I really try to support my people but …. Why was there an employee applying her wig in the middle of the restaurant. We waited over one hour for our food.

Walked in to do a order. The person’s English was not very well. Very poor customer service. Have a son who’s anaphylactic to bananas and asked if they had a different fryer. Then myself with coeliac disease if they had A different fryer, and what foods were safe to eat. I ended up having the jerk chicken with rice with the plantain and my son just the jerk chicken with the rice. We both ended up with a bad allergic reaction. Never going to order from here again. Went in and told them what happened when I ordered from there and I was literally yelled at And miss treated by the staff. I do not recommend this place to anyone especially anyone with allergies as they are not aware of any allergies and don’t really care about their customers.

Horrible service ordered my food off the uber app for pick up when I arrived the old man refused to give me my food for no reason wasted my time. Luckily I was able to get food somewhere else down the street. I will never order there again. My household has ordered from there for year and due to their poor customer service we will stop

Omgness is all I can say , just came back from Ghana fell in love with Nigerian food and luckily I found this hole in a wall restaurant 🥰 and to my surprise Nigeria in Scarborough the Food the Service the cleanliness is dynamite ,I highly recommend this place.And the owner Tasty thank you so much for you hospitality definitely will be back 🥰

I'm the foreman at a site nearby, and I decided to give this place a try a few weeks back. The BBQ chicken this place serves, is the truth. The flavour is immaculate. The spices are in perfect balance with the universe. Eating it was like the first time I heard Led Zeppelin. I wanted to save some for lunch tomorrow, but I'm really struggling right now, I don't think I'm strong enough to resist eating it all tonight.
Went to eat at Sahara about 1 year ago and been wanting to go back since, we finally came back and the food was just as phenomenal as I remembered. I’m looking forward to our next visit

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The fried fish is delicious and the service is fantastic. The owner is very kind and the food comes out fast. They also had fun YouTube videos (like Americas got talent) playing to entertain everyone.

Repeat customer, I decided to try something different and ordered the fried fish and plantain combo. When I received my order I was given fish head and plantain. I politely let them know I don’t eat fish head and if I knew “fried fish” meant fish head I would have never ordered it. They refused to correct the order and advised I could pay extra for grilled fish with no plantain.

Went to Tasty Jollof Restaurant with my fiancé yesterday for a late lunch. We ordered the beef Egusi soup, Jollof rice and a side of plantain. The beef was tender and the flavours vibrant. Hands down BEST. EGUSI. SOUP. IN. TOWN. PERIOD. Will be back soon. Thank you Mr. Henry!
This restaurant is magical. The owner is a human doing exactly what they are put on this earth to do and sharing their dreams so honestly with others through their meals. The plating is delightful, and then the flavor is astonishing. The atmosphere and decor is so charmingly its own, like a lovely cozy garden at your childhood friend's house. The service and the timing of the courses flowed so naturally and perfectly, the next dish arriving just after we finished the previous. It's the best dining experience I've ever had. It truly felt so special. The Niagara Falls area is so lucky to have this place! Thank you so much for the meal. 💖
My mother, my daughter and I ordered food here...it was my daughter's choice because it was her birthday. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious! We had never had this kind of food before...but we'll be ordering it again! The staff was so friendly, too! (Apparently, my mother seems to have developed a love of fried plantains!)
Save yourself the $25 for a 2-meat combo and eat somewhere else. I don’t understand all the 4-star reviews…unless they’re paid for. I had the goat and chicken combo with rice and plantain. The goat was as tough as leather, not one tender piece in the bunch…was chewy and difficult to swallow…the chicken wasn’t too far off - dry, dry, dry. The combo is mostly rice and very little meat. I essentially paid $25 for a bowl of rice that would probably cost less than a dollar. Save your time, money, and teeth - and go somewhere else to eat. Meat this though isn’t food.
I had a bad experience with them. And twice already they were mixing up my orders and when I called for the second time the guy over the phone was rude. You really have to review your customer experience. It’s sucks.

