Clean, quiet, organised square.
We got a bit lost. The actual building is gorgeous and the views up top on the 39th floor reminds me why I love London. You know the views and street levels are completely different .. loved it

What fascinates me about this location is its unique contrast compared to other areas of East London; it holds a hidden beauty. The presence of numerous skyscrapers and substantial investments adds to its allure. Whenever I visit, I can't help but feel a sense of affluence and prosperity.

The event I went to was about the community grant to support local projects in three categories. 1. Education 2. Employment 3. Biodiversity

There were comfy chairs and sofas in L39, which I believe is a type of co-working space/cafe/lounge for employers to chill and relax as well as an event space.

Nice toilets
Konnte mich beim Regen unterstellen, größer als ich dachte.

So glad we walked up here - such a good little walk (we only went about 20 mins up but I understand it connects to much longer paths). The weather was pretty awful but definitely still worth a look! You get a good view of the castle as well as seeing a bunch of sheep. Very House of the Dragon vibes as well!

Approaching the holiday season, the Christmas tree design at One Canada Square is truly beautiful, especially with the lovely details on the trees. Every time I walk past it, it makes me smile, warms my heart, and fills me with joy. Thank you so much.🥰🎶🎄
Big Ben the tower clock is a true London icon. He is always reliable and accurate, and his chimes are a comforting sound that echoes through the city. I love seeing him illuminated at night, and he is always a popular photo spot for tourists. Big Ben's service, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish timepiece.

A very large bell. And it does not ring. Worth seeing as part of a visit to the Olympic park.
We had one night layover in London, before heading back to the US. The clock tower was closed but we had plenty of nice photos form outside at night.

one of the highest views in London with panoramic views, treat yourself while you're up there to drinks and food? ..... the cakes looked great. they should have been covered though as they would have been a bit more appealing to eat ..

After spending time at the Tower of London, I walked across the Tower Bridge to the Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe, where I ended up having dinner at GONG on the 52nd floor.

Someone had advised me have dinner at the Shard instead of going on the London Eye. Great idea. There is a strict dress code to be able to reserve a table at any of the restaurants inside the Shard. Also, I had to go through airport-like security. I was wearing a midi length sleeveless dress which can look formal. Yes, I was walking through the city in 90 degree humid weather in this dress all day. Gorgeous views of London from inside the Shard. I would like to go back for afternoon tea.

Went to the Hutong Chinese restaurant in the shard. Beautiful food from the Lotus set menu & went for the Wine pairing.

Would definitely go back. I have added a few cheeky photos below.

On floor 33 of the shard you can see right across the London Skyline. There is a discretionary 15% service charge added to the bill; which you can ask to be removed. This wasn't the case for me they deserved every penny of it.

Beautiful restaurant. Beautiful food. Beautiful view.

What a fantastic day we had here. So much to see and do. The white tower was breath taking and the crown jewels well worth a visit. We love history as a family and this was an amazing day out. We didn't get to see it all so will be returning in the near future.

YOU SHOULD GO THERE AT NIGHT! If you go in the morning in my opinion it's wasted money but if you go in the evening you can probably have the best view of London. It's not cheap, because it's 40£, (+16£ if you add a cup of champagne) but I leave the photo here so you can see for yourself! Ahhh don't say this to anyone...I really think you have to go in the toilet, it will probably be the best moment 😉, the view is amazing!

It is a great experience that nearly requires a day to explore the tower grounds. There is so much to see, do, and learn.
The crown jewels, the ravens, the moat, and the Amory. The history here is so rich. It is more like a castle.

We spent 4 hours here today and really enjoyed ourselves. We got the audio guides as well, which gave a bit more detail and saved some of the reading. It's a significant place in history and is a must to when visiting the city. Bring comfortable footwear and be prepared for stairs.

Is it super expensive? YES. Is it all it's hyped up to be? Also yes, provided you go on a day with good weather. Everything up there is as fancy as you expect, with prices to match, but still a worthwhile experience if you're visiting London.

After reading some horror stories about the wait times at the London Eye & a recommendation from a friend, I took my kids here instead. We booked the first scheduled entry time, so we went up at opening time.

The views were SPECTACULAR & the staff (particularly Chris, the London expert) were all lovely.

No regrets choosing The Shard over the Eye.

Visited The Tower of London yesterday for the first time, we had bees by on numerous occasions but never been inside. Overall it was an excellent experience, the guided tours are brilliant and the history is everywhere. The was a queue to see the Crown Jewels but it went down really quickly so only took about 15mins. We used our city passes to get in which we’re worth getting as they allow you into loads of attractions once you purchase the passes. We had a busy day planned so only spent about 2 hours inside the tower. I think to see everything thoroughly you need to allow a good 4 hours. Will definitely visit again when we have more time to explore.

