Slow service, staff aren't the brightest or most helpful. Would rather use Amazon or other online services but needed printer ink in a hurry - of course item was out of stock and they only had the XL version for twice the price.

Curry’s as a whole has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced - no one ever wants to help or deal with anything. Had a problem with a gift card, was directed to customer services where the guy was complacent and dismissive. Told me to call customer services instead… you know, instead of having it dealt with… in person… right there and then. How could that possibly be a better solution!?!?!? He essentially just shrugged his shoulders at me and told me it wasn’t anyone’s problem in the shop. Truly unhelpful

About 3 staff in the whole shop. All of which are very rude and not helpful.
One staff member in trackies and a non uniform top walking around being the counter swearing.
Staff messing around whilst there are 20 people in the queue waiting.
Same in the Farnborough store, what has happened to this company? No wander online companies are thriving

Don’t visit if you are in a rush. All I wanted was a quick HDMI cable. Not a soul around to take my money!
They have a fair range of stock but very little in the way of service. Even a self service till would have been better.

On multiple occasions staff are never around to help, today I counted only 3 members of staff on the shop floor. No one seems to want to help you, one girl was sitting at a desk by the front door just chatting with other members of staff. My partner and other customers had been over to her to ask for assistance but we did not get any. If I was the manager of this store I would be embarrassed, PC world need more staff on the shop floor and tills. Only one person manning the returns till, no one working for Carphone Warehouse and nobody around to offer help. PC world have lost out on at least a £150 purchase today.

Completely baffled by this store. Groups of staff hanging around chatting at the back, but a queue of frustrated people at the front till, one chap doing his best ( not his fault). Two people in front of me gave up trying to pay, put their items back and walked out. I also gave up. Team at the back of the store couldn’t be bothered to help customers asking for help. Just vaguely pointed to location of items, went back to chatting. Manageress at the front should realise how many sales she is losing.

Recent reviews are correct. Worst customer service imaginable. Rude offhand staff who don't want to be there. Where is the management? It's a shame. Nice looking store. Good range of products. Insolent disrespectful employees.

Every time I come in here they never have anything in stock, not even the basics like a blue ray DVD player. Takes forever to find someone available and when someone is all they can tell me is that they are out of stock and would I like to order it to store and collect it. If I had wanted to have it ordered I would have done it at home by myself. This is the third time I have come into store and they don't have anything in stock that I want. I don't understand why they have such a huge store with nothing inside except displays, its getting quite embarrassing for you now. There is no point in returning to this store again for they have nothing in stock for me to purchase.

Bought an LG TV for a total of £2800. I was advised that I would also receive £150 worth of vouchers as there was a promotion. I would receive then online. Several weeks have passed and I’m still waiting for the vouchers. I also visited the store and was told I would receive them by the end of the week. Still no sign.
I called Currys advisors. They were as much use as a chocolate teapot. Passed from pillar to post. They were inept and clueless. Extremely poor after sales service. Avoid!!!!!!

Bought a laptop but it stopped connecting to the Internet less than 4 weeks after purchase tried online help who advised taking it to store for repair, the store staff initially tried to get us to send it off for repair but we refused and asked for a replacement, eventually they agreed to try a factory reset which seemed to have worked, they did the repair but with little enthusiasm. Still better service than an online purchase but not much without us standing our ground

For an electronics “Hub” their payment system seems archaic and slow. I have visited it on many occasions and there always seems to be a lack of staff available too just to ask a few questions. My guess is that within a few years this once high street chain will no longer be around…oh yes, and why is printer ink so expensive, it’s almost worth throwing your old printer away and buy a new printer with the ink in it. One good aspect is that you can take your old tech stuff there to be recycled.

To cut a long story short- I wanted an American fridge freezer, but wanted to ensure that I could have my larder fridge AND freezer taken away for recycling at the same time as the delivery. I used the webchat to ask if this was able to happen. They said 'yes, absolutely- Just add it twice to the collection option when ordering...I couldn't find this option, so rang the live chat to confirm how I do this, who cut me off whilst 'going to ask their supervisor for advice'. Back I go to webchat, who again reiterated that I could have both items collected, but would have to call customer services (which I had tried a number of times and got nowhere, but was told that it was the wrong number that I was using anyway, even though it is the one found all over the internet)... so I called the number that he suggested, who then told me that I couldn't have x2 collections on an order for x1 large item and that I'd need to either buy another large appliance...or BRING MY ITEM TO THE STORE MYSELF for them to recycle!
I decided to rock up to the store (empty handed! LOL) and speak to someone face to face, who could give me a straight forward, accurate answer for my situation.
Jacob was brilliant! He was sympathetic, understanding and helped to resolve the situation for me.
I'm now just waiting for it to be delivered/items collected for recycling!

The take away from this is:
-ALWAYS SAVE THE TRANSCRIPT(S)!
-Ordering in store provides a better customer experience
-No, they do not take away additional items as a rule, so their web advisors need more training!

