Really impressed by the new hot kitchen area and all of the ethnic offerings in grocery. I'm impressing by the jerk chicken and chinese food as well as the price. They also offer sampling if you are undecided! They also have a section of prepacked ready to heat meals for a very affordable price too. Highly recommend

I was there with my kids last Friday. I applaud all your workers for their work, especially during the pandemic. Thank you very much to all the hardworking Walmart employees. BTW, we always are happy to tip Walmart delivery drivers, especially during the pandemic. However, I regret to say that one of your workers at the self check out at this location last Friday treated me and my children frankly, like criminals. Your employee stood there and watched me scan every single item. All of the self-scanning machines had customers, and she specifically chose to stand and hover over us. She did not move and your employee scolded my daughter when my daughter, a little girl, was trying to lift a very heavy package of toilet paper. Instead of moving or helping, your employee just stood there like a prison guard and harshly told my daughter to move and find another way. There was no other way. Your employee was blocking the place where customers are supposed to put all their products that they already paid for. It is so sad and unfortunate that an employee of Walmart would treat a mother and her young children like criminals. We have always shopped at Walmart at various locations and online, ever since the kids were babies. Having someone hovering over us and treating us like second class citizens is frankly disgusting and disappointing. I am writing this so you can train your employees not to treat loyal customers this way, and to avoid someone else from being treated in this very sub-standard way. I hope this is not how your employees are supposed to treat customers: to target a customer and family, and make it even more difficult to scan items and go to the self check out. Next time, I am going to an actual employee who will help me and who will not hover over me and treat my children so rudely. Children are future customers. That is a fact that a lot of businesses don't realize. Thank you for listening and I hope this is not a standard employee practice at this location. Please accept this constructive criticism as a way to improve your employee's behavior and to increase your business. Thank you for reading.

Walmart customer service has gone down a lot. I was buying some collectibles from your store. One of the items had slightly damaged packaging. I asked the cash if I could get a discount being it was the last one and it was damaged packaging. I bought over $70 of items. First the person working cash was like he was in such a rush that he was tossing the collectibles as he was scanning them. And for the item that was already slightly damaged packaging he was ripping and bending it worse right in front of me while he was waiting for the csm to come. And even if they didn't want to give me the discount. At least customer service to be polite about it and don't look at me as if I'm a criminal and talk to me with attitude. She says well if you don't want to buy it at the regular price then I can take it back and then they can decide later if they're going to put it for a discount. But either you take it like that or leave it at the full price. There's better ways to say things even if you can't give the discount. And doesn't matter what the merchandise is you shouldn't be tossing it after you scan it. But especially if they are collectables. I was told by the cash that took over from the other cash as they switched cashier's during my transaction. That the CSM's name was Gloria. My family and I buy a lot from Walmart, and at least courteousness, and polite customer service should be practiced at every Walmart store. Money doesn't come easy.

Went in and found a Special cleaned out. Lots of stock on others but nothing in Special. I asked and 2 employees went back to check and found product and brought it out to me. Lucky me they could only find 2 cases ..but got my stuff.
Only 2 tills open but lots of self serve. Walmart nickel and diming so owners can cash out another $4B in stock.

I was disappointed by the behavior of the customer service.
Pathetic service. I agree it was closing time and they announced so I dragged my trolley quickly to cashier 17, there were two people still ahead of me so I thought let's grab something important indeed from the pharmacy. I left the trolley there with two people in front.
And rushed to the pharmacy.
I couldn't find it and rushed back to the cashier again and noticed there was one lady still there but not my trolley.
I asked customer service they said no clue.
I looked around and asked the cashier. then saw in customer service few items from my trolley.
I ran so got a reply it's already time,
But the lady in my front was still there.
She was there for a good 20-25 minutes after they moved my trolley and didn't even reply back.
Unapologetic stsff at cudtomrr service.

