Great service and delicious brunch!
Simply outstanding and one of the best vegetarian restaurants we have been to so far. Hiltl mostly serves Swiss classics and comfort food and does so exceptionally well. The setting is, however, rather reminiscent of a fancier restaurant. Certainly a must-see if you come to Zürich.
Haus Hiltl, famous as being the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world, is conveniently located in the heart of Zürich and is a beautiful Multi-Floor restaurant, offering a generous vegetarian/vegan Buffet as well as à la carte options. We went to Haus Hiltl for a dinner date and chose the a la carte option. The service was quick and very friendly. In terms of the food, the vegan tartar was incredibly delicious and the Thai Red Curry was flavourful, creamy and nicely balanced. We definitely look forward to our next visit!
Wonderful restaurant. Food was very tasty, and the wine list is just stunning. Unexpected. Plus the staff is friendly and joyful. Highly recommended.

The tapas were really good except the pulpo which was super gummy and overcooked. But bear in mind this is a bar not a restaurant so the atmosphere is just okay.
Die Bedingung sehr schnell, sympathisch und freundlich. Der bestellte Cappuccino und Latte Macchiato geschmacklich unterdurchschnittlich. Der Aprikosenkuchen ist ok, der Rhabarberkuchen hingegen ungenügend. Bezahlt haben wir für das aufgezählte CHF 28. Das ist auch in Zürich für das gebotene viel zu teuer.
Die Musik ist schon etwas laut, es wird ja nicht getanzt. Ansonsten echt eine coole Bar.
Das Barpersonal ist super, freundlich und aufgestellt. Vorallem die Fintaperson mit den blonden kurzen Haaren scheint sehr motiviert zu sein.

Wir waren an einem Geburtstag eingeladen. Die Musik war viel zu laut, man konnte sich nicht wirklich unterhalten. Auf freundliche Nachfrage, ob die Musik etwas leiser gedreht werde könnte, wurde uns ziemlich frech eine eingeübte Floskel ins Gesicht geworfen ("Wir spielen hier keine Geburtstagslieder ab, das sei eine Technobar, ob wir eigentlich noch nie da waren?"). Die unfreundliche Bardame zog ihre Linie von der Begrüssung bis hin zu den Getränkebestellungen durch. Beruf leider verfehlt. Ich möchte beim Bestellen nicht von oben herab angeschaut werden, als ob ich etwas Unmögliches von ihr will. Einmal mehr den Tisch abräumen, hätte auch schon viel bewirkt. Die Toiletten waren schmuddelig, mindestens einmal an diesem Abend den Abfall leeren, wäre wohl nicht falsch gewesen. Die Getränke waren gut und auch das Ambiente gefiel gut.
We came here expecting to have a relaxed and chill night but instead we experienced no hospitality. The only staff working didn’t even bother to pick up orders after more than 15min and smoked 2 cigarettes in front of the entrance.
Location ist cool, aber Barkeeper sind - bis auf eine Ausnahme - unfreundlich, v.a. die Barkeeperin war extrem unfreundlich. Ich habe meinen Geburtstag in der Wohzimmerbar gefeiert und als ich nur fragen ging, ob die Musik etwas leiser gestellt werden könnte, war ihre Antwort: "Nein, das kann man nicht. Wir spielen auch keine Geburtstagslieder. Wir sind eine Technobar. Warst du noch nie hier?!" So etwas Unfreundliches und Arrogantes habe ich bis dato noch nie in meinem Leben erlebt. Auch sonst gibt einem das Personal das Gefühl, man falle zur Last und nerve. Schade, denn die Bar an sich wäre toll.
It's a pay-by-weight concept with a wide variety of options available at the buffet, spanning a diverse range of cuisines. Personally, I found that the Thai dishes stood out and had a more appealing taste compared to other options. In general, it offers a decent selection of vegetarian dishes, but it doesn't quite reach the level of extraordinary

