AVOID I suspect it's a money laundering scam. The bookings are deliberately incorrect to put you off balance and con you out of more money.

Then a bank transfer security deposit is asked for that you're never going to see again...

Please do yourself a favour and book elsewhere...
DO NOT BOOK
They have the worst service and they don’t refund if you want to cancell
The worst Hotel of London donttt Book.
SCAM
DO NOT USE THIS PROPERTY!

I would mark is 0 stars if I could.

The company cancel on you and take your money!
Was meant to visit this place last week, but over rules that they made up
Example- no ID for a 16 year old, also wasn't allowed to stay there due to not being the parent!

These people are scammers!
DO NOT USE!!!

I hope my money can be used to help your customer services!
A lesson learnt for myself!
DO. NOT. BOOK.

The apartment has terrible amenities falling apart, chairs that fell apart when sat on, showers with no hook to enable you to take a comfortable shower, toilet roll holders drop off the wall and not even working WiFi.

The team are UTTERLY INEPT in their roles. The apartment was SO BAD I asked to leave and was told I would be refunded but nothing came, even the £500 deposit took 3 weeks to be returned (laughingly this is in case anything is broken. Which. When so much is broken is the very definition of irony)

On booking you’re blitzed with a dozen emails and phone calls and made to feel like you’re out to destroy their apartment (again IRONY) and each mail and call is ruder and ruder.

Eventually while outside the apartment I was asked to call back at 2:30 to get the access code - when I pointed out that actually the time was already 2:40 the person just put the phone down.

Moronic is a word that sits closely next to ironic for both the team and and the state of the apartment.

The management team are BEYOND rude and honestly I doubt have ever worked in service, or anywhere else they could come into contact with people.
By far the worst costumer service ever the the lady on the phone or should i say scumbag , totally disrespectfull and does not offer any help what so ever , people like this do not deserve jobs , if you don't like your job you should just quit some one needs to contact the some one about there costumer service terrible not even worth a star 👎👎👎👎👎👎
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER FACED!!! STAY FARR FARRR FARRRR AWAY!!!!

AS YOU CAN SEE ONCE YOU MAKE A BOOKING, THEY SEND YOU A MESSAGE ON BOOKING.COM AND STATE LEAD GUEST MUST BE PRESENT, FOLLOWED BY YOU MUST FOLLOW OUR 25+ AGE POLICY! IT DOES NOT STATE "ALL GUESTS"

MY BOOKING HAS BEEN CANCELLED ON THE DAY!!! A FEW HOURS BEFORE CHECK IN! THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE, THEY OFFER NO REFUNDS FOR THIS STUPIDITY! I WOULD NOT EVEN OFFER THESE GUYS 1 STAR!! PLEASE EVERYBODY STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND DO NOT BOOK!! YOU WILL BE LET DOWN!

CHELSEA BRIDGE APARTMENTS ARE FAR FAR BETTER THAN THESE GUYS! PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE!

YOU GUYS ARE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE AND I AM DISGUSTED AS SUCH BEHAVIOUR!
1 star is too much. DONT NOT USE THIS SUPPLIER.
After arriving in London along with 2 children I got to the apartment to find it had not been cleaned since the last guests had left. This is in the middle of a pandemic. There were dirty sheets on the bed, drinks on side tables, bins full of rubbish, dirty crockery in kitchen, cigarette butts all over the balcony area.
I called the customer service number to be told it wasnt an emergency and to then be disconnected. I had no choice but to leave for the safety of myself and children. By this point we have been travelling for hours and it is now dark and cold ( Early January )
A representative from the apartment called me at 9.45pm that evening, spoke to me a very condescending tone and wanted to know why I had cancelled my stay. She was very rude and the only offer was that we could go back and stay the following night. By this point I had already had to book a new hotel and after the way I had been spoken to I did not want to go back for that reason either.
Very unprofessional. Since then I have had to make several emails and calls to chase up the £300 rental fee AND £500 damage deposit which still hasnt been returned, 17 days after our visit.
To add insult to injury, the apartment told Booking.com that they had checked the apartment and that it was fine. So apparently Im a liar too. I will let you decide after looking at the images. Devastated. Disappointed and out of pocket. And of course the apartment offered no means of compensation. Whats a surprise. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Worst service ever. Came over after 2 hours traveling from another city and they could not find our booking. The man who sits in reception refused to talk to us or even try to resolve the matter. He said no rooms available even though we booked for two nights. Very rood staff. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

BED BUGS!! Our room was literally crawling in bed bugs and the hotel staff didn't care! The most shockingly bad hotel experience I've ever had. Our 13 year old daughter and myself are covered in bed bug bites. Also, read through the other reviews and you will see that the owners regularly cancel peoples rooms at the last minute and then give the room to someone else charging them more money. They tried to do this scam with us too- cancelled our booking saying it was a 'mistake'. It's obviously no mistake. The hotel needs fumigating to get rid of the infestation- but I doubt the owners will bother. We have reported them to Environmental Health and will be expecting compensation for the bed bug bites we got. I implore you not to stay here- I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the ordeal we did. One of the most horrible nights of our lives.

We stayed here recently and all seemed fine until we went to bed and turned out the lights. It was then that we discovered we were sharing our room with hundreds of others! The room was infested with bedbugs and they were everywhere, in the bed, on the blinds, up the walls and on the floor. After quite some time we managed to contact the owners who, quite honestly, didn't seem interested or cared. We left as there was no other option and will now be putting in an invoice for drycleaning, car fumigation, damages for the bites we received and a refund for the hotel bill. We have also notified the local council. Please don't put yourselves through such a ghastly nightmare.

