Modern airport with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops. Well organized. Lots of charging stations and comfy seats.
Never again! Worst experience so far. Long queue to get to security. Even longer queue to get to passport control. Airport look like a joke!! You need to paid in order to use the toilet. Even if fly is cheaper will never use Charleroi as airport when travelling to Brussels! Very unhelpful staff. Worst airport I ever been!

On top, they charge for toilets before security controls and at arrivals! 1 euro per person only by card! This is a scandal and I wonder if it is legal. Passengers travelling through the airport, who paid airport taxes, having to pay to use the toilets. Pictures of toilets at arrivals, where the bags belts are located.

Nice airport. My favorite part was how they leave a piano in the center of the airport for the public. I'm really impressed with the talent in Belgium. I'm from America. So I also enjoyed the different food they offered too.
My first experience with this airport:
1) express parking is too expensive (they say 3€ for 30 min, but they charge 3€ for every 5 minutes). Tip: always to a parking ticket to the apparat when leaving the airport. The barrier opens automatically but if you don’t put the ticket it will “think” that you are still at the parking area and you get to pat for it.
2) no carts at the airport at all. Tip: In case you travel with a big box, take your own cart (one you use for shopping may work).
3) come to the airport a bit early, at least (1-1,5 hours before the flight) otherwise you may miss the flight. The lines seems quite long.
4) it’s a bit far. it takes 1h ride on the car to get from Brussels. (You then go back, so in total two hours only on the road).
Honestly, I would have bought a flight ticket at the Zaventem airport and saved my time, money and nervous system 😅.

Super snel!
Small airport, just for budget airlines, but with a good geographic location. From here you can easily reach different cities in Belgium, France or Netherlands. Crowded and not very smart as designed layout, need improvement on the parking area and signs.
A very beautiful and connected airport. One floor per means of transport is so clever. The only thing is that the trains did not have any sign as to where they were heading. Coming to a new country and wanting to reach the hotel and find this... it can scare someone. Luckily I had bought the tickets in advance and checked everything before heading down the stairs for the tracks
Brussels Airport is a well organized airport with fast security checks. ( At least the day that I was there). There are plenty of shops to explore, and food options are diverse, the staff is welcoming and helpful. It's a great place for a smooth and enjoyable travel experience!
I’ve arrived at many airports in Europe and this one by far is the slowest when it comes to getting through passport control for non EU passport holders. From the time I got off the plane to the point I got to baggage claim, it was well over an hour. The staff was very nice and friendly passing out water while we waited in line l, but the fact that they know to do this tells you a little about how frequent these congested lines develop. Great city to visit but as a port of entry in EU, not so much.
If I can put less than one star I would. The plan of the airport with 2 terminals is just ridiculous. You have to enter and pass security to find out your terminal is another one.
Parking is just crazy. There is a huge queue to get tickets to pay for that up to 30 min parking. Some of the parking machines are not working. Oh yes, nothing is free. Even 5 min of parking turn into 30 if you count staying in the queue to pay and then staying in the queue to leave the parking.
Toilets are not free even in the zone of flights. And they are dirty too, so I don't know for what you pay. And payment is possible only by card when many people coming from another countries (surprise!!!) Have only cash with them.
Count rather unpleasant personnel and strikes every month and you get it - Airport of Charleroi!

Flying international through this airport is an absolute nightmare. They had maybe MAYBE 1/3 of the desks open for passport control and the line was giant. We needed about 1 hour to get through this mess.
You can try to cut the line (obviously ask first) but after the glass they have workers organizing the line and you can only go so far… if you’ve got a sub 2 hour international layover here, forget making your flight.

greeted by massive 30 min queue at immigration 10 counters but only 6 operating. Toilets are paid moment you come out to arrivals greeting area. Rental car signs could be better , you have to step out of big steel revolving door and then take a lift down on right
A average airport. Queues at passport control were excessive. Security not bad. I find it bad the airport has the cheek to charge 1 euro to use the toilets! Plenty of outlets in the food court to choose from at airport prices. Overall I would consider flying here again.
A very small airport, indeed, that could be improved, although given the space not sure how. If we're comparing it with other big airports, sure, this one lacks a few things, like enough chairs, but for what it is... is decent.
Not a big airport but too many travellers for the transit. Almost missed my connecting flight while waiting 15 minutes for the special transit door to open. Also had to run, run, run round and round in the same places after immigration. Be very careful to allow plenty of time for the transit, hopefully more than 2 hours.
Completely unethical: no free toilets at this airport. You must pay 1 euro (by card only, no cash) to enter the toilets. Is this even legal, administration of the Brussels Charleroi Airport?

