Great spot just off the madness of King St south… ideal for a quiet break… excellent coffee, superb carefully prepared food, friendly quality service.
The food was very good, big plate, lovely presentation. I paid $72 dollars for two people to eat breakfast and asked for barbecue sauce and they would not give it to me unless I paid $2, I don’t think this is justifiable at all? why charge a customer for sauce when I paid for my food? 😠😠
First time visit here and it won't be the last. The food was wonderful. You must try the Spring Rolls and the Pork Bbq (Pork skewers) for entree. We had the Crispy Pasta (deed fried Pork Leg) for one of the mains, which was the most delicious pork we have ever eaten. We also had the Crispy Kata-Kare (crispy pork belly with a thick savory peanut sauce) which was also amazing. We also had the Signature Abodo (pork) with Garlic Rice, and the Pansit Guisado (thin noodles with soy sauce with chicken and vegetables) which were both delicious. For dessert we had the Leche Flan and it was wonderful and very sweet and caramelly, the waiter suggested we get just 2 servings between the 4 os us and we opted for 3 serves which were big serves, so we should have listened to him. We need a few more visits to try other things on the menu, but we will definitely order that deep fried pork leg again as it was the best thing we ate....
My partner and I came for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I cannot recommend this cafe/restaurant enough! The service is always 10/10! The food is always 10/10! We felt VERY special and looked after. We ordered oysters (so fresh!), steak (very juicy!) and the coconut cream chicken (perfect combination of flavours). I have also been coming here everyday for my daily coffee fix for the past 6 months - it’s the best coffee I have ever had! The venue is beautifully decked out with plants and has a very calming feel to it. If you’re looking for great coffee, food, and service in a popular suburb, this is the place to go!
Took the family to breakfast here as its close by and new, good-sized portions for the price, would have preferred a long sausage rather than a square flat one, but the food was nice regardless. Service was good, was quiet when we arrived but got busier so that is good to see as a new cafe. Didn't try their Philippino food so will have to go back for that.

We did pre warn them however that we were a big group and it took almost two hours to get breakfast. This is not intended to be a swipe at the staff as they were apologetic. Just some constructive feedback. We will be back just not with such a large group next time.

Bought a Groupon deal for lunch and it was a steal. I would be happily pay full price for the food and the drinks as it’s delicious and fresh. The only confusing thing was the waiter didn’t know what was included in the Groupon deal and we had to double check why the menu didn’t match the deal. The waiter was also confused about which drinks were included in the deal. We were also not offered table water which was a bit of surprise. The service can definitely be improved. I guess the lack of customers has made this beautiful cafe fairly empty and quiet which is a bit of a shame considering their food is fantastic.
Really great selection of authentic Filipino food in Newtown! The service was friendly and the food came hot & fresh. We were surprised that they have regional Filipino food on their menu like Humba, and other favourites like Munggo, Pork Binagoongan and more that you don’t usually have readily available at Filipino restaurants in Sydney. And their sisig had no mayonnaise 👏🙌 As a half kapampangan/visayan this made my heart happy. Loved the food, especially the Filipino desserts. My recommendation would be to expand their weekend breakfast menu to include champorado and tsokolate batirol, which we know filos would travel to have 😍 I haven’t seen a Filipino restaurant in Sydney do this yet and I’m dying to for one (and I live in Blacktown city area which is pinoy capital). Decanso has something special going for it and we can’t wait to be back!

Ordered pancake stack only to discover that the last pancake was raw and still gooey in the middle. Staff did not even offer an apology, just that the kitchen staff would be informed.
The food here is pricey and you would expect at least quality in return, but between the raw pancake and my partner's very overripe avocado, quality in food and in service was not what we recieved.

Exceptional service at this beautiful restaurant! The food was amazing, I enjoyed the taste along with the calming atmosphere of the venue. The customer service was phenomenal, I highly recommend visiting for dinner!
The most relaxed venue for an early lunch … excellent service and food. We were also the first customers to enjoy a Prosecco as they are now licensed and also will be open for dinner … Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We will definitely be back - thanks Krishna and staff!

Most popular dessert amongst our table of 6 was the pandan peanut pancakes! Chewy soft dough paired with crunchy toasted nuts and the sweet creamy ice cream - what a harmonious blend of flavours textures and colours! Personally also enjoyed the chocolate sundae which was filled with rich fudgey thick chocolatey goodness

At the 35-40 minute mark, my children were beyond repair when they finally they got their order.
My child's chino was scorching hot and the milkshake was most definitely not worth $13.
Coffee and cake was nice, but not worth the wait or expense.

