Really smooth , well kept . 10/10
Really nice set up and I love the lounge in the middle. Great community rink.
My husband takes my son almost every day and they love it especially on hot days it's nice place to play inside. Friendly staff and nice cafeteria but only open Friday Saturday and Sunday. Awesome place for the kids.
We celebrated our kids' superhero birthday at this venue and it was spectacular! Our guests commented that it was the best birthday party they have ever attended! Sumit (the owner) granted us a custom package to meet our needs at a very reasonable rate and was very hospitable towards our special requests to emphasize our superhero theme and make the day memorable for our kids. His staff was absolutely wonderful on the day of the party. They were so dependable, reliable and accommodating all day. They worked so hard for us to make sure every stage of our party was organized and on schedule. They also helped us decorate the rooms and Sumit let us come a bit earlier to do so. They even helped clean up well after the party. We greatly appreciated their support and hospitality. The party would not have gone as smoothly without them. My children, our families and guests of all ages felt so comfortable and had a blast! The toddlers were safe in their age-appropriate section and the older children couldn't get enough of the grand indoor playground. It occupied them the whole time and they didn't want to leave, while the parents were worry-free. We highly recommend this incredible venue and the service it provides for any kids' event!
Went here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a great experience! There is unlimited time allowed for playing -that is what made this place different than many other local indoor playgrounds. You can stay as long as you want! The small kids and toddler play area was well kept. The main kids play area was also well managed and fairly clean. We did not carry change or coins for any arcade games but that is something I would bring next time. The bathroom was clean overall. I appreciated that there was a parking space for strollers outside of the play area because it made me feel comfortable that my small kid won’t trip or stumble as they run wild through the play place. I also appreciated that there was a proper room dedicated for shoes and jackets. This also prevents clutter while kids are running wild inside the play area. One thing I will be sure to check for next time is whether or not there is a water bottle filling station. One last thing- I did not have to fill out any waiver for falls or safety which was interesting and different than other play grounds. However, since it was clutter free it’s no big deal. It was a pleasant time and I will definitely return here for sure! Thank you Kidsports Playground for a fabulous time!
The institution is very cool! Many slot machines. playrooms for children from one year and older. The staff is very polite, friendly and always ready to help and advise. My children and I were here for the first time. We really liked everything. to all our children. And the most important thing is that the little princess liked it. this establishment has a playroom for the little ones. The price is quite acceptable for a rest for three children and two adults for a whole day, very cool. Therefore, I would recommend this facility to everyone for recreation with children. But I wish you prosperity in the future. I think we will also go there next Sunday.

Safe, interactive and professional complex for ice sports! Delicious wings, too :)
Two well maintained rinks with clean locker rooms. And a half decent snack bar. Very busy all the time. They also have a great pro shop with skate sharpening.
Excellent facilities friendly staff and reasonable rent
Always a pleasure to work with
Celebrated my son’s 7th birthday here. All the kids had a great time and really enjoyed the huge play area and arcade games. Birthday party was well organized with good pizza and ordered some nice hot fries. They also had a nice separate toddler section that my younger daughter enjoyed.
Perfect place for kids indoor play. Good size of rooms for Birthday party. My daughter enjoyed through out the slot.
The arena has a great atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Bonus having a hockey store in the arena. The arcade games are a lot of fun and the food is pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised to find lobster special available, which is rare for an arena but amazing!
Great place to bring you kids. We had our sons 3rd birthday here. Very clean and accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience.
Was there for the March Girls Hockey Tournament first time there great atmosphere to be in

I have been to over 1,500 hockey games and time and again the refs in TMR prove that in order to be certified you must attend a Stevie Wonder and Mr Magoo Master class. They have the distinction of holding the top 5 spots for worst officiated game. Last night we have a new number 1, of course from TMR.

No it was not the checking call on a player who had the puck. A "penalty" that happened on the red line and the player had enough time to skate the entire length and shoot before thr whistle was blown.

It wasn't even the call where there was a stoppage of play with the puck in the corner because the ref lost sight of the puck.

Not even the tripping penalty on a player 20' away from the guy who got tripped.

The final contender would be the roughing call on a player who was on the bench.

No, none of that, the call that propelled this rag tag trio of incompetents is as follows.

An open ice cross check to the back of the neck on a player at least 6 seconds removed from the play.

A hit so hard that the player goes flying 5' and breaks his helmet on the ice. A hit so hard that someone felt it necessary to call city security.

A hit so hard that the ref, in his infinite wisdom, felt was a 2-minute minor.

I recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Grandravine Arena, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. As a dedicated member of the Grandravine Tornadoes, the arena has become a second home, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts on this sporting haven.

One of the standout features of the Grandravine Arena is the consistently friendly and accommodating staff. From the moment I entered the facility, the reception was warm, and the staff's dedication to providing top-notch service was evident. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any inquiries or concerns contributed significantly to the overall positive atmosphere.

