This is sad that they don’t take new patients.
I’m disappointed.
This surgery is over booked. Can take two weeks to see a doctor. They will put you with who ever dr they want even when you ask for someone else (and have time to wait). So I needed another option because of how busy they are so I had my info copied to another surgery (Swansea channel drs).

Swansea medical centre of which I have been attending for 36 years then said I cannot attend their surgery anymore.

Why would they be allowed to dictate how I look after my own body.
Disgusting. Avoid if you can.
It’s a bit disappointing to get charged for a phone consult only to be told I needed to come in person. Further, the clinic had issues with automated payment. Subsequently started receiving multiple messages a day with an aggressive tone for organising the payment.
Excellent admin staff
Very thorough Dr
Patrick listened and explained everything to assist in the healing process
Had an appointment at 11.15 did not go in to see the Dr. until 12 noon.....45 mins wait!!! Plus I am 72 and they do not bulk bill, seriously thinking of changing to another Practice ...sad as they do have some very nice Doctor's
I’ve noticed the waiting times at this clinic have increased significantly. To add to this, the parking fees have also gone up. It would be great if the clinic could work on improving the wait times and perhaps consider more affordable parking options for patients. The staff and doctors are still great, but these issues definitely impact the overall experience.
I was more than happy with my experience at Swansea Channel Doctors. My doctor listened to me and wasn't filling out ticks and paperwork on the computer. I was made to feel like a human being and not a number. The receptionists were lovely as well.
My first visit to Swansea Channel Doctors was a wonderful experience, the reception staff were friendly and helpful and the lady doctor I saw was absolutely amazing. I would recommend 100%
Have been well looked after and the Doctors are very professional
as the reception girls.
I have moved to another area that is the only reason I changed Doctors.
I wish to thank all staff from Channel Doctors all the best.
Kind Regards

The appointment commenced on time, the doctor was excellent. He listened to what I was saying then completed his examination, advised me of a plan moving forward to investigate the problem, reviewed my current medication and made adjustments.
I am very pleased.
These reviews confuse me I went today and the doctor was fantastic helpful and very lovely as was the receptionist. The only thing to be mindful of is they have a long list of things they don’t do however they make you read it at the beginning so you can always leave if you need those things. Very helpful doctor
Best drs I’ve been too. They listen and do a thorough job of getting to the bottom of medical issues. I find that I am not uncomfortable attending the drs anymore as they make me feel at ease. Highly recommended
BJSCC went above and beyond to support and provide calm, reassuring and supportive customer service over the phone. The receptionist provided multiple options and insight with scheduling and availability! Thanks for always treating your patients with such warmth
Excellent facility. Great doctors. Staff are really friendly. Chemist shop is right next door. Parking is onsite, but not free. It is also sometimes very hard to get a carpark.
Dr Salem is a Gem. I have been seeing him for 5 years. He is thorough and caring. He has never rushed me and listens to what I say. He is one of the best GPs I have seen over the years. I would recommend him to anyone.
The doctor is arrogant and rude! I came in with my daughter, I was nice the whole time, I look at stupidity from above and leave them in their misery I don’t even say a word. But I want to leave a review. So we both had a flu like symptoms were sick for a week and I needed a medical certificate for my teacher. He started being rude from the beginning, asked so which one is going to be observed, did not wait for my answers I said just my daughter and that I need a certificate for only one of us anyway, and he started going on and on about how this should not be done, why only one is observed, he will charge for gap costs, bla bla bla told me I should go to other doctor, that he can’t understand my Mandarin accent although I am not even Chinese, my accent is really good compared to his, who is Indian himself and is not native speaker at all. Eventually both of us were checked and I think that was right decision, but he then did not even talk to me just ignored my presence like doing it by force. Complete clown!!!! Another proof that Indian people are actually racist themselves and think only about charging. You should listen to your patient first at least give a chance to explain the situation before being judgmental and showing everybody you’re the Doctor! What a joke! You are not smart as you think you are!!! Even though my insurance pays for it, I really regret he got the money!!!!
The nurse there is rude and comes to the front desk and says to the receptionist that there is no appointment today for a doctor
The nurse is the rudest person I have ever met and has no people skills. I really wish that I didn’t have to take my client back there rude rude rude NURSE.
Terrible service the doctor couldn’t wait to rush me out the door. Told me I would be best going to my usual GP (May I add where did he get this assumption I had another doctor). The particular service I was requesting a referral to. He told me I didn’t qualify. A quick google search when I left confirmed that this to be untrue. On to a more professional GP with manners.
I had a truly TERRIBLE experience with Dr. Md. Shoriotullah. His condescending attitude, mockery of my questions, and dismissive behaviour during a basic blood test request left me feeling disrespected and belittled. He basically laughed in my face, it made me feel very upset. This kind of treatment is unacceptable in any healthcare setting. I strongly advise others to avoid this doctor and seek care elsewhere.
What an excellent experience. I was a little anxious about visiting a new doctor for the first time, however, I need not have worried. From the initial phone call to the visit for my appointment to leaving the surgery, by experience was exceptionally excellent. A very well run organisation with true professional staff from the desk to the doctor. Well done. I look forward to my next appointment.
Very happy with Dr Suman Musku👍. He has been our family GP for several years now. He is a very skilled doc who listens, understands and empathizes with his patients. He gives very clear explanations, recommendations and options.🙏
DISAPPOINTED. rang to book a much needed appointment only to take the day off and discover there was no appointment made. Was told it was my fault as I never received a confirmation message that I was never informed about during my conversation with the same receptionist I had initially spoken to when making the appointment.
Considering they now charge for the service by (no longer bulk bill) and parking..they really need to step up their game and fix their processes.
my recommendations....make sure you receive a confirmation message, have spare change for parking and be prepared for disappointment
I enquired about an appointment over the phone with the receptionist this morning - unbelievably rude and unprofessional. After reading some reviews, I asked if there were any additional costs. She became very defensive and after a few more times asking admitted there would be extra costs. Base rate was $190 for a basic skin check or $390 for mole mapping and then it’s an additional $55 - $70 for a photo to be taken of one mole, with extra costs for “other services” which she refused to explain. Exorbitant prices considering all other places do this for half the price and don’t charge extra for additional services. Glad I didn’t book an appointment and hope the receptionist can find some manners in the near future.

