I went for an event about the plants and process of how tea is made. It was only available in German which I don't speak but with using my translator I was able to get the gist of what was being said. The gardens themselves were beautiful and many of the signs had English translation
The garden stays open quite late but be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore as it is a fairly large property with many rooms. They have orchids for sale during specific hours and the staff was very friendly. I didn't have time to check out everything but there is apparently a restaurant, mini putt and a play area...there are also many bathrooms throughout. A great place and a very reasonable entrance fee

Really fun experience and tour of the Frankfurt palm gardens. There is an entry fee to get in, which can we bought in advance or on the spot - depending on the time of day, the line shouldn't be too long. The gardens are pretty vast, so it won't appear too packed. There's so many different things to see inside - plants, shrubs, trees, insects - both indoors and outdoors.
This place was so beautiful! I will definitely come back, there is so much to see that in 3 hours we didn’t manage! So many different plants and species and you can take really great photos. I guess in spring has to be the best time of the year for a visit at the PalmenGarten.

A lovely place. Has descriptions of all historical displays, including old houses in different times in history. All descriptions/explanations are available in German, no English.
Immer wieder eine schöne Reise in die Vergangenheit. Die Traktorenausstellung ist der Hammer und für Liebhaber ein unbedingtes Muss. Die Mähdreschersimulation ist spielerisch genial. Leider haben wir den Rückwärtsgang nicht gefunden. Gibt es denn keinen??? Das Gelände ist sehr gepflegt und informativ ausgeschildert.
Many different beautiful flowers and lots of different plants and Cactus. If your Nature's lovers, definitely Palmer Is the best to visit. Long hours to explore 2 or 3 hours depends how long you enjoy the views. Better bring your own water, because the cafe was near the entrance.

It was lovely there, I really enjoyed it. Could have done without the swarm of cosplayers who were a bit too enthusiastic. But it's a beautiful place, so it draws everyone to want to visit.

Das Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg, ein sehr schönes Museum und es gibt sehr viel zusehen in und um dem Kiekeberg.
Ich war dieses Mal zum Thema Trecker dort. Dr. Trecker hat zum Treckertreffen gerufen und hunderte Trecker, Schlepper, Holder, LKW und vieles mehr gab es an zwei Tagen zu bestaunen und anfassen 😘.
Ein ❤️ für die kleinen, die sogar einige Runden mit allem was die Stadtkinder nur im Film oder Büchern zu sehen bekommen live zu erleben und mitfahren durften.

Eine freundliche Begrüßung sei hier als erstes erwähnt. Gewählt wurde der "Sylter Pannfisch" mit Dijonsenfsauce. Die Sauce ließ den Dijonsenf nur minimal erahnen und die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr fettig angebraten. Alles in allem, ertranken die Fischfilets der Art in der Sauce, dass hier ein Geschmack der verschiedenen Fischsorten nicht wahrgenommen werden konnte. Die Salatbeilage hingegen war sehr geschmackvoll. Der Grauburgunder schmeckte exzellent.

Super schöner Ort zum Staunen und entspannen. Nach einem Spaziergang kann man sich im Lokal verwöhnen lassen. So leckere Bratkartoffeln hatte ich lange nicht mehr. Die Königsberger Straße ist schön geworden. Aber gerne noch ausbaufähig. Alte Häuser und Scheunen treffen auf die 50er, 60er, 70er Jahre. TOP. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.
It's a big garden, and I highly recommend a visit. You can see different types of plants, from those in dry desert conditions to ones in humid jungles, all in one place. It's interesting to see how they take care of these plants. They offer student discounts too.

Da dieser Garten mehr Bildungs - als Erholungscharakter hat hat man mit dem Schlderlesen schon ordentlich zu tun…Aber man lernt wirklich eine Vielfalt von Pflanzen kennen die gut durchdacht bepflanzt sind.

Lovely place, its so nice to walk around and see different types of plants and flowers. To see plants that you will never have a chance to see and to see plants you never thought existed its really worth it. But it was a shame the butterfly place was closed people say that was great as-well. Highly recommend if your in Frankfurt and interested in plants or parks.

This is abundantly and breath holding visit.
Both the indoor and outdoor succulents and cactus, they also have some greenhouses not open to visitors, but you can definitely see the the glasses.

Of course their other gardens are also very well presented, love the carnivores collection. The palm one is so so.

Das Freilichtmuseum ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Die Gebäude sind alle schön anzuschauen. Interessant ist auch der Bereich, wo das Leben in den 50er/60er Jahren dargestellt ist. Dies sieht man in Freilichtmuseen eher seltener. Wenn man dann beobachten kann, wie ältere Besucher ihren Enkeln alles erklären, was sie selber einst besaßen und dies noch alles von früher kennen, dann ist dies ein herrlicher Ort wo auch mal die Älteren den Jüngeren mit leuchtenden Augen die Welt erklären können. Einfach wunderbar.

