I had the beef brisket, way under cooked and not melt in the mouth for that cut of beef and way too much fat on it for my liking, 3 slices of hard carrot, a table spoon of cabbage, peas and TWO roast spuds TWO!!!!! Another "cup" was ordered. Yorkshire pud full of oil🤢 not a pleasant experience to be honest for the price! Beef brisket is supposed to be melt in the mouth and the fat disintegrates. And for gods sake more spuds and veg!
Oh and if it's beef at least have Colemans mustard!

First experience there was a good one. Saturday lunch around 12.30. It's table service and the staff were good. So you don't have to choose what you want then go and order.
I ordered the classic fish and chips with mushy peas and bread and butter.

The chips weren't the best. Very greasy, thin with hardly any potato inside. Too crispy, too greasy. The fish was very anemic too, again, too crispy, too greasy and too small.
For a £13.95 dish you'd expect more.

My partner also had chips with a burger. Again, burger and chips very greasy too.
Photo posted to show the "kebab shop" takeaway chips they use.
They need to use chunky chips not these thin ones with the potato fried out.

They also don't support our Emergency Services by offering BLC discount, which is fine but many places do so it would be good if they can join the many restaurants up and down the country who support our Emergency Services.

Absolutely amazing experience. Very attentive, friendly staff who were able to help me arrange a party in their function room.

The room was lovely, it had a great sound system and its own bar. I was able to see it in advance and get in early to add decorations.

Prices for the room and drinks were very reasonable too!

A fantastic venue that I'd definitely use again. Thank you!

Went in Saturday night. Started well the barman was really good and served us guickly. He went for a break then it all went wrong. The barmaid was shocking. Walking round cleaning menus leaving customer waiting. The landlord had to serve before she would come back to the bar. At one point we had to interrupt her talking to ask to be served. There was a singer on who just shouted and didn't know the words. Not a great first experience.

This place used to do lovely food but has really gone downhill ,i got burger and chips from here, the burgers were cheap burgers and were very rubbery to eat, also a glass of wine and a pint totaled nearly £16 ,town prices and as i put the lager up to my mouth fir a drink it stunk ,unfortunately wont be returning again ,hungry horse down road better value for money
Great cask ales in a historic old pub. We sat by the fire and enjoyed a pint and a vegan meal while the rain pounded down outside

We had a party in the function room in Oct 2023. Really good value and an excellent spsce for our 50 guests. All of the staff were really helpful and friendly. I was given the space the night before to decorate which was really useful. The food buffet was delicious and there was plenty of it. We had our own bar person for the whole afternoon and there was a great selection of drinks. The next day, they had already taken the decorations down for me which saved me lots of time. Would definitely recommend for any party!!
A great selection of Beers and other alcohols. Always a fantastic atmosphere and the live music is usually pretty good. The rooftop is fantastic as well.

It isn't often I go into a place and am pleasantly surprised by the range of food offered - they specialise in Himalayan cuisine and the food was incredible - everyone in our group enjoyed the food - particularly the selection of starters we had. Staff were really friendly and helpful and we were also surprised by how cheap the bill was!

Very disappointed having chosen this as a place to take 15 others for an evening out. No chicken or beef available for any burgers. Veg burger took almost an hour to appear. Was dismal for the £13+ and despite planning a night out I left before 9am with four others who felt similar. My beer wasn't great either. Bar staff too few but friendly and doing their best. Whoever manages needs to anticipate stock requirements for a Friday night.
My dad suggested that we come here for the carvery lunch. We was not let down as we found the food very fresh and well cooked. The service staff were friendly and the venue seemed nice and clean.

Booked a table for 3.30 Sunday 15th October. On Arrival they couldn’t find the booking. Not a problem was shown to our seats waitress was lovely. Took drinks order some 30 minutes later still waiting. 45 minutes later was informed that a delay with carvery waiting for mash potatoes and new meat. Not a problem happy to wait. Unfortunately when we did sit to eat our dinner it was cold. Having heard good reports about their food was really looking forward to returning sadly it just didn’t seem like it had improved.
A great Sunday dinner experience!
Everything about our late Sunday afternoon dinner was superb. A lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Huge meals at reasonable prices - the Trio of roasts (Pork, Lamb, & Beef) was delicious. Cauliflower cheese on the side was very cheesy indeed! A good selection of wines, with prices to suit all tastes.
We had never been here before, but we will certainly be going back.