If they wouldn't remove still I had to wait for 20-25 minutes.
Not sure why it took so long for her and all this time I was regretting being there and shopping for 40 minutes all in vain.
No one was apologetic except for the cashier and the customer lady in front. And it was not their fault.

I find that this particular Walmart is so busy, staff struggle to keep the shelves stocked with essentials. All staff I have interacted with have been friendly and professional, but the organization of the store needs some help. Hopefully, with the renovations happening currently, things will improve.

I had a very pleasant experience at this Walmart pharmacy with the pharmacist Lidia. She was helpful and patient in explaining side effects of some medication I was considering. Such a great experience compared to what I just dealt with at Rexall on Adelaide St. N.

I'm at this location very often and over the years I've seen the potential they have. Unfortunately, my last few visits during their renovations I've noticed a lot of the employees, including security display poor service and overall behavior. Security here will literally scold you as you enter, as if you've done something to upset them. They are the entrances of the location and should be the most welcoming. Because of this, my friends and I agreed it's just too cringe and unsettling when having to go through. These guys definitely need to learn and take notes from the Square One Paragon security.

My main reason however for leaving this review is because of my last purchase using self checkout. I always take a paper receipt when leaving, but yesterday (03/20/24) I decided to use my phone number. Roughly an hour after I got a scam call from people pretending to be Rogers and after abruptly telling them I know their scam callers, the same number called me again 6 hours later to try again. The Square One Walmart is literally an absolute dump and should be avoided. I drove into the parking lot by the south entrance. This is when the bad experience began. Garbage was littered all over the parking lot. I found a parking spot with no garbage and stepped out of my car. I was immediately welcomed by an intense smell of urine and marijuana in the air. I walked into the store, and it felt like I entered a grocery store in a 3rd world country. The store was a mess, and products on the shelves had been rummaged through. I witnessed a drug deal in one of the aisles between a security guard and some guy. The store itself was in need of a major cleaning. Definitely don't bring your family here shopping.

Today my girlfriend and I had stopped to grab a few things. We had used the same self check out register, but had paid separately for our items.
After PAYING, we stopped at the minute cut keys just past the self check out registers.
While cutting our keys an employee had come up saying my girlfriend needed to pay, to which she pulled out her receipt. The employee went back into the self check out registers area and stood talking with multiple other employees who are all standing together and pointing at us. They then flag another worker down and asked them to come re check our receipt.

So in the end we were wrongly accused of not paying. Were being pointed at and talked about by employees.
And had multiple people check our receipts.
Not a single time was there an apology for wrongly accusing.
It’s not just the checking of our receipts that upsets me, I understand there’s theft and having an employee stand at the door and check before leaving is totally acceptable. But that is not what happened today. We had two employees come up to us and accuse only us of theft while standing and pointing at us. We didn’t have bags it was so little product that we were holding it while waiting for our keys to print.
As a manager at my work I knew how wrong it was what had just happened and I wanted to speak with a manager on the spot. However my girlfriend was embarrassed that they essentially publicly accused us of stealing and were talking about it in-front of other customers.
How today was handled was so Incredibly Wrong. You shouldn’t be making your customers feel ashamed/embarrassed for something they didn’t do. And there absolutely should be accountability of the workers when wrong, the fact they couldn’t even look at us and apologize is very pathetic and shows a lack of leadership.

The managers should be ashamed of how their lack of training on their employees has caused these issues.
If one of the multiple employees was paying attention they would’ve seen us pay, we were actually the first till right beside the employee who lets you know what till to go to.
Truly upsetting and won’t be returning to this Walmart.
The reason I’m writing a review is your department is closed and I can’t call and speak with someone. But today as a paying guest was truly appalling.

Impossible to get a cell phone at this location. There is never anyone there or they are always on lunch. Been here 3 times to get a cellphone and no one around. Person behind the counter can't even access them. Go to greenbacks you will be in and out within 10 minutes with a new phone

I’ve lived in Trenton for several years, and while this Walmart location has always been the “backup plan” for groceries and cosmetics, today was likely the last time I’ll set foot in the building.