Chill place for nice music and great chats with friends. It's cash or Twint only so be prepared for that. Straightforward drinks and people, that's all that it's about. And love that it opens every.single.day!
Totally worth it for a luxury food experience. I had a huge plate that I couldnt finish and was 30 francs… but probably only need about about 70% of that… so probably could have spent about 22… open spaciousness and light… great host at the front door explained everything… best to get to the buffet and self serve for value… oh they had gluten free bread in a wrapped packet too.
A great vegetarian restaurant, with the best variety in all of the city served in a buffet. The food is charged by weight so you only pay for what you eat from the buffet, unless you have the appetite, then you can take an unlimited meal for 63 CHF. Absolutely worth it if you are in the mood for a heavy meal.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world. There are more choices in the buffet than you can manage to try, even if you choose the all you can eat option. There’s so much variety! It’s global vegetarian cuisine, and it’s all delicious. The restaurant itself is super cool, hip and beautiful. This restaurant is iconic for sure. Absolutely recommend!
Cash only great beer
Food I mean the drinks. The drinks are always good before midnight, afterwards there is a lot of people meaning a lot of pressure and work and they usually are a little bit not mixed enough. On the weekends sometimes they make you pay if you come after 22:30 (12.-) last time they let me in gratis (girl power lol). Music and the ambience is amazing, almost no table in the bar cause they wanna make you dance in the middle and I think is really nice. And you can give your jacket like in the club but you don’t pay the fee
Best options for vegetarians ever! The restaurant works as a buffet for vegetarians. You get to choose between a breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet depending on when you arrive. You can also order a la carte if you visit the back of the restaurant. They give you almost too many good options. Pricing is based on weight so the you pick up a plate, fill it, then weigh it at the bar and pay. Bread is excluded from the weighing. You'll very quickly break over 20 Francs but you'll love your meal.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet mit fairen Preisen. Die Musik war allerdings sehr laut. Die Bedienung war leider eher unfreundlich und weigerte sich auch auf freundliches Nachfragen, die Musik nur ansatzweise leiser zu drehen.

The problem and the reason why no coming back at least until they solve it and is the place doesn't have air conditioning, is an awful atmosphere, you go out to get fresh air and when you come back a nasty warm wind hits you like a heatstroke, it really makes the time there disgusting.
Is a pity because is the perfect place to dance. I hope they make something soon.

Cozy and friendly neighborhood bar, always a good time and the possibility to get to know random strangers (if you'd like). And when was the last time you got free water or a shot for the way home at a bar in ZURICH? Exactly. This place is completely atypical for Zurich in all the best ways.
Pretty cool vibes and loads of beer to try (you can even sample). Service is A+.
Lieblings-Quartierbeiz in Zürich, hab hier mein Herz verschenkt. Aber auch das Barteam, die super Bierauswahl, die Gäste sowie die Terrasse im Sommer überzeugen. Auch die Plättli (Käse und/oder Salsiz) sind lecker, wenn aus lauter "No eis" der Znacht vergessen geht.
Eine kulinarische Reise nach Spanien, wir haben ausgezeichnet und genussvoll gegessen und guten spanischen Wein getrunken. Der Carajillo und Crema Catalana waren der krönende Abschluss. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Claudio, Küche und Service, wir hatten einen richtig schönen Abend😊.

Truly this is the world best incredible vegetarian restaurant & bar. Also, The biggest veg buffet I have ever seen in Zürich. They have so many options in foods also the desserts. The Vegetarian lovers have a best selections there. Also Non-Veg lovers can try theirs foods. The Buffet is pay-by-weight. Not cheap, but very good. In my suggestion don’t go on noon because they will have a big crowd and you have to waiting for the tables. But, when you visit on evening or maybe dinner you will have lot of places. Also they have a restaurants.

Charged 51chf for three beers by a drunk bartender. Didn't notice when paying but realised much after. The price per beer was supposed to be 10chf.

Beer is expensive but great. They have a very interesting selection. Music is really good. The space outside is lovely and very cosy inside.
Schönes Plätzchen abseits vom Trubel. Nette, unkomplizerte und professionelle Bedienung. Auch für den kleinen Hunger gibt es etwas.
Visited this place while in Zurich. Local bar near our hotel that was open on Monday. The staff were nice and welcoming and gave me tips on the city. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Endlich habe ich ein Ort gefunden.
Der Chef hat mit ein Bocadillo mit Lomo gemacht obwohl sie eine geschlossene Gesellschaft hatten.

