My husband and I visited the birch on Saturday 14th October. It was our 51st wedding anniversary we had been to the birch on many occasions so thought it was a good idea celebrate there. When we got there we was fully expecting to be seated in the restaurant, instead we was given a table for 2 in the bar we asked to be moved to the restaurant and was told it was fully booked no one called us to say it was fully booked that evening.We waited for around 15min to be asked if we would like a drink felt as if we had been forgotten. We ordered our food which wasn't that great either we didn't have a sweet as I just wanted to go home. We asked the barmaid for the bill which showed a 10% surcharge which that was fine no problem the bill came to £78 we gave her £80 then she asked us if we wanted the change of course we said yes as we was paying the surcharge thought that was a cheek.
If I wanted a bar meal I would have gone to the local pub we paid restaurant prices to be sat in a bar.
Moral of this experience is check where you are sitting before you go. We won't be going back in a hurry.

This place was awesome! The cheeses on the charcuteries plate were so good. Such great snacks before the main meal. They had a great chef in the kitchen with excellent recipes. They were also very friendly and helpful staff. We have a 1 year old and they were very kind and understanding and even offered him some little cookies to help him settle down when he was upset. Really enjoyed going to this place and the prices were great too!

I booked in advance for table of two, but unfortunately had to postpone my reservation. The restaurant was happy to accommodate.

We had a fabulous time here as our first visit, our waiter - Erik - showed us great hospitality and recommended delicious food. He was very professional and was patient with our questions. We ordered all his recommendations and I have to say, it was amazing.

We will definitely be visiting again, thanks to Erik and staff to making us feel welcomed!

Everything you should expect in a five stars restaurant. A pity they don't serve individual portions of Wellington, but that's the norm on these places.
The Grouse is highly recommend, easily the best dish in my London stay.

Lovely meal probably the best we have had all week whilst on holiday in bath & in great location. The price is not too bad either. The only thing we said was a negative is that the staff were not overly welcoming just lacked a bit of customer service with a smile for us.

Lovely place to share dishes for dinner. Great food, nice atmosphere, and the woman serving us were very helpful. Finished the dinner with a "Spanish Baileys". Would recommend!

Really good place for a lunch or dinner! I tried the vegetarian dishes, though limited choice on the menu tasted incredible!
Our host was knowledgable about all the wines and shared extensive details for many of the bottles.
I love their cheese room - you can pick which cheeses you’d like for your dessert! A different and fun experience.
I look forward to my next visit.

We went for some tapas and drinks on a Monday night. We must have gotten there at the busiest time, but we got seated at the bar which was not bad. The wait staff seemed to be stretched a bit thin, but we got everything we asked for. The Spanish tortilla was tasty (and very filling) and the razor clams were delicious as well. Drinks were fine.

This is a lovely place for a semi informal dinner with friends or perhaps colleagues. The food is excellent. The service is fantastic and if you like your wines there is plenty to choose from.

It is slightly on the pricey side, but in my opinion worth it.

Most of the food are very tasty. Main was salty for us, but still enjoyed the flavor.
Sorbet was lovely. Hope they will have chocolate dessert in future.

Old Peculiar on tap £3.80. The food selection was pub grub. Unpretentious.
It had more of a pub feel to it, than a restaurant that sells beer. I paid
£14 for three taster plates. Probably a little more expensive than a main course, but enjoyable. Their spicy chicken wings were fiery. Southern fried chicken goujons and chicken tikka pieces. It was a proper pub.

Travelling up and down on the Grand Union, we stopped at the Galleon several times. Staff always warm and friendly, water for our dog before we asked, and the best fish and chips we've had in a while... crispy and hot to the end. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

Really nice canal side pub. Bar man was really lovely. Good food and reasonable price. Things were missing from my meal and not replaced by something else or charged less (bread and butter and curry)

Although I have known of The Birch for many years, it's taken me this long to actually visit and I wish I had sooner. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and it didn't disappoint..The food and service were impeccable. The service was friendly and attentive, never intrusive. The menu has something for everyone and there were also many additional dishes on the specials menu. Pricing is toward the upper end but appropriate for the level of quality on offer

We booked a private room downstairs for the team and had a great night out. To me, the crocodile starter and the ostrich steak were first timers, both were delicious and tasty. The selection of South African wine was also brilliant and the Syrah, merlot and Cabernet were outstanding. The African beer we tried (can’t recall the name) was excellent. Service was spot on and at the end, the whole evening was fun and memorable. 10/10 to Vivat Bacchus

Would give them 6 stars if I could! Fantastic, perfectly balanced, delicious homey dishes, and exceptional prices especially during lunch. Plus they have specials which change daily. Went back again and wasn't diasapointed.

