Best Coffee shops in Canada

The coffee here is outstanding and there's plenty of flavors, so your match is definitely on the menu. The food was so-so for me. The salad is great, the hash browns are crispy and to my liking; however, the waffles are kind of bland. I'm a little disappointing the syrup is an additional $1.00 if the waffles don't stand well alone.

The menu also says minimum 1 order per person. I'm not sure if this is applicable to food, but I think passing by for just a drink is well worth your time.

Absolutely loved the ice cream here—easily some of the best I've ever had! The flavors are incredibly rich and authentic, and every bite was a delight. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch treat!

The food was nice but the ice cream was amazing especially the charcoal flavor. Very friendly service and very cute place for pictures.

Food: 5/5 cause everything was made with high quality! I had the waffle sandwich on the left side and highlights to note are the eggs were huge, the chips are house-made with a herb seasoning (I saw a previous poor review saying the chips were too oily for them, but as they’re house-made how do you expect them to not be a little oily?), the waffle is big and had herbs within the waffle, all the other ingredients were fresh! My parents who ordered the other two smoked salmon dishes also love their meals and had no complaints. Also, the dishes were all large portions! Most important to mention, the latte, cappuccino, and matcha rose latte we had were all so delicious and high quality.

Service: I saw another previous complaint about slow service, however they don’t note that it’s due to there being only one guy to serve all of the tables! The waiter was so nice and did his best to accommodate our needs and changes to our meals we asked for. They really need to hire 1 more person or give him a raise because this guy was running around trying to serve a packed restaurant! I’ll also note we went early at around 10:30 am to avoid a long wait and yes we only had to wait less than 10 mins for a table.

Atmosphere: Nice atmosphere to come and hang out with friends. The only thing I could complain about is that it can get noisy if there’s any group a little loud, however it is a small restaurant so any noise travels far and that’s not in the employees’ hands.

Overall, would highly recommend coming here if you don’t have a big group of people as seating is very limited, and try to make a reservation if possible. I’ll be visiting again for sure!

Awesome brunch place! They have a decent selection of egg benny, waffles and pastas. Drinks are tasty too. Yummy 😋

Great coffee and breakfast place. It was a bit smaller than we expected but breakfast and coffee were top notch. We had the eggs Benedict (not served with hollandaise but still tasty) and the scrambled eggs with a topping of corn/bacon and tomatoes…very yummy. Coffee lattes were also really good.

A nice local cafe, very welcoming and cozy vibes. Really like the smoke salmon and the ice cream is def the best!

The salmon eggs Benedict was amazing! The potatoes were crispy and fluffy, the salad was refreshing with a citrusy dressing, and the smoked salmon complimented the eggs. The crab cake eggs benedict was also very tasty. The place was busy when we came, so we sat on barstools near the window. The service was friendly and our food came quickly.

I have visited Corner Café a couple of times now and it is the best brunch place I’ve gone to. They have such a large variety of brunch food and desserts. There really is something there for everyone. The first time I visited I got the mango waffles and fell in love. It comes with a whole waffle, ice cream, whipped cream, mango purée and mango chunks. This is a mango lovers dream and it really was that.

They also have a large variety of drink, coffee and tea in particular. As someone who doesn’t enjoy coffee, even I was surprised by the amount of coffee options that seemed appealing to me.

This café also offers a large variety of board and card games. While waiting for our food, me and my friend took the chance to play cards against humanity which was such a fun way to pass the time.

Their soda’s are also amazing. I got a white peach soda and my friend got one too. The only thing I would warn about is to mix it before drinking it. Me and my friend made the mistake of drinking it straight, but as you can see in the picture, the syrup was sitting at the bottom so we just got straight syrup which was way too sweet. So don’t make the same mistake, stir your drinks :)

Other than that, Corner Café has such a friendly, positive and relaxing vibe that can be enjoyed by anyone. Would definitely recommend a visit!

I ordered the steak and eggs with medium rare steak; however, the steak was undercooked but they did offer to remake the steak. The interior had limited spacing and I could only sit on the high bar stools on the side since the small tables were all taken (there were very few). The AC was also really cold when I was there. Overall, I would rate it a three star because the server politely offered to remake the dish.

Pleasant and homely restaurant/cafe that’s perfect for a weekend brunch/lunch. There was a large selection of crafted coffee drinks so you are bound to find one you like. It is quite busy on weekends so a reservation highly recommended, otherwise be prepared to wait. The staff are very friendly and try their best to accommodate everyone despite how busy it gets.

Had home made waffles breakfast and it comes 4 pieces and it tastes good. The cappuccino is 4 out of 5. The environment is cozy and comfy. The ham & egg sandwich upgraded to waffles for just a $1 more. Green tea is normal. The ham is luncheon meat, I expect the regular ham. Server is friendly and nice.

i got the smoked salmon and mushroom cream pasta. the pasta was like a 3.5/5, it wasn't bad. smoked salmon is a weird combination to be put into the dish tbh so i wish i got chicken instead. nonetheless, it wasn't that bad. the iced Viet latte was pretty good tho!

