I love this place.
This is second time that I visit here and it was perfect.
Server was very very kind, and atmosphere was “super”. Seafood is also very fresh and delicious. It was perfect dinner for my family including my parents.
Hope to visit again. Merci beaucoup.

Great place to soak up the sea. Service is attentive. Drinks are great. We shared a Caesar salad with chicken. Big big pieces of chicken. Not great ty but not bad either. Love the setting!

The atmosphere is so beautiful and they are so friendly. You can experience the Parisian dinner you dream of here. However, the description of the food was lacking and communication was difficult. I asked for raw fish but they served me a main dish of cooked fish. I even had to pick out the fish bones myself. I left more than half of it.

Great service from the staff. Enjoyed how they brought the daily menu out to the table, (on a white board) and was able to explain their offerings. Seating felt a bit cramped.
Food wise, fresh seafood, and wine!
My only grip was that the food had little to no flavors / taste. I would assume it was very lightly seasoned to accommodate a wide range of palates. I just expected more for the price range.
The red fish was seasoned well. The rest not so. In my opinion, the vegetable sides I ordered had 0% seasoning.
Absolutely enjoyed the small bowl of complimentary bread and clams.
My Calamari and fried onions were a bit overcooked; however, still edible.
Only able to order one serving of razor claim, due to them having limited offerings. Only my friend was able to enjoy. I sampled one of his and it was delicious.

A really nice and relaxing experience. We went there for the day and reserved 2 beach lounges ( very comfortable) and stayed there for few hours enjoying the view. It was a very nice experience and staff were really lovely especially Roman who was helpful and had an amazing sense of humour. I would definitely recommend going there if you are in Nice and you want to enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the beach.
We didn’t try the food but their hot drinks were good.

We hosted our post wedding brunch here and the only way I can describe it was flawless.
From the day of enquiry right the way through to the end of the event. Margaux was amazing via email, so quick to respond and made me feel at ease. Any diet requirements or menu changes were granted without hesitation and even on the day we had some last minute changes to the menu which they very quickly accommodated. I cannot recommended this place more, thank you so much for making our day so special, the team are a real credit to you.
If you are questioning hosting an event here don't.

Wow 🤩
This was a last minute decision and it was a great one
We’re big foodies and if you like fish then this is fabulous. The quality of ingredients is fantastic you’d think that you were next to the sea. The chef is very talented and everything cooked to perfection. Highlight for me was the tuna and my husband the octopus.
The staff very attentive and friendly too.
We asked the sommelier to pair wines with our food, again we love our wines, the champagne 🥂 well it’s something that’s just got to be tried, it’s got salty notes that prepare the palette for the food to come, excellent 👌 the wines by the glass were offered in half measures which we’ve never been offered before but we’re sure to ask for it again as it was perfect, the choice of wine from sommelier was exceptional and went wonderfully with every course.
We’re also a bit difficult as both of us can’t eat eggs and they catered to our last minute booking brilliantly.
Value for money was great for Michelin star if you enjoy good quality food and wine then we would definitely recommend

Beautiful beach, comfy sunchairs and large parasols. Little pier makes access to the water easy. However very high prices for a day rental of sunchairs and parasol. Very strict policy on not consuming brought drinks, even water, which is a bit annoying. Beach closes at 19:00.

Excellent fresh seafood ! Very kind service. They proudly present their catches of the day. We sat inside and the roof was open so it has a very lovely bright atmosphere. would 100% recommend. It is quite pricey.
we had one of their fish of the day which was exquisite and their vongole pasta which was kept quite simple. That one was not crazy but still a very lovely restaurant.

