I recently made an online purchase from them and they not only shipped my items and processed them fast.... but they packaged the items in a nice little box so that they weren't hurt during shipping and also included a handwritten note along with my order.

Best place for all your high quality supplements and prime cuts of meat and tallow, etc. Adaptogenic mushrooms etc etc. they have everything. Staff are also very knowledgeable about every single product that they carry, which is super rare and impressive. They even have some select clothing and skin care stuff that somehow fits in with all the niche health food stock. I got here once a month to stock up on the health essentials. ;)
I frequently recommend that patients and friends check this place out. They offer a well curated collection of health oriented products that are often difficult to find elsewhere, and I always find the staff helpful and friendly. I also especially appreciate how generous they are with their free samples. :)

Health Essentials is the number one health and wellness supplement and food store in Victoria BC. The owners and their knowledgeable, friendly staff are always helpful and welcoming.
My favourite store for local grocery items!! My husband and I love to cook and the 100 mile store always delivers on good selection, freshness and quality! I love good customer service and I never have a bad experience, in fact, I always leave the store laughing with a big smile on my face. 10/10
It’s time to add more cashiers, it is obvious that people don’t want to use the self checkout. When you shop in an expensive store like WF you expect at least to have an exceptional service not to be directed to self checkout.

Awesome place. Super helpful, patient, knowledgeable. And when I bought the wrong size shoes, exchange was completely hassle free. Also the best place in Victoria to try on barefoot style shoes as they have a great variety. I recommend this place to everyone.
I’m an everyday long time shopper. The staff is always super helpful and always nice. Unfortunately yesterday I got food poisoning from the hot bar. This would be the third time in the last 3 months from the same hot bar and location. There needs to be better management for that particular station so someone else doesn’t get sick or worse. I’ll be back, I just won’t be eating from that hot bar.
Obviously, the prices are too high. Let's not kid ourselves here. The markup is large. Some product sections are just rich people fads or candles.
However, the products are fresh. The staff is fantastic. If you need nice food to serve guests and you have the coin to spend, this is a great spot. I have seen Jean the cashier for many yrs & will even wait in long lineups to be served by her. Her kindness & professionalism is unmatched.
Hazel is also a cashier who took the time & had the patience recently to help me cashout all of my old gift certificates with small balances on them. I can’t say enough about how kind & courteous she is.
There are many more employees like this but lastly I will mention Jezreel who I basically see as my friend now as he has been so hospitable to me every time I enter the store a friendly greeting & just that simple acknowledgment he always gives to the customers really goes a long way!

My favourite shop for all things health and wellness. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are always available with a willingness to find what you need or bring in, if possible. Health Essentials is also the best place to find gifts for all occasions, I love putting together Christmas care packages for family here each year.
Whole Foods Market is a great place to shop for healthy, natural organic foods & products here in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
This is my favorite food store in Vancouver. They have all the items I can't get anywhere else. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. Great location.
So disappointing. I walked into the store today where I have been shopping at for years, and saw that more than half of the checkout stands had been removed. The update from the cashier who rang up my groceries was that it has been decided that self check-out kiosk will replace the cashier's at this quaint neighbourhood grocery store. What an enormous loss for those of us who shop this Whole Foods, in the West End. This is definitely not the demographic that will benefit in anyway from this change. I for one shop here and pay higher prices, because of the excellent customer service, small neighbourhood feel, and the tradition of having an actual person that rings through my groceries and actually bags them. Definitely not the right decision for this location and clientele.
First time at The Source Bulk Foods last night and received excellent service from Ryan. Friendly and welcoming salesperson who let us browse while also popping in to give us some directions around the store. Very clean and organized space. Huge variety of items from snacks to baking needs to laundry detergent. Better price for nutmeg than No Frills. Will be shopping here again soon!
Love, love, love this place. Been a customer here for over 30 years. They carry some of the best organic meats and produce. Their selection of grains, spices and snacks are commendable. Never disappointed.
Purchased a defective garment and tried to return it the following day. Apparently they don't stand with their customers, I now have to deal with the company on my own time

Great local store if you're out of ethnic ingredients; they have a decent variety.
Love the shop and all the healthy selection. Have no idea how they stay in business but I hope their here long into the future. Coffee and muffin is still a great deal.
The variety in this store was beautiful! I never went before until I needed truffle oil and I was in the area. I will go again! The only sad thing is the grocery prices but that's everywhere! Wheelchair accessible, friendly for all families and well layed out in my opinion