We came here for our wedding anniversary, food was absolutely beautiful, but a real shame that the experience was majorly dampened by staff who looked as if they didn't want to be there, not a single smiley face anywhere to be seen, this makes you feel majorly uncomfortable and rushed.

You are unable to switch normal fries for sweet potato fries, or make any swaps at all on your meals..so if you want sweet potato fries, you have to have normal fries AND a side of sweet potato fries, for the price you are paying you'd expect to be able to make a swap on your meal and not have to pay for extra.

Unfortunately for us due to the unfriendly staff on a special occasion for us, we would not be returning nor recommending to any friends or family, which is a real shame as food was beautiful but staff also have a big part to play when you eat out.

Had the three course meal, the starters was nice- chicken parfait with brioche, super rich but very tasty.

The mains of beef Wellington with a supplement which was excellent with the amazingly intense jus and the desert were amazing of chocolate tart and the cheese cake.

It is so delicious that I want to go and eat it again. Bolognese, carbonara, lasagna, avocado and salmon appetizer, and baguette bread were all delicious. I don't know because I haven't eaten a lot of food, but I think the food I haven't eaten must be delicious. The staff was friendly, and if I go to Bath again, this is a restaurant I want to go back to.

Just lovely. Stylish, charming interior. Genuine friendly service, great timings between courses, not too fast, not too slow. Tasty food and good portions.

Just top notch all round. Sunday lunch to remember, with excellent food, excellent wines, excellent service and excellent ambience, complete with Brian, the excellent pianist (we’ll say hello to Churchtown for you!). Guess what, we think it was excellent…! Properly 5 star deluxe.

Lovely romantic setting, friendly staff and delicious food - really recommend the cacio e pepe!

Sat outside at the front. Dirty smeared cloudy glasses to drink from. Dirty filthy bin near serving hatch area on left on the way to toilets. Toilets not clean generally unkempt. broken left basin tap. Tables as walk through look sticky marks rings not a great impression. A bit neglected sad soul less. Flies round coffee machine, general unclean coffee machine. Near till so visually puts you off, again as impression of uncleanness. Had one drink & left. Perfect location but not being well presented.

After some disappointments in other places we tried The Outsider and it was a really good choice ! We were 8 at the table, we ordered meat and fish courses which were all very good. Tasty food and much better prices than what we saw somewhere else for comparable quality and much smaller quantities. Beautiful view for those who are lucky enough to be seated near the window. It would be perfect if the place was less noisy.

The restaurant includes an outside seating area where dogs are welcome, a good selection of drinks including a cocktail selection, comfortable seats and is located close to the city centre.

If Italian food is your thing, definitely check out this restaurant the next time you are visiting Bath!

The food was great, but what stood out was the service. Drink and food orders were taken quickly and we were regularly checked on throughout the meal. Everything came out promptly and tasted great.

One of the best steak houses I've ever been to! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I made a booking for one last minute and they accommodated me quickly. Unfortunately, when I arrived and was shown to my table it was laid up for two and the waitress even put down a second menu.
I chose what I wanted and was seen to quite quickly. Despite ordering a glass of wine, one starter and one main, the waitress then asked if I was waiting for anyone.
As a single dinner this repeated assumption that I must be with someone else made me feel quite saddened, especially as I had pre-booked for one.
The wine was very good, and the starter came out in a flash.

I had ordered whitebait but what I was presented with was surprising small considering it's £8 (roughly) price tag. The fish was good and the batter was done well. The accompanying sauce/dip and salad were both good as well. The main issue was portion size for me, especially as I see whitebait as a cheap option in normal restaurants.