This was our first time ordering. We ordered two family platters for the variety and everything was delicious. The flavour was amazing, the chicken was juicy, the rice dish was perfect.
We'll be ordering from here again.

10/10 recommend you come here! We enjoyed a delicious lunch, served with soup to start! The chicken shawarma is a generous serving of deliciousness. I highly recommend asking for the Arabic tea! Andrew was an excellent server, who was the nicest and added a personal and fun experience to our meal!

I didn't listen and I paid for it. Biggest waste of money. $14 for one drumstick. They didn't even have the decency to throw in some rice in there. No AC in there and its about 30 degrees in there. Also not sure why they have someone who doesn't speak English manning the phone and front desk. Go to the Indian place next door.
This is a strictly take-out restaurant. There are no chairs and tables for dining. My Ghanaian and Nigerian friends say that the food is great. I am from the Caribbean so the flavours are very heavy for my tastes, but still good.
I do not know who gave you 4 stars but this is terrible. The food is revolting. I ordered a large fish. They sent me something soggy as though it has been boiled. It looks boiled. Vey messy. This is not even a large fish. Nothing on the side, not even salad. All for $38? Even for $7 I wouldn't order from this place ever again. Absolutely horrendous. See photos and judge for yourself.
Lovely, it was Amazing. I love it and more importantly, my Caribbean friend loved it. I came in an hour before closing and had the jollof rice, Abacha and suya; the complimentary zobo drink was great. I must say I finally found home here. Also, the waitress was lovely. It’s a little far from my location but I’ll make that journey anytime any day.
My organization made the wonderful choice of using Tasty Jollof's catering service for a large meeting and let me just say it went above all our expectations. Their serving portions are generous and the quality of the food was phenomenal. We ordered jollof rice, egusi soup, chicken, plantains, and their garden salad. Everything was absolutely amazing! Additionally, Bridgette was very accommodating to all our dietary restrictions and she provided exemplary service. Everything went better than I expected and I would most definitely use their service for any future needs.
This is really just a place for picking up. Tried it for the first time today. We went to pick up at the designated time after ordering it online. We had to wait another 20 minutes. Food is good and we will definitely be back. But I highly recommend ordering ahead.

Scam. Tell me how this amounts to a “whole chicken”. Maybe if the chicken was hit by a car and only had half of its body remaining.
They just placed the chicken on a bed of rice to hide the fact there was 5 bites of chicken (when you consider the bones). Sad because the flavour is actually good.

The food is very sweet, I would recommend it to anybody, they have such tasty meals especially the jollof rice
Excellent West African food. Flavor on the Jollof Rice was amazing and the chicken was slow cooked until it fell off the bone. The Okro Stew had awesome flavor, but watch your spice level -- this one caught me by surprise and I do like spicy! Really kicks you in the head. The hibiscus drink was sweet and floral and with a delicious hit of allspice. All in all a great meal and will definitely be back. Great find in Niagara Falls!
This place didn't disappoint. The customer service over the phone was great and the food was excellent! Ordered the family platter with chicken and I couldn't stop eating! The chicken was well seasoned and tender - and the charcoal grill flavour was amazing. The plantain was oh my goodness yummy. The only thing I'd recommend improvement on is the salad; it wasn't the freshest looking (lettuce looked a little old). That said, I'm sure give them more business in the future. Bravo, Makasi!

We had dinner there during our recent trip in Niagara Falls. It was a great experience. The food was very tasty, the service was great, the price was very reasonable compared to the area, and the portions were large. If we go to the area, we will visit there again.
When I'm craving African food, I go to this place. Not only is the food inexpensive, but it is also wonderful. I order through Uber Eats as well as go in person. The staff is extremely kind and accommodating. I would recommend their white rice and the ayamase sauce, as well as the Jollof rice, which comes with your choice of chicken or beef. I enjoy the meat pie and the puff puff. This is the restaurant I always recommend to my African friends.
The chicken was not awful - very dry but decent with their hot sauce. The jollof was inedible. It must have been old or spoiled or something because the rice smelled and tasted like a barn.