As with others, booking made months ago, I get a message saying card declined. Check with bank, no issues. Tried to contact hotel. Get hung up on and then get a message saying booking cancelled. Won't reply to messages. Wonder if it's got anything to do with the London marathon being on that weekend and them being able to charge more 🤔. Wouldn't recommend taking the risk.

Booked for London marathon 3 months prior and cancelled 1 week before with no explanation. I checked and they have advertised the room for £1.4K for the Saturday night. Absolute crooks and now hung up on me when I asked them to explain and won’t return emails AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Others have already pointed out the horrendously malevolent customer service, here is to add to that: I am a frequent traveller, and had made my reservation well in advance. While on the train, on our way into London, a message was sent that the credit card details supplied could not be used... Changed that twice, there were sufficient funds on both, until they stopped complaining. Then they found me on WhatsApp! While still on the train. If some documents could be sent over, to complete the booking process, and to check in. As I was in the process of finding those, the message came in that my booking had been cancelled! For us to quickly find an alternative.

So if having last-minute nasty surprises while travelling into London is your cup of tea, this hotel is perfect for you! Guaranteed. If you get involved with them, do make sure you have a CLEAR PLAN B in case they feel like cancelling your reservation. And turn WhatsApp off, since normally you want a calm travel without new demands or nastiness coming in.

Perhaps better yet: avoid Simple Stay Greenwich altogether since the risk is too great. Different accommodation will be just as nice and is a much safer bet. You Have Been Warned, not just by this review, but other ones as well.

Booked via Booking.com. Extremely good value . They upgraded me to one huge bedroom with the most spacious bathroom . There are tea coffee making facilities fridge and microwave. Staffs excellent . The only drawback is that priced at £20 per nite it attracts undesirable clienteles . I don't think they really screen their guests. The lady beside my room was playing extremely loud music and argued with the staff when being told to quite jgn down. The staff kindly offered a different room but I have had it and left my 4 nights stay after only one nite . A real shame .

A shockingly bad customer service experience that left me in a financially uncomfortable situation.

I had booked on 2/1/21 via Booking.com a 10-days stay at Simple Stay to start on the 16/1/21, after reading great reviews.

On the 16th I travelled from abroad, plane+train+tube+DLR and arrived in the evening after a long day of commute at Woolwich Arsenal station. I could not find the hotel, so I called reception to find directions. The gentleman on the phone asked for my reservation name, which I gave but he could not find my booking.

He then asked me if I had checked my emails, so I did and to my surprise I found an email sent an hour before saying that Simple Stay had cancelled my booking because the hotel was unable to check my card details. This email was indeed following a couple of emails saying that the hotel was asking me to check my details. I explained that I was on the plane then on tubes with no network so I could not see any emails.

I was a bit stressed, alone on the street in the evening with heavy luggage having to find accommodation for the night. The gentleman would not let me come to the hotel to try and find a solution, and pressed me to try and rebook online, and of course blamed it on Booking several times. The hotel was already fully booked for the same night (which of course the man would not tell me on the phone, and which is quite surprising giving this time of pandemic and very limited authorised travel) so I had to find another solution.

I ended up travelling to another hotel for 3 days, then another hotel, both more expensive and with less amenities than what I would have had at Simple Stay.

While I understand the necessity of checking card details, 2 things bothered me most:
- Not getting a phone call/voicemail, but just emails (which is not as handy giving the urgency of the situation)
- Waiting at the freaking last minute to contact me, even though I had booked 2 weeks in advance!!

I’ve exchanged several heated emails with Booking, which would just irrelevantly hide behind processes and “Computer says no” excuses, and would address half of my concerns. However, in the end, I managed to get the last digit of the card allegedly ‘uncheckable’, and it’s the card I’ve been using for a couple years for booking on the site! I actually prebooked my stay with this card.

So in the meantime, I sent a couple of messages through the Booking app to Simple Stay, which still remain unanswered to this day. I called them 3 times in two days to check together the details of the card they try to check, was promised a call back which never occurred (last call was yesterday).

If I indeed entered card info wrong then fine (even though this does not excuse the wait at the last minute to ask me to change them). But both organisations behaviour just comfort me into thinking that there’s been a mistake done either by Booking or Simple Stay, but no one is willing to admit/respond, to avoid giving any type of compensation.

Confirmation emails and partner policies regarding timing of credit card details check that I had a look at on Booking’s website are something that should be looked at and reviewed.

While I’m not looking for trouble, being deliberately ignored like this since a few days makes it now a matter of principle for me to get to the bottom of this and understand what happened.

Obviously, I would not expect anyone to respond on here either, but this will not stop me.
The apartment is awesome and fully furnished with standard furniture and kitchen utensils. Their management are just click away. While NETFLIX is there
They canceled my booking without warning. Do not take them!

Beautiful building and garden
I visited my best friend who is also disabled living in these appointment. She was offered the property by her local authority because her private rented accommodation wasn’t suitable for her. I wished I was housed into a safer property like hers. She has asthma, osteoporosis and have survived Brest cancer she also have angina. I also have asthma and the property I live in under Newham Council is a danger to my health at the property is riddled in damp and black mould which as impinged on mine and my 12 years old son health.

Enough about me, the appointments are beautiful, easy access for disabled people and doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. The apartments are very close to catford, Lewisham and Peckham plus easy access to public transport and shops schools and all other amenities. Miss living in south London hopefully I could move back in the future but into a property that is safe for mine and my families health.
I felt at home away from home. An exquisitely furnished apartment in a secure neighborhood with shopping amenities nearby and reliable transport options. I highly recommend.
Nice apartments, but no free parking available
It’s home away from home. Customer service is top notch 👌
Lola makes you feel like you are a King.Apartment excellently neat. She provides beyond expectation. We will always come again