I had the rib-eye steak at £30 (roughly) and ordered it blue. Something that is always risky in my experience, but the chef did it to perfection. I think it is the best blue steak I have had in all of the Bournemouth area. The garlic butter was divine and the chips and onion rings were well prepared. The grilled tomatoes were very good, I must say.

Over all, the food was absolutely exceptional and the service was absolutely on point!
Except for the price and size of the whitebait and the service making me feel a tiny bit awkward for being alone, I would have given 5* across the board.

The place is quite pricey, for me alone with just a starter, main and two drinks plus the tip came to £70. However, the steak was so good that I would still recommend it if you are able to afford it.

Even we had only snack food but was tasting very good and definitely will try later restaurant main food . The staff are very friendly and cooperative . The service was very good . We thank the young lady for her excellent and pleasant service .

Excellent service and recommendations. Food and wine were great and both were a novelty as South African themed. Therefore some delicious spiced chicken and a very tender ostrich steak. Desserts were a very pleasant surprise. Highly recommend

The service was great and it's a lovely atmosphere looking across to the castle. Unfortunately the veggie food was a bit of a let down. The starter of Beetroot risotto was ok, but the main of wedges of squash was odd and lacked any depth of flavour. Shame as I was really looking forward to eating here. The meat dishes did look great, so perhaps not a place for vegetarians.

Lovely meal here during the fringe. Brilliant service from all staff who were super helpful and friendly, working very hard to provide exceptional service. Eating outside was lovely. The hot meze was delicious and very filling. Highly recommend.

We were celebrating my friend's birthday and our waitress helped make it a really fun evening. She provided the perfect balance of friendly attentiveness and space for us to talk (as well as some lovely complimentary birthday champagn!e). The food was also excellent (especially the burger) and we’re looking forward to returning for my birthday next month. Best meal I’ve had out in ages.

Gorgeous wee place on Rose Street, perfect outdoor dining, feels like in Roma.
The left toilet cabin is a tad tricky due to size but except that absolutely gorgeous food , quick service and lovely music.

I absolutely adored this hotel, me and my Mum visited for the set menu lunch and it was faultless! Sea trout was cooked to perfection, the complimentary bread was so flavoursome, and the dessert quite possibly one of the best I've ever had (which is a lot!). From the moment you arrive, everyone is on hand to escort you to where you need to be, very welcoming and nothing is too much for them. Interior is beautiful, very traditional. Thank you to the entire hospitality team at the Lanesborough for making us feel special, I look forward to returning in the near future!

When we arrived we were told to follow a member of staff to our table.

He didn’t say hello or acknowledge us- just marched ahead and we followed.
He placed the menus on the table and just left.
Nobody came to ask us if we wanted drinks etc. We sat there reading the menus and waited whilst staff busily walked past. After 10 minutes, we had to call a passing waitress to order drinks.
She didn’t ask if we were ready to order food just went off.
Drinks came and again just left us and another 10 minutes passed and whilst other customers who came after us were served- we were left.
We ordered table water along with the wine but a bottle of water was brought and opened before we could say anything.
We didn’t want to stay for a dessert or coffee as we weren’t enjoying our dining experience.
When the bill came, I asked for the service charge be removed as we didn’t receive a good service from any of the staff.
When the new bill was brought by the manager he appeared miffed and just placed it on the table.
If that was me, I would of taken the opportunity to ask if we had a good meal etc
Staff seemed they didn’t want to give eye contact or be particularly friendly. The only one who did was the young lad at the bar who greeted us.
When two large parties arrived- staff were attentive including the owner- an obvious difference from the lack of service we received.
The food we enjoyed but that didn’t make up for the poor service.
We sent feedback directly to them but instead of any form of apology, received, via a phone call, a defensive, almost aggressive response, indirectly calling me a liar and almost our fault for turning up 20 minutes to early! The manager thought it was okay to talk over me and not listen but didn’t like it when I talked over him.
Shame he didn’t want to take the opportunity to apologise but obviously thought he was in the right

The restaurant is a good location from the Edinburgh castle, food tasted alright, the mussels were tasty, but everything was quite heavily over-salted. I had reserved a table but still had to wait, food took a long time to arrive as well and the place was quite loud so it made us wanted to leave as soon as possible!

