One of the most authentic italian restaurants in Gold Coast. There is a reason for the restaurant to be packed every day. The food was delicious, staff are very professional and helpful. The boss is super friendly, we went there once before, and the second time when we were there he remembered us. We were very surprised giving the place is so busy and there would be hundreds customers he's dealing with everyday. It's a highly recommended and probably the best italian restaurant in gold coast. You can not fault this place. Strongly suggest you to book it before you go.
We had breakfast at the Surfers Paradise Beach Cafe, and it was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was interesting with the birds wanting to participate in our eating experience. It is a gorgeous spot by the ocean. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I recommend stopping by for a meal if you’re in the area! Say Hi to the bin chicken!
Had breakfast, nothing special about the service, but i admire the staff seems to always try outfast the birds from snatching leftovers (which seems to cause a potential mess and danger to other customers).

The food was absolutely amazing (which we expected as soon as we walked in).
We had the focaccia for a starter, the carbonara and alfredo for mains and the creme caramel and sticky date pudding for dessert.
Our server was attentive and was quick to offer drink refills as soon as our glasses were empty.
The best pasta I have ever had- I will definitely come back to the gold coast just to come here again! 😊

The host is awesome, very friendly and recommend the best pizza I had. The food is good, quite authentic Italian taste. One thing I don't like is that there are too many flies, constant bother me. Hope we can isolate the dining space to prevent those bugs
we did a lunchtime seafood cruise with Coastal Cruises. A great day out on the water. Nice seafood on board and great hosts with good commentary along the way. We went past some beautiful mansions and boats including Croc One, the Irwins' boat. Highly recommended

Atmosphere: **
Sunday night, beach front dining. We found a 7 seat high (bar) table, which was very cramped and felt uncomfortable. Additionally, the tables seemed over compressed and hard to negotiate if you needed to walk around. Inside the venue was better presented but also look very unused considering it’s the Gold Coast. As the open area is shared with 3 other restaurants the customer experience feels very flat.

You were understaffed tonight, with delays on the food - additionally a mushroom sauce was missing from the rump steak order, notified immediately at the bar and it took almost 10 minutes to get it out to us.
Staff were friendly and doing the best they could but it felt poorly organised with tables going un-bussed for some time. This allowed for seagulls to fly in, land on the tables and start eating the left over food. This is a serious hygiene issue - more attention here should be given. The whole area should be netted from guards to the roadside ceiling.

Order Chicken Parmigiana & Beef Brisket Burger (chef special)
Chicken Parmigiana: Napoli sauce was really flat in flavour, I suspect that not enough sauce was used. The chicken was good thick portion though, juicy and tasty. Salad seemed thrown together, but the chips were excellent!
Beef Brisket Burger: brisket was melt in your mouth texture, but sriracha sauce was lacking in hot spice flavour, was rather mild for me, the size of the burger was perfect, larger then your normal burger, overall a tasty good size burger only, no chips which was an extra cost.

I believe there are some serious issues that need to be addressed with the service, food and atmosphere of this restaurant and also the outside dining area in general across all of these restaurants. I highly encourage you to look into this.

The Seafood platter was very nice, but not pefect for so much money. Dessert platter was amazing. The staff was so friendly, attentive and efficient. Our waitress was so lovely. Highly recommend this place!

We are two girls from China, and our dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The dishes suited our taste perfectly—everything was delicious and fresh, and the prices were quite reasonable. The service was exceptional, especially the male manager who was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The female staff members were also very friendly and kind, and even helped us take photos. Wednesday night, walked in off the street. We were windswept and sunburned from a day of sight seeing. We were well looked after and fed here, beaut views of the sunset through the lovely old French doors. Lovely experience.
At first I was shocked to pay for a $22 burger, alone with no fries... But WOW! The biggest chicken schnitzel burger I've ever seen. Worth the money! Food was quickly served and fresh. My husband had the burger with the lot with a side of sweet potato fries, there was so many fries to share with three of us. Delicious! Our friend from Mexico wanted to try the barramundi fish. She was sooo happy! She said compliments to the chef. 🙏🏼😊. This restaurant is worth going too, as you have the beautiful view of the beach 🏖️

Food took forever to arrive at the table and the restaurant was not even full , when the food did arrive it was bland and very underwhelming. Prawns that came with the salad were like rubber, menu reads well but it did not live up to expectations. Give this place a miss look else where 2-11-24
Thank you so much Alfresco. There were 9 of us and, even without a booking, we were able to get a table. We had a fabulous meal. All dietary needs meet and exceeded. Add in the friendly staff who gave us excellent service - the perfect evening out.