By all standards, this is the best place to shop for quality and variety. They are highly organized and customer service oriented.
Great WF with a reliable hot food bar, good sushi selection, and all the normal WF staples including the allegro coffee bar. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, parking is ample, and it’s pretty easy to navigate the store.
There are ways to make this work on a budget too, especially if you shop the sales! Comparable prices and/or comparable products to other chain grocery stores

I love Whole foods. I know it's expensive store but sometimes you know you need different items. Just browsing is okay. But they are carrying rare items too. It's amazing store.
The front end staff were pleasant. But I literally had to walk around the store 3 times, obviously looking for something with my empty basket. I was not greeted, let alone offered any assistance. Plus, they didn't carry the one product I went there for.
Famous Foods is THE BEST FOOD STORE EVER. Organic bulk everything, foods from Europe and South America, grass-fed meats, 20 different kinds of honey...It is a treasure trove. I could easily spend half my day and all my money there.
This used to be our go-to store, but since Jimmy Pattison bought it, the price gouging has become offensive. An ordinary bag of granulated sugar for $8.99 (on sale for Thanksgiving!) - I bought the exact same product at Safeway for $3.79 (full price, same size). In a time of high inflation and massive wealth disparity, please don't pretend to be a 'community market'. I'll be avoiding this store at all costs.
Check expiry date on things, they don’t care and they will sell you anything at any condition and will even challenge you it’s fine. Special attention orange juice

Great place to get apples. Try their home made apple turnovers they are excellent.
I went to buy hot bar food and ended up picking a few other items today. When paying for my items I asked the cashier if I could buy a gift card. He said, "Yes, but I'm going to help the next person in line so that he doesn't have to wait." What? I asked why I was supposed to wait as he wasn't finished serving me. I decided to not bother and will get a gift for my friend to shop somewhere else.

You know there is an issue when Whole Foods is cheaper...Famous Foods has been our go to grocery store for our bi-weekly shopping. Over the last three months, the prices have getting higher so we started to track them. In fact, things like cottage cheese have gone up $1 in less than a month. We just went to Whole Foods to compare prices and the same brand butter, milk and other staples were at least $2 cheaper per item. As a neighborhood grocery store in a community which is not know for its wealth, $12 for butter and $9 for milk is outrageous. Increasing prices that quickly is uncalled for and a real scam. We won't be going back again.

Great selection and service but, I wish the hours were better… because I work during the day, I can’t get there during the week and they’re closed on weekends
I just had the worst experience in the supplement department. The staff was shockingly rude. They were out of stock on a product, and I brought the tag to the service desk to ask if I could order it. Instead of accommodating me, the woman snapped at me for bringing her the tag. I said I’m bringing it to you to show you what I’m looking for. I thought it would make it easier for you to scan it. I will put it back. I know exactly where I got it from. She snapped at me to do that now! Then she tried to take it out of my hand to say that she would do it. As I was sticking it back on the shelf! Never again. I’d rather shop where I am treated with courtesy and kindness.
Bought a turkey artisan bread sandwich from the deli it was overpriced (10.99) and poorly wrapped and was so soggy the bread was falling apart. Tasted terrible too. Not impressed.
Bad experience here. Organic veggies are full of bugs. Bough a pack of oysters and it said packed on the same day. After removing the wrap, the print on the box said the process day was 9 days ago. This store sticked their label to cover the process date on the box. And of course the oysters had a stink smell. Now I'm sick because of the food. Avoid this place!
Love the atmosphere of this store, well lit, cool, simple, spacious and super clean. Makes shopping a delight.

It's a huge store where you can find a lot of things. I especially liked the plant based burgers and other veggies.
BE VERY CAREFUL! The seeds sold in bulk are contaminated with mosquitos and its larva. I was there today warning of this from a purchase made last week, and the cashier was more interested in me showing the receipt to prove I got it there, than in the very food contamination you can easily see in the containers at the end of the store, full of flying mosquitos inside. It’s a shame, I’m not not coming back.
The hot food bar and salad bar are not what they're used to be. This is how the food bar look like 6 hours before it closing. In general, it hasn't been the best experience at the food bar since COVID. Cashiers are wonderful ,meat departments and produce is amazing. But ay the dry good shelves, You can find expired items all the time.
As someone who juices regularly I have to drive here from Richmond to get good quality organic produce. It’s incredible to me that I cannot rely on the local Richmond grocery stores (including Superstore) to reliably carry organic produce. And contrary to what many people believe about whole foods, their organic produce always costs me LESS than when I am able to find it in Richmond!!