I eat at A Corner Cafe pretty often and always enjoy it, but don't usually get the crepes (have gotten the waffles before). I decided to get the mango crepes today and they're supposed to come with a scoop of ice cream. So with the waffles, they have the scoop right on top, so you can imagine my confusion why there was so much liquid on the plate and everything was soft when it was brought to the table. I asked the waiter, "Isn't there supposed to be ice cream with this?" and he said, "Yes, it's in the crepe". They wrapped the cold ice cream IN the hot crepes I'm assuming... so obviously it all melted and just pooled all over the plate.

If this is what they were going for, then this is just a preference thing and a concept that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me?? If they're trying to make it like those HK style mango pancakes, they should really let the crepes fully cool first.

The cream on top was on my partner's crepes too so that just comes with it, but his ice cream was also fully melted when it came to the table.

I really love the atmosphere and aesthetic of this place! All the train references are very cute!

The food here is delicious, I really recommend the french toast cubes!! I love open faced breakfasts and this place did not disappoint.

Very large variety of coffees and tea drinks.

Service was really pleasant and attentive. They were also polite and patient to my group when we accidentally got too loud.

I'd love to come back and try their other food items.

This is a small cafe with a cozy and welcoming vibe. We were enamored by the dog program playing on the TV.

The maple latte is incredible. Definitely will be back for their coffee again. We also enjoyed our respective smoked salmon / sausage eggs benedict. The portion was really large.

Had mixed experience at first since we called in for a table of 4. They mentioned they couldn’t hold it since it’s first come, first serve. Got there in 8 mins since the call and the wait time was supposedly 25 mins.

We ended up being seated after 10 mins and service during lunch was great. They were attentive and served food quickly.

Food was tasty, my friend had their classic breakfast and it had a great portion. Torched salmon and creamy udon was also good. They were able to remove bacon off the creamy udon. They also have milk alternatives (soy, almond, oat and lactose free milk).

The ube and rocher cold drinks were not the tastiest drinks we’ve tried, couldve had more flavour.

Overall though, it was a good experience. Atmosphere is cozy and aesthetic. Limited seating.

Love this cozy little cafe. I like the privacy that each seat has, feel very comfortable dining in alone. Food is good, drinks are unique. Highly recommend their matcha series. Most of the drinks are customizable and they have the lactose free milk option. Always love latte art. Staff are nice and friendly. Only wish there was maybe 1 more washroom. But I'll still keep coming back 😊 if you're in a rush however, I don't recommend dining in, this is a place where you can sit for a while and enjoy your food and drinks. It's a place to read something, work on something, chat with a friend.

It was full and busy on a Fri morning. Waited for a few mins and turned out they forgot our glass of water. We can place our order after almost 20 mins. And they forgot to give us a spoon for the latte.
Foods taste great. However, there are not a lot of choices. I like their torched salmon and avocado on toast. Will def go back again.

A nice little cafe/brunch spot with boardgames and puzzles. Ambiance and decor is nice. Washrooms are clean.

Food and drink was hit and miss with our order.

The hits for us was the mango and oreo waffles that were fluffy and crisp with great toppings, chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and lattes were smooth.

The miss for us was the pulled beef Benedict. It wasn't balanced, though the poached egg was perfect. Same for the smoked salmon. There was an element that it was missing.

Service was okay, we sat quickly without a reservation but servers seemed very new.

Nonetheless, a great restaurant and would come back.

First time going there today. Very good experience. Service was efficient. Warm ambiance. Lots of customers. Food comes fast and delicious. We had sausage egg benedict and turkey panini, more like a sandwich. We will definitely go there again.

Decided to try something new and wasn’t disappointed. Service was fast and we received our food quickly - we visited on a weekday around 4PM but still!

Ordered the smoked salmon eggs benny, matcha latte and chicken and waffles. Fries and house salad were unexpectedly above average and the chicken was juicy but still crispy. Latte was solid.

Highly would recommend this place - now a favorite brunch place of mine in Markham.

Been occasionally visiting Espresso 21 since it opened. The coffees and drinks are great. Good variety to make each visit a bit different. Enjoy this cozy spot for a small coffee with 1-2 friends. It’s got a cute vibe for great pics.

We went on Tuesday 1100, not crowded. The food was very tasty and the staff is friendly. Duck Benny was very impressive and the steak cooked just what I like. Will definitely come back.

Very disappointed about their service because even it says it is open till 6:30, they will no take your order any time after 6:00 pm. Also the cashier was very unpolite.

This restaurant let's you eat and play board games. A great setup as the tables are large enough and the food is decent and not overly priced.

Board games can be found at the front near the entrance.

with toasted baguette. The bread was cold and bland. The chili was ok, but a bit watered down. Wouldn't recommend.