Being a part of the Grandravine Tornadoes, the arena has played a pivotal role in enhancing my sporting journey. The facilities are well-maintained, providing an optimal environment for athletes to hone their skills. The ice rinks are meticulously groomed, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable playing surface for hockey enthusiasts like myself. The management's commitment to maintaining high standards in facility upkeep is commendable.

Pros:

Friendly Staff: The welcoming and accommodating demeanor of the staff enhances the overall experience for visitors.
Well-Maintained Facilities: The consistently groomed ice rinks and well-kept facilities create an optimal environment for sports enthusiasts.
Community Atmosphere: Grandravine Arena fosters a sense of community, making it an ideal place for individuals and teams alike to come together and share their passion for sports.
Accessibility: Conveniently located, the arena is easily accessible, making it a prime choice for local sports enthusiasts.
However, like any facility, there are some areas that could be improved:

Cons:

Limited Spectator Seating: The arena could benefit from increased seating capacity for spectators, especially during high-demand events.
Parking Challenges: While the arena is accessible, parking can be challenging during peak hours. Expanding parking options or promoting alternative transportation methods could alleviate this issue.
In conclusion, my time at the Grandravine Arena has been nothing short of amazing. The combination of friendly staff, well-maintained facilities, and a strong sense of community make it an excellent venue for sports enthusiasts. Despite minor areas for improvement, the overall experience at Grandravine Arena is highly positive, making it a standout choice for both athletes and spectators alike.

Great experience for a corporate type event with colleagues. Arena was clean and well maintained for ice skating activities. Fully equipped with mini banquet halls and reserved changing rooms. Also a shop close by for sharpening skates if the need arises.
Great parking also
Great rink to play at - big change rooms with access right out onto the benches, good ice, plenty of parking.
I find it odd that there isn't a front reception, but the staff are lovely and I find it great that there are so many rinks!

The heating in the stands is really good but the arena staff are just not good at there jobs they started zamboniing the ice 6 minutes late made them like 10 minutes late for there icetime as well as did a horrible job on the ice with missed spots and chunks of ice everywhere.
Had to pay to get in during "free skate" for whatever reason, only to be kicked out for not wearing a helmet...

I've never been to a skate arena where I had to wear a helmet, nor have I ever had to pay to get in a municipal arena before, very weird.

Good place to spend the day watching hockey! I like that it has a second floor view of the 3 ice rinks without having to be next to it if you don't want to be cold. Yesterday was a busy day for them and the cons I found was the chair availability per table since we needed to go around looking for empty chairs to move to our table, plus the delay on our food order due to the amount of orders they were taking. Otherwise, it was a good experience.
Amazing community facility. It brings people and specifically kids together ❤️.
And the bar has great food with very reasonable prices.
Most importantly, the staff in every corner of this place is caring and friendly.

The skating rink for leisure free ride (public ride) is open on Mondays (6:45-7:45 pm), Saturdays (7-9 pm) and Sundays (3:15-5:15 pm). The information is of 9th December, the worker told me, that they might add some hours for winter holidays (school break). Enjoy your ride! 😉
No gear for rent, so don't forget your own skates and helmets (children under 5 y.o. need a helmet and aren't allowed without it into the rink).
Great establishment! As someone to works and plays here I can tell you the ice quality on rink a is perfect, and decent on rink b. Well heated and cooled building. Spacious changerooms.
Great place, parking kinda of small, but I love the hockey rink

Great concept but a bit neglected.

There are not many indoor playground options, so I cannot be too critical. There is a lot to do here for the kids, younger and older areas separated. a lot of the equipment is dated and you could tell the equipment has not been serviced on a regular basis (everything seems safe though).

My biggest concern is how there are a lot of arcade games throughout. They are hard to avoid. For some kids like mine, all they want to do is look and play with the arcade rather than running around.

The place is a bit dated but a great resource for the community. The seating needs to be improved however. Aluminum benches are not what's expected for watching junior hockey. The seating, especially on the south side, need the rows to be more vertical. Hard to watch a game from there, a lot is blocked out.

One of the newer and nicer arenas in the city. Dressing rooms are spacious and clean, and the waiting area is nice and warm.
It was a pleasure to come here and provide lighting technology for a banner raising ceremony for the Mount Royal University Cougars hockey team, in celebration of them becoming the best team in all of Canada. The electrical in the building was so well done that we were able to run 1400+ watts off of one circuit (which is good, as it was the only option). The popcorn is also delicious! Austin was a pleasure to work with, and all of the staff and volunteers here were super kind, welcoming, and helpful. Hope to be back to provide services again! 😀
Very nice arena, loads of parking, and very nicley stocked snack bar for coffee, tea's, Gatorade etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they also have curling there as well.

The ice is good, but it's an older place. Cold, and a lot of the sight lines are horrible. The drop onto the ice is steep, and borderline dangerous. You know what you get when you get there, I guess.