Management needs to either grow a backbone against corporate, or develop compassion towards associates, or some mix of the two. Every single worker I passed to during my visit was visibly frustrated or upset. I’m talking tears in their eyes, shaking their heads, or a complete and near-horrified despondence.

However it is these workers are being treated, whether by customers or management, it’s evident to anyone with empathy that it’s abysmal.

Too few staff, with too little training (some of the situations inferred by emphatic overhead PA calls would’ve been comical if not so tragic), working for too small pay.

That doesn’t even touch on the fact that every single regularly-stocked item I was looking for today was out of stock. All of them, across several departments. Kitty litter, hand soap, wiper fluid, coffee cream. This entire store is broken and needs to either be turned around or shuttered.

Walmart is clearly exploiting the people. The penalty given by the Canadian government to Walmart this year is very good and it should be inspected again. I have been shopping there for a year and a half. If you look at the amount of the products I bought in my last shopping, you will see how we are being exploited. I bought 2 cameras for my car, they broke down after 4 days. When I took it to them, they made up some excuse and did not accept it. My 180 dollars was garbage. You should never shop here.

Purchased a Phillips 32” Smart TV Thursday pm. Cannot remember the gentleman’s name that assisted - can’t find my receipt. Regardless he was kind, patient and very knowledgeable.

There is never anyone around upstairs in the electronic / kids toy section. And when u need them to unlock the trading cards nobody shows up.

I was at the uptown Walmart at around 5/5:05pm in the cosmetics section looking to buy a toothbrush. I went up to an employee (in a Walmart vest) that was talking to a group of her friends, and another employee. And politely asked to access the cabinet.

The female employee rolled her eyes and the other employee/friends commented “haha black monkey” followed by some other words. Which the female employee chuckled and guided me on to unlock the case.

As an African American I truly believe these comments/slurs should never be used. Please address this and make sure your employees are aware of what they are saying.

Such a toxic place. They just installed a man trap at the front entrance. Forgot to grab a cart? You either have to walk around, or force the gate which will set off an alarm.

BUT THIS SHOULD BE DISCOURAGED! SHOPPER PLACING THEIR PET INSIDE A CART THAT'S USED FOR GROCERIES. THIS IS A FOOD CART NOT A DOG BASKET. Think about persons with allergies, persons who would place vegetables in there...this could cause lots of health challenges for the next user of this cart.

The lack of "customer service" is appalling, especially since they rake in millions from the people who can't afford to shop anywhere else. The few available open checkouts including the self-serve ones, creates long line-ups and the poor seniors who have to stand in these line-ups are exhausted by the time they get their few purchases paid. If the self-serve checkouts are not in service, then more people should be trained to work the regular checkouts. I go to Walmart nearly every day and I see more and more workers chatting with one another and less and less help for those of us shopping. This is so frustrating and downright disgusting!!

If there is an option for zero stars I would definitely do that.. there is reason behind online grocery that if you are busy then order online and quickly go pick up at the pick-up time. But I literally have to wait for more than an hour or hour an half even after doing check in online… just to pick up my order… store never answer calls.. I mean I don’t see any point for them to provide contact numbers if you don’t want to answer ever or option for online grocery if the service is that bad.. disappointing

This pertains only to the photo section at the Charlottetown Walmart.

Trying to get a head of the Christmas rush my wife and I placed a few orders for photo prints, 1 poster, magnets and 2 ornaments.

I just had my 4th trip in to get these picked up and still need to return in hopes of getting the poster.

Each trip has exceeded over 30-45 minutes waiting for the employees to search for the completed prints. It is very apparent that training or common sense is taking a toll on this department.

From my experience of about 2-3 hours waiting in the past 4 days you can tell they do not know what they are doing. A simple task of asking the customer their last name and then searching in the drawers and folders is too difficult for them.

