Fairly priced and great portion sizes. The food could have done with a bit more flavour, but this is still one of the better kebab shops in London. Would definitely visit again!

This used to be my place to order from and the food was fantastic, Latley its become a bit to greasy and the prices have really gone up. The delivery is great but I cannot pay the price for what I want when there is better nearby.

Been years since I've stepped foot in this place, good to be back. Halloumi wrap was made quickly and with care from the staff. Good enough quality of ingredients, chilli and garlic ratio was bang on, with good red cabbage and tasty hummus. Good value, old skool prices. Thank you.

Nice little place to stop off to grab something on the go or to sit down and have a spot of lunch. Chicken donner, chips, pita and salad with a coke was very tasty and a generous portion for the price. Been here a few times and will definitely come back.
Would give this place 0 star if possible, ordered through uber as was told it was ubers fault they did not have enough drivers. Was told it was a 20 min wait when ringing the restaurant.... only to have already been waiting over an hour, for a 6 min car journey max!

Ordered food from here, was told it'd be 40 minutes. Called after an hour and half and was told it would be with me any minute.
Phoned again an hour later as still hadn't received it and was told there was a problem with the machine and they hadn't processed the order (despite telling me an hour earlier that it was on it's way).

Great chips from here - best in the area by far. Also great service with the little kid handing my daughter a lolly! Will be back 👍
Went here today for a midnight snack. Its not so busy so I cannot compare it on a busy friday night. I ordered the mixed platter which is nice and generously packed for a takeaway. Ill definitely come back again.
Pathetic, put chilli sauce all over my food , didn’t believe me over the phone so I had to come down to prove it. My food was then cold when I got back home and all they offered was a £1 delivery compensation followed by bad attitude from the staff members.

They overcharged me on Oct 8th in the early morning on the contactless payment. £30 for fries. I see many other similar comments so I doubt it was a simple accident. I will be reporting them and try to get a refund.
Don’t understand all the bad feedbacks, must be a lot of competition… I ordered fish and chips late at night, I got a lovely flakey fresh cod with crispy batter and the salad was very good portion and fresh too. Quick delivery, thank you. I will definitely order from them!

this place was a huge disappointment! if you ever tried the real falafel from any place in the Middle East, do not come here. I took literally one bite and could not finish it. if you never tried falafel and you liked this be sure that this is not the best falafel ever
The mixed kebab with chips is worth buying and could be shared between two with an extra pitta bread.

Worst place ever i find in Hackney. Don't even try to order from here. Donner was smells and when i ask him about he make excuses about ketchup or burger source might not good.

The food was ok, i got a wrap and it was very filling but they gave alot on a single bag and the bag ripped and food fell out near the exit, the food was all over the bag and not really enjoyable after that. Also a staff member mixed me up with a Uber eats driver, why would you make that assumption if I've just bought food.
Today I ordered a family mix and when I say me and the family were amazed. The food was more than amazing and so flavourful. 10/10 deffo recommend.

I ordered food which never arrived. When called restaurant asked about my delivery they very rude and not polite staff shouted at me that driver delivered food already and handed to some man. I leave on my own and I never received delivery. I'm really sick and I cant leave my home to buy the food so i Ordered something for today and for tomorrow. He said I'm lying and that I am a thief. At the end he said that they do not have time for stupid talk and he hung up. They charged almost £30, didn't deliver the food and insulted me.

This place tried to overcharge my husband by putting in a much higher number into the EFTPOS machine than what he had ordered when all he wanted was to buy a kebab for the road after drinking. When my husband raised the issue, they yelled at him and made up an excuse for the price discrepancy that didn't make sense.
Got a quarter pounder at midnight when everything else was shut and to be honest it was spot on! That’s the best quarter pounder you can get in the area when it’s late for sure. Salad was super fresh and the bread they use it’s better than the usual. Owner is really kind and professional and service is fast. I recommend it.

Excellent service... portion was good... tiny sitting area... clean and tidy... food was OK compared to price... Good option for late night munch. Staffs were friendly and helpful... Good for takeaway... not so great if you looking dine in...

For me the best kebab in London. The meat is flavoured and delicious, the garlic sauce is great, and they don't disrespect the kebab with other sauces. The service is friendly and they are very fast

An okay kebab, chicken was a little oily for me and didn't have much flavour. But a decent portion size and a good price. Certainly a life saver after a night out.

Cancelled an order 40 mins after the allotted collection time. Waited there watching a swearing match between the owner and his staff. No one got their food on time and I feel sorry for anyone eating there because food was literally being thrown around with cross contamination of meat with fish and chicken. This place needs an urgent food inspection and I’ll be reporting what I saw to prevent people getting ill. It needs shutting down.

Got my order tonight and omg the food was unreal you get huge portions we got the 3 in 1 box we got two one for my self and one for my husband thinking they would be small but they are huge so note to self order one between us the next time the quality of food is unreal I would highly recommend chapel chippy to everyone 😊

I wish there was a -1 star option. Owners is rude, always on the phone and his cclustomer service skills are zero. Charged extra for salad that accompanied a kebab as he was clearly having a slow business day. Salad was a few strips of onions , lettuce and tomato . Wasted money and won't go again. Food wouldn't even taste good if you were drunk. The Best Kebab near old street is sooooo much better!