Wow, amazing view you get from the top. It's very easily accessible, you get 2 lifts which takes you almost to the top and either one more or stairs to get right to the top. There are 2 bars and you can get food and icecream, cakes at the top. These are all very expensive as you would expect! Weekdays are the best time to visit.

Great views! We stopped at the restaurant bar for a coffee. A lot of people were getting the afternoon tea which looked great, would recommend that for an experience.
Ny experience was so so though as I asked for an iced coffee with no milk and it took around 4 servers to figure it out for some reason. Huddled together talking and looking at me then I even got asked by one if I wanted an espresso with an ice cube in it 😅😅 luckily there was one barman who knew what he was doing and made me a nice iced coffee so hats off to him👍

Tower of London

Located: EC1

We loved the Tower of London , has such an interesting history from once being a prison to a Palace and place of execution. Hand built it is absolutely stunning , you can feel the history of London on the grounds.

Light lunch available outside and wheelchair access is limited. There are a large number of steps in the Tower with cobbles pathways and low door ways. Toilets on site.

Must visit 5*****
This is my number one place to visit in London. To be able to walk in and amongst these historical buildings is an experience you should not miss. To do this sore justice you should plan on spending half a day here. There is a cafeteria where they have good food. Don't forget to visit the ravens!

A Breathtaking Experience at The Shard, London

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the pleasure of visiting The Shard in London this past Friday, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. The Shard, with its iconic, glass-clad pyramidal tower, is a sight to behold from the ground. But the real magic happens when you ascend to its viewing platform.

The view from The Shard is nothing short of spectacular. The 360-degree, panoramic view of London is breathtaking. From the bustling streets of the city to the winding Thames River, the view encapsulates the heart and soul of London in a way no other viewpoint can. It's a sight that truly makes you appreciate the beauty and scale of the city.

But what truly sets The Shard apart is not just its view, but also its service. The staff were courteous and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. They were quick to answer questions and cater to needs, making sure that every moment spent at The Shard was comfortable and enjoyable.

In conclusion, a visit to The Shard is more than just a tourist activity; it's an experience that leaves you with a newfound appreciation for London. Whether you're a local or a tourist, I highly recommend making the trip up this iconic building for an unforgettable view and exceptional service.

Amazing tourist attraction of this wonderful place,it is one of the most visited places nowadays since the Royal Jewels are guarded here. The Royal jewels are amazingly displayed, and the history of them is well explained all along the place. Big queue for the Crown Jewels once you got inside the Tower, but well worth the wait. I suggest everything try to come early in the morning around the 8:30 slot. It will not be crowded at that time. There are lots of things to see inside the tower. The Cafe inside is a great place to take relief. The exit is beside the Thames with awesome views of Tower Bridge.
We thought it will take 2-3 hours but we spend almost 5 hrs. The fortress is maintained properly. The audio guide helps you a lot when you are in. The Ammunition department is amazing.
I will definitely come back to visit them again whenever possible.

A lot in the towers are replicas or facsimiles, but it's still cool to see the history. They did a good job providing examples of how things would have looked with metal figures and similar things. The crown jewels are is pretty elaborate and extensive. Much more so than Scotland. Make sure to visit the Armory to see the history of the armor worn by both kings and military.
One of my favourite spots around Plymouth. The archetypally romantic. You can almost hear the love poems flowing out of the old stones.

Visited the Tower including the Crown Jewels for a private event. It was closed to the general public so there were no queues. You cannot take photos inside, the displays are good and you have large screens display information about some of the history of the jewels. There are several sections inside, the rooms are dimly lit but the displays were nice and bright. Lots of history items of jewellery, arbour and of course replicas of the many crowns and jewels. There are public toilets and a conference room inside with lift access.

Whenever in London I will always make an effort to go up the Shard. The views are amazing just make sure you go when the weather is clear and you will be able to see for miles. Two levels you can explore. The enclosed level offers 360 degree views and somewhere to buy drinks alcoholic and coffee etc. Although don't expect it to be cheap. The upper level again offers 360 degree views and it's also open to the elements. Very exciting.

A very majestic building that represents the iconic historical buildings of Britain.

We had a long transit in London and decided to go out for a walk. We left our luggage at the terminal lounge and took the train out to the Big Ben. From airport Terminal 5 we headed to Bond street station then changed to Jubilee line, get off at west minister station walked approximately 5 mins and was greeted with a wowing view of the Big Ben !! It is definitely worth visiting this beautiful architecture.

If you are thinking of seeing London from up high, you will not regret go to the Shard. We booked our tickets in advance and we skipped the long queue. It’s the highest building and the view is breathtaking. Not to mention if you stay for a bit and will catch the talk about bridges in London and the Thames. It’s really fun and informative. It is advisable to take the guided tour as the guide really knows his stuff and gives you some great insights into the history of the place and also gives good advice on what to visit next as the place is a really big place. You really need at least 4 to 5 hours to see the place properly and to learn about the history of the place and to take some lovely pictures. Well worth a visit.