Doctor not wanting to help in anyway. Very poor service. Never been to practice like this in Australia or around the world. Advise to go to another doctor surgery.
My partner and I went to see Dr Musker today he is very easy to told to and gave as much time as we needed would highly recommend. The clinic is a very friendly place, staff are very helpful and the place was clean.

What is wrong with you. You're a receptionist. The patients are old and struggling, how do you have no compassion? What is wrong with you all? Why are you so mad?
Don't attend this medical practice. The way I watched the staff treat old, confused or anxious patients should be addressed as verbal abuse. You are a sick, sad woman if you can talk to people with that tone, attitude and language without feeling guilty. Please, go get a job where no one has to face the ignorant and immature attitude that you wear with pride.

The women behind the reception make me anxious, upset, and are generally unhelpful and mean. I've changed GPs because of how worked up I would get trying to book an appointment with reception. They make the process much more stressful than it needs to be, and don't have any compassion for people despite working at a medical practice. Customer service is a huge part of a reception job, it's surprising to see mature women be so incapable of a simple task. I would advise locals to look at Newcastle for a better GP practice, and kinder staff.
EDIT: The wait times are over an hour long at Swansea Medical as well.
I got my skin checked last week. It was a brilliant experience. The whole team from my first contact with reception to the detailed scan and my operation to remove a cancer was first class. They have a full map of my skin so can see quickly and systematically if anything changes. Couldn't recommend the team highly enough.
Great local GPs and has been patients since we moved to the West.
The only gripe is only 15min free parking. It used to have 30min free parking. Now even you got there in time for your standard consultation and Dr can see straight away, you would still spend more than 15 min and have to pay $3 for parking. With higher cost of living and we have pay for the GP gap, it does not pass the pub test.
2 amazing doctors work at this practice, both are 2 of the best doctors i have come across. Very hard to find good doctors
I called to inform the receptionist that I was COVID positive and that I expected a phone consultation instead of face to face. The receptionist was so engaging and so grateful that I’d called to inform them . We had some nice banter and ended up by saying that this world simply needs more nice people in it. She was kind, empathetic and dealt with me in a caring and fun loving manner. Despite being sick, this made my day a little brighter
I feel Dr Md Shoriotullah has experience, he seems saw lots of cases which not really seriously enough for him to worry about. That is why it feels a bit rushed. But at least answers all my question, there might be some culture barriers after I read the reviews below.
This is the best skin clinic I have been to. They use a computer to map your skin so that every check up is compared to the previous one so I feel it is much more thorough and safer than other places.
Also the staff are great and the receptionist is always so friendly and helpful and makes it a very pleasant visit. Would highly recommend.
This skin clinic is amazing!!!!! the staff and doctor are lovely and very knowledgeable and friendly .
Any time you have questions they will answer them and if any time you need an appointment asap they will find a way to fit you in .
I highly recommend this place , I have been going here for many many years with my husband . And we will continue coming here for the rest of our lives .
Thank you everyone for making us feel truly welcomed in your clinic . You are all truly truly amazing 🙌☺️

