. Online orders for a few select products are possible too.
If i could negative star this i would. Guy who runs it is rude and has no customer service skills. Cant even check scratchies with out complaining and saying i should be doing it myself its not his job. Wont go back to the shop.
Love this Newsagent, lovely friendly staff, always helpful and accommodate your needs your require. I bought beautiful stunning Christmas decorations from there and beautiful Christmas Cards and beautiful Christmas cards and Gift boxes, I will continue to go there.

There is a need to be wary when presenting winning lotto tickets and scratchie tickets to both of the owners working out of this agency.
A formal complaint has been laid to the Lotto administration over 2 incidents where both operators have tried to short change the customer on lotto tickets and scratchie ticket.
You need to know exactly how much you have won on any winning lotto or scratchie before presenting to operator or you have a very real chance of being stolen from.

It’s easy to have high expectations of any news agents after being at Toombul’s Nextra. The store at Chermside is much smaller and has a much smaller range of gifts. They do still have a decent magazine section, cards and gifts. Their gift range can be a little bit more expensive that one might expect but it’s still a workable News Agent. It’s usually clean and staff tend to be easy to approach and welcoming.

Great shop, a bit like the tardis it is much larger than it looks. Stocks Whittakers chocolate for the Kiwis, and is a perfect place to pick up a card for a workmate. Lovely people.