Pros
Fries hot
Clean location

Cons
Ordered honey garlic wings with seasoned fries. Wings tasted like Frank's red hot mixed with honey garlic. Told the bar staff. Didn't do anything.

Didn't take photo. Looked like honey garlic. Kitchen staff was blonde guy with a red hat.
Frames Community Areas really puts the area's in its name with 3 hockey rinks and a bar & lounge up stairs inbetween two area's makes this place a quick favorite for all you're hockey enjoyment. Looking forward to going back for an other game and trying something at the lounge.

I registered for Play to Learn but was told my group was combined with Play to Develop participants; I found the drills too challenging as I'm just learning to play hockey. It would have been helpful if a note was made on the registration page so one is fully aware of what they're signing up for. As for the lessons, instructors were nonetheless friendly, encouraging, and were willing to adapt the exercises based on skill levels.

I really don't like this place.
Miscommunication between staffs were awful.

At first day of lesson, we were 2 minutes late due to horrible traffic jam to get there(We were caught in the car for 30 min). And suddenly encountered ridiculous Mobile Health Check Request. To do that, My kid lost 11 minutes more. They never let my daughter came in first. Lesson time is only 30 minutes, we could attend only for 17 minutes.
We go Delbrook Recreation Center, West Vancouver Community Center, Harry Jeromme Recreation Center, but any of them has no such thing like Mobile Health Check Request which has to be done every time we go. And when I said I've never heard this process when I enrolled, an old lady said they have sent an email just a day before that day with grumpy voice, so I checked my email account and even spam folder but there was no such an email. And one staff told us to go to changing room 8, and another staff told us to go to changing room 5. They were really confused themselves.

The second day we went, when I wanted to come in again to pick up my kid, a young woman said I could wait at the side gate instead of letting me in. Of course my kid didn't know where to go, so she was searching for me everywhere with her skates on. I wondered, every other parents came out of there with there kids, why did she ask me to wait at the side door?only to me?

On the third day, I waited my daughter at the side gate like she said a week ago, this time I told my daughter where to meet me. But she was scolded by an old woman like, 'Where's your mom?Did you come in to the arena with your skates on?You can't go outside with your skates on'. I told the woman, a young woman told me to wait here, but she said that's because I was in the wrong line,so she could have thought my kid is in the other class. No! That's was not my fault! I was in the right line which is for North Van Rec Center! They could make mistakes, but they never admit it.

On fourth day when it's time for pickup, a man said I could wait in the hallway because it was still 4 minutes left. So I was in the hallway, he even followed me and made sure I was in the right place, but right after then a woman came to me talking, 'You can't be here. You should be in the changing room' I told her a man told me to wait in the hallway, but she repeated the same thing.

And today, I saw a family was waiting in the hallway, but no staff told them they couldn't be there. What????

I don't know gathering in a small changing room is better than waiting in the hallway.
Everybody here says different thing whenever I go there.
I would never let my daughter take lesson which takes place at this place.

Nice smooth concrete floor during the summer. Gotta bring your own stuff, but it's free to use
Just a well designed and well run arena here in Calgary! The location is so convenient too with easy access to Crowchild Trail.

Parking is plentiful and well laid out with two different lots feeding two different entrances.

The store inside is run by knowledgable and friendly people.

The rink inside has great ice snd the locker rooms are clean.

There are even enough vending machines for everyone that comes too.
From top to bottom it is a great plsce to skate.

The upstairs lounge and party room are great for pizza parties for teams and parents.

Getting to anything other than room 1, 2, or 3 is kind of a pain. The rooms are relatively clean and odor free. The ice is usually pretty good. This is one of the few remaining rinks (I can't think of an other) where the player benches are opposite to each other (rather than today's rinks where the players home and visitor benches are on the same side). It is also one of the much warmer arena's, even if you are not under the gas heaters. Parking is fine for most practices during the week, but can get challenging on weekends.
Clean and updated facilities. Pro shop guys are great for sharpening and tips! - and well stocked if you need gear.
All change rooms are downstairs.
Good amount of heated viewing as well.
Snack bar is limited, but has the basics and open most days

the facilities are great, however every time I have ever gone there, the refs are poorly trained. Children get hurt and are lying on the ice and the opposing team has to stop the game to get the child help as the refs make no calls.
Horrible referees, they give hockey in TMR a bad reputation.

This may be one of my favorite arenas, and I've seen many of them on the island of Montreal! It's always clean, the staff is kind and the locker rooms are sizable. I've been told the seats around the arena are comfortable, compared to others, and there's adequate seating room in the lobby. We love coming here because there's always parking available and the surrounding park is gorgeous!

I used to teach and skate here for a long time. If you want courses to learn to skate it's great, good for hockey and a really nice place to free skate if you want to come casually and skate with family or friends. Downside is it's a small arena relative to others but not by that much.