Overpriced, was exited to have diner there based on the menu, but did not match expectation at all, my lobster spaghetti dish was poor for a price tag of € 45, almost insulting, didn’t want to complain at the table we just pay the bill without taking any dessert or coffee, do not wright review normally as I am an Executive chef myself but he had to be said. Was excepting a better quality and at least home made spaghetti but they were clearly bought in. Minimum amount of lobster lucky if I had 70 to 80g in the plate, we are travelling every year since 2016 in the Provence region and being s family of foodies we are eating in several restaurants during our stay but never been that disappointed before. Staff were friendly I enjoyed the wine but the food was a disappointment. I know from previous reviews that the owner do not take criticism very well, but you just need sometime to take in on the shin recognise that you could do better for the price you are charging and make sure you are meeting client expectation, this is the nature of our business.
Kind regards

Overall food was not bad and wine pairing was the best part of the service. The sommelier really listen to your likes and give great recommendations. Seafood is very fresh and love the seasoning of it. Service is not the best as a Michelin star restaurant but ok until this strange incident.
I got asking by the sommelier about getting the second bottle of sparkling water when I am having my last main, since I finished the first bottle. Knowing that there is no way I can finish this bottle by my self with such a short time remaining, I still ordered it because I like the taste of this sparkling water and thinking I can take it home if it’s unfinished. So when I am about to leave I took this bottle of sparkling water since it’s basically untouched and the waiter stopped me by the door and said “you can’t take this water with you”. I was a bit surprised and asked “oh I can’t take it with me? Why?” The waiter just said “No” without any further explanation.
I didn’t want to waste time arguing over a bottle of water cause’ my taxi is already waiting for me outside.
Still not sure why exactly cause haven’t encountered any situation like this in other restaurants in Paris.
I could understand for some reason this water can not be taken away but would love to get to know this when getting nudged to order the second bottle of water and get some explanation when getting stopped by the door.

We reserved chairs and an umbrella for a day while visiting Nice. We had a Wonderful time at this beach club. The chairs were super comfy with thick chair cushions which made lounging on the beach really nice. The food options on the menu were great and loved the fruit platter! It was family friendly, great service and we had a really great time. I loved that you could reserve chairs ahead of time since some of the beach clubs you could not. This made it very convenient for us when planning our trip to be able to guarantee a spot.

The food here was excellent, can't fault it. We were let down by the slow service and as an easy table of 2 we expected the service to be more prompt and attentive. We had a reservation for 7pm and we were sat shortly after then. We received our first course but then were forgotten about despite giving several reminders to the staff. We were served our main course at 8:50pm and had to leave at 9pm for a concert (staff were made aware of this), which was a shame. We didn't receive a sincere apology for this and nothing was done by the restaurant to make it right so we were left quite disappointed.

Went for the seafood brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ironically the plated dishes weren’t my favorite - started with caviar, which was good but not amazing. Then had an egg dish with caviar on top - I enjoyed that a lot. Also enjoyed the aubergine. I thought the mains were just fine but could be because of what we ordered.
I much preferred the seafood and the cheese offering, which was so decadent and delicious. And the bread options were to die for, I kept going back for more.
The desserts off course were so tasty. I’d recommend going with a bigger group - 4 or more if possible to try more without wasting. I went with just my mom so it obviously felt wrong to get a lot and not eat it all so we limited ourselves- but with a bigger group one can try more. Also the setting is beautiful and the staff is so kind: the service is amazing. Strongly recommend!

We had a meal in the casual dining section. The Caesar salad was great although the chicken looks more crispy than it is. Aperol was an aperol so did not disappoint. Price for the Caesar and aperol was about €40.
The staff are not very welcoming.

I had a BLAST at Cagouille. I went on my own during a business trip in Paris, looking to eat a Dorade. It was not on the menu BUT they had one left which they cooked for me. Great fishes, seafood, wine list. Average client age is 80YO which was fine by me as old french people know where to eat (i am french as well).

The food is nothing to write home about, but perfectly acceptable. The staff however is so welcoming and attentive and someone is always available and ready to help you. Patrick was my server and so nice not only to me but also others that I observed.

Rom Baba was best desert in my life. All fish dishes is top. Baby squid I prefer.

I visited Ruhl Plage three times while I was in Nice and couldn't get enough! The food is outstanding, great selection of seafood and meat dishes, big portions and very tasty food. They also have a great selection of wine, cocktails and non alcoholic drink. We were lucky that they have live Jaz music band on one of the evenings which made my experience even better.
They also have sunbeds that you can hire for the day, it can get busy so worth booking it in advance. The facilities are very clean.

I'm no expert on cassoulet, but it was delicious and more than enough. I couldn't finish it. Portion sizes were generous all around
Service was friendly and spoke great English.