So much fresh organic produce for very good prices comparable to anywhere else in Victoria. The reason one star is missing is because they sell animal products which is upsetting to see as animal products come from animal cruelty. I enjoy seeing their vegan products and am happy to see other vegans (animal lovers) shopping there. The employees are extremely kind, helpful, respectful and intelligent. This is my favourite grocery store in Victoria mainly because of the employees, I hope they are payed well because they deserve it with their wonderful service and welcoming energies.
Love this store. We don't have one In Campbell River so I was in love. I'm now obsessed with the good soap bar the minty one to be exact. I wish I could get it here. And great selection of spring waters and beautiful produce.

One of my very favorite places. Great selection of produce and shelf-stable health foods, and a supplement department full of knowledgeable staff. The store is clean, cheery, and well-organized, and there's always something beautiful to look at in the nook the base of the ramp.

The Supplement Managers expertise in nutrition and health is exceptional, and he’s always willing to offer guidance and recommendations. I’ve been shopping at this store for years. Very clean and spacious bulk food store with a variety of bulk foods to purchase in containers. You can bring your own containers to be weighed or use the paper bags provided. I finally found powdered laundry detergent that I wasn’t able to find anywhere else. Good concept and a great location within Kitsilano.

Came again this week for the pizza, Angela or Angelic was very helpful and informative about the pizza selections. Awesome customer service. We have been coming to Square One location since it opened. Friendly staff and always helpful. They carry many products,fruits, vegetables not found at other groceries. Their pizza is delicious.
The store is nice but the employees are not always. The cashier once threw a bag of cilantro at me and I had to catch it above my head. They are rude when the card tap doesn't work th first time, and the loss prevention workers are always glaring, following, and getting in your personal space. I spend hundreds of dollars per week at this store but still get followed aggressively by the loss prevention workers. It's an uncomfortable experience and I'm looking for an alternative option for my grocery shopping now.

I live near this place, so I've been coming here for the pre cooked to go and grocery for over ten years. The store is small, but most of daily necessities an be found here, and the weekly sale items always offer very good prices. There are many employees who will greet you proactively and offer help. However, there are two female employees in the coffee bar department who have been working there for a very long time. Whenever I see them, even though they are wearing masks, I feel like they are not looking at me and do not want to greet me. They seem very indifferent, which is really bad when I come to drink coffee early in the morning. I always say thank you politely, but they still don't respond much. Overall, most of the employees are enthusiastic, and the products are fresh and reasonably priced. I will still come here to consume frequently.
This place is awesome, you can buy what you need without having to buy packaging just bring a baggie or container of your choice, very little waste. Everything is really fresh with a great selection. the place is spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful. One more thing their prices are comparable to any out there and you get what you need and no more or less.

Hopefully, they will correct the pricing on this product which is 4x more than Whole Foods.

Organic and natural food stores . Has parking lot and bus stop on same block . Its kinda pricey but not as expensive as some other health food stores. They are currently hiring. They got a points system . And a verity of things to choose from. It was very quiet and no line up at moment while here .
Just two words: apple pie. Or four: apple-rhubarbe-raspberries pie. They sell the most delicious tarte ever.
I trust shopping for my quality health and wholesome grocery produce at Lifestyle’s Market for so many reasons! Words can't describe the ambiance of a distinguished Market for wellbeing. Always knowledgeable & always helpful staff will advise on products and direct me kindly to what I am seeking. This day I specifically came to shop for organic vegetables and Bulk Nuts, wow was I pleased with the selection!

Grocery management is horrendously abusive towards staff and clientele. Owners could care less about staff, or customers. Rampant workplace abuse, worker exploitation, many cases of ageism, and ableism. Would not recommend supporting this business as it is run by shallow money hungry people, who enable and act in very harmful ways to the community as a whole. The staff turn-over rate is very high, for a reason. There are few management with honest and good morale there, I feel very sad for the individuals who stay there because of the hefty discounts they offer if employed there. It does not justify staying in such a mentally, and emotionally abusive work environment. I have seen management publicly humiliate/abuse disabled workers, yelling and throwing items at them for asking a simple question, and dismissing/belittling disabled and elderly customers. Management constantly projects anger onto staff. Surprised this place hasn't been chastised by now, I know the staff fear speaking out/don't due to fear of it being misaddressed, as in the past these issues were swept under the rug. They ended up unionizing, because of the workplace abuse, little to nothing has been done.
Awesome selections of budget friendly organic meats and spices. We have been coming here for over 10yrs and always stock up on meats.