Nothing you want is ever in stock if you just turn up, and when they did have something they couldn't find it in the warehouse and told me it was probably stolen. Same old story, being told by the staff you can order it online instead. You do realise that if everybody does this then they won't have a physical shop leading to your jobs being redundant! Staff very polite, but I get the impression that they don't have any knowledge on the products they are selling, questions about Dolby vision, HDR etc created some confused responses.

Absolutely horrific service or lack of I should say. I went to buy a new laptop and hoover this evening only to have all 5 staff members completely ignore me. No acknowledgement from anyone at all. All I could hear was the manager barking at staff 'I need someone on washing machines, I need someone on TVs" disgusting to hear the staff being spoken to like this. I walked out in the end and went to Kidderminster hoping for better but it was just as bad. AVOID BOTH
Repaired my Bluetooth speaker and chromebook at a reasonable price and in good time. Thanks.
I was also able to meet a couple of furry friends who were being groomed....bonus.
Definitely recommend, nice one guys

Brought in a 1983 old Amstrad Tower Hifi, as the tape decks and record player did not work. Within 2 days it was working perfectly and sounds as good as an Amstrad Hi Fi could ever sound. Now I have a proper retro piece of kit. Great communication through email and phone and good price for the work done , very happy. If you want a record and tape decks belt changing for old retro audio, this is the place .

Good afternoon, wanted to reach out to you and complaint about your service. We ordered in store a phone Galaxy S23 a month ago, when you had a Black Friday and still have nothing. Neither phone nor refund. That was supposed to be a gift for our son for Christmas and now not a single person contacted us and has given us an update. The store claims it was lost in transit. If we can’t have the phone, then PLEASE simply refund us!

Great i thought! Got home and checked my reciept to find i could have just bought what i wanted and saved £20.00 .i didnt even get all the extras that are on the receipt!!

I took my Macbook Pro to change the battery. Had spoken to Ahmed to order it. The battery arrived later than I was told to start with, but that was OK, I didn't mind. The chap took the computer in, didn't check it at all and gave me only a visa receipt, no proper receipt. Told me it would be about an hour. Went back to collect and the door was locked with one of those "back in few minutes" signs. SO I had to pay to extend the car parking and come back after a while longer.
I took the computer home and followed the instructions to charge the battery overnight, but it was fully charged on about 3 hours.
Turned it on and noticed the keyboard and trackpad did not work.
I called them up and they said to bring it in the next day which was Saturday and I went in about 10.30am.
When I went back to collect the computer, I was told there was a fault as the keypad was not not working. I suggested few times that the trackpad ribbon flex cable might either be not connected properly or been damaged whilst the battery was being changed. He would not listen and belittled me with stating he had "been doing this for 15 years". I found his lack of knowledge about the computer shocking as he said if the cable was faulty, why did the power button work - even I know as a non-technical person that the power key can still function!
He suggested I left the computer with him for a week so he can "investigate" the problem. I insisted it would be the cable, but he would not listen. I certainly was not going to leave the computer for a week! Or make another trip the folowing Saturday for someone else "to look at it".
He wanted to complicate this by involving a "Mac" expert!
I totally lost my confidence!
When I got home, I ordered a trackpad cable for £5.89 from Amazon and a screwdriver (P5) for £3.99 and with a Youtube video's aid, changed the cable in 10 minutes flat!
The computer keyboard and tackpad worked straight away!
I gave one star, but really would not have given any. Cost me 2 trips, parking and time and stressed me as I have some important work on the computer. Above all, he was arrogant and thought he knew best! If only he had listened, he would have sorted this on 5 minutes flat and I would have been happy. I would not have minded paying him for the cable too as I did point out to him that the early 2015 computer was notorious for this very problem - TWICE!
Also, used a cheap battery and when I asked if this had a feature of Automatic thermal, overload cut-off, he said batteries don't have that!! Really!! He will find many of these on Amazon!! Joke!
If I'd taken his advice, I would have tomorrow been spending more time and money!
Anyway, I'll not be going to Techno Zone again, or recommending them to anyone.
I would not trust their technical knowledge and the customer service was very poor.

A terrible place to be.
No professionalism.
No technical skills
Kept asking same question back to the customers asking him.
Couldn't fix my laptop and couldn't even cover the screw well and further spoilt it

I think the best is just walk and buy a part anything technical they score 0
The best for servicing & repairing modern or vintage musical equipment - I would trust them with anything.

Very helpful and professional service.

My wife and I are aged80 +. We have just been to Curry's Peel Centre, Stockport and because of the arrogant ignorant attitude of the 3 people on the Service desk today 19/7/23 , we have decided not to visit your store ever again ! They were more interested in talking about their holiday and were VERY nasty when my wife tried to interrupt them by saying those horrible words " excuse me please". Those 3 employee need to be dismissed or Re-trained to learn Respect to potential customers, Especially Elderly folk like us. You most likely wont care , but we will buy a vacuum cleaner from a more caring store now !!!