Not been in years, food menu is really good. We shared the lunch sandwiches, one club and one goats cheese (delicious) all the food was really tasty and fresh, did not taste like frozen rubbish. And lovely service. Just quiet but was a Monday at 2pm so!

The food was amazing, the steak was cooked to perfection, the lamb on the shank just fell off the bone, best bit was that it was mashed potatoes not instant mash, the gravey was just right! will definitely be coming back here again!
Volly is a great pub with an ever changing range of craft beers which is great. Only downside to our visit was the staff couldn't find the remote to get the sound on for the rugby world cup through the speakers. This left the atmosphere for the sport somewhat lack lustre. The staff however were very apologetic and the service was quick and friendly for a busy Saturday afternoon.

Beautifully restored building. Very comfortable and atmospheric. Good choices on evening menu. Nice meal with prompt friendly service. Stayed overnight on B&B basis. Good sized comfortable standard room and bathroom. Bathroom ready for upgrading/redecorating but more than adequate.

Visited with my pregnant partner, we have a 2 year old and decided to spend our sparsely spattered date night at the Tap. Firstly the food was great, all delicious and well presented. The combination of curry house and pub will no doubt rank highly in many patrons playbooks, but for us the football projected on every wall with avid fans roaring at the multiple mishaps that befell Liverpool fc was a bit of a detractor. There were lots of families seated around us, so I'm a little surprised they decided to invite the football fans into every corner of the establishment with projections of a league match (not even international?) At every angle you looked. I'm taking it as the caveat to a combined curry house and pub.

As negative as that may read for some we still had a lovely time. The food was top, and being a pub they've not lost the overall atmosphere nor the varied menu that offers excellent curry but also classic pub food alongside. The staff were perhaps a little over attentive, but our small table required more attention than others with space to spare so I'll take it as them knowing their seating requirements.

We will definitely return, as the menu was great and drinks on tap supply the fuel for engagement.
Great service, the team are a credit to Brewdog. I ordered food to share amongst a group and I told the team member that one of the party had an intolerance to eggs. A few minutes later someone from the kitchen came to my table and explained the substitutions they would make and the different dips they would give us. Through out the evening the whole team were ace 10/10

Had a lovely meal from the himalayan menu and it was so lovely and tasty. I had 2 starters as didn't know which one to have, they were big but both made for a lovely main.
There were lots of staff who were really helpful and friendly.

Booked online for the all-you-can-eat wings. Table was ready when we arrived and order was taken. Liitke bit of a wait for the first plate but the buffalo wings were worth it. Staff were helpful and attentive. I asked for a beer recommendation and was given a taster. 18 wings and 2 drinks in and we were done. Very enjoyable.

This place was an unexpected find - a place serving Himalayan food on top of your usual pub menu. There is a nice back garden and in the front to sit out on a sunny day but I have found sitting inside relaxing and cooling too. Definitely will return!

A Sunday lunchtime visit with great food and superb service. The roast dinner was outstanding, with a great atmosphere in the pub and welcoming staff throughout. Our waitress was Elissa, a warm and welcoming young lady who went above and beyond. She was very polite and professional, and made sure we had everything we needed, certainly a credit to the pub.
Went today for Sunday lunch with my dad, great food and excellent service. Highly recommend and big shot out to out to our lovely waitress Paige who was very friendly and helpful 😂. Will definitely be back. Many thanks

Food was OK, choice limited, but general ambiance and smoking in the only eating area, which is out-doors, was very off-putting. The pub itself inside was extremely dingy. (Think Harry Potter and Hogs Head in Hogsmead) Didn't risk the toilets.
5 stars 🌟 🤩 First time visiting Milton Keynes BD, normally go to Cambridge. The atmosphere was great, all the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and happy. The food was fab as always. Owen was the person who looked after our table, he was lovely. And the girl behind the bar was lovely too, I don't know her name, but she liked my green fluffy bag 😉 xx