The best restaurant of my life! The risotto was perfect, and the steak sauce was full of flavor, so I couldn't help but admire it as soon as I ate it. Of course the steak itself was great. I'm willing to go to the Gold Coast to stop by this restaurant. It was an amazing dinner❤️

Had lunch at Beach Cafe recently, and the food was fantastic! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal by the water with some really great options on the menu.
That said, the service was quite slow. The staff were friendly, but it took a while for our food to arrive, even though it wasn’t too busy. If you’re not in a rush, it’s still a nice place to relax and enjoy the view.
I’d definitely come back for the food, but hopefully, next time the service is a bit faster!

Chullora Oceanfoods was a fantastic dining experience. The seafood was delicious, with perfectly crispy batter and tender fish. Generous portions of calamari, fish, and chips made for a satisfying meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the relaxed atmosphere added to the charm. Highly recommend for seafood lovers!😇🥰

We started our meal at Unicorn on a high note, greeted warmly by a beautiful and attentive young lady. She was friendly and made the ordering process smooth. The scallops were absolutely amazing, but we would have preferred the prawns to be grilled rather than cooked in sauce.
Unfortunately, things took a turn after the meal. When we ordered affogato for dessert, it was served on a dirty napkin or kitchen paper, along with a cup of coffee that was clearly not espresso. I pointed this out to the waiter, and his response was, "Do you want me to change it?"—which, of course, we did, as it was quite unpleasant.
To make matters worse, the manager came out and explained that our waiter had used his personal coffee to serve us, as if to downplay the situation as an unintentional mistake. While the dessert was eventually taken off our bill, the manager's response and attitude were disappointing.
I understand that service can be slower in the middle of the day, but that's no excuse for poor service quality. Better staff training is definitely needed if the restaurant wants to maintain high standards.

We had a super friendly waiter and the food was delicious. Good portions and prices. Highly recommend the lamb pizza and the skewer duo. Restaurant has good vibes too, great for big groups or casual dates and they have a laneway bar next door. Almost everything can be made gluten free and it’s also halal.
This place used to be the go to for locals as the other more famous shop was overrated. Unfortunately had a very underwhelming selection of grilled platters today. Cold soggy chips, very small octopus and calamari. Also the fish was so thin. $60 later and still hungry

My husband and i came here for a late lunch on a spontaneous visit because of work. First of all the warm welcoming by the staff we recieved regardless that i was dressed in hi vis work attire was wonderful, our waiter was micahael and he was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and chatty, he took a gorgeous picture for us to remember our wonderful visit and made us feel every bit welcome. We were seated straight away with water, menus and linen serviettes put down instantly. We ordered drinks first which came very quickly and the liquer affagato i had was exceptional, so much so i returned a few hours later for another with Michael remembering us, seating us and ordering my drink without me even having to do anything, it was incredible. For our food we ordered the avacado seafood and the live mudcrab which came with a greek salad, rice and a gorgeous tamato, onion salsa. All the seafood was incredibly fresh, full of flavour and the crab was steamed to absolute perfection, the dolmates is the best i have had in a restaraunt. I also tried there oyster shot which with the freshness of the oyster was absolutely delicious. The service is very prompt and the waiters are just hands down amazing. I can not recommend this restaraunt more, we will be returning very soon! Thank you so much for the great experience!😄

Ordered around 1.30pm on Sunday 25th August. Staff member seemed extremely uninterested in taking my order. She asked if I want salt on the chips. I asked if I could please have lots of chicken salt on the chips and fish. She was so uninterested she said okay and just wrote chicken salt on the docket. Not to my surprise when I got to the car I noticed they only put a tiny amount of chicken salt on the fish and none on the chips. Such a simple task, simple job and useless person who can't even do the basics.
New management, awesome food and great service, quantity and quality was mind blowing, very tidy and affordable price 😀 will definitely going back 👍.

I had an incredible dining experience! The bruschetta was exceptionally tasty and fresh, and the olives were absolutely delicious. For our mains, we chose The Secrets Trio, and every bite was fantastic. The table of 8 all have the same high praises for their delicious food.
I honestly can’t fault this place. The staff was extremely attentive and patient with our table’s orders, even going above and beyond by providing pencils for the kids to draw on the table, which they absolutely loved. Highly recommend this place!

Better to do advance booking as seats are not readily available. The place is congested and heating arrangements are inadequate. Service is acceptable. The food very tasty. Beef skewers tasteful and presentation was unique. Other food items including drinks of excellent taste.