An absolutely wonderful experience , truly worth their Michelin Star ! The ambiance was delicate and comfortable with soothing music and deep cushioned seating. The servers were attentive with impeccable manners and clearly took pride in their work.

3.5 Stars. The staff and atmosphere were lovely but the food was average and on the expensive side. Supposedly its one of the top ten Italian restaurants in London but there's at least 2 others in Richmond that are better than this. Not the worst but not the best.

First time here at the insistence of my wife. Brought Darcie or dog for lunch and received the warmest welcome from the staff. Excellent food from Tom the owner, who came and said hello to our dog. Will be visiting again for sure.

I had a great birthday lunch with my wife. We enjoyed a delightful 3 course meal in very nice surroundings. The service was excellent and one of the waiters explained the origins of the Lanesborough, which at one point had been a hospital which later moved to St George's in Tooting, hence the Lanesborough Wing at St George's. The dining area was actually the hospitals operating theatre. Forgive the distraction...
back to lunch, the food was amazing as anticipated. For starters we had cured scottish salmon and a pressed terrine of truffle corn fed chicken with a cheddar brioche roll. For mains we had Suffolk belly pork and sea trout. For dessert we had a Rich Manhan chocolate cake with brandy ice cream. And for afters some petit fours. Recommended and all very delicious 😋

We had lunch here and absolutely enjoyed the food. The food is authentically Mediterranean. We particularly loved the Hummus and Pita bread, calamari and the falafel. We loved it so much that we made a reservation for dinner as well. The service is quick, food is served nice and hot and they have a short but amazing dessert selection. You should definitely try this place on your next visit to Edinburgh!

Been back twice in a month, food is fantastic with great service & and a good selection of drinks. Had the sirloin steak both times as it's been cooked perfectly! Sticky toffee pudding is amazing as afters. Great place, will always be on the list to eat out in Nottingham! Thank you!

Wonderful experience. Went to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and we were certainly treated like gold. From getting complimentary champagne on arrival and the creamiest creme brulee with a candle, the staff really made the night special.
And of course, the food was amazing. Being from South Africa, the ribeye on the bone did not disappoint. Will definitely be making another appearance

Went for Father’s Day and even though I checked before booking and was told the menu on line is the only one we can order from (no set Father’s Day menu) upon arrival we were informed the normal offer they do couldn’t be used today, this was disappointing as I was planning on a 3 course meal but had to forgo a starter as it now wasn’t in my budget!!

however the food was exceptional I had the chilli burger and it was by far the best burger I’ve had, the chips weren’t the best, my mum had sweet potato fries which were incredible so it’s worth the upgrade cost, we had planned on having a desert but the only desert I liked was out of stock, our table was booked for 1.15 so to have run out so early into service was poor planning when the restaurant was fully booked, surely on a day like Father’s Day you ensure you have enough stock in?

Apart from the above niggles this is a fantastic place the service was exceptional food amazing and on a normal day it’s reasonably charged would definitely recommend

We went on a Tuesday evening, so it was quite quiet, but we had a lovely evening.
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced (especially for Richmond). We all particularly enjoyed our starters (burrata and beetroot) and our pasta mains.
There was a good number of options, so there would be something for everyone.
The ingredients seemed very fresh and classic of Italian cooking.
The waitress was friendly and also knew exactly when to come to the table or leave us be, which was perfect.
I'd definitely recommend popping in, especially for their lunch menu deal.

Very nice place. Right in the heart of the city. Lots of bays to park in, but you might struggle in dinner time. I had lamb chops in pesto, which was amazing and comes with potato and aspergillus.
Apple tart was lovely but too sweet i couldn't finish it.

Enjoyed the food very much. But do pay attention to the ordering as after i ordered, ALL the food came at the same time within 5 minutes. So if for next time, I'll pace it out a little bit so food won't get cold. Also, not sure if it's because i was dining alone, there was no service or very minimum. No cutlery, no plate even my food arrived. And no one came for taking order for dessert, so in the end i left without having sweets. But the situation wasn't the same to the others for table for 2.

Fantastic. I am Spanish and not only the food and drinks, but the vibe of the staff made me feel like I was back in Spain. Perfect for a session of tapas and laughs. Even though it was a very busy night, that was not reflected on the service or the food. Thanks guys, specially Giovanni and Virginia, but everyone else too. You were great, we will come back soon.