Had been with Dr Aga for years and she was a fantastic Dr however the Practice and reception absolutely terrible! Failed to let me know that Dr Aga had moved. Gave me the option to take my 1 yr old to another dr and called me after the appointment to request payment only to be told they will not bulk bill any child. Moved to another practise that bulk bills children and then charged $35 to transfer my families health records! This practice is now all about money, they don’t actually care about the health of their patients. Avoid if you can!
Lovely staff, beautiful clinic, best doctors in town!!! Highly recommend.
By far the worst experience I've had with a doctor (MD Shoriotullah), a rude and arrogant man who refused to address my single health issue, or to write a referral so I'd be able to return to my specialist to have it treated (which the specialist had asked that I do), saying that it would "make the specialist unhappy if he didn't write a proper letter" and that he "didn't have the time". The guy will waste your time and happily take the government's money for it - avoid at all costs.
Pretty disappointed with my experience today. Booked in with Dr. Shoriotullah as I had chest pains. All he did was do an ECG which was found normal and then wrote me a letter to be sent off to the ER to further investigate? The main reason why I booked with a GP is to avoid going to the ER?! Thought he would refer me to a cardiologist or something…. Aren’t you supposed to be a DR who knows what to do next?
I made one phone call to this practice and was met with the most unfriendly person imaginable. For people who are supposed to be in the business of helping others, they really don’t seem to have any empathy whatsoever. Disappointing.
Lisa - receptionist is incredibly rude in person & on the phone! I witnessed her speaking VERY rudely to an elderly gentleman who had dementia & he was confused. I won’t be returning although I waited ages to see my old Dr who is fabulous! Lisa needs to be sacked or retrained in how to speak to people!

I have been a patient of this practice for over 25years. Mostly as dr Bennett as my treating dr. Around 5 years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD. Anxiety and major depression due to a work injury. Throughout the years of dealing with this dr Bennett has been doing what he needed to tick the boxes to ensure the process ran smoothly. Now coming to the end of my claim dr Bennett has decided to wipe his hands of me as a patient. I booked an appointment at the practice and about an hour before my appointment received a phone call from the sectary who told me that dr Bennett did not wish to see me as it had been 6 months since my last appointment. No other explanation was given. I was told to find a new dr. Just when I thought I was coming to some sort of end to what I have been working with. I've been punched backwards by dr Bennet's unprofessional behaviour. I'm writing this review to prevent anyone else being placed in this situation. Think twice before putting you or your families health in the hands of dr Bennett. Disappointed and lost

After many years with a few strange symptoms I decided to get a second opinion, Dr Bennett was recommended to me by my partner, after being with the same GP for 10 years I booked an appointment with him. He was very thorough and followed up on referrals straight away.
I never once felt rushed out the door and he was very kind. All the staff are very friendly and punctual. I can’t rate this clinic high enough.
My wife and I have been going to the Clinic here for quite a number of years now, and even though we moved away from the area and a couple of hours away we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

From the always helpful Vincenza (who never gets fed up with us when we mess about with appointments and dates and is a pleasure to deal with), to the well trained nurses who do the imaging, and especially the Dr himself - we know we are in safe hands.

Irrespective of how many times they have to do the same thing and maintain their focus, they do - they are professional and proven (the Dr identified a tiny innocuous early melanoma on my wife that I suspect many may not have)

Would recommend without hesitation
The staff and service at the clinic is amazing! They show so much care and are so diligent with checking changes over time. I’m so grateful for their expertise and professionalism. The receptionist is lovely and very accommodating with fitting me in for an urgent review. She kept her promise of waitlisting me in the event of a cancellation and got me in quickly. Thank you!
Extremely unprofessional ethics, costs you to get your own records transferred, no education on triggers from staff and can't get passed their own offendedness and then act insulted. Oh I'll pay your feelike that'll keep you in ethics and self righteousness
I'd already had an MRI. All I required was a referral to a surgeon. I was charged $157 for the referral.
I have been attending this clinic for over 15 years. I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism, and received top level care. The clinic has the best equipment available, and whilst I now live on the south coast 3 hours away, I continue to come to Bondi for my regular check ups. When I had a serious issue, I was treated with great respect, called after hours, had everything explained to me. I have never had anxiety, because I know am getting the best care available.

Regarding costs, I briefly went elsewhere, and the costs were the same. It would be great if it was bulk billed or if the government through Medicare gave better rebates, but as I am at high risk I will continue to invest my money in this medical checkup, at this service, because of their high tech equipment and attention to a detail, because my health is the most important thing to me.

It has not been my experience that unnecessary procedures are performed to make money, in fact on occasions, I have walked out without a single procedure being needed. I have been butchered my a ‘doctor’ in the past , who thankfully no longer practices, so I do have other experiences to compare this service to.

I have found the receptionists to be wonderful, trying to fit my appointments in, to coincide with my other reasons for coming to Sydney. I find Dr Donnellan to be personable, informative and he will take the time to explain what is going on.