My experience yesterday, I was 8th in line and everyone ahead of me was picking up photos. The girl working you could tell had no idea what she was doing and it was a conversation amoungst us in line. Out of the 8 people ahead of me she told 6 of them that their photos were missing or not printed correctly. I cannot prove she was incorrect but with how confused she was it was very apparent she was just telling customers this so she did not have to deal with the issue.

The first 2 times I was in also was a long wait in line and then getting the service representative to only be told an excused as to why my prints were not done, even though we received the pickup notice via email.

In short, as a company/employer you need to do better for your customer and staff alike, as it is not fair to either.

Lastly, it should be a minimal requirment that when hiring staff, they can at least breathe and blink at the same time, from what I have seen in these past 4 visits, that is a task that they cannot do.

Walmart have always been the place I go to for grocery shopping. Today I was exchanging 2 cans of kidney beans because I bought the wrong ones. The Indian lady who was on the customer service tried to make me feel guilty for exchanging the cans saying that these will be thrown in the garbage !!... It is crucial to note that according to Canadian law, when a pricing error involves a product exceeding $10, the merchant is obligated to sell the item at the advertised price and provide the consumer with a $10 discount. I live near by so this had been our go to grocery spot. Loved getting everything in one place.
Well after the last few months of experiences I will never go back.
I always knew Walmart kid of sucked. From the big corporate greed we just live with now to the strange policy’s.
my husband and myself have had a few experiences with other customers that have left us uneasy but of course that’s not the stores fault.
What is the stores fault is their dis regard kindness, politeness and just not doing their jobs. We have had employees refuse to take things down from higher shelves, seen a man who had money kicked out because he looked homeless and to might steal something and have had managers not care about properly training staff.
There is way too much to write in a review. My husband and I have both talked to management on multiple occasions and they just don’t seem to care.
The best part of all is policy from corporate like making you pay for make-up in that section, or a million cameras all over the store in the last few years. Adding in the gates at front of the doors and now adding needing a coin to get a cart in some locations.
Don’t waste your time here. I know I rather pay the same price and go to multiple places. I know I rather drive an hour in traffic somewhere else then deal with the rude disrespectful staff here.

Worse place worst owner! He borrowed money from my husband because he couldn’t pay his mortgage and when we asked for it he been saying come this day, that day and time passed by and finally its my husband’s mortgage time and he has no work as he is injured, this owner has no sympathy and made us calling him back and forth and finally he said he sent the money by email transfer and we were waiting for it and no email transfer at all…. He also said he will send us screen shot of it and never did. What a cheat basted! I don't know why he even running the business if he has to borrow money from customers…just close the store and stay home! No honesty at all and full of lies!!!

My shopping experience was completely ruined by LP following me around everywhere, I will never shop here ever again for being accused of shoplifting and needing to be followed around like I am a flipping child. Me and my brother went Walmart today and We recently had a concerning experience at Walmart that compels me to share my feedback. Upon purchasing a product, I discovered it was expired. When I approached the manager for assistance, the response was disheartening. The manager admitted unreliability but trying to blame vendor for the presence of expired items on the shelves.

I must say Krista in electronics is utterly amazing. She treated me with respect and got me all set up with my phone from start to finish. I've had a rough time lately and she really made everything so easy. She was so courteous even though she was swamped. Thanks to her I walked out without the stress I walked in with. Very spacious and with a lot if variety of goods.. However bit difficult to find the stuff.. Been walking around asking from the staff to find a certain item but no one knew and couldn't find it..

I am puzzled by the consistent shortages of essential groceries at Walmart, particularly items like paneer and Sher Aaata. Unfortunately, this time, I had a particularly unpleasant experience with the groceries I purchased. Specifically, I bought Brar's Paneer and discovered foreign material within the product. To make matters worse, there were no alternative options for paneer available. Regrettably, my dissatisfaction with this purchase means that I no longer wish for a refund or a replacement item. I would prefer to simply accept the loss of the $5 or $6 I spent.