The website says they have something in stock, they then have the item on the shelf, wait 10 minutes to be told they have got it in stock. Paid for parking as well just to be told no. I understand if they were busy, but easily had 20 people stood around chatting doing nothing, and people wonder why people shop online.
Great service from GSE! The power supply to my sE ICIS valve mic failed, and Iain went out of his way to source and then modify another sE power supply so as to save one of my most used mics. Absolutely first rate attention and result. Many thanks!

Useless staff who I had to get attention whilst on his phone couldn’t tell me which Apple Watch was which, then struggled the get onto the settings on the Apple Watch to tell me the series and the screen size. After 5 minutes I just asked him to get me the watch I thought was best from reading the info paper (which was more useful) . 5 minutes later he comes out with the right watch surprisingly. As I ask to pay and do the tech now pay later scheme he looks at his watch and says that takes 10 minutes, so say okay that’s fine i don’t mind waiting 10 minutes. Which he follows with the store closes in 5 minutes and said I have to come back tomorrow. Never known a salesman who doesn’t want to make a sale, I will not be coming back tomorrow mate

It’s been twice now that this place had lost my business. The first time I went in looking to buy a £1000+ gaming laptop, literally with cash in hand about to buy: the staff asked me to wait whilst he’s serving another customer (which is fine), but they ended up chitchatting for 20+ minutes without him even think to send one of his colleagues to grab the product…whilst I STOOD THERE and waited the whole time.

Few months later, I went in again wanting to buy the same laptop. Took me ages to grab one of the staff’s attention (he was chatting with his colleague and not working). When I asked the most basic questions about the item, the staff had to Google Curry’s own website to tell me the model and the price???

At this point what do you need the staff for? Might as well fire them all and replace them with self checkouts as those machines are more useful than they are.

Staff are very helpfull and always take their time explaining products. I have had a positive experience every time I have come here to purchase my electronic goods. They are quick and easy with the returns process and have great deals for insurance, I've never had to use it yet luckily but I haven't found better prices for goods elsewhere yet.

Went in to look for a basic microwave. The item we chose wasn't in stock and all the rest were ridiculous prices. I refuse to be railroaded in to paying three times more for a microwave oven that has features I will never use. I eventually found exactly what I wanted on Amazon with next day delivery.

Just went into the shop on the 14th of March. In the morning, the guy serving couldn’t care found him quite dismissive o
to the point of being quite arrogant. I wanted to just know if he was interested in buying my Samsung TV which was in perfect condition as I bought another bigger TV. There’s ways of dealing with people, which this guy needs a lot to learn !!!!! Politeness leaves. Good reviews rudeness leaves this kind of review work out which one is best!!!!

Fantastic, exactly what I needed. Managed to carry out a modification I needed on a circuit board for my guitar on the spot and for a very good price. I'm very happy, will absolutely recommend and will return for any other electrical needs I have. Also very knowledgeable on guitar equipment which is always good to know as how many places won't touch such specialist equipment such as guitar amplifiers or intricate effect pedals.

Have had two really good experiences now with repairs by Electronic services. Both times the repairs were on products that needed parts that were either in short supply or no longer available, but they were able to find a solution. My first repair was in 2020 and is still going strong with almost daily use and the second was a couple of weeks ago and is also working very well. The price for the repairs was very reasonable and the quote and repair turn arounds were very quick. Definitly recommend Electronic services for consumer A/V repairs (haven't had anything else repaired by Electronic Services, so can't comment on anything else).
Second time I’ve used GSE. Fixed and improved both of my dj mixers ( Rane/Vestax) over the past few years. Great service and great rates.
Ian fix my str8 60 stanton turntables. Both deck had bad grounding so a lot of feed back though speakers.

I asked Ian to put in a phono input to alimate the need
For the phono, ground cable that the decks came with.

Great job Ian a top guy. Highly recommended.

I had a new keyboard fitted in to my MacBook Air because the current keyboard was failing. Very friendly people, installed the new keyboard in a matter of days and at a very good price. It is so nice to have a shop like this in our high street. Thank you for a good service.
Iain not only fixed my Bose PA but was very helpful in every way. Thanks so much. If I ever need anything fixing I now know where to bring it. Genius.
Had a repair done to a Mackie 32 Chanel Desk PSU. Fault found & Fixed very quickly indeed. Back ASAP with my other 24 Chanel desk PSU, Reasonable Prices. Have taken other bits and pieces to Amp repairers in town and have been turned away a few times...Ian’s Glasgow Studio Electronic Repairs are now first choice.
100% Highly Recommended.

Iain is a technical genius.

Repaired old stage monitors, bringing them back to life, a Marshall guitar amp and Roland RD700 stage piano. Take note - This particular Stage piano had been too 2 different specialists who could not repair it - problems included EQ knobs not working, Volume cut outs and ground buzzing.

Iain was then able to quickly diagnose the issues and repair within a quick time. Iain was then able to talk me over what could have caused the breakages with expert knowledge.

Will certainly be back with any more repair work in future.