Had a chicken schnitzel bap but the schnitzel was processed meat and not very delicious, rather than whole cut chicken like most places use. Since it was the centerpiece of the sandwich I was hoping for better.
Also to wash my sticky hands after eating, I had to go outside and around to the back of the building and enter a creepy dark toilet down and isolated passageway. Not ideal.

My sister and I ate here after an appointment she had. We got the Tapsilog, Longsilog and shared a Sisig.
Portions weren't too bad in relation to price.
Quality and flavours were great. The sisig could've used a little more crunch, but otherwise very tasty and couldn't really fault it.
I would definitely go back once they've reopened in Newtown.

Great bakery just off King William Rd. Lots of fresh sweet and savoury baked goods. Great for coffee. Very popular on weekends.
Stumbled upon this wonderful cafe today and I’m so glad I came in!! The food was amazing, and the cafe is super cute and welcoming. They offer the usual cafe drinks/food options, but also include some delicious Filipino dishes (a relatively rare find for the area). I also had a wonderful chat with one of the owners at the end of my meal and it was exciting to hear about how their cafe came to be. I will definitely stop by again next time I’m in Sydney.

I came when their closing time since i craving for halo halo so badly. Then they still serving me so nicely. The halo2 is nice too. Will come back again to try the other food
Went during a huge family celebration and had a wonderful experience ! Great food and good service. The sisig, crispy pata and kare-kare was amazing and pretty good portion too. Would love it even more if each dish came with a small bowl of rice as dishes alone were on the pricey side. Other than that, would love to come back and try other dishes. Star of the night was their puto bumbong dessert ! (Filipino purple rice-cake). Definitely a place for family and friends :)

I ate here with my mother a month ago and by myself yesterday. Both times the food was nice but quite overpriced and service was slow and confused. Adding toast to a dish that should have toast included costs an extra $6.50 and if U add a few extras to a meal it easily gets to over $50- which is too much for a simple breakfast to cost. It is a busy walk-thru cafe with a high turnover, attached to a yummy cake and ice-cream service.
First time at Hyde Park Bakery today. Ten out of ten for chunky beef & mushroom pie. Eleven out of ten for raspberry jelly cake - sensational- best I’ve ever eaten!

Sarap!!! One of the Filo restaurants worth your travel time, effort, and money to dine-in. Their restaurant in Croydon is a good place for family and group of friends. We were just craving for their Special Puto Bumbong coz we missed out when we first saw them in the Paddys Night Market crowd. It is indeed special!

The classic breakfast and EB wraps are very good.
Toast is not sourdough rock hard, but well toasted and buttered white bread. Fried eggs cooked just right. Bacon, a very good amount and includes crispy strips as as well cooked lean portions.
The wraps, with scrambled egg, BBQ sauce, bacon and a hash brown are similarly cooked and portioned.
Service is around 10 mins, staff are always friendly.

The pies was really good, its a good place for a quick morning coffee. The service was great and served the customer really quick, i love the doughnut but bit expensive. So many option of the cake

Consistently good quality food and well priced. They have been open for decades for a reason.
First time in Sydney, missed eating Filipino food, found Descanso! The food and coffee was so amazingly delicious! Saraaapppppp/ Yummmmm!!! They have lots to choose with: not just that, the menus are applicable to all types of generations, from kids to grandmums and granddads; plus.... you will be accommodated by great staff!!! Highly recommended 👌👌👌
I will have to agree to a reviewer that it’s a decent place to have a meal. It doesn’t have a spectacular ambiance but the staff’s service is enough to create a warm & friendly atmosphere. I can always come back here for their chai latte 😊

First the lady behind the counter couldn’t understand how to take a second order for the same table.
I’m assuming who is the manager had to step in and fix it.
She was very nice.
When we got our coffees both my mother and I suspected it may have been caffeine instead of decaf like we asked but weren’t sure.
We waited for our cakes for awhile until our support worker noticed they had been sitting on the bench for ages being ignored so she decided to just ask if they were ours and grab them.
The women at the counter apparently told her they would get taken to our table (they were ours) but our support worker told her she was going to take them to our table because they had already been sitting there a long time.
Turns out the Coffees were caffeinated as when my mother and I got home we both had reactions to it.
Coffee causes me seizures.
So I had a seizure.
My mother had just had a medical procedure where it was very important for her heart not to have caffeine.
It ended up making her very sick.

