Decent bridge. Not haunted, lol.
Visiting the suspension bridge in Edmonton's River Valley is a must for both locals and tourists. Constructed in 2010, this picturesque bridge connects several scenic trails ideal for walking and cycling. I recommend visiting early in the morning to enjoy the cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, enhancing the peaceful ambiance.

The trails are well-maintained and pet-friendly, with nearby off-leash areas where dogs can roam freely. For those seeking a physical challenge, the nearby Wolf Willow Stairs offer a rewarding climb with fantastic views of the North Saskatchewan River.

Parking can be limited, so an early start is advisable. Note that there are no public washrooms available, so plan accordingly. While swimming is not recommended due to strong currents, boating is a popular activity—just ensure to follow safety guidelines and wear a life jacket.

Whether you are up for a tranquil walk, a bike ride, or a vigorous stair climb, this bridge and its surrounding areas are perfect for an escape into nature any time of the year. Remember to respect the natural environment to keep it pristine for future visitors.

A serene gem in the city, this spot promises beautiful views and a variety of activities!

Hanging but solid bridge, no movement.
Love this romantic place!
This East York concrete bridge is one of the historic in Toronto. This bridge at the intersection of Woodbine Ave and O'Connor drive was built in 1930 and 1931 over the tiny Tayler Massey Creek. This bridge has pedestrian sidewalks on both sides along with a bike lane. The view underneth with woody green is mind-blowing. This bridge is one of the pathways to downtown core from the east part of the city.
Nice view and real nature in the center of megapolice. Super!

Very nice trails great escape from the city without leaving the city
Noisy, polluted and dangerous for cyclists. But it has nice views if you care to walk across it...
Beautiful view year round. Beautiful walk between the two foot bridge. There is dog park too short distance from this bridge. Me and my family go for a long walk making a big lop which covers both bridges. Near both bridges there are picnic spots at the bank of river. Every season has its own beauty in this area. Swimming is not recommended in this river but lots of people do boating in this area
A very good exclusive foot bridge! Has good walking trails to join both ends. Bridge is built on River North Saskatchewan. Worth try walking.

I absolutely love the Fort Edmonton Footbridge. It's really pesceful around there, there's a great view of the river, and you just feel surrounded by nature (except for seeing some house sin the background). There's lots of trails as well that connect to other parts of the river, and you can get really close to the river too.
I really enjoy sitting in the rocks next to the river while listening to the sounds of the water move and the sounds of nature. It's really calming and relaxing. I even saw a beaver before in the river!
Beautiful place!
The ride is fast, but it is intended to aid the climb.
The train is very clean and smooth.
First funicular experience. Wild to imagine how people would've gotten themselves let alone their belongings up such an incline, during such a time of minimal technological advancement compared to what we see today. Enjoy the ride!! Don't be afraid of the stairs tho ;)
Beautiful scenery and bridge! Really peaceful to walk by in the mornings. I just tried exploring the area even if it was on the opposite end from my home.

Fantastic
What a beautiful spot in the city to visit if you are close to downtown. 100% worth the trip if you aren't.
Great bridge and great architecture. There's just a lot of garbage everywhere which is why I only gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating
The Funicular has been on my wish list for many years. The only drawback is that there is no parking available nearby, that can give you easy access to this place. Finally I was able to park my car on a road opposite the Funicular, but I was extremely unlucky to get a parking ticket , although there was no parking machine near it. The Funicular is totally free but the parking ticket was $50/- on a weekend evening .This was the only disappointing aspect of my visit. The Funicular is a totally unique structure that gives you a spectacular view of Edmontons"s North Saskatchewan River and it's surrounding areas. This view is from the down town area of Edmonton. The Funicular is a huge, out doors escalator made of solid glass and steel. It stops on an area that gives you a wonderful view of the North Saskatchewan River, the boat jetty which ferry's tourists on the river during summer and view of a bridge. The city of Edmonton has taken a lot of effort in making the place beautiful and colorful with flowers and seating areas. The construction of the Funicular is great for the cyclists and hikers who love the areas in and around the north Saskatchewan River. The fall weather gave the area a picture postcard look. It was really beautiful and peaceful. I would surely recommend this place.

I visited UNESCO-designated Rideau Canal many times. It is very well maintained, and passing of boats are quite impressive. However, they could automate the operation of the locks in order to reduce operational cost, i.e., taxpayers's money, please. The Pretoria Bridge has good view of the canal, but traffic is heavy.

Mid Aug 2022, weekend. This bridge create scaring sound to bystanders when car traversing on. It is also a nuisance to visitors in the Rouge Park Finch Meander. The red traffic light for car travelling east takes nearly 10 min run !??
This old one lane car bridge over cliff overlooking river in middle of woods with no lights at night is really unsafe for cars but especially for pedestrians forced walk with cars behind them through it to pass it to get to otherside, why is there no pedestrian bridge? Im shocked 1st time i encounter this walking home on sewells road from the zoo. City should really fix this problem.