There were a lot of food portions in the order that I was able to take some of the food to-go for eating later at home.
The taste of suya was not too much different from other grilled food; however, suya still has its own distinct character. The combination of the grilled meat with the salad or coleslaw with the plantain and jolof rice was exquisite. The spice mix use was also just a little different to make suya distinct.
My friend had all praises for his order of the suya wrap. The food item was very filling with generous portions of protein included in it.
My only complaint was their transition into the new menu pricing and with their online order was not very smooth at all. They had a card with a QR code that should direct you to the online site for ordering, but the code was not quick to register. There was also no place on the online site to enter the discount code to get 10% off your order. The operators should have been better trained and familiar with the whole online order process and the expected interface that customers will run into.

First time I tried it was the founder came to share African culture in college. After the first trial, I found that the food was yummy and I just realised it was my first time to try African food ! I visited there today for the second time and the food was still delicious! You can see the box is full of ingredients and the price is reasonable haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Unfortunately the chicken made me sick. It had an aftertaste and I believe it was old and reheated and put in onions and a lot of spice. Not impressed & i haven’t been able to eat anything for 3 days.
Very very selectively TERRIBLE customers service! Have been ordering with them for 3 years and today they had misrepresented an item (they showed they had eba and ogbono only not to have the eba and they delivered something else) and delivered the wrong order (pounded yam) when I called and asked for an equal exchange of a different equally priced soup in my next order they said I would have to pay for it or get a compensation with appetizers, this was ridiculous to me because it is not fair on my end. Mind you I was willing to pay for delivery and order something extra but no they refused and typically this has happened before with them giving a wrong swallow but I usually just add a note to replace the swallow with something else but today I wanted the soup replaced instead. Very disappointed and I hope they do better in the future even though I will not be ordering from them ever again cos to know this is how they treat customers is very alarming and shows lack of care or empathy. Checked the website and it still shows the misrepresentation of the order so still no improvement.
I ordered food online from there website only to be told the indomie pack is not complete 36/40 and the poundo yam as advertised is not available. this is unacceptable to make matters worse i have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks to get a refund so if i spent my last dollar to buy food here i will be disappointed. so my advise will be not for you to order online as it seems it does not reflect their real time inventory. then when i complained about the poor customer service i was told i was naive. can you imagine ? best to eat in i guess but it will be my last time ordering anything online from them.
This was hands down the BEST restaurant experience I have had in a while. My Kid and I wanted to try a new place and came across Sahara Palace. From the moment we walked in the door we were taken by the calm, cool atmosphere, and the warm welcome and hospitality we received from Andrew.
We choose the set meal at $45/person as it seemed like a great way to try a bit of everything. We weren't wrong. From start to finish every dish was not only delicious, but a beautiful work of art. Simply stunning!

Seriously incredible! Andrew (our host) is super personable and friendly, portions are massive, and O. M. G. the food is all so beautiful and absolutely FULL of flavour! We got the Set meal so we got to try a variety of items and despite how full we were we couldn't help but order some baklava anyway! 100% from me, definitely coming here over and over!

I just love this place! My go-to spot whenever I'm missing my homeland,I ordered the waakye, and it was delicious as always. It's a Ghanaian rice and peas dish served with goat stew, gari, spaghetti, shito pepper, plantain and boiled egg. I also got a small chicken suya, omg yummmm! Good portions, can feed 2 people and still had leftovers. This place never disappoints, and the service was friendly. I'll always be back ;)