As others have mentioned the service can be a bit hit and miss, the waiter we had was not overly welcoming and forgot to follow-up with one of our requests, the staff in general could be a lot more attentive.

We did not get asked how our main course was, I had the seafood pizza which was pretty awful, just a plain base with some ricotta sprinkled on and then a load of haphazardly placed seafood.

I could not complain about the quantity but the presentation and placement of the ingredients could have been a lot better, there were also crunchy bits of shell mixed in which did not make for a pleasant eating experience, (I would give the seafood pizza a miss).

The starters were good, as was the famous tiramisu which I strongly recommend you try, had it not been for the dessert I would have given the experience one star.

Overall I gave two stars as I felt the service was pretty bad and did not justify the included service charge, it is also overpriced for what you get so if you fancy Italian food in Bath I would look elsewhere first.

If your thinking of a place to enjoy great food , nice wines , excellent friendly service in a fabulous location then allow me to recommend The Lanesborough Grill. This was our first visit here and I can assure you it will not be our last.

We arrived at the Lanesborough Hotel in it’s perfect location on Hyde Park Corner and received a warm and friendly welcome. We were escorted to the restrooms where we could freshen up before lunch. Waiting for us at reception to the Grill was yet another very friendly welcome before being shown to our table. Once comfortable we looked around the dining room which was absolutely stunning with a classic old style feel. We immediately felt so relaxed and this was to continue throughout our time here.

Our lunch got off to an excellent start as we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us to the restaurant. We enjoyed our champagne while browsing through the menu given to us by the lovely Manuela. She along with all the staff were a real credit to the industry. This on a Sunday is a three course menu with a very good selection of starters , mains (including a Sunday Roast) and desserts. If you so wish there’s an opportunity to have a wine pairing with each course. This in the end was what we decided to choose. We started with some bread before moving on to the starters.

STARTERS - To begin I enjoyed one of the best terrines to date. The Pressed Terrine of truffled corn fed chicken with chanterelle aioli and a cheddar brioche was amazing. My wife opted for the Roast Orkney Scallop with sea herbs and a lytham shrimps bearnaise and where the look on her face was enough to tell me how good it was. These dishes were perfectly paired with two fabulous wines. For the scallop a 2018 Grace Madeline from Cullen Wines in Australia and for the terrine a delightfully light and fruity Schaller French Pinot Noir.

Before we moved on to our main course we were in for a really nice surprise as from the kitchen came a complimentary additional course of a Coronation Crab Salad with a curry and lime sabayon which was beautiful. There was even an extra pairing to accompany this dish a 2014 Domaine de Chevalier. This was a fabulous gesture from the team and when we spoke to manager Daniel we asked if he could pass on our thanks to the kitchen.

MAINS - Well if our starters and our extra treat were a delight what was to follow was pure indulgence. My wife chose the Rhug Estate Lamb with roast aubergine stuffed lamb belly , natural yoghurt , spiced lamb and coriander dressing. For myself I went for the Beef Wellington with caramelised roscoff onion , tunworth cheese potatoes , pale ale and honey which was absolutely fantastic. Another two excellent wines were to accompany each dish. The lamb was paired with a 2017 Henschke Barossa and the beef a Torcicoda Primitivo 2020 full of black fruits and chocolate.

DESSERTS - After a nice little break it was time for desserts. My wife though decided to opt for the supplemented Cheese Course where you were able to choose five cheeses from a fantastic selection of British and Irish cheeses accompanied of course by a glass of port. For myself I chose the Caramelised Brioche Pudding with burnt orange purée and buttermilk ice cream and a real delight it was to. This was paired perfectly with a 2017 Jurancon.

We finished with coffee and petit fours to bring to an end an absolutely fabulous afternoon. The food was excellent , the wine pairings were perfectly matched , the staff are so friendly and professional and all this in a stunning location. This is definitely a place I would highly recommend and will certainly not be leaving it very long before I return myself.

The menu on a Sunday is priced at Three Courses for £75 and the Wine Pairings are Three Glasses for £55 and when you consider the quality of produce and the location I easily consider this to be of great value.