Had such a nice meal here! We ordered the tuna main + spaghetti alls vongole and both were really tasty. Our waitress was so sweet and recommended the delicious chocolate dessert - not to be missed.

Wonderful restaurant for expertly presented seafood of the highest quality, prepared to let the natural sea flavors shine.

Sadly, very Overrated on their seafood. In Paris ,Had much superior Langoustine at Taillevent and creative St Pierre at Baillote. Also they seated us in an awkward 3 table alcove and a man gave slavish service to the corner table that ordered the most expensive 7 course menu ,while ignoring the other two tables, one of which were ours.
Was an Olympic sports to get their attention for any service. Exhausting after spending the day at the Louvre.
Langoustine with garlic souffle, turned out to be a browned mayonnaise on top.
Much better options all over town.

Quick service, lovely environment, feels super European and relaxed, we had the Tigre and the Octopus and we absolutely loved it to the point where we licked the plates. Very friendly staff and happy to offer recommendations for things to do nearby!

Wir haben hier Austern gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Cute little hidden spot in a square next to many other restaurants- staff was helpful and accommodating for lunch.

I made a reservation for 6pm because that’s when they were supposed to serve food. When we arrived and sat down around 6:15pm, they said that the kitchen won’t open until 7pm, which is no problem, since we were walking and biking all day so we ordered drinks. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink and we asked for a drink menu but he said they didn’t have one and just to tell him what we liked. The drinks came but were missing the water that we ordered as well.
We had to flag down the service staff every single time we wanted more drinks.
Around 6:40pm we noticed the kitchen staff sitting down outside to eat their burgers and fries, after which they lit up cigarettes and enjoyed the evening.
Around 7:15pm we started to flag a waiter down to place our orders but suddenly the waiter said that they won’t take food orders until 8pm, so we just paid for our drinks and left. During the whole evening we noticed the other restaurants were serving food already.
At least they provided blankets to use when it got cooler.

We loved this place - they opened early for us even though we didn’t ask - great service - fabulous fresh fish with table side deboning - very nice touch. My beef was delicious- cooked perfectly but would have liked a bit more meat for the price. I would go back and order a seafood platter to share. The local red wine I had was delicious. Their friendly staff were professional and warm and even indulged us as native English speakers. Excellent spot.

Very nice food, we tried both foie gras and cassoulet! Excellent service by young guys offering a very pleasant dinner. Not too much choice but that is a quality plus.

A real careful true Clients'RESPECT fishermen' fresh caught seafood restaurant. Precise cooking, light dressing - most relaxing and enjoyable.
Lounged by just in face Marina, sea breeze and reassuring "steel music" of moored-boats vibrating cords. Last: remarkable cocktails and sweets !!!
Thanks for such professionality and - again- clients'real respect !!

A hidden gem inside the castle walls. We had the pizza, onion soup, cassoulet (incredible) and baked Camembert. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the trip from Canada!

Really lovely and welcoming atmosphere here. With beautiful tapestries and stonework, although do not sit near the door, especially in the cold weather, as so many people left it wide open or didn't quite close it. I ordered a salmon pasta dish with ricotta, which was beautiful and fresh with fabulous flavours. My partner ordered the popular dish of the area, aka a cassoulet although aesthetically, it looked fabulous it was not as flavoursome. Lovely welcoming host though and fair prices.

I have been to multiple Michelin starred places, and all I can wonder is why and how did this place lose its 3rd star? It's by far my favorite restaurant experience.
The setting is amazing, especially if you are lucky (as we were) to enjoy a sunny day and high tide over the Plage de la Concurrence.
Service is attentive and not overbearing, from welcoming you to the restaurant, explaining the history of the house, and explaining all the dishes.
Of course, the food is the star of the show. It's of course all seafood - the chef is after a "fisherman chef". The seasonality of the seafood is interesting, and I would gladly try again in a different season to taste different in-season products. But it's not just the seafood (even though that squid is something to die for!): we were all very impressed by the light and creative desserts.
All in all, it's an experience. And one we will gladly come back for. We loved it.