I am disappointed with the overall quality of service and the product, and I appreciate the less-than-satisfactory experience.

I have just been racially profiled at this Walmart. The common insulting habit of store associates asking Black customers to see receipts of items in their personal shopping bags. I had just come from Canadian Tire with a toilet seat, in a visibly non-Walmart shopping bag. Shopped using the cart placing Walmart items besides my bag, removed items to be cashed out, paid for them. As I was packing Walmart items into my shopping bag the associates asks to see the receipt of the toilet seat. It doesn’t matter whether you carry the same item as the one in my bag, you have no right to think I am carrying it from your store without paying for it just because I’m black. What a demeaning way to treat Black customers, especially because this Walmart is in Etobicoke where there are a lot of newcomers, immigrants who can easily be harassed by such associates. Walmart, train your employees on micro-agressions, subconscious bias because these are all acts of racism. Do better.

Always like going to Walmart to find really good deals, especially in the clearance section. Found some beautiful yellow mum flowers in the garden centre and decided picking up a pot. Have to be mindful of which flowers you're picking though as some of them aren't always the best ones. So make sure when you're picking up a pot of flowers that you check the soil moisture and if it's got high moisture content then you know you've got a good flower.

"You can't take pictures in here, sir." Thats the first thing I hear walking in. Doesn't that make every person uploading a review with photos a criminal? While I understand Walmart has a corporate policy about this, context is important for these sort of situations.

I don't believe I saw a single friendly face within that Walmart. Combine that with several empty shelves and several pallets of goods blocking walkways and I start to think if this should really be my regular place to visit for groceries.

However, parking was an easy in and out for the parking garage and there was a decent sized section for international amd ethnic foods, so I know that they got something right.

Super big super market. They sell everything, with reasonanle price. It’s very convinience and have variety of food.

My favorite location of this chain. Has lots of staff members present and there is usually ample parking on the weekends. On today's visit there were a lot of empty shelves. There seems to be a bit of a supply chain issue in the area lately, and this location of Walmart seems to be rather heavily affected.

This store gets 1 star because of how they have done so little to prevent the neighborhood from being covered in their shopping carts. It really is ridiculous and so ugly. Yes, I have shopped here. I actually used to work in White Oaks Mall so I have a lot of experience with this location. The staff is an angry, unhelpful bunch and the store is a mess. But I expect that from a place like Walmart. I don't expect them to allow the neighborhood, surrounding them, to be trashed.

THE toy store! From baby to ‘big kids’ (like me), they have such a huge selection of the best toys and educational activities. I’ve made purchases here for my baby, toddler, and older nephews. I find they have the perfect mix of anything you can think of, from the latest and hottest toys on the market, to really cool and unique ones I haven’t heard of (and usually end up buying) and the nostalgic toys of my childhood (e.g., Lite Brite). Shawn, the owner is so welcoming, wonderful, and has great recommendations! Instead of clicking around on Amazon or visiting a big box store, I always try here first because it’s such an inspiring environment and I’ll often discover an even better toy option than what I was originally looking for. Also, there’s a variety of price points whether you’re looking for a Pikler climber, craft book, or magical wand. I could spend tons of time here on my own but I recently took my toddler and we had so much fun! Grateful we have this beautiful and amazing store downtown!

I visited this Walmart a few years ago prior to the pandemic. I wasn't able to see the whole thing but this was an awesome Walmart. You can hang out here and take pictures if you want. It even has an escalator inside! You gotta see this Walmart if you're visiting.

Why should fruit be expensive so that people cannot buy it and it spoils in the store?

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help with gift suggestions. They have a great rotating selection of popular toys for a wide range of ages. Their gift wrapping service is an added bonus touch. We're fortunate to have such a great local toy store and it is a family favourite!