Sadly not a rave review, attended saturday night, party of 4. As we entered there was a medical emergency taking place, which understandably is out of the establishments control and we were informed and warned that food maybe delayed which we totally understood. When we did order and receive our food two of the starters were inedible, they were totally dried out and over cooked, it was like trying to eat shoe leather, we told the waitress and we requested we were not charged for them, which we weren't. The 3 steaks ordered were over cooked as well, one asked for medium rare and it was medium at best, reality well done, but was edible one lamb shank which appeared to have been cooking all day, was dry and tasteless and could not be eaten. At no point did anyone ask if everything was to our satisfaction, bearing in mind the issue with two of our starters. When the plates were eventually collected, again seeing as one dish was only half eaten, again no one asked us if everything was ok. Staff although very pleasant and friendly seem to be winding down for the night as all congregating in the kitchen and the music turned off, this was 9pm! Such a shame as we were looking forward to eating here, but will not return. Although every establishment can have an off night, this very much felt that there was no care on dinners satisfaction or enjoyment. I did voice this to the manager but was just told oh it's not usually like this please come back, but quite frankly would not like to risk it, was expensive for what it was.

A Cena hosted our post wedding reception and went above and beyond to make it the perfect afternoon. Jade and her front of house team were amazing - they set the tables up beautifully and were so happy and attentive throughout service. The food was equally as fabulous too, with our guests still talking about the selection of starters and gorgeous Tiramisu desert! The perfect meal.

Partner and I ordered some burgers with chips and a cider each for a total of roughly £20. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Food was nice and the seating by the canal was lovely and scenic. Good place to stop by

We ordered the chicken gyro and tagine. Both were out of this world!! It is the cutest little restaurant, and all the food is authentic. There are tons of options if you have allergies too, and it does not sacrifice any flavor or meal options. This has been amazing on this trip. I wish the US could be more allergy friendly, like the restaurants in the UK are. The staff was so friendly and kind. I'll definitely come back the next time I visit Edinburgh!

I rarely write reviews but this place is worth it. It’s a lovely contemporary European restaurant, laid-back but elegant and sporting fantastic views of the castle. The lunch menu is very reasonable - most items are under £10, including a delicious plate of mussels cooked in white wine. The specials change every day and are priced similarly (today there was hake and rabbit). Service was excellent too: one of my friends was waiting for her food for a while, so they offered us all coffee on the house. On the whole, an excellent lunch spot, perfect for catching up with old friends, a business lunch, a date etc. The wine list looks fantastic as well, though it was a little early for that. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning!
Ordered a pull pork sandwich and gnocchi for lunch here. The taste is really good. The pork juicy and tender. Sauce is full of flavour. Gnocchi is also a good light choice for lunch with refreshing veggies.
The view from the window is lovely with a good sunny day. Price are also reasonable for lunch.

Had a great evening in the restaurant.

The layout of the restaurant is spacious, grand, and comfortable. Think it gave us a very relaxing vibe for a wonderful family and celebration occasion.

Great choices from the set menu and the team is very attentive and knowledgeable. Think it really enhanced our experience of the evening.

Good food quality and I left feeling satisfied and yet not too full from a three course meal.

Really enjoyed our time here, the food came out really quickly and we were all impressed. I was overjoyed to see chipirones on the menu as I feel these are really hard to come by in Spanish restaurants in the UK and are my favourite! Would absolutely recommend.

Had the Caprese for starters which was absolutely delicious. I had looked online before going and saw the Pomodoro pasta that I was excited for, unfortunately it was not on the menu when I got there, so went for the Arrabiata instead. It was slightly over salted, but edible. My partner had the lasagne and enjoyed it a lot. Staff were friendly and the restaurant is lovely.

Really bad food. We ordered 3 starters (that came out with the mains) and 2 burgers and every dish had something wrong. We would have sent it all back but we had already waited 45 minutes so was starving!

One of the burgers was completely the wrong burger (ordered vegan Bombay Burger and got the vegan gourmet burger instead), the Desperado burger had no spring onion or cheese sauce, standard chips instead of paprika chips, no onion, iceberg lettuce not baby gem lettuce, no mayo with the mushroom starter, no bbq sauce with the mac n cheese bites, and our ‘shicken tikka pieces’ looked like the attached picture!! What about a piece of iceburg lettuce, a tomato and some mayo is ‘Asian slaw’?!?!