Nice old bridge. Nice view of skaters in winter and cancers, kayaker and boaters in the summer
Nice old bridge in a beautiful area. I love driving down this way— it’s so scenic! (especially in the autumn). The traffic lights make it so easy to use the bridge (I wish all the single-lane bridges in the park had traffic lights!)

Decided to explore a new part of the city, very nice area and also very clean, did not notice any litter at all. Very close to Fort Edm. Park. There is a hidden little parking area ( only big enough for maybe 6 or 7 vehicles) but there are a-lot of nice walking/biking paths. The bridge is pretty nice and allows for some great photos.
Nice zoo lights

If I was a troll, this bridge would be on my short list to live under.
Had a great family day at the zoo.
Unusual little bridge in a type of construction that is usually not permanent, as it is here. Check out the nearby Sewells Road suspension bridge while you are in the area.

It's a bridge. It's got tunnely parts you can walk through and avoid dealing with vehicle traffic (though you can also take the street and deal with traffic if you want). It's a nice scenic area, there's pigeons during the day, bats at night. Great spot for photos and appreciating water, biking walking etc. Probably also great if you've got a boat, but I don't so I don't know. :)
It’s a pedestrian 🚶🏻 bridge over the Grierson hill road to get over to the lookout point. It’s nice, it’s made of steel and cement and wood.
Did a fantastic job with the new Dinosaurs
Beautifully designed bridge that is a pleasure to walk across. It’s unique design is eye catching. As a foot bridge it has lots of space. There is designated seating areas on the bridge that are nice to sit at and enjoy the views. This is an important connector river bridge as part of the larger river valley trail system. My advice is to get out and walk to this bridge and enjoy it.

Beautiful bridge, to cross over and to cross under! Cyclists, be careful for traffic, and pedestrians please be aware at intersections. Cars can be crazy!
Many drives over O'Connor Drive Bridge over the years but first time hiking under it and amazing areas. Great trails and the creek is amazing. One very long hike today at over 20 km's but right in the center of the trip was O'Connor Drive Bridge. Then on the way back I noticed the sign, watch for falling objects. Looked up and this bridge is in need of some repairs but it was nice seeing the trails under for a change from our concrete city.
the bridge is closed now for the season.
I remember the old swinging bridge that first crossed there
This is a review for the zoo. With Covid there are extra checks for safety. The animals have no clue whats going on other than we all look funny. The penguin exhibit is a must. Not a lot of spots for food but there are a couple. If you have a wedding, they have spots for rent for thia purpose. Visit the butterfly pavilion but be prepared to sweat due to humidity. Lots to see and do even for the kids. If you want to visit at least twice a year, get a membership.

It gives a good view of the valley below. However the bike lanes are too small and aren't physically separated from the cars. This means a lot of bikes ride on the sidewalk, putting pedestrians at risk.
The Calgary Zoo Prehistoric Park Bridge is what I would say is just short of an architectural work of art. The bridge’s design appears to be a modern take on a classic cable-stayed bridge with some flares. It combines steel beams and cables with a wooden plank decking and roof, which almost gives the bridge an ‘open tunnel’ feeling. Furthermore, the roofing of the bridge twists as you walk across the bridge, which really adds to the experience. The only downfall of the bridge is that a lot of the viewing of and from the bridge is obscured by excessive chain-link fencing. Understandably, it’s for safety, but it does take away from the overall grandeur. The bridge grants you entrance to the Prehistoric Park, which is a fun walk for all ages and made even better by starting with such a fun bridge. 4 stars.
This bridge feels too steep, but it does it's job like a super hero
“Constructed by the 2nd Field Engineer Regiment of the Cdn Military Engineers after Hurricane Hazel washed out most bridges in Scarborough in 1954, this Bailey bridge spanning Rouge Creek kept the burn going. It’s one of only two Bailey bridges still in use in Toronto (the other crosses the Lakeshore). Legend has it that singing Happy Birthday there will rouse the spirit of a young girl who was murdered on the bridge on her birthday.”
This is a great place to check out. Downfall was the funicular stopped working and we had to go up the stairs with a baby and stroller. Still worth all the views we seen.
i really like the view here, you get to see carlton university's campus and Dow's lake from there.
👍😍

We stayed at an AirBNB the house was magnificent. It an older styled home with an eclectic style (someone must collect art and lamps) Its a quick hop to the Rideau Canal and alot of fun times were had here.
No pedestrian crossing across Colonel By or Queen Elizabeth Drives to the bike paths below the bridge from the bridge stairs. Whereas there is a full pedestrian crossing at the Bank Street bridge. Still, the Bronson Street bridge has sidewalks across the bridge on both sides and stairs down to the canal level.