We ordered a variety of dishes and were amazed as they were all bursting with flavour. Staff were very friendly and helpful so if your looking for a new food cuisine give this place a go.

Nice little Cafe. We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered. For an early Sunday morning it was busy, which is always a good sign. The coffee was nice. We had a latte and a cappuccino. Latte was perfect. The cappuccino was a bit milky for my liking but still delicious. The guy making them was cute which was a bonus. Haha

Admittedly we arrived at 2.30 so... There was no food and what was on the menu seemed really expensive ( focaccia $15). Coffee was okay. Really all the staff just wanted to chat and go home.

Had breakfast here with a really pleasant experience and a hearty meal. Staff are friendly and services are wonderful. Ordered big breakfast with coffee and apple juice. Everything we ordered was really tasty. Coffee was good as well. My personal rating for this place is 4.5

During my safety brief, Chris (employee) made an extended effort to make sure I was across the basics so I could climb with confidence. I have since fallen in love with the sport.

Long time repeat customer of salad sandwiches from Eat On Glen Osmond. Great selection of fillings, efficient staff and always delicious!
Beautifully crafted climbing gym. I find it has more unique holds, angles and styles. Spacious and good util. There is a separate area/annex focused around training. Friendly staff and community. Dog friendly too of course.
The only negative after going here for a bit, is on warmer days, I feel like I'm cooking like a rotisserie chicken. Coffee is beautiful though, drinkable straight away vs other places which are immediate fiery chaos in your mouth.

Great place for coffee and lunch!!! Toasted Chicken and Avocado Sandwich..so much Chicken and Avocado..Delicious!!! My friend had Toasted Ham,Cheese and Tomato..it was also huge!!

The Big Breakfast is too oily and too few mushrooms provided. However, the coffee is good.

Best bakery just south of Adelaide CBD! Dined in and had a cheese kranksy, butter chicken pie with a cappuccino. Food was great, very high quality pastries and fillings. Butter chicken pie had good pieces of chicken in it, didn’t taste dodgy or fake. Coffee was good, not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely good, and well presented. The staff here are friendly and efficient with getting food out. My coffee was made very very quickly which was great! The space here is great, there is plenty of seating outside and inside. Design of the decor is nice and simple. Would recommend if your looking for great bakery food.

For someone new to bouldering, the gym is a nice size that you don't get lost with what to do. Enough beginner problems to get you progressing. Friendly and helpful staff and climbers. Facilities are clean. Coffee is great. Good value to start with their Starter Pack. The routes are reset regularly enough that you don't run out of problems to solve. Ít is a fun physical activity to do on a weekly basis for me.
The main bouldering gym always has heaps interesting climbs with regularly reset walls. They also have excellent coffee with many plant milks. The new Annex area next door has Stokt walls, new gym equipment, stretching mats and 24/7 access for members to Annex, which is great for summer.
When you ask for a recommendation for a nice cake and strong coffee ☕ and get exactly that. Both were perfect and a good size.

Incredible vegan-friendly desserts. Very creative and yummy, literally live up to its name "Eggless". The owners are friendly and very welcoming, always make sure you are comfortable when you dine in. I like the idea that they change their menu monthly so there are more varieties of desserts so you are looking forward to trying them every rotations. This place is a must try.
Popped in here for a breakfast, and whilst the food was excellent, it was rather expensive. The prices on the menu were a bit high, but I didn't see the bit where they charge an extra $2.50 for sourdough bread. I guess that's just a reflection of how inflation is affecting our economy, not to mention all the other cost increases such as wages, rent, utilities, ingredients, etc. Whilst it was very enjoyable, I don't think I'll be ordering the same given it was over $30 for a breakfast.
Went here for breakfast the food was really good and not overly priced plus one of the best coffees for the suburbs. The customer service is second to none, definitely more than a number! Only downside is the amount of mosquitoes around the cafe, maybe invest in automatic insect sprayers?
It's rare to find a small, family run place like this with food as incredible as Eggless. The owner will always greet you with a huge smile, making sure to check that everything is perfect as you go. The food speaks for itself, as the quality is always top notch and comes out very quickly. They have a new dessert menu each month, guaranteeing that multiple visits are required. Truly, I cannot recommend Eggless enough. It's a real Adelaide gem and the perfect dessert bar to take your loved ones to. 11/10