To top it off, it was all cold.

We had to ask for cutlery and got 2 forks, 3 knives and no napkins. Ketchup had a squirt left in it, so had to find the sauce station and replace it myself (and grabbed some napkins!). No one came up to us in the meal to ask how it was going, otherwise we would have complained.

Would never go back and would never recommend. AVOID and save your money.

We had a beautiful lunch at The Birch today and will most definitely return. The manager was very hands on and provided us with a great overview of the menu, the wider team were also very attentive and efficient. The food was flawless, fantastic portions, really fresh and flavourful. Great value for money.
We were able to view the Sunday Lunch menu whilst we were there, it looks tremendous. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for an exceptional meze experience, look no further than this restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the menu is packed with a range of mouthwatering dishes. From the creamy hummus to the tangy tzatziki, every meze plate we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine.

Shame I can't give 4.5 stars but felt the need to drop it slightly due to 2 things. First, the steak we ordered was heavy flavoured by rosemary. The steak was perfectly cooked and so tasty but as a non rosemary lover, I would have preferred to be pre-warned via the menu about the strong herb as I would have requested this to be left off. The flavour of the steak, with simple salt and pepper would do as the steak is such good quality and cooked so nicely.
Secondly, it was a shame the chips were not hand-cut chips and didn't have the peri chilli seasoning on them. Plain hand-cut chips would have been nice and I had the choice of putting my own salt on.
Really nice place to go and would recommend this place for anyone in the area due to the quality of the steak and nice service.

Went there with 3 Spanish friends and loved the food. Authentic and tasty. Service could improve in speed and the meat for the filete encebollado could be of better quality (it was not soft enough). I still give it 5 stars because I really liked everything else and it made me feel at home

Great pub with great food at great prices! We had to wait more than an hour for it and the starters came at the same time as the mains, but great pub overall.

Lovely setting with good food that is of home standards.
Children run around freely which for some is not wanted as you may be enjoying a child free day.
Pretentious names for dishes, for example, I ordered the tagliatelle with beef.
This turned out to be good old Spaghetti bolognese.
The steak ordered was very salty.
The waitress did offer to change it but we were all too far into our meals.
Her service was very much appreciated. Great attention to customer satisfaction and service.

Amazing 5 stars for all. Food excellent. Staff are very friendly. Steak was some of the best we've ever had. 2 courses and a bottle of red just over £70. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend booking a table.

Had lunch with my hubby, delicious steak, best one we have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, juicy sirloin and rib eye, charcoal grill flavour, fresh sides and sauces, chips were not greasy at all, only the onion ring was a bit drenched in oil. Desserts were nice too, although the only item I did not find awesome was the lemon meringue pie (have had better ones). The Alabama chocolate cake was amazing. Even the drinks were nicely prepared. I had a soda and cordial, well balanced, not to sweet, just right. The service was kind, professional, corteous and patient. The music on the background was highly enjoyable and in correlation with the Soul Motown theme of the restaurant and at a volume that let you carry on a conversation. Overall I would give this place a 5 * rev :)

I was incredibly disappointed to find out that the kitchen was closed at The Galleon Wolverton despite their advertised opening hours. My friends and I were looking forward to a nice meal, only to be turned away due to the kitchen being closed. This lack of communication and attention to detail is unacceptable, and it left a bad taste in our mouths. If a restaurant advertises they are open, they should ensure that their kitchen is operational during those hours. Unfortunately, this experience has left me hesitant to return to The Galleon Wolverton.

The food is absolutely amazing!!!
I'm always dubious about steak houses as so many are just average. But this place is on another level.
Restaurant itself is small, staff are welcoming and pay just the right level of attention from start to finish
We had the chateaubriand, which was absolutely perfect, all the trimmings were delicious
Don't skip dessert, worry about the calories another day

This is truly an amazing place. I have had a medium rare steak and it was amazing. I loved the message on the back of the menu. I am pleased to hear it is family run who care about quality of food and it shows. Pleasure is all mine to visit

Afternoon tea was OK, scones where served raw and took a long time to be served! Other than that was quite average! Restaurant it self is nice

Requested reservations at Aria and didn't even get confirmation on whether the reservation was accepted or rejected! Emails tells you the reservation team will be in touch. Even called through to the hotel and they passed a message on and still nothing. I saw reviews about the service not being great, glad I didn't go here now if they can't even be bothered to reach out to customers.