Aside from the lack of parking, this grocery store is one of best anywhere. Far better variety than Safeway or any other small local market. Just astounding what you can find there--on par with Famous Foods. They deserve your business. Let's make sure they stay in business.

This natural foods grocery store is located in Kitsilano with very fresh produce and quality bulk food items..there is some limited parking off the alley behind the store..very friendly staff..
Choices Markets is our local Kitsilano grocery store where we always find local, organic and many specialty prepared food products..entering from their available parking lot, the staff meet you with warmth and are easily available for directions to a food product aisle or to respond with a detailed explanation regarding a food item you may have a question about..
Just had a great experience! Kindly and friendly salespersons found everything I was looking for. Not only that but they had something I had been looking for for quite some time. Thank you for carrying Amy’s Chili again. Appreciate the earlier opening hours as well. The staff here are the best!
Very cool moment in family and friends.
Small and cosy but very effective. Good selection of everything you expect in a grocery store including coffee, tea and pastries and even cakes. Worth mentioning is also the organic fruits and vegetables section. The overall appearance of the store has nicely improved over the last ten years. Really like to sit on the patio and to shop there. Parking is free.

As for apples, it feels like it's mostly McIntosh. The trees aren't well indicated either so unless you can recognize apples by look, it can be tricky.
As for apples, it feels like it's mostly McIntosh. The trees aren't well indicated either so unless you can recognize apples by look, it can be tricky.
This is a food chain from Australia. Excellent choices of dry foods. They do have some local dried fruit and honey from lower mainland area. BYOB (bottles, bags) for zero waste shopping.
Such a wonderful clean store - large selection of fresh fruit. We stopped in on our way to bike the sea wall, and grabbed some fruit and coconut water to take with to lunch. The cashier I spoke to was so nice, we had a wonderful conversation. Sometimes it’s the little things that make your day, and that was one of them. Fresh mango at the sea wall, a perfect lunch.
Fairly nice place, as a whole foods you'd expect about as much. Wide selection of options both fresh and not. The deli had some choice fresh sandwiches too. The staff was approachable and all in all a good experience. A little pricey but it's also core downtown.
Great selection, very clean, lots of vegan items. You can park underground or outside. Cashiers are really nice. There is a bathroom you can use as well. Pretty large store. They carry Very Good Butchers items, vegan salmon, vegan croissants, vegan cheeses, and a bunch of other things. Pretty well stocked.
Very nice store, great options for bulk food and general groceries. When is come to fresh fish and meats I wasn’t much impressed by they display. Done good bread and crackers, cheese selection was good abs veggies also. Some items are a good price and many a bit $$$ so you really need to look well. Overrule like the place and will come back just because the options on bulk products
If you are looking for ethnic foods, this is a very good option in the heart of Kitsilano. Other offerings include fresh produce, a frozen foods section & bulk items (grains, nuts, etc.). They also have a prepared foods section with some vietnamese dishes like banh-mi, phô, and spring rolls. Social distancing is allowing in-store shopping, sanitizing lotion is also offered. Feel safe and shop comfortably...
We missed the last day of picking apples, but it was still very pleasant just had a walk in the nature. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place.
Attractive layout, welcoming atmosphere. Vintage items plus new decorative and functional pieces. Good browsing place to find something you love that you didn't know you needed.

Lovely little farm, tasty apples and such for sale, goats and chickens around, a play area and cute little seats to sit and eat apples. Great :)
Our go to place for local vegan and plant based products. Lots of local selections as well. They order in certain items if you want also. The hours are a bit challenging to make it sometimes as I believe the website hours and store hours are different. Overall a great experience even for locals.
Great little store. It's a bit small and can be very crowded at times but they've got an excellent little seating area for coffee or even a meal. Great bakery and lots of options for hot, ready to go meals. This place has free parking, which is a big win in the city.
My gf and I pretty much eat the burritos from here 4 times a week. We love it so much!! The staff are super nice and very friendly. The only thing is that the size of the burritos are sometimes big some times small.
This is exactly the sort of store you should visit. Incredible variety of unique, healthy, yummy, organic, local ingredients. I had a butter tart and my god, was it delicious! The lady working there was so sweet and personable. Very enjoyable experience!
Amazing pleace to go apple picking ! Their apple are delicious are the landscape is beautiful. They also have animal such as pig and roe, so that's nice for family with children.