We ordered Lumpia Shanghai, Crispy Kare Kare, Garlic Fried Rice and for dessert we had banana-que.
I was slightly disappointed about the fatty cut on the meat in our Crispy Kare Kare, but that did not deter us from eating the dish (we just removed the fat and continued the meal). The sauce was delicious, the veggies on it was still crisp. My only wish was to have more veggies in the kare kare.

We noticed that their best sellers were Crispy Pata and Sisig. The serving sizes looked good! That is one incentive for us to come back again one day and try their other dishes.

Been wanting to try this place for months after always seeing a queue out the door. Make sure you arrive just as it opens or you may be waiting a long time....
5 star service - our waiter was very personable and had a great sense of humour.
The deep fried apple pies were amazing!
Only dropping a star as the chocolate cheesecake was good but the flavour was too mild and the texture felt like there was a little too much gelatine.

One of the high quality cafés in Adelaide. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by one of the staff. Staff are so friendly and explain the menu.
Food arrived on time. Brunch menu has good variety. Coffee was well prepared. Good options for kids.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
Toilet including change room for babies are outside of the cafe. We found it clean.
You may park your car off the street but it would be recommended to park it on one of the side streets.

Everything was exellent except finding the place, the signage was hard to see.

Great variety of food, good prices and very filling. Easy to go have lunch during work hours.
Very rude staff. I ordered coffee and hamburger. I wanted sit and eat but I was told by personel that I can't eat inside because it's a diffrent service!!! I wasn't asked before if I want take away or dine-in. I was with baby which was hungry and we just want to sit and eat. Moreover they had plenty free tables. I was shocked by staff behaviour! I was never experience such as bad service.

Great place for coffee, cake,chat. Open early everyday. Friendly staff who great and serve you with a smile ☺️. Huge variety of baked goodies for all tastes, grown ups, kids and even for pooches.
Wow! I haven't been able to travel to the Philippines since Covid but my visit to Filo Station transported me there. This place has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere, the owners and staff are welcoming and friendly. Food is authentic and delicious, cooked with traditional family recipes handed down from the owners grandmother.

This is a restaurant that has been in operation for many years. I have breakfast and coffee here almost every week. I often take way here for lunch, whether it is coffee, salad or yogurt. Snacks are also delicious. My favorite is egg &ham toast. The staff is nice and gracious.
Decent portion, enjoyed the pulled pork burger.

I had lunch here twice previously in December 2020 and and again Feb 2021 and I found it each time to be relaxing and have good food choices and the staff were helpful and welcoming. Is there something in the Adelaide water? There seems to be a trend of happy and welcoming staff in this city.
Ordered a latte got this from the cafe.When i called to tell the story,the female staff didnt even felt sorry for this.She simply asked so what she can do?Eventually i said "nothing"

Delicious Filipino food comes with huge portion. affordable price and friendly customer service. Arrangement of the shop is moderate and suitable for friends and family gathering. Need to concentrate on serving time cause it took a while to serve our food. Would love to recommend to others and like to revisit soon.
Great food there. I didn't have to wait long for my food and I always go there for my lunch break. What they sell there is fair priced. The owner there is lovely and kind to everyone.

Fantastic breakfasts, awesome coffee, relaxed eat-in atmosphere, and the staff/owners are sweet, lovely people! We stayed close and visited for breakfast most mornings on our visit from the USA. Heading again to Adelaide this year and even if we are not staying in the immediate area we will be making a beeline to Eat on Glen Osmond for breakfast, it is THAT good, and prices are very reasonable.

Met 3 friends for brunch today at the cafe and we all enjoyed our meals and drinks. The service was initially a little slow but after our orders were placed the staff were attentive and friendly. We all went for various breakfast options, two photos attached. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. Occasionally it was a little noisy with groups of kids but that's to be expected on a Saturday. I'd happily eat there again.
Trying out this brand new gym today! New ideas and concepts can be found around the gym such as the LED lit moonboard. Also exciting new problems are created by a Japanese route setter. Finally something in the south-east Melb not just the northern Kingdom :)