Ein sehr schönes Freilichtmuseum! Personen bis Volljährigkeit zahlen keinen Eintritt, für Erwachsene gibt es die Möglichkeit eines Kombi Tickets mit dem Tierpark Schwarze Berge, ansonsten 9 Euro. Auf dem Gelände befinden sich viele Alte Häuser aus Norddeutschland incl. der damaligen Einrichtung. Es gibt für Kinder diverse Tiere zum Gucken auf dem Gelände (Hühner, Gänse, Schweine), auch kleine Ferkel und eventuell auch Gössel. Auch ein kleiner Spielplatz ist vorhanden. Interessant ist auch das Indoor Museum mit alten Landmaschinen. Mir persönlich haben sehr gut die bunten Bauerngärten und Fallobstwiesen auf dem Gelände gefallen.
I highly recommend walking the larger park with big trees and various wooded trails in addition to the Japanese area. I also recommend making a stop here if you are driving between Köln and Dusseldorf. It's windy today and the trees are waving all around, air so fresh.
Quiet, relaxing spot. It's so beautiful and I can imagine during the week you could have this place to oneself.
A little taste of Asia. It's small and but not popular so you can always find a quiet corner. There are rules at the entrance that encourage visitors to be respectful of the garden and conduct themselves peacefully.
Really nice people in a beautiful island of nature! It's a voluntary cared for nature "reserve" for education, honey production and plant conservation.
Schönes Restaurant mit leckeren Speisen an der Straße mit eigenen Parkplätzen. Der Service ist blitzschnell und das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Preis ist jedoch etwas gehoben. Wir haben das Restaurant zufällig beim Vorbeifahren entdeckt und waren froh, das es zur Mittagszeit noch ausreichend freie Plätze verfügbar gab.

Its a beautiful place, loved the diversity of plants. Well maintained must go of you are a nature lover, you would love the walk through this whole place. They have specific sections for different regions on planet and they are climate controlled inside.

Its a very beautiful, small Japanese garden with free access. The landscape was breathtaking. Recommend a visit if you are in Bonn....

Ein wunderschönes Freilichtmuseum das einen Besuch wert ist. Es wird auch für Kinder etwas geboten. Mir persönlich haben die Siedlungsgebäude und Geschäfte der 50/60 Jahre gefallen. Die Landwirtschaft- Ausstellung ist auch sehenswert. Es wird nicht der letzte Besuch dort gewesen sein.

The layout of the gardens was amazing, beautiful specimen trees and garden bedding. Most of the site is level, with one area near the large lake having a drop down to it, but only gentle, so very easy for a gentle stroll and plenty of wheelchair access for the whole site, you won't miss a thing.
Sonniger Nachmittag mit warmem Pflaumenkuchen und Apfelkuchen und lecker Kaffee im wunderschönen Garten, entspannte Atmosphäre, flinkes und sehr zuvorkommendes nettes Personal. Sylt von seiner angenehmsten Seite.
Ein wunderschönes Café und Restaurant mit ganz vielen liebevollen Details, sowohl im Garten als auch innen. Das Thunfischfilet im Sesammantel, Wasabi-Mayonaise, Süßkartoffelpürree und einem asiatischen Gurkensalat war der Hammer! Auch das Wiener Karlsschnitzel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Unser Kellner war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich...mit einem guten Touch von Humor. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder beim nächsten Syltbesuch 👍😁
A park for nearly all seasons but especially nice in the spring. From March to June there are special viewings of camellias and roses, and special events from time to time during the warmer seasons. Personally my favourite is between end of April and first half of May, when some of the grounds are covered with bluebells -- it is not comparable to the bluebell-covered woodlands in the UK, but this may be the only place within Frankfurt where one can see large areas of the bells.
It is big enough to never feel crowded once you are in. Not all the spaces of the greenhouses are open all the time, however.

Leider war die Anreise durch die vielen Besucher und die Baustellen sehr beschwerlich und zeitaufwendig. Auf dem Gelände selbst war alles gut organisiert. Kaum Wartezeiten. Toll, dass Kinder keinen Eintritt zahlen müssen. Die Preise bei den Gastronomiebetrieben sind wirklich übertrieben. Peaceful and beautiful, is the right place where to chill, play sports, juggle (the jugglers community meet here). One of the places that deserve to be seen in Leipzig
Picturesque and calming place. Although it takes only 10min to pass through the whole park, this place definitely is worth visiting. There are also some fish in the lake. Perfect for sipping coffee while watching them.
One of the best if not the best Japanese gardens outside Japan. It is so spacious, over 15.000m2 and covering everything from torii gates to stone lanterns, bridges, statuettes, gorgeous scenery and perfect arrangement. Hidden in the end of the park, it is a true gem near Köln.

Working at Bayer, this is one of the many treats as an employee. In the lunch break, have a stroll in the park laid out by Carl Duisberg himself 100 years ago. The tranquility and beauty of the selected flora also attracts many tourists - the garden is open to the public as well.

Ich kann leider nur sehr negativ berichten. Ich hatte Regalträger bestellt, in einer Größe, die meiner Meinung nach für ein etwas schwereres Regal geeignet hätten sein müssen. Leider haben sich diese total verbogen und waren somit ungeeignet. Meine Rücksendung wurde daraufhin nur unvollständig erstattet und ein Teil des Betrages einfach einbehalten. Auf meine Nachricht hat die Verkaäuferin nicht reagiert.

Wonderful park. The park is very calm and relaxing. You can see all colors of trees there and have very nice and relaxing walks inside the park. There is a very beautiful lake in the park where they even have boat rides. They offer either rowing or pedal boats.

Beautiful place to spend a sunny morning. 3 euro for adults and 1 for dogs is super affordable price. You can enjoy a good beer at the beergarden, or sit next to the fruit trees. The Japanese garden section is so peaceful and perfect for pictures. Awesome place