We celebrated black history month with our after school students this week and we were able to enjoy some of the delicious traditional african foods offered, some of our picky eaters even tried and enjoyed the meal. The owner was fabulous and extremely accomodating, we will definitely be ordering again for other events held at the center.
Finally, after a year of living down the road from African BBQ House I finally gave them a try. So good I had the Lamb Skewers Plate; 2 Skewers of Lamb served with Jollof rice, chef salad, and plantains. Was impressed with all the flavours and the portion was perfect. I suggest giving them a try if you haven’t.
I recently dined at Sahara in Edmonton and was blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor was beautiful and the service was top-notch. The menu had a great variety of options and the food was absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the beef shawarma wrap and the baklava for dessert. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. Food was so good I didn't take pictures haha. I highly recommend Sahara to anyone looking for a great meal in Edmonton. Five stars all around!
Just had some egusi soup and pounded yam. It was lovely :). I was hoping it would be spicier but it was still delicious. Highly Recommend this location. Will defiantly try other other menu items.
Apparently this place is hit or miss. Unfortunately for me it didn’t hit this time. Beef suya was so chewy and the jollof rice didn’t have a lot of flavour it was just smoky and greasy. I will try again but with something different.

I will rate the food I have tried out of 10. For jollof rice, I will give it 7/10. The first time I tried it was in October 2022, and it was awesome. However, I later noticed that the oil content was getting too high. Next is sharwama; it's not bad, but you can make it better by adding more beef or chicken, Poundo yam deserves a 9/10 rating. As for amala, the soup was too salty. Gizzard is awesome 9/10. The meatpie deserves a perfect 10/10 rating, and puffpuff gets a 7/10.

African food, but meat needs special attention
First time trying West African food, was overall a good experience. Got Combo 1 with beef suya, jollof rice, fried plantain, cabbage and onion salad, pepper sauce and pop for $21.20 plus tax. May seem a bit on the pricier side but enough food for two meals for me.
They do not skimp with the meat, which was good to see. Had a strong smokey taste which was unique. The combination of the salad, rice and meat worked well. Though be very careful with the pepper sauce, it is tasty but seriously spicy!
They do not skimp with the meat, which was good to see. Had a strong smokey taste which was unique. The combination of the salad, rice and meat worked well. Though be very careful with the pepper sauce, it is tasty but seriously spicy!
Dinned in here with my colleagues, and decided to not visit this restaurant ever again! We preordered the food (30 minutes in advance) but still it took them 40 minutes to prepare our orders (not even all of them). The price they had on their website and menue wasn’t updated. The portion wasn’t convenient for the prices that they’ve asked for. Restaurant wasn’t very clean and tbh, the food wasn’t authentic at all. The staff was offended after hearing our comments about price and quality of food.
I was really excited when my friend brought me for lunch. The service was meh. The food was good, not amazing. The portion was great but the food was room temperature and seriously lacked flavor. It was if they cooked with no spice at all. Disappointing when Nigerian food is normally packed full of flavour and spice. When I asked for pepper sauce, they brought me Frank's Red hot sauce!! I felt offended at that point lol I would go back and give them a second shot BC I have heard good reviews - maybe the day I went was an off day?
I visited this place ... The food is good, the service is good, the ambiance is great .. call ahead if you need food for pickup.. or enjoy the ambiance while waiting the food
I will give a 5 star rating but the stew or soup portions are embarrassing. It’s so small for no reason. I understand we are in a recession but it isn’t so cheap. The soup is always half of that tiny bowl. Do better please!!!
I'd give this place 5 stars for the authenticity of the dishes. Nigerian food at it's best. But a 2 star for the portions as there too small unless your feeding just yourself.

Only enough for 1 person really or samples for 2. Each dish with delivery came to over 22$
Not worth it for the amount of food you get for us. Besides that though it's good food just to expensive and we 2 where left wanting more.