Excellent monument located alongside other sights including Buckingham Palace.

Lived in dorset all my life and at the grand age of 38 I had only just found out about this place. Just had to visit it and what an amazing place to visit, certainly didn't feel like I was in dorset anymore. Really was worth the effort.
Stunning place, no wonder why it has been selected for films (house of the dragon). It is a easy/ medium hike. The view from the top and the castle is mind-blowing. Great spot.
The village at the bottom is simply charming!

A stunning location to walk in, I went downhill as I was doing a circular walk from my campsite at the top of Winnats Pass. Please make sure you wear appropriate footwear, due to the ground you’re walking on. As you can see from the pics, it’s not the easiest of surfaces for a stretch of it (I did see someone wearing walking sandals-great for flat level ground but not when they give you no ankle support whatsoever). Next time I’ll attempt to go up (I prefer walking uphill!). Being part mountain goat may help you haha, unless you’re bonkers and ride your bike down it…😬
One of the best views to visit for and the city skyline is just awesome 👍

Admission was a little steep but totally worth it. We paid under £30 per person, but it varies by date and what website you purchase through. We bought tickets in person and not in advance.

As soon as we walked in there was a beefeater starting a complimentary tour. He was very funny and informative, and explain the history of the castle and the surrounding areas with a lot of detail given to the history of executions here.

There is also an audio tour available at an additional cost.

We left his tour to go explore by ourselves and we saw the king's Chambers which were fascinating and included a marker in the chapel where King Henry VI was assassinated. Awesome. There were active guards marching around who still live inside the castle.

Actors were doing a play in the courtyard by the White Tower. There were plenty of bathrooms and a couple of cool gift shops.

You could easily spend three or more hours here.

As with most attractions in the city, parking could be a problem but we did not have a car.
Big Ben is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and a symbol of the city's history and heritage. No trip to London is complete without admiring this beauty! There are so many different angles where you can take photos of Big Ben and the best time to visit is either sunrise or sunset.
*Big Ben was under construction for a few years but they have finished it and you can fully view it now.

Well, it's a huge sandstone rock plonked in the middle of nowhere! It is quite a thing to see, so it's worth walking to. We cycled to it, and the tracks were OK for mountain bikes. We met a couple there who slept there overnight, wild camping, it's that sort of place. It's on a slightly raised bit of ground, so the views are decent, and you can see back to the coast line. Some people climb the rock... whatever floats your boat. It was a dry, sunny day when we saw it, I wouldn't recommend going on a rainy day because it's quite exposed out there, so you'll be like a drowned rat staring at a big rock, wondering why you didn't just wait for a dry day to visit it.

To appreciate the location better, take the path up from the rock onto the golf course. There are a couple of seats on the tees which give a chance to sit and admire the distant views to Poole Harbour, Studland, Poole bay to Hengistbury Head and across to the Isle of Wight.
Be warned that the paths are not easy and can be steep so be prepared with walking boots and some sustenance.
But the effort will be well worth it on a nice sunny day.

The Shard is absolutely stunning and high class! We bought passes via London Pass which definitely helped with the cost of admission. From start to finish, the experience was well run and smooth. There are two floors to experience; one indoor and one exposed. Both feature a classy bar with light food. As expected, the views were absolutely amazing.

This collapsed on one side back in the 70s.
Before the collapse, it was known as the Devil's Anvil. Google some photos.

Nonetheless, this huge rock perched atop of a hill overlooking Studland is very cool. It's now at a steep angle, so almost everyone who visits climbs it. Why not, it's fun.

There are set out paths to the rock, so take them. If you go over the fields you'll encounter marsh and water logged spongy ground in areas.
Great walk, very peaceful.. well worth a visit.. you can bring your dog, which is a bonus

Visited as part of a nice 6 mile loop from Studland. The rock is on a little mound in the middle of some boggy heathland - it looks entirely out of place and interestingly there is little information to explain how it might have formed. However, it was a lovely little picnic stop on a warm afternoon to sit and admire the oddities of nature and to enjoy the views. Not the easiest walk to get to if walking in from Studland as some rough steps have been built to address soil erosion which can be a bit steep and uneven, but it is worth the effort if you can make it.

From this vantage point you can see the powerful display of the :shrouds of the somme : now able to put numbers into context.
One of my favourite places in Cornwall. Formal gardens, sea views, wooded walks and all free entry (payment for house and house gardens). This is a full day out for all the family and is even better on one of their special event days.

It'd a pretty cool monument but the park and house grounds in general are amazing.

Its an obelisk that has had to replace the base carving with a fibre-glass copy. Why? Because Chiswick Community School is next door and they HAVE to vandalise everything they don't understand - which is pretty much everything they come across.