Stopped here for a bite to eat on a day out with my wife.
It's a really new place that already seems popular.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and started with a Loaded Hummus sharer in the garden but after the heavens opened we sat inside for our main course.
I had a the Californian burger and my wife had a Rotisserie Chicken, both were great..
Slight mix-up will the starter as our BBQ chicken side turned up with out Main course but this was due to the app and didn't stop us enjoying the meal.
Tuesday night mid September so a funny one.
Lists of beers all interesting. Served without interest though. Possibly cus just after a large group of young 'uns.
Quite empty but im sure that's different weekend and summer.
Good beer. So that's a great start.

Harvester type place, offering the usual chicken, steak and rib meals. Only slightly disappointing thing was, despite the rotisserie chicken clearly on view, our chicken was very dry. So just be careful if it's busy, they may resort to the microwave.
Other than that, staff are pleasant and efficient and the rest of the food was great.
Absolutely lovely place. Visited first time. Food is delicious and so fresh. Staff members are professional. Would definitely recommend the place to my friends!
We went on a Thursday night a group of friends and I to catch up and we were surprised with a very fun bingo-songs night! We order some food although we didn't expect they were all going to be burgers... we misread I guess, they were nice and tasty tho. Super friendly and fun staff, for us is always a come-back place.

Absolutely loved my experience at The Little B! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was exceptional—especially the steak and chips, which were perfectly made on the outside and flaky on the inside. A wide variety of craft beers and classic pub drinks rounded out a fantastic evening. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot for a date night or a lively venue to catch up with friends, The Little B delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

The staff really make this hotel. Every star I’ve awarded was for them and their helpfulness.

My issue is I believe some of the rooms to be grossly overpriced. I was visiting for a wedding and paid the same amount/more (£180) for my small double room as some of my friends paid for their large and vastly more luxurious rooms. I didn’t even have coffee making facilities. When I checked out, I wasn’t asked how my stay was, otherwise I would’ve brought this up.

Overall, the hotel/pub are cosy with lovely traditional features in some of the rooms. The breakfast was good, though my poached eggs were quite overdone.

The staff really are top notch and were so helpful taking my luggage up to my room when I checked in as I didn’t have time.

A wonderful community pub with a nice selection of beers, and excellent Sunday roast. Would happily make this my local if I lived nearby.

Staying within 10 minutes walk to this venue and knowing of their listing in the Camra Beer Guide, I made a beeline for this cosy community pub, literally within 5 minutes walk of Cabot Circus, and was not disappointed.

The beer on cask was excellent and included choices from Plain Ales, Arbor, Bristol Beer Factory and Purity - largely on the lighter side (pale ales and IPA). There are also 3/4 keg lines in addition to the standard choices of lager and a beer fridge. The cask beers I tasted were all in excellent condition and at a good temperature.

The atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon was relaxed, with a few regulars at the bar; although the bar staff were busy as there was a birthday party in the outside area out the back. Food on Saturdays consists of Sliders n Sides, and looked good from what I saw, but I was hankering after one of their talked about Sunday roasts and so I booked a table (recommended for Sunday lunch as it got quite busy around 2pm) and came back.

The small looking kitchen is effectively taken over by other businesses- Sunday roasts were provided by All The Trimmings. I had slow cooked pork belly with a side of Cauliflower Cheese and apple sauce: it was one of the very best roasts I’ve had. Everything was well cooked, the pork belly was soft and tender and flavoursome as was the crackling. Lovely Yorkshire, a good portion of greens and superbly cooked roasties. The cauliflower cheese side is for 2 people but it was too good to waste! Desserts are on offer as well.

I thought it was very reasonably priced as well, with my order including a pint coming to £23 roughly.

I read in the toilet a poster that said the manager, Amy, is moving on to pastures new and they are on the look out for someone to replace her. What was interesting was that both volunteer and hospitality sector experience was being sought, which illustrates the community focus of this establishment.

Anyway, by the looks of things whoever replaces them will have their work cut out, because this is one of the best examples of a community pub doing everything right. Long may it continue.

If you get a chance to visit this pub, absolutely do!