Excellent experience every time! The owner is so very nice and always provides excellent customer service! I have always received excellent service and I am always welcomed. My Cambodian friend and I had lunch from here and she still talks about the delicious okro soup and pounded yam!
Absolutely love this chicken, just so much flavour. The rice was perfect too. Looking forward to visiting again very soon!
This place is receiving unfair reviews. Took the chance on it last night and boy oh boy were we glad. The food was INCREDIBLEY flavourful. Like wow every bite lit up our taste buds and left us hankering for more. The fried plantains were top notch. The djollof rice was quite nice. The half chicken was unbelievable. The veggie samosas, they tasted different but the spices and flavours were out of this world delicious. The dough was a tad chewy but didn't ruin the experience by any means. Flavour is king. I chop the texture up to being delivered and not fresh in restaurant. The Jamaican patties were a nice cheap add on. Let me tell you the value for your money is fantastic. Incredibly delicious food. Super flavourful and very well priced. Highly recommend. This has just become our go to takeout place for sure! Can't wait to try more food!
Great Combination of a Restaurant and African Grocery store. The food was delicious and arrived on time. The Rice and Fish stew we ordered was totally out of this world and the Chin chin - please don't leave this store without the Chrispy chin chin. Amazing Amazing food and service. Thank you.
I've only ever ordered delivery via uber from here and the food is hot and fresh and delicious every time. Love the plantains. Always a great char on the chicken. I was super hungry and already ate quite a few bites of everything but here's the quarter chicken meal:
I have never visited Africa before but the food takes you there with every bite. I first ordered the chicken combo and it was awesome, today I ordered the fish and it was so delicious !
Tasty jollof is definitely the best restaurant I have visited here in the GTA. The variety of fresh meals being prepared are finger-licking good, the customer service is amazing and I always get value for my money’s worth. I usually order Amala & Ewedu, Efo riro, Suya, Ewa goyin, Buka stew, Lunch/Dinner platter amongst others. And by the way, the location is very convenient.
My fiance and I have not had this food in so long and finally today we were able to get it. My fiance was waiting with patiently and he was excited he took his shirt off to eat the food it was so amazing he loved it and so did I. Foods always been fresh and good never any issues , the chef is very polite and proffessional we love chrispy's best place for real aunthentic food!
BBQ Golden Grill is one of the best African restaurants in Ottawa. Their charcoal BBQ chicken is amazing and their goat is really good too. Very flavourful and tasty in generous portions while reasonably priced. Martha the owner of the restaurant was so accommodating and nice. I recommend it without hesitation.
Bought goat meat on Uber, meat was like 45% and a onions the rest. Next time add Moore meat
Everything is good , owner is nice 👍 but only one problem I hate the most is the time . this the 3rd time I come and they are closed. I come from far away and the app says open but once I get there it’s closed they are never open on time 👎👎👎👎👎they work when ever they want to .
Honestly I’m very disappointed by the food quality . The Jollof rice has no taste ( even salt) and the chicken was disgusting ( undercooked, no spices ,nothing ) .I’m never ordering again

This place is hardly ever open.Just the male friends of owner sitting in the total seating of 1 table and a handful of chairs.Just a coffee machine on counter.The man at counter very unfriendly as were the men sitting and glaring.I asked what was on menu and he replied "we don't serve food!!!! An array of outdated packaged filthy spices,coffee beans.😫😫😫

I had such a great time with my long time friends who I haven't seen in a long time. The meals were incredible with a really affordable price. Oh! The customer experience was super awesome. They were very welcoming and friendly - we felt at home.

I had a fantastic grilled chicken wrap. Love that place is so clean and organized. Lovely staff and great food. Never had such a delicious wrap. Well seasoned and toasted to the point. Beautiful dish for pictures.
This place is a hidden gem! We get a bit of everything evertime we visit and thus far its become a few times a week now, since we dicovered it. Customer service is exceptional, ambiance is a whole vibe and of course the food is delicious!
It's best to take it to go but the food is to die for wow.
Really disappointed by their sizes we chose the 48$ Meal for the 6 person that included 2 whole chicken , 2 sides and 2 salade. We ordered it on UberEats not only did it forced us to add 2 salades for 2.99$ each so on the end the 48$ meal for 6 ended up being 53$ something no tax. Then the food came the sides were ridiculously small like how is this a 6 person meal we chose the Haitian rice and bean and French fries the sizes were the same sizes they serve you for 1 person like come on !