We didn't previously know about this restaurant but what a great surprise. Fantastic view of the beach, attentive and friendly staff, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. Prices were a little more in comparison but that won't stop us returning again.
Been coming here for last 20 years. Consistently quality and tasty fish. I always order fish cocktails. They make it fresh in front of you. Service is amazing too. They go out of their way to ensure you get what you want. Absolutely the best. Will be back again soon. Try it yourself and judge for yourself. I was surprised by other negative reviews which is so far off the mark.

i cant recommend this restaurant due to this lack of interest and consideration to customer unhappiness and staff lack attention ( except for the blonde waiter? manager?) just wished id escalated my concerns at the time to him because i think hed be concerned-as would council health inspectors! if the cockroaches are in the dining area my mind wonders whats happening in their kitchen😳

i cant recommend this restaurant due to this lack of interest and consideration to customer unhappiness and staff lack attention ( except for the blonde waiter? manager?) just wished id escalated my concerns at the time to him because i think hed be concerned-as would council health inspectors! if the cockroaches are in the dining area my mind wonders whats happening in their kitchen😳

The food is definitely on the pricey side for Chinese cuisine. Unless you are Chinese or more importantly, familiar with these type of dishes (especially the soup-based ones), you might struggle to know what to order.
The service was good and attractive, but it takes a bit of time for the dishes to arrive, even on a quiet day.
Worth the try if you want to try something different, but I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

Absolutely worth the trip to eat here tonight. ALL the food was outstanding! The service was wonderful and cheeky to match our crowd. Lovely wine list and beautiful little touches everywhere, from little strawberries on the edge of the bubbles glass, to lap blankets on the back of our chairs - just in case we wanted them (but the outdoor heaters were well enough). Thanks for such a memorable experience team! We loved every minute and highly recommend your fabulous establishment.

What a lovely restaurant to share with my husband for date night. We had the Lobster Mornay and it was delicious! Very tasty, and quite a large lobster. Well worth $60!
We also had BBQ prawns as our entree, this was the perfect way to start our sophisticated dining experience.
The wait staff were remarkable and very attentive. Service was quick, we didn't have to wait long for our food at all.

Portion sizes and taste of the food are not worth the price. Ordered the double steamed soup that is a chef recommendation but it doesn’t taste good barely has any flavour, the portion for the soup is small as well, it’s like a cup-size for a 30$ soup and the cup with the soup was broken, it leaked through the plate under it. Atmosphere and service is okay.
Natalie was our server and she was the best waitress I have ever experienced. She made the environment feel very warm, comfortable and accommodating. She made it special for my mum’s wedding anniversary that she celebrated without her husband since he was working and spent it with me (her daughter) instead. The food was superb and once again the entire service was amazing. I highly recommend this place!!!

This place is a joke. I ordered first time and last time. They don’t have idea how to even cook chips. Don’t order from here waste of money
I went with my friends , celebrating women’s day here, lovely staff very friendly, food was excellent top notch thank you chef. Great Italian food. Ambiance was lively. My friends loved the restaurant, deffo going again with family this time. Third visit, pizza was best we had in Sydney. Roasted cauliflower was delicious. Creamy prawns 🍤 yum.
Didnʻt even receive what I ordered. No lemons and waited over an hour for this. I ordered a seafood stick pack & a fish fillet to only receive 1x seafood stick and 1x fish fillet. Beyond disappointed.
Surprisingly good prices for such a great venue. Salt n pepper squid was melt in your mouth and up there with the best we've had. The Thai sauce on the oyster special was amazing and hopefully becomes available with everything!! Garlic bread was a large serve and soft and fluffy. Stuffed chicken was delicious. The brownie was slightly dry but made better by the delicious sauce. Staff were friendly and very quick with service. Will definitely be back.
The sunset seafood buffet cruise was a fantastic experience. There were heaps of oysters, bugs, prawns, and fish, as much as we could eat. Plus, bread and salads.
The dining tables were set up really well. The bar had a great selection and well priced drinks.
There is a toilet and there is an upper deck to relax while cruising through lots of lovely canals. Chilled music and very nice staff.

Came here for dinner for the first time and it was a little disappointing. Had preordered ahead of time but still took them 20mins to confirm order - definitely understaffed. The dishes in this review plus one very plain fried rice (not even with meat) came to an eye watering $550 which is exorbitant for Chinese food. I think there’s probably better places that is far cheaper.

All the seafood and meat we had were very fresh. The roasted squab was freshly prepared, perfectly crispy skin and tender meat – a must-try! The stir-fried clams were fresh with crispy rice-noodle base, very tasty! The unique preparation of abalone with salted egg yolk was outstanding, fresh and tender abalone paired with salted egg yolk made it a heavenly dish. The pumpkin shoot soup was made with genuine pumpkin, and after adding oil, it turned into a delicious pumpkin soup, complementing the pumpkin shoots perfectly! The restaurant also provides free complimentary soup, a genuine egg flower soup without MSG, and they even refill it – we ended up having three big bowls!