Really great place for steak and wine. We ordered from their 3 course set menu and the meal was perfect. I started with the burrata, followed by a delicious steak and finished with the cheese platter. All went down well with their red wines. Lovely staff and atmosphere too!

Good Italian Restaurant! The food we ordered was tasty and delicious starting with the starter and to our mains. The place ambience was good as well.
Its a small restaurant so i recommend booking for a reservation but walk ins are welcome though if they got sits available. Overall 4/5 for me! 🔥

Lovely group dinner at Vivat Bacchus in Farringdon. Fortunate to have one of the private dining rooms, which was lovely and perfect for our group of 18.

Food and service were both excellent, with wine flowing as needed. Big shout out to Anna for looking after us, and thanks also to Ryan for help with booking.

Probably our third visit to The Birch. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely restaurant. We went for an anniversary celebration and from the moment we walked in the staff we friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and it was a lovely touch to be given an anniversary card by the team . It’s not a cheap meal out if that is what you are looking for but it’s worth every penny for the fantastic service and delicious food . Thank you for a lovely evening .

Great service, Hussain provided us with great service. Went for afternoon to celebrate a birthday, and they added a personal touch by putting up a happy birthday banner and a complimentary happy birthday confectionery.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Birch today. They have only just reopened and were very busy but everything was great.

Every member of staff seemed happy and were all very personable, a great example of how hospitality should be.

Food was equally great and we will definitely be back!

We came here for afternoon tea, to celebrate a special occasion. I had pre-booked to ensure the restaurant knew our diatory requirements. The staff were professional, welcoming and excellent with attention to detail. A stunning deep red, fresh floral centrepiece adorned the table, which was a truly thoughtful gesture. They also created a beautiful pink 'congratulations' platter with petite cakes. We had different types of teas including gluten free, pescetarian and meat. The ingredients were fresh, tasty and well presented. Three of us had champagne. The cost was £120 and worth every penny. l would certainly recommend the Aria to others. The ambience was also calming and very attractive.

Amazing ambience at the Aria restaurant which opens out into the lobby of the Hyatt Regency under a glass atrium. We went for afternoon tea which was OK and did not make the mark. We felt the sandwiches were a bit underfilled and dry at the edges. 3 varieties if scones...plain fruit and chocolate chip were not light and fluffy. The pastries were good, however the lemon posset was served in a narrow small glass container without a teaspoon small enough to get into the glass or without any teaspoon! We had to use the knife to get it out onto a plate so we could eat it. Service was courteous but could do with being more present in the restaurant and attentive to customers, ( fir eg ask if everything was OK). Lack of attention to detail in the food preparation, serving and service let this five star restaurant down.

What a great place for a delicious meal. Meat is locally sourced and outstanding flavour. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Lovely staff. Helpful, welcoming and very kind.

Make sure to try the pork belly - one of the best I’ve had. The sauces are exquisite specially the peppercorn.

The Hyatt is probably Birmingham’s best hotel in the city. I was incorrectly informed that Bill Clinton stayed there during his visit back in 1998.
Anyway, The Hyatt has an impressive looking lobby. The ceiling is high, the lighting is set to romantic and the water feature is set to zen waterfall mode.
The Aria restaurant doesn’t feel like a separate restaurant, but part of the hotel eating area. It is well groomed and manned by quality, professional staff. The food is beautifully presented, good examples of classics, but the menu lacks anything with punchy, memorable, edgy flavours.
If you go for the 2 or 3 courses (please order before 18:30), you do get great value for money. Given the competition for high end food in Birmingham, Aria falls short on all areas other than service.

The Hotel Lobby is stunning, atmosphere feels tranquil ,romantic decor with trees and plants, shelves with beautiful vases and a central water feature and a huge glass ceiling .
The food is good and always well presented.
The service is excellent, friendly and attentive staff.