It's not bad. The waffles were very light and fluffy with the right crunch. The chicken was decent. Not bad.

our experience at platform was nothing short of fantastic !! their drink selections are so fun and unique, their brunch menu is delicious and filling, and their service is kind and helpful !! all of our meals came out tasting lovely, and despite the place being a bit full, the food came fast. i have to recommend their sea bagel and their rose coffee (both pictured). brunch here was sooooo satisfying and enjoyable ~ i will be back soon <3 !!

If you wanna get diarrhea, feel free come to this place…. Extremely oily patty, over baked muffin and bread…bad fried potatoes, plain taste pasta, no ingredients are freshly made, probably except the salad… Told the server about this and they just replied “okay…” then said NOTHING! Finally turned out that they just changed the chief recently, great.

My group of 3 was seated at the high table quickly around noon on a Sunday. The cafe is small, and I wish the stools had backs to hang my jacket on. I ordered the $19.50 chicken and waffles, which was delicious. The 3 chicken drumsticks were large and tender with crispy skin. The waffles were on the crispier side but still soft in the inside. I like that it came with a decent salad to balance out the dish. I also had a $5.25 matcha tea latte, which was smooth and sweet. I tried the pork belly as well, which was fatty but delicious. Would return for the chicken and waffles again if it's not too busy!

A quiet place, nice environment and friendly staff. Food was decent, they cooked my eggs on the Benedict perfectly (soft poached), the chicken was a little drier than I would have liked and was not a fan of using rye bread as the base, felt like it didn't match.

The hollandaise and eggs were done great, drinks were good too. Overall I would come back here.

This is a good breakfast/brunch spot! The menu is simple and not too expensive. We ordered smoked Salmon Benny, Egg sandwich with Sausage on the side. For drinks we got Americano and Vanilla Steamer.

The service was good and we left the place with full stomach and happy heart. Will definitely come back here another time.

If you are a large group just call before coming, since the seating area is limited.

Unfriendly staff. Her face is like I was owing her a million. I was trying to place an order. She told me to line up. Excuse me? I was there the entire time and trying to get her attention and she pretends not to see me. Do your customers need to pull out the security camera to PROOF that they lined up or do I have something on my face saying I don't line up? Also, she didn't put the pastry into the bag until I paid. What is your attitude showing how unprofessional your brand is. If one day this store is closed, I am not surprised.

Very disappointed with my experience at the promenade location today.  I have a coupon for a $5.00 fruit smoothie and when I presented it, I was denied the smoothie I wanted to use it for (I also used the same coupon the week prior and had no issues so I don't know what changed in a week. There are no promotions)  No where on the coupon does it say exclusions apply, if so than I obviously would have changed my order.  I am an employee of the mall so I'm very sad to say I will take my business elsewhere.

Ordered a iced aroma light with oat milk as a treat after a hard day at work. I clarified to make sure the order was correct because I’m seriously lactose intolerant. I’ve also been working hard on cutting calories but wanted a treat that fit into my calorie count.

Its been a long time since I’ve treated myself to a sugary drink so I didn’t realize until it was too late.

3/4 of the way through the cup, I am sure something is wrong. I’m pretty sure this is a full fat milk regular aroma.

This angry review is currently being written from the toilet I’ve been sitting on for the last while. I’m in for a very uncomfortable night. It is an understatement when I say my evening is ruined.

Please take lactose intolerance orders seriously. Especially when we double check.

Just realized I also paid extra for the oat milk. A damned expensive premium. Needless to say I am upset. Do better for your future customers.

The good news: they have oat milk. Not too many places have them. The bad news: I waited over 10 minutes for my order. I also ordered a croissant which was warmed up upon order. However due to the long wait, it had cooled. I wasn't the only one with a long wait. I do feel there should be two barista making drinks to speed order fulfillments.

Unfortunately the service was not as great, when asked at the FOH to staff about the salad dressing, for the Aroma Salad —the person did not seem to know the menu well at all, and dis not seem helpful —not only did I ask if they had Lemon Olive Oil dressing, the person said that they only have two type of dressing, and said they didn’t have anything lemon?

I was confused—zatar vinegrette & maple balsamic vinegar –in which I found very strange- I asked for an Aroma Salad tossed with no olives and added Avocado- and paid extra for it and when I got to my car Im very much disappointment, paid $20 for a meal.

They didn’t even get my order right, not tossed & no avocado in sight. Mind you I ask for slices too so paid even more than I should have……I understand if you’re having a bad day and all, but I used to work for Aroma years ago, in kitchen & bar so I don’t understand what went wrong with my order, it’s very disappointing anyways, I ask someone else if they carry the lemon olive dressing and they said they did so they switched it for me.

The staff of this location is always super friendly to me and has gone above and beyond with a special order for me. Food is always fresh and delicious and I always see people I know!

Tasty drinks. Usually very busy, so sometimes long waits. Overall service and quality are good at this location.