Das besondere Flair dieses Café sieht man daran, dass fast ausschließlich Einheimischen es besuchen. Entspanne Atmosphäre und doch noch im Stadtzentrum.

Probably one of the cheapest beer in Zurich with 40cl beer priced below sfr7. Only problem is that they only accept cash, don’t forget to withdraw money before going as the closest ATM is in Europaallee.

Bereits seit 1999 gibt es die Total Bar in Zürich. Heute eine Legende. Viele verrauchte Nächte darin verbracht. Auch wenn heute natürlich rauchen im Innern nicht mehr erlaubt ist, riecht man die Zeit in der Total Bar immer noch. An der Bar gibt es unter anderem frisch gezapftes Sprint Bier und eine riesige Auswahl an Spirituosen. Nur Barzahlung möglich. Das kann man gut oder schlecht finden, mir ist das egal und ich weiss nun, wieso ich immer ein Not-Nötli dabei habe 😊 Bei guten Wetter kann man auch draussen sitzen.
Usually we really like the bar and can recommend it to drink a beer here with friends. However, this time I asked one male bar keeper with long curly black hair if it is possible to play a birthday song for a friend and he was very unfriendly to me and sweared to me, then he added smth that I did not understand and asked him to repeat it friendly, but he refused it. Disappointing and hurtful experience in otherwise lovely bar.
Delicious burgers in a great setting for a date night - we look forward to returning for brunch with the children to explore the kid's space!
This is a nice place. You come as a stranger and go as a friend. The Bar has a slight 80’s touch but is a perfect place for an uncomplicated drink. I met Vera and she is a great host, always connecting people. The only negative thing is that you stay longer as you might have planned. Not bad at all. Highly recommended.

The best burger I've had east of the Atlantic Ocean. I'm from the US and was convinced no one in Europe could do American "comfort food." This place shines and does the burger/brunch thing exceptionally... but with better cheese than the US!

Great food and pleasant staff! Burgers were spot on and nice selection of beers. Even a spot for the kiddos to play!
Awesome burger joint with a few nods to american favorites like steak and shake and in-n-out burger. The serving size is massive, no skimping on the fries. The fries are thin cut and come with an option of parmesan, which is a nice touch. Got a beer while waiting for the food and the draft selection was excellent. We also shared a side of onion rings that were fantastic. The next day, we stopped by for brunch which had classic american style eggs etc, and also an english breakfast option! Overall excellent food and service, with a nice brunch option as well as great hamburgers!

Quand à la discussion téléphonique de la serveuse dans la salle, elle était partagée avec l ensemble de la clientèle.
Bref j y étais invitée mais n y retournerai pas.

Man mag es oder man mag es nicht. Ich mag es. Unkompliziert und auf dem Boden geblieben. Feine Biere! Turbinenbräu und auch Jever vom Fass. Wenige gemütliche Tische direkt vor der Bar an der Strasse.

Ideales Lokal um zu lesen, ein angenehmes Gespräch zu führen oder einfach zu sinnieren. Eines der wenigen Lokale, das nicht versucht dem Gast ein Konzept aufzudrängen, sondern die Gäste kreieren das "Konzept", die Atmosphäre zusammen mit dem Lokal. Gäbe es die Altstadt Bar nicht, müsste man sie erfinden.

Very nice place! It has also few Indian dishes, samosa, chai and mango lassi. It has a nice patio outside and inside it's also very nice, with Marimekko pillows :)
On y mange très bien, les prix sont correctes, le personnel sympathique, ils sont très commerçant, terrasse bien ombragée par les parasols. 😃

One of the best restaurants I have been recently, few but very well cooked dishes. A real culinary surprise that should deserve every day sold-out. Excellent home made and genuine dishes both Asian and Swiss. Absolutely to try for vegetarians/vegans too.

This cafe is going to be the up and coming hot spot of Uster West. The husband and wife owners offer a mixture of Swiss/Asian dishes. 1. Super friendly. 2. Prices are reasonable and normal for Uster 3. Clean and nicely decorated.