This was not just a dinner. Every bite was an experience.
Everything about this place is just amazing. The people working here are wonderfully pleasant and friendly, the space itself is beautiful, the choice of music is on point, and the food is just perfect. We enjoyed every moment. If I could, I would spend the whole night here just eating and enjoying the atmosphere. 😁

I have rarely eaten so well. The atmosphere and the staff were fresh, modern and made our lunch perfect. The food was very fine and noble. The view of the harbor from inside was impressive.

Perfect little place on the far end of the Vieux Port, but don’t let the location fools you since the food here is good and very fairy priced compared to other restaurants along Vieux Port. We got oysters as starter (Gillardeaus!) and husband got bouillabaisse and I got saffran risotto. Portions were big and satisfying and we loved the food

The service and the food was good! I got the Poulpe (Octopus) it was really good! The waitress spoke good English. Merci from Texas USA!!

delicious refined traditional cuisine.
super friendly staffs.

Service was quite slow dispite the fact restaurant was only half full. But this is the only con I find. Food (fish and seafood) is delicious, place marvellous (you can see the port) and wine excellent. It is also a fair value for money.

Food was amazing and we had a really good lunch. The specials were really good and the restaurant is in a good location if you're checking out the harbour

This authentic provincial brasserie does not disappoint. I can honestly say this is the first time dining in France that I loved each dish.
Although the Onion Soups was good, the Seabass with Curry Carrots 🥕 and broccoli 🥦 mashed potatoes is forever memorable. We recommend this relaxed eatery and will most likely go back at least once more during our month long stay in Carcassone.

Baked Camembert just changed my life. No more cheese from store, only dreaming about this one.
On the serious note, the place has an amazing atmospheric interior of real castle habitats buildings.
Staff is very friendly and polite
My duck breast was too much raw for me but the taste was incredible
Lamb cotelets were great too.
Highly recommend this place!

Best restaurant at Port of Hyeres.
The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We had an amazing experience there and we will definitely come back.

We ordered a Caesar salad and bbq sardines. Requested no tomatoes in the Caesar. The Caesar came 10minutes after the sardines, with tomatoes (so late and order not respected).
Staff a bit strange with saying hello (said hi when I arrived and same person gave me an attitude when I ask where could I wash my hands, because I didn't say hi)

Best restaurant by the port by far! Loved the atmosphere, and the staff was so friendly ❤️ food was amazing and obviously prepared with a lot of care with fresh and high quality ingredients. Had the lightly fried seafood platter and tempura veggies to share with the whole table and then had THE MOST beautiful burrata salad which I highly recommend.
Overall this place was fantastic and definitely worth getting a reservation

Cooking was perfect (I think that’s the first time I’ve written that!). The quality of every dish was excellent. Very enjoyable!

We arrived quite late, had no reservation but got the table. We were very pleased with the food and very attentive service. Cassoulet that everyone is raving about is worth the praise it gets. My son was secretly licking the duck sauce off his serving plate board. Highly recommended.

It was a shame they ran out of moules when we came but our dishes of dourade and poulpe were really good. Friendly and quick service at a lively area with a nice view of the Basilica. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Good food. The problem is the errors made between what we ordered and what was brought us (eg ordering two plates of tagliatelle and getting two plates of potatoes; ordering four different desserts and getting only three of them; have to wait forever to get a waiter when we wanted to get some more water, bread, wine and salt). Also, paying 16 Euros for a simple plate with some strawberries and raspberries!!

La Cagouille is one of those places that when you are in the mood for spectacular seafood, this is where you go. First off, top service here, friendly and helpful and hardworking…a very rare thing in Paris. The atmosphere is also really enjoyable and pleasing…sat outside on the terrace on a warm summer night and it was the perfect stage for this dining experience. Clams, oysters, fried anchovies green salad plus perfectly cooked and very tasty fish. Everything fresh and cooked on point…plus amazing wine list and very reasonable prices. One of latest favorite dinners in Paris, beyond my expectations.

Very good - very welcome on a Sunday night - good food and excellent friendly service

This place deserves more than five stars. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and had a great sense of humor. We had an amazing evening exploring their delicious dishes and exceptional wines what a wonderful dining experience!! Merci!