I thought it was something more premium and started looking for a free option, which I could not find in the immediate. I then continued to the arrivals to pick up my baggage, and here again another toilet at 1 euro. I was shocked and since I needed to use it, I was forced to pay. Outside, at the restaurant area, again another toilet at 1 euro, only card accepted.
I want to remark that in addition to the fact that you must pay for the toilets, they also use psychological mean games. They leave the entrance of door open. They display you the "product they sell" and you are enticed or forced by the urgency to pay to enter and fulfill your need.
Next time you take your cheap airline, think that in addition to the 19 euros bus shuttle to reach Brussels center, you also must add 1 euro for the usage of the toilet.

Worst parking ever. It's normal, that you have to pay more than one for the same parking time
Arrival was ok... They have new outfit/tails/glass windows... catching bags from the belt was extremly quick and easy comparable to some Henada, CDG or Buyon, if I mention just a few of bad ones... there are lots of parking possibilities... flight on new MAX isn't that confortable as in old 737... I am like 1.82 meter tall and it wasn't that confortable as you can see from the photo...
I was using toillette for FREE and there was no coins to insert to go in WC.
It is easy to find T-2 terminal building, where just a few flights are operated.
Had a very quick and correct security check ar T-1.

A large international airport with not too many planes when I arrived (Wednesday, noon) so it was not crowded. Easy to navigate. The IC train station is down below, dank, hot, and on the dirty side.
This airport has the most facilities and services for travelers. Multiple places for work and fun. A play room for kids, and pray rooms for every different faith, smoking rooms, lots of shopping places and cleanest restrooms compared to other airports like AMS and BER. I found Terminal A more comfortable than B with great seats for taking a nap and also with larger seating space at gates. The security was professional yet tried to look friendly. The only problem was that they were on a strike when I arrived, causing very long waiting lines.
Not cheap, but fast & accessible
Not a big flashy Airport. But gets the job done. You will not find so many options for eating and shopping, very few of them available at arrival and departure terminal. Downside is if you are arriving at the evenings and you need to go through the immigration, then it is horrible, will take minimum 1.5 hours to go through. The airport is clean. After 7 pm most of the shops is closed remember that.
Had a fast passage through security, did not have to wait. Worth it if you are running out of time.

There are a number of areas for smoking near all the gates. There is far too few seats in the gates 23-25 area. It is the first time that my Irish passport card was not accepted at the gate. It took one of the supervisors to be called to confirm it was ok.

This airport only smell money in every part, it’s a temple of business, buy, buy, consume, consume and then you do it again, over and over again.
But I love the design and the people working here they are so friendly. The cleaning women are dressed up in nice dresses, wearing heavy makeup and looks like stars, lovely to see;)

Let me start with the downsides: it was like 30 degrees Celsius in the area next to the Quick restaurant; all charging stations next gate A45 weren’t working.
The good thing ls about the airport: easy to find your way, clean restrooms, fantastic train connections to anywhere in Belgium and neighbor countries.

I was expecting the worst with all these bad reviews here, but my experience was good, except for the number plate recognition that didn’t work. The QR-code worked, I received the ticket and with that ticket I could leave the parking without problems. The parking is more expensive than at Zaventem, paid 107 euros for one week.
Horrible parking. To be avoided. My car was super dirty after 5 days and i was charged 25eur extra because my flight was delayed for few hours.

Maffia guys. Reserved and paid in advance. The scanner did not work and had to take a ticket according to the guard, and ended up paying double to be able to exit the parking. Plus, 3 euro for not walking fast enough to the car and exceeding the time (the parking where I was was 10 minutes walk). There is no contact number on the paying machines and the guard office is 20 min by foot. Never got my double payment back from customer service. Government lets it happen!
Close to the airport but very expensive parking. I was happy when I got a good deal for one week parking (same price as for P4), but at the end the price was double due to cancelled return flight. In case you are delay, there is no way to prolong the reservation online and you are charged a price on the spot. Even one extra hour will cost you a full day price!
Slechtste parking EVER!!!!! Slechte of geen communicatie, lange wachttijden, niet bereikbaar wanneer nodig, roekeloos rijgedrag (zonder gordel, bellen tijdens rijden en door rode lichten rijden!!!) Deze firma moesten ze verbannen om nog maar dergelijke functie te laten uitvoeren. Per slot van rekening ben je met mensen bezig.

Mauvaise communication ou absence de communication, longs temps d'attente, indisponibilité au besoin, comportement de conduite imprudent (sans ceinture, appel en conduisant et au feu rouge !!!). Ils ont dû bannir cette société pour qu'une telle fonction soit remplie. Après tout, vous êtes occupé avec les gens.

Prices are quite OK for an Airport Parking. Sometimes difficult to find a spot though. P1 is the closest to the Terminals 1&2, best option if you don't want to walk too much from your car.