A great pub, really unique and finished to a high standard. Fab variety of seating, booths, high backed chairs and comfortable chairs, so every table is a treat. A good sized beer garden too, with plenty of seating - if the weather stays dry enough to enjoy. I appreciated the choice of beers and there was a good selection of rose wines to choose from - a much better selection than the usual Zinfandel or Pinot Blush options. The whole pub was dog friendly, which is great for us, dog biscuits on the bar and a doggy menu too.
We heard several people checking in during our visit, and were interested that all rooms are dog friendly too. Hopefully we'll have chance to stay over next time.
Gorgeous old English building, with rooms above the pub. Great atmosphere in the pub and the rooms were clean with plenty of refreshments, tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We travelled with 2 kids (aged 1 and 4). The room was spacious even with the toddler bed and cot. Breakfast was delicious but a little on the late side for us at 8:30am (as our kids were up at 6:15am). All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

It was a Sunday afternoon and believe it or not I had not visited the place for 32 years. It’s changed from what used to be a busy place to a quiet place. When I visited there were about 6 people in the place. The bar man was great and his service was spot on. Will try and visit again when a bit more busier.

I work at home and decided to enjoy the sun at lunchtime. It was a spur of the minute decision to visit the Little B, and I'm glad I did.

I had the salmon salad which was really lovely, tasty and fresh. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and made sure I was happy with everything, which I was.

The pub was clean and had a nice relaxed atmosphere, and I enjoyed sitting outside under the veranda in the shade.

Thanks for the great service. I'll look forward to visiting again.

Lovely staff! We had a confusion with a drinks order, they were really helpful, understanding and generous. In general we always have a very friendly, positive experience here, it’s become our new favourite local.

One of the staff in particular (a man in his 20s I think, with a beard - sorry, didn’t catch his name!) was really friendly, sorted out a misunderstanding with the cocktail order, made great cocktails and generally went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience.

There’s a great sized beer garden which has the sun until pretty late - a bonus in summer!

Really fun pub with spacious outdoor area - beautifully decorated too! The staff are lovely and the food smelt great (sadly didn’t get to try). The ale selection is good but the lager is disappointing and at £4.50 for the cheapest pint I hoped it would taste a little nicer.

Honestly I would leave 6 stars if I could! Visited The Red House for my birthday today, my husband and I went for the afternoon tea. We had never been before and I was surprised a place like this did afternoon tea but I couldn’t be happier we decided to give it a try! As soon as we walked in I loved the place, the atmosphere and decor were perfect. The service from Pedro was absolutely impeccable, he was accommodating to my dietary requirements as I’m currently pregnant and was so polite and friendly. He really went above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious and you could tell the chef really cared about the food he served, even down to the quality of the chicken in the sandwiches. Top notch! We will definitely be returning and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Thank you The Red House for giving me a fantastic birthday lunch! :)

Good selection of beer here, we ate a Sunday roast which was nice, crispy roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding a bit on the stodgy side if you like that (I personally do), thick gravy.
However the service wasn’t great, we weren’t asked if we wanted any condiments until our food came out, then when we asked for apple sauce and horseradish we had a small amount between the four of us, we had half eaten our food.
Then when ordering additional drinks there was only 1 bar person and although I was only second in the queue I waited 10 minutes to get served.
On paper it’s a great establishment but the management needs to rail things in to make a slicker service for me to want to return.
I’m not from Bristol but don’t mind a little distance to get to somewhere I like and this place needs a slight increase to be back on my radar

I love the roasts here and the staff are friendly. It's probably one of the best places to go in Biggleswade. Big garden, live music, fun events, street food. Book a table to avoid disappointment. However, sometimes they don't get it right. My xmas meal had burnt potatoes. No alternative, just told not to eat them. One of my party today had rotten lettuce in her salad. Staff member said it was half eaten, didn't want to swap it, didn't apologise. And that is why it makes it on the review, we could have got over the bad lettuce.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here it feels cosy, welcoming and friendly. The Private car park at the rear leads to the beer garden and rear entrance. The bar is spacious and offers all sorts of beverage. Waiting staff make you feel welcome and take time to run through whatever specials they have. The food menu has a good selection available but it does need far more veggie stuff. Food is of a good quality and served piping hot. Bedrooms are above the main bar but still remain quiet and cosy. Beds are super comfy too.