Very rare that i give 5 stars
-sea food
-chef is one of top who knows how to cook

Service is very good, nice atmosphere, good coffee, tasty Cesar salad, not tasty fillet of Dorado, too much oil, too many onion, just 4 carrots and onions instead of vegetables or salad.

Entered as a traveller, got out feeling at home! Very interesting place literally 15 meters from the sea with wonderful local food and very representative fish dishes. Great host and big helpful advices for both food and places to go visit, really recommended!!

I usually don't review any places I go to, but this place deserves to be experienced by everyone who passes from this beautiful town, the host speaks very good english and if you've been in France long enough, you know that is something pretty rare. The fish is fresh, good quality and even cooked in many different and tasty ways. Also if you like it spicy, there is plenty for you as well. We spent 20-30 euros each but we ate ALOT, you can easily pay way less.

This was probably the best place for food and hospitality I had the pleasure to encounter during my trip to France. Highly recommend It!

Didn’t expect anything less than perfection. Impeccable meal, great service and beautiful dining environment. Thanks to the staff for a lovely dinner.

Highly recommended. Lovely French restaurant by the old port. I dined here with some friends (group of 6) on a Thursday night. We did not have a reservation, but the staff was able to accommodate us. The place is very nice and elegant. There is also a nice terrace, for those who prefer to eat outside. Staff was very friendly and the waitress that looked after our table was happy to give us some meal recommendations (she could speak Italian, which made the conversation much easier). The cod was delicious and very fresh. It was served with home made gnocchi and a lovely aubergine sauce. I also tried their revised (and simpler) version of the local “bouillabaisse” which in this case was prepared with red mullet. It was lovely, but I personally did not love the taste of cloves in it. Tap water and bread were served to us for free. Definitely a great place to taste some nice French food, within the city center.

Celebrating my birthday here, delicious seafood and great service. I will come again for sure!

The food was so delicious and light. We got the fish assortment. The octopus was specially fantastic. Can’t beat this food with such an amazing view of the port during sunset with this cool breeze. Topped it with a marvelous cheesecake and a latte ❤️

The ceasar salad was a delight! Very good service (girl with two buns). Nous reviendrons ! Merci

Very good servis and really friendly staff who recommeded us the best octopus we have ever had. We spend there a pleasant time. They have not an english menu, but they are very helpful with translation. Its really rare in France according to our experience. Would definitely go there again. Thank you (:

Nice seafood , reasonably priced for for a seaside town and very friendly and helpful service

A three Stars in La Rochelle for a change in my Paris Star Marathon (cf Googlemaps list)
I took a break from Paris and I tried the best one star deal in the west of France, and then the only 3 stars there is on the entire Atlantic cost.
A master class on the Ocean.
There’s a lot to say. I’m glad I went there once I was close to a hundred stars under my belt because it gave me perspective. To make it short, focus only on 3 points (which is already a lot and more than usual). The ingredients, the harmony and the brigade.
The ingredients. First, the chef is playing with gold. Actually, a part of it reminded me of the best Japanese sushi ya, with the utmost quality of their fishes and seafood. You ll have some of the best raw seafood that you can ever have. But then, the chef starts its master class and cooks, grills, turns into jelly or powders even foam. You’ll explore and discover an ocean of possibilities.
The harmony. Once you have the ingredients are able to decline them, you want them to resonate with others. The chef finds what ingredients have in common, and then what they can bring to each other so they can resonate creating an harmony. Yes, every dishes resonate with harmony. Furthermore, every dish resonate with the previous one, creating an overall ensemble. For me, this strong sense of first finding the common point and then building on it to look for how they can complement each other into creating an harmonious ensemble is clearly the chef incredible gift. It is even more striking when you reach the dessert. The chef pâtissier is clearly gifted, and must have brought his note to the partition, but the music belongs to the chef.
The brigade. This brings me to the last point. The brigade de cuisine is an army and it’s a challenge to make it harmonious. But you also have the brigade de salle (the waiters, maître d hôtel, etc…). Here you have a quite big restaurant for 2 or 3 stars. They were 17 the day I was there. It’s a little army and reaching this size you’re in a dilemma. More people, better service, because more for each table. But more people, more chance that something is forgotten or mixed up, like it almost did in my case. I have nothing but praise for the Maître d hôtel and how it was handled. It was just interesting for me to witness how scaling is hard for everyone (scaling in quantity and/or quality) regardless of the business you’re in.
The dress code/atmosphere: it’s a three stars baby! People make an effort.
The crowd: more relaxed than I thought. Seemed very local. I thought I’ll spot some tourist but I did not. I think they were a lot of clients that were there “just” for the food. A lot of couples obviously.
My experience: a masterclass on the ocean