I've been shopping here for years and the customer service and selection has always been good and they are a unique toy store. And not just for kids either! We collect Schleich figurines and they are such nice, good quality figurines and always buy them there and nowhere else.There's games and toys of all sorts there and stuff you cannot find elsewhere. You won't find a better, more unique toy store in Northern Ontario, than these folks! The real "learning" toys and games, are here (as well as standard toys/games, big box stores sell). Support local and if anyone deserves it, these folks do. Always a pleasure doing business with them.

So why operate the store to have customers shop when your just going to block aisles with skids and product. Pretty sure it’s a fire hazard, not only that boxes higher up and wrapped for safety so if you bump it they could possibly fall. Not a good idea for evening shoppers the store still has two hours before it closes

Grossest walmart in my experience. They duct taped milk and put it back in the fridge. I bought it not knowing then it leaked all over my car,myself and my groceries. Everything soaked including my receipt.

This is by far the best toy store in North Bay. Any time I've gone in to buy anything from gifts for family to personal projects, the staff have been super helpful and very friendly.

Everything in the store is easy to find and fairly priced. The wide variety of selection is great, especially for someone like myself, who likes to explore many options.

This is a fantastic local business that deserves more attention from our community. Shop local, and support local businesses like this one.

Store itself has good variety of playmobil toys and lots of learning toys too. Also they organize birthday parties. We had one and it was exceptional! Highly recommended for the group of kids activity or birthday party. She was amazing with kids and keep them smile the whole time. Thanks again

Creative Learning was my favourite toy store as a child and now it is my favourite toy store to shop for my daughter! The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable when shopping for age appropriate gifts and toys. They have a great assortment of items that the children in your life will be sure to love.

Many varieties of groceries.
Including Asian, Indian, and many more.
Warm welcoming people and appreciable customer service.

Problems i found are, many items get out of stock and they don't care about it. Since we are living beside this Walmart, its our primary shopping centre. Still, we need to go to other stores often due to this product unavailability.

They carry fresh meat and groceries. Never see any expired stuffs.

I arrived in the early morning at this Walmart location. It’s always great to do the shopping at the first hour of opening because the shelves are always full. There are no empty shelves and the floor is well polished. Walmart is always a top notch retailer in the world and I always have high regards to its management. Highly recommended.

I just left and spent over $300
I had an issue with something very small.
Chips are clearly advertised for 3 for $9
Sayyad at the customer assistance counter is not only the rudest employee but the most incompetent.
He tells me the system wont allow him to do a refund, lol.
Really?!?!
So you over charge me and then make me wait for 25 minutes and then refuse to give me money back for a sale that is clearly advertised.

This man was not only rude, wasted my time and then lied to my face.....

Amazing toy store! HUGE selection of quality toys, books, games and more (the kind that last). The staff are exceptionally knowledgable and always have a smile. I have been a customer for years and my kids love exploring the store. We have attended birthday parties on their lower level and events that they hold which are always a blast. I love that I can either shop online or walk in and browse, they offer things like loot bag creation for your parties and free gift wrapping for your purchases and I recently bought a foam machine and they provided complimentary D batteries for it. HIGHLY recommend them.

Have been shopping from Walmart since the day I landed in Canada. It is just the complete store for everything you need.They have never disappointed in pricing though occasionally they have some very rude staff.Most staffs are helpful. The offers are really good every week . If they had a points card, I would have had a million points or more in it by now. The extra protection warranty on their appliances are really good as the exchange or returns are made really easy and convenient. Even during this inflation, they have managed to follow a decent pricing. They are always at a convenient location and always have ample parking space. The new software update on the kiosk is confusing and reacts too fast making lot of difficulties at checkout. Maybe it will take time to get used to it.

Incredible customer service! I called to place an order for pick up since I live out of town. A family member was going to pick up the gifts up for my niece and nephew and wrap them for me. They kindly offered to not only wrap my gifts for me, but put a tag "from Auntie Sarah" on.

South and South East Asian cooking essentials like curry leaves and pandan at very fair prices, along with a slew of other grocery, pantry, and sundry staples makes this tiny Sri Lankan grocery store an easy recommend 👍🏽👍🏽