We popped in for a roast today and had a fab time! The roast was 10/10 (tender pork, crispy crackling, rich gravy, bubbling dishes of creamy cauli cheese). Friendly staff, food and drink well priced. Also just love the garden. We’ll be back!
A great bar, with great food in the hub, Milton Keynes.

Brewdog has a large selection of beers - the staple Brewdog beers, and some exciting guest beers and ciders to accompany them. There are also some more ‘exotic (expensive)’ cans in the fridges next to the bar, which are always interesting to try. I usually grab a few to share.

The food is great - the Buffalo Chicken Burger is a big favourite and the service is usually brilliant.

This time, however, one main from our order was completely forgotten and then when reminded (10 minutes after the other 2 dishes had come out), the wrong burger was delivered and so everyone else had finished and needed to leave before I got my food!

At the point of ordering there was also a few things not available, but with no signage/notes to let people know. The table gives you a QR code to order food/drink from, however after selecting everything and attempting to check out, it flags an error. This happened for all 3 of us.

In spite of all of this, it’s still a good place to go, and the above is not the usual standard of service.
I had the "The Burger" for main and "Sticky Toffee Pudding" for dessert. The food was excellent overall. Three onion rings come with the main which was forgotten but they rectified this quickly and I got my onion rings 😄 which were very delicious.

I was able to swap the cappuccino ice cream at dessert for vegan vanilla ice cream. The caramel sauce came hot but the sponge itself wasn't warm and was a bit firm; that was the only let down for pudding. The other let down for main was the chips, they weren't as great as others I've had but overall good with the meal.

The restaurant looked beautiful and it was a great view outside.

Good choice of beers and the service was efficient. Food was beautifully cooked, but I ordered the sea bass with prawns, which was only served with 3 chunks of courgette, one and 1/2 new potatoes and 4 cherry tomatoes. Now, I don't have a particularly large appetite ,but even I thought the vegetable accompaniment was severely lacking. My poor partner was really disappointed.

Lovely pub with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Good quality food but small portions. Had crab to start and it was 3 tiny pieces of toast with crab on (£8-95). Main course of sea bass and prawns (£19-95) and it was very good quality but hardly any veg. 3 halves of small new potatoes and a couple of tiny slices of courgette. Didn't bother with a pudding as we thought they would be similarly small so just had a coffee. Had supper when we got home as we were still hungry.

Terrible service!! Lady serving looked unhappy and very unfriendly. No warm, friendly greeting, no personality and so miserable!! It was so bad that I observed two customers arrive and the lady serving was the same miserable and unfriendly attitude. After just about 2 minutes i watched the two customers just get up and leave!! I’m certain it was due to her unfriendliness. I definitely would not be going back!!

Love the breakfasts here so much. Proper ingredients and lovely staff.
Always has a fabulous beer board with a wide range of craft beers styles. 2nd visit and very busy but still quick and efficient service
Fun times at the volunteer. So much more interesting than your generic Bristol City centre pub, with actual humans for bar staff. Thank you.
Great vibes for a Friday night drink with your friends. Great music and heaters are there. Services is pretty bad so be prepared to wait a while for a drink, but if you’re not in a hurry, then have fun!
Friendly staff amazing atmosphere, the live band Friday night was brilliant well worth a visit and the cheeseburger and fries are absolutely amazing we'll worth the visit
This place is fabulous. The staff are really fun and the decor and atmosphere are fantastic. The menu is well thought out and tightly focussed on produce from the farm that you can see out of the window of the restaurant! Food is delicious - the only problem is not having enough money or stomach space to try all of it in any one sitting! We have done Sunday lunch twice and an evening meal, with the service and food consistently outstanding every time.
Delicious food, amazing ambience, lovely waiting staff.

Booked a table for two for breakfast at 10am but decided to change to a 1pm reservation instead. Because I had put in the comments "breakfast for two", one of the staff members was so kind to contact me on my mobile to make sure I would be okay with the lunch menu as they stop serving breakfast at 11am.