In regards to people complaining about wait times, this is not usual and if it has happened, to me I just assume that a patient has had an unexpected diagnosis and required more time than was anticipated. In that case, I am happy to wait, and if work was calling, I could always rebook and come back another time. I can honestly say I have been left waiting less time here than in the average GP office. This is not a fast food outlet it is a service with one doctor. Reasonable expectations need to be applied.

I cannot recommend this service more highly.

Dr Bennett was extremely arrogant and rude for no reason.

Very self indulged and definitely not out to help anyone.

I do not recommend this practice!
Listed as a bulk-billing practice but they do not, however they do provide a discount if you have a concession card. But for a regular consult fee of $93, that's a "no" from me...
The male doctor s are no good
The centre is now closed and all files have been sent to Broadmeadow medical centre.
Thanks for NOT letting your patients know.

What a joke.
My husband and I had the pleasure of having Dr Grace Abdukeyum as our treating GP for the past several months.
We found her to be most professional, knowledgeable, empathetic and an extremely pleasant person.
She was most thorough in her investigations and follow up care and treatments, and we were very sorry to hear that she has left the practice.
We would like to wish her well for the future, as she possesses the skills and human values necessary to being a great GP. We miss her already.
Also great nursing staff and clerical staff.
Receptionist really lovely but Dr total ripoff. My app was 2.30pm got in at 3pm. On coming out at 3.15pm I am charged long consult of $150. When I questioned why 15min appt would be long consult I was told by Dr Grace Abdukeyum it was because of how many things she had to do. The extra thing was a script n a referral. Unprofessional Dr. Don't go there.
Is this place still even open?

First I will say that all the staff are nice and professional and the wait times are reasonable.

I was having some sleep issues and wanted to be referred to a sleep practice.
I was told I had to first have a consultation. I got a blood test and was charged $95 which I understood.
I was then given the results via a phone call which lasted 2 mins. All my results were normal so the phone call was pointless. Then I was charged another $95 for the “phone consultation” that could have been substituted with a simple text.

What happened to this place? I have been going here for years and it was always cheap if not free. Not I’m booked in for two pointless “consultations” just to get a referral? I mean come on! It is now a business first and a medical establishment second.
I think I will be looking for a new place.
Lovely people but behind the times. Would be better if they had online booking like most other practises in the area (thinks that old people can't use it is the excuse I was given, however online booking just compliments phone bookings).

I found Dr Kumaravel very rude and he didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. He questioned my honesty about having no repeats left on my script and told me I need to tell my pharmacist to look better at the scripts. I went straight to the chemist after my appointment and my pharmacist reassured me that I had no repeats left on my script after looking at my records. I have seen Dr Yogalakshmi before at this practice and she was lovely, although I would not recommend Dr Kumaravel at all.
My partner made an urgent short notice appointment on a Saturday and even though they fitted her in, the service was terrible. Treated as she was being silly about genuine health concern. All the Dr did is prescribe the same antibiotics she is already on and rushed her out the door since she was the last appointment of the the day. Very unprofessional and not helpful at all. Definitely do not recommend and will not be returning.
Pros
The Reception staff offer a very npersonal service and have been accomodation when squeezing our children in for last minute appointments.

Cons
They charge very high rates. Yesterday I was charged $85 for a 5 min check up on my daughter who had a fever and a sore throat. No referral or script was required. I think it is morrally bankrupt to charge a father $1k per hour to see a DR, though this comes down to a rate of $558 per hour after the rebate . My wife and I are at a point where we are starting to weigh up the cost of visiting a DR and addressing our own health concerns.
really bad receptionist. testing your patient. not helpful at all. if she is not the owner, time to change the receptionist. she is trying to avoid people making appointment. I feel so hard making appointment with this clinic
I wouldn’t recommend someone attend this practice who may need assistance with Mental illness or requires empathy in their treatment . I found the Dr this morning lacked compassion, empathy and heart for my situation and was extremely rude.

I've been a patient of Dr Raj for 3 years, He always shown respect and courtesy on every visit. The staff are always helpful and you can always book appointments online which I find very easy and convenient.
I found Dr. Raj to be a caring, thorough doctor who listened to what I had to say and who's advice has been excellent. The staff are also pleasant and helpful.
I was welcomed as a new patient by helpful and pleasant reception staff. I was seen promptly by Dr Raj. He took a thorough history, read my records, examined me, asked more questions and listened to my answers. He was very good at explaining what he was seeing and hearing. Organised referrals for me and has continued to support me through my condition. I also had a flu shot administered by the practice sister. She was very support and gentle and most welcoming of me to Adamstown and Newcastle. I would recommend this practise to anyone needing medical support.