I’ve been eating here for the last 15 years and still enjoy it. Great value, tasty Döner!
We went to get dinner around 8:30. Owner takes the order and then decides to tell us dine in is not available. The price he charged was mentioned nowhere on the menu. He also tells us chips cost an extra 2.50, when it should be included in the wrap as at other places. We still keep our calm while he rudely educates us that nothing is for free even at McDonald's. Long story short, the guy was annoying and rude. He should've just told us chips cost extra and leave it at that instead of acting like we came in to beg for free food.

Very nice wee place in the city centre close to the night life, had a great meal and very affordable too for the late time. Big plus, the owner have a LOT OF PATIENCE with loads of poorly behaving kids. Great respect to them working hard

Seems to be a lot of 1 star reviews here from shady accounts with 1 review. It seems a lot of people have issues with the meat not being halal so they make things up.
Not my place to comment on religions, but as a regular I can say the food is second only to the service. Not once have I been let down by the team at White Horse. Every time it is fantastic and with a smile and I recommend you to give them a go.

Top tier kebab - seriously ignore all the 1 star reviews from the late night jobsworths. If you are here for the kebabs you ain’t giving anything but 5 star, ask for extra chilli and you won’t be disappointed. Also owners are great! If I’m ever in the vicinity I will be going here again!!
The £5 lunch deal for falafel wrap and chips has changed (November 2023). You now get free chips or drink with any main. The mains are now mostly more than £5, but I like the flexibility, for example I prefer a box to a wrap. As so many other people have said, the falafels are really good. So are the fries: they were perfectly cooked. Atmosphere sometimes busy, sometimes very calm.

Good costumer service, delivery was on time and food was a good enough temperature so no complaints there. The kebab portion size’s vary so most of the time I wouldn’t say it’s good value for money. Taste was decent, cooked fresh and good quality especially the rice. Nothing was overly salty or greasy so I would definitely eat again. My only complaint was the flavourless grilled peri peri chicken. It was slapped around the grill for a couple of minutes and taken off without any grill marks which is where the flavour comes from.
Ordered a take away from this place. Said online the doner meat & chips came with a pita - it didn’t. The salad and sauce come in separate pots. The doner meat was dry and grizzly with big hard bits of fat in it. But the biggest disappointment was the chilli sauce - it was FROZEN! I have never in my life seen frozen chilli sauce in a kebab shop. Unable to pour over my kebab. Ruined it for me. Will not return!
Had a lamb doner kebab with all the fixings; it was so delicious!! Great price (£6), huge portion and friendly staff as well. Perfect late night treat.

Really good food here, served on time. I'd recommend the chicken tikka kebab or wrap, great value, as well as the fish and chips. Kids always enjoy the Margarita pizza and chicken burgers. Staff are really friendly!
Food ordered via Just Eat, the thieving delivery driver came to the door then walked off without ringing the bell. I have a Ring Doorbell so have video evidence that he literally stood outside for s few moments then walked off. Contacted the restaurant but they said there was nothing they could do as the driver was from Just Eat. Have requested a refund & also contacted the restaurant to advise that the service was below par & they also need to raise a complaint with Just Eat.

The falafel wrap is solid and, I would say, good value. The staff are pretty friendly by kebab shop standards. I've gotten a falafel wrap here about once per month for the past year and the quality is consistent. Would happily recommend.

So the grand total is £45!! 🤔🤔 I was a little confused... I was told I've been given Large Mixed Doner £9, but there is only large and it's £8.50 on takeaway menu and £8.80 🤦 Even if the "Large" mixed kebab was £9 it still wouldn't have come up to £45 for 4 of them and a burger meal that didn't come with chips or drink for £7, unless it was included in the "free stuff"

Best place for fish and chips in this area. Staff are really friendly and always make you feel welcome. I haven't tried their pizzas etc so can't comment, but fish and chips is really good
We have tried this place a few times now, and I think its going to be our favourite. We have tried a kebab, fish n chips and now pizza. They were all fantastic. Top quality great value for money and the staff are all really nice. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend.

Absolutely one of the greatest kebabs in London.
Delicious dishes, big portions, very good ingredients and helpful service.
The side sauce is really tasty and the meat is tender and juicy.

Good kebab. Variety to choose from. Place is a bit untidy. But food was great.

A cosy place, near the university, not too busy even during peak times. On the day we went, there was a special meal deal offer, making it very affordable as compared to other restaurants. The staff were very polite and friendly. We were eating in (we mentioned this when ordering) but were served as if we were taking away. E.g. the chips were in paper packets and were given on the table - I think it would be nice if the food was given in plates. But generally, I think this place is good for a quick bite.

Value is good and opening hours are very accessible. The staff were very short-tempered and curt when ordering food at 2AM on early Saturday morning. However at about 1AM on the early Sunday morning, when it was considerably quieter, the staff were much more mild mannered and patient.
They would do well to install a menu visible at the front of the store instead of just at the cash register where there's a bottleneck.

Wow, i believe the sign that says one of the top 5 kebabs in London. Didn't taste like your usual Istanbul or any other frozen type. Tasted meatier and fresher and overall really good.