Arrived and we requested a window table which the staff gladly obliged.

Staff were always polite a courteous when attending to our table.

Starters consisted of asparagus with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce.
And pan seared scallops with ham (this was an amazing dish)

I had the special of the day which was venison sausage, grilled leeks, potato mash (which was divine) and a seared scallop.

The other dish was fish and chips (batter with gin and tonic which made the batter very very light and tasty)

Overall we were both very happy and will definitely return sometime in the near future.
Went to check out their street food menu at the garden and tepee area on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. Great outdoor space, some tables with parasols for shade, others without. Eclectic mix of music being played, nice warm welcome from the staff. Mix of families and couples. Some with dogs so am assuming it's dog-friendly if kept on leads.

The field next to the outdoor seating had a family of piglets with mum running around, very cute but depending on your feelings about meat and where it comes from it could make you feel uncomfortable.

We tried a few cocktails then had the goats cheese and courgette pizza, the halloumi coriander flatbread and the veggie loaded fries. It was all amazing, a lot of care put in to the presentation and ingredients all fresh as everything is apparently grown on site at the farm.

Would definitely recommend!
All the staff are amazing at our local but Mike from brew dog Milton Keynes is a sound bloke nice to talk to and friendly Zoe was also really nice lady very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate all the guys and girls there lovely people Thanks guys great night again.

I liked the smoking area here (but only took a photo of my Guinness)
Everything from the service (I don’t recall the name of the gentleman who served us but he was a young man wearing a purple football shirt and he was really helpful and very kind) to the beers (which were varied and included IPAs, fruity ales and sours) and the food was great!

The beer battered cauliflower and the seitan were a bit on the spicy side (we should perhaps have asked for sauce on the side) but the meals were nicely presented and tasty.

It was a Really fantastic accommodating atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone to visit, especially if the sun is out!
Went to the farm shop. Good 👍 choice of cakes 🧁 🍰 selection of fresh fruit 🍎 🍌and vegetables 🥗 . Has a meat counter and bakery 🥯 has a small delicatessen. Friendly and helpful staff. Has a restaurant upstairs with a Lift 🛗 for wheelchairs ♿️ and prams and buggy’s. Has a car park 🅿️ looks 👀 clean 🧽 and tidy.
Beautiful setting. Great food., polite and attentive staff. We felt very welcome and the atmosphere was so relaxed. Would recommend a visit, the farm shop was amazing too. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

Great place; well-looked after by who I assume is the supervisor/manager (they all have beards so can’t describe him!), beers were top notch, burgers very tasty too. Prime location with lots of parking, plenty of staff so no long waits, quite busy but everything came quickly 👌

What a fantastic country pub, I stumbled upon during a drive to Jodrell Bank. I ended up having Sunday dinner and it was truly lovely and is absolutely recommended. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. I will certainly be back when next in the area.

Had a lovely Americano here, they serve Lavazza.
Quiet here, and had a good time watching shoppers pass by as I enjoyed my coffee.
Waitress was attentive.

I shall definitely return.

We had the most beautiful Sunday lunch today!!! Absolutely delicious! The best pub roast we’ve had in a very long time! We had pudding too - salted caramel profitteroles and baked cookie dough - we pretty much rolled out of the restaurant! The food came out 5 minutes after ordering, was incredible service for a busy Sunday lunch! We will 1000% be returning

Arrived just before a football game and it was the Epitome of charming. The bartender was so friendly, and we had a couple of drinks in a quiet corner surrounded by impressive art before our food was served. The food was exceptional in both quality, and price. We were so surprised as we’d just stumbled across this place.

Excellent all round experience. Second visit here, definitely a third on the cards. Food well worth a tasting, though you'll need a big appetite.
Second picture from previous visit, Thursday evening is Seafood Specials. This evening homemade Pie, perfect comfort food.
Great people watching.

Visited the white Bear in knutsford this afternoon for lunch, ordered the beer battered haddock and hand cut chips, it was cooked to perfection, the presentation was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Compliments to the chef and also thank you to Jamie who couldn't do enough for us! We will definitely be back to try more of the stunning menu!