Tasty food but a bit expensive. We went in randomly and we were given the vibe that maybe it wasn’t for us considering how authentic it was. Nevertheless the staff helped with our order and it was a really tasty meal. The menu has some hefty items (over $100 a hit) and I feel like it’s perhaps a fancy Chinese restaurant. Felt like a good experience but perhaps a little too much money for what we got.
Ordered the fried seafood pack for two. Quantity was good but quality was poor. Everything seemed old and the seafood salad was not fresh, tasted like it had been sitting out for sometime. All of the food lacked flavor and we couldn’t fix it with lemon juice and salt. To top it off we were charged $1 for a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce. Maybe their grilled seafood is better, this was definitely a miss.

Coming back from a ski trip, trying to book a dinner to celebrate our 11th anniversary, Kakubi Shoroku came up as a first choice since we both love authentic Japanese seafood. It’s proven that we have made a good choice - authentic and nice food plus a Michelin star service.
What a nice little spot for Japanese. Everything we had was fresh and tasted delicious. The lady that attended to us was very welcoming and attentive. Each meal was yummy.

The cruise was okay; basic venue, and I t was hot and stuffy in the dining area, but nice on the top deck. The venue does NOT cater for people with disability and the staff were not especially responsive or thoughtful in regards to helping us. We had a large party and they seemed to struggle with the booking in regards to how many people had ordered steak (we have original receipt to say 6 people wanted steak when we booked everyone in, but only four steaks were provided). Otherwise the food was lovely. They just seemed to struggle with large bookings and catering for us.
We were very fortunate to be able to dine here a few weeks ago, our group was quite large 18 men and we were hungry!
We didn't have a booking but they happily made it work for us on 1 large table.
The waiter's and waitresses were excellent! Our orders were all correct (entrees and mains) and they also gave us some free drinks.

Anyway, a year to the day, we were able to enjoy mum's birthday celebration. Tony was very gracious and understanding with all of the changes.

Soup was lovely, I was pleased I couldn’t taste any MSG. And dessert was also a highlight too (steamed papaya)

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Some of their dishes are unique to other Chinese restaurants. Their seafood and abalone dishes are fabulous

Had a lovely experience here. The entrance looks normal but the interior is nicely decorated with Chinese elements. The restaurant is pretty empty on Sunday night. We had the coconut fowl soup, the Budda delight soup, two fish dishes, lamb, chicken, pumpkin rice. The soup were good but the portion was small for its price. The rice didn't look very appealing but I like it. The other dishes are so so.
We went here for our anniversay and it was phenomenal. The food, presentation, ambience and customer service was outstanding. We had the Lobster course and every single dish was delicious. The food is very authentic Japanese and the whole experience made us feel like we were back in Japan.

One of my favourite seafood restaurant in Sydney. Always bring my whole family here. Great seafood specials and tasty dishes. Best value lobster and crabs which my grandma and mom loves.
One of the best Japanese experiences I've had. The food was simple and incredibly delicate with huge flavour. I have given 4 stars but they would have received 5 if the drinks menu was a bit better. I will be going again soon!
Amazing Food and Services. We visited there for the first time and want to go more and more. We had tried two items: 1. big whole grill Baramundi with chips, salad, yummy sauce2. Chilli prwan with rice and salad. After we order they choose the fresh fish then cooked. We were 3 people and too much hungry but the amount was more than enough. It took only $45, very reasonable and delicious food. We bought lots of fresh fishes also, they cleaned the fish, provided a box and packed it with ice so nicely that after 8 hours drive the fisehes were fresh. Excellent services and friendly staffs.

Hot soup “clear my heart” and steam king offers so many different kind of soups, we had the Buddha jump over the wall, coconut chicken and pork ribs soup, they’re all super yummy, as well as other dishes during the dinner! The papaya & bird nest for dessert absolutely blow our mind!!! 💖🙌🏽

Lovely staff very friendly. Boat needs softer chairs for people's comfort especially the injured. Boat needs chevrolet decorations on tablecloths and walls. Food good quality however I was expecting seafood and got cold meats. Needs a variety of sauces for the cold meats. Beautiful breeze upstairs.
Place was quite clean. We ordered grilled barramundi with chips and salad. Fish were rubbery like they've been frozen. It also needed more seasoning. I just hope the lady who mops the floor and wipes the table with this wet cloth which looks like it's been everywhere, washes her hands prior to handling the food.
I have been a regular customer for four years. I have always enjoyed their great seafood and customer service. I have traveled extensively all over the country and I can honestly say that they are the best seafood shop in Australia. Any issues are dealt with in a friendly manner and I fail to understand any negative reviews.

They would actually come a little bit after the preceding dish. Why? Because by the time you finish the preceding dish, the temperature of the hot dish is just right. This takes good planning and thought of service which many restaurants don't have. 👍👍👍

Ordered take away grilled fish and hot chips. AMAZING! Cooked on the spot for you. Generous serving of chips, decent size fillet. One of the best fish n chips I have ever had. I'll be back here for sure!!!