#49th if you follow my Michelin Stars Marathon in Paris on googlemaps
Gossip girl with French politicians!
The interesting thing here is the crowd for week days lunches. I felt like in an episode of gossip girls but with French politicians instead of young girls. The restaurant is great, I’ll cover that later on. The sound is decent, there’s space between tables, you don’t hear conversations unless one person at the table is not discreet and a bit loud. That’s what happened. But that gave me a glimpse of the crowd: politicians, high rank civil servants, etc… showing off and name dropping. So let me just go right to the practical point here: for lunch, wear a suit. And you’re going to be amongst men so don’t worry of being fashionable, just wear a suit (edit or a nice shirt). You’ll be more out of place here if you don’t wear a suit than in La Tour d Argent!
So obviously, it’s perfect for business lunch. I guess it’s completely different for dinner.
Interestingly, the cuisine is not like the crowd. The cuisine is not about showing off, it’s all about the quality of the ingredients, all about respecting the classics. It’s a sea food restaurant, you’ll be treated with the best.
The waiters are extremely nice (really) but it’s the only étoilé I’ve been so far (over a hundred now) where we had close to no dish explanations (aside from one waiter). It’s sad because they were nice. But It’s the least dish explanation I’ve had so far in any étoilé. Never seen that ever.
Still, if you want a good fish with a Michelin star, it’s one of the few places in Paris to go to.
My experience: the quality of the fish blew me away, and I enjoyed the classics done to perfection
Update 2022: went back a year later. There were more casually dressed customers but it’s definitely a businessmen spot (felt a bit like a club where you have regular customers and guests).
They did improve on the dishes presentation, so you can strike my previous comment. They also improved the service with more finishing touches made in the room. I think there’s some slight improvement but I did not take exactly the same dishes as the last time. Also, you’ll appreciate the fact that there’s a card (instead of only a set of fixed menu).
Trivia: Helen is the common point between the 3 owners.
With all the little improvements, It’s a solid fish & sea food star.

Excellent chefs menu. Perfect wine pairing. 👍👍👍

It was worth to save and wait for this unique restaurant experience. What a treat - thanks to the entire crew in the restaurant and behind the scenes. The food, decor, personell, wine list and atmosphere are all at highest Michelin 3star level. This was an unforgettable joy and true privilege to experience.

Lovely fresh sea food

Very good quality seafood at a pretty reasonable price. We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed.

Good food good service good prices oh and good décor

Normal seaside cafe food OK,not too expensive, pizza, pasta, salads etc.

If you love seafood this is your place! I had the fish plate sharer but just for myself as my friend doesn’t like fish and it was amazing! Amazing setting and crazy but fun staff - highly recommend!!! Not sure if you can reserve but we just turned up and waited around 10 mins.

Good food at a reasonable price

Summary: 2 sehr gute Michelin Sterne und vielleicht auch mehr müsste man aber dann genauer testen
Would I go again: Yes
Ambiente: sehr modernes Restaurant mit tollen Blick über die Bucht
Service: sehr gut sehr geschult drei Sterne tauglich!
Highlights: Kabeljau Tatar! Hätten auch 3 Sterne sein können.

Two Michelin stars restaurant, so pretty hard to be disappointed. We went for the signature menu and everything was amazing. They adapted to our wishes. Great products, cooked in wonderful ways. I think we talked about it for one hour after leaving as we were really impressed – and it was not our first starred restaurant.
Staff was great and took good care of us. The atmosphere is pretty calm and the new decor is reminding of the ocean. Loved it.
You really should go if you're in you're in town.

Good

My wife and I ate at this restaurant several times during our visit to Royan. We enjoyed it each time