The Best Cafe in Walthamstow really fresh food amazing coffee, absolutely love the food. Thank you for giving me a warm welcome amazing coustmer service. Very clean also. Thank you
Fancied a true craft Bristol ale after a Vegan breakfast with my daughter so she suggested one on the historic King Street watering holes and this was it.
A step back in time to this famous cobbled street go-to drinking destination area. Lovely historical building and location and a proper real old world smell inside...real oak, wood, candles and burnt wood certainly adds to this pub's atmosphere and historical charm.
The staff were ever so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The vast selection of real true cask ales and ciders is very impressive, wow!
I had a pint of the 'UP ABOVE' session pale ale brewed by LHG /Left Handed Giant independent Brewery in Bristol and it was exceptionally good and stunning!
A big thank you to all the staff for making my swift ale pitstop so memorable and enjoyable! Highly recommend this great historical pub and the food is apparently good too...definitely next time!

You need a big appetite! The food was lovely. I went as part of a staff party. We preordered our meas. I had the beef Wellington. It was lovely. However, not one piece but two. I did not have a starter (which were huge) and after my meal I was stuffed and satisfied. However I had forgotten I had ordered dessert! I could not finish that too. In fact t we all had two courses, and not one of us ate everything. Beautiful food, great service, reasonably priced but, and bear in mind I like my food, too much on the plate.

Lovely meal as usual at the White Bear : excellent service from the lovely Maria and Chef .
Lovely and warm with the fire on . Many pubs lack this warm atmosphere.
Keep up the good work!!

Love this place. Lovely staff, always clean, toilets spotless. Good service. Unfortunately on this one occasion the food was not up to scratch and as I visit this place a few times a month I was surprised as to be fair it is usually top notch. Jacket potatoes were only lukewarm and looked like they were days old and reheated. Flesh of potato was a dirty brown colour and had an off-putting after taste. . I would still go back and recommend as for me this was an isolated incident.

Of the handful of cafes on this stretch, Deja have the best umbrellas, tables and table service is very responsive too. Really feels like you're on the continent on a sunny Sunday morning. Sitting out on this stretch of the long-pedestrianised High Street is sorely under-rated.
Furthermore, this is one of the places to get a genuine continental style coffee on the High Street, in a porcelain cup! Other cases either only offer disposable cups or that broad rimmed type which lose heat too quickly.

Very poor services. Asking for 3 portions of food and get 2 instead, when i asked for 3rd one waiter said it will take few minutes.
After 30 min of waiting, they came wit the bill and ask us to leave because they about to close. So i never get my food.
This happened on 25.07.2019 at 8:30pm
I would never recommend this place, staff services are just under zero

This pub was a very very welcome sight after walking from Plumley. A very traditional coaching Inn, the low ceilings and dark oak beams almost take you back in time. We just stopped in for drinks, but both dog and child were welcome inside. Although we didn't eat, food was available and looked wholesome and filling. I felt comfortable and very glad of the chance to rest. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.

Update 2023, booked in for a Sunday roast for 3 waitress was accommodating and friendly, 1 chicken roast and 1 beef roast, with a kids roast too, came out hot and was very tasty, will come again.
Update sept 2022 booked a table for 11, service was still great and food was delicious....Booked table for 3, liked the inside it is very welcoming, clean and not to loud, staff were polite and friendly, Had 2 courses, main and desert and portion sizes were perfect and food came out well presented and hot. Prices were what you would expect for a local pub. Will definitely return again and recommend to friends. Big thumbs up for a place that has only recently opened.

Modern and stylish café, cozy, comfortable for a relaxing holiday in a pleasant company. Smiling, friendly professionals are at your service. The menu offers daily promotions and bargains. There is a very cozy winter garden suitable for visiting with children, because there is no direct access to the street where the restaurant is located.
I recommend!
5 stars for everything!
Almost always pop in here when I'm visiting Bristol.
Lovely inside, friendly staff and a good selection of craft beers.
On the few occasions I've eaten it's been excellent.
Plenty of outdoor seating out the front too, perfect for a sunny day
