Very friendly staff and they do sessions on various topics on Korea. It is also an attraction for Korean stars, who’s who of Korea visit here for various sessions. I was treated to a very delicious dinner and drinks after this session for youth of Korea on Halyu.

A vibrant community of local artists working with pewter, clay, wood, metal, textiles, and more. Their studios are spread across two floors in a lovely bright historical building. There's a cafe on the ground floor, too!
Whether you're looking for a gift, a new piece of jewellery, a plant pot, or simply a greeting card, you can find it here - and support local artists and crafts people!

Craft center with various artists with individual studios visited &made, Cragg jones Clay and Ella Mcintosh, a textile, clay and pewter artists. Each artist demonstrated their unique craft. A great place to visit and buy the crafts produced by these small businesses. Highly recommend this place.

Such an inspiring place bursting with creativity. Every artist has a story to tell. Friendly & welcoming. They also do mindful workshops which are therapeutic.

Great place full of independent makers all with their own stories and niche hand made products. Beautiful to browse and make sure you ask the makers about their crafts.

Building full of independent shops, mostly makers. Handmade gifts, jewellery and clothing. Also has a cafe. #independantshops

With some reluctance, I have to give KCCUK a low rating. As a foreign Korean learner with several years of experience and good proficiency, it would be wonderful to make frequent use of the services of an organisation like KCCUK designed to promote Korea and Korean culture in the UK. The centre has an impressive library with a great collection of English and Korean language titles.
But I have had quite a few issues with this organisation and I think it's necessary to set them out here where they can see it and where it will set against what I think is an unreasonably high average review score. My hope is that with greater awareness and changed practices, the way KCCUK operates and interacts with the general public will improve and I will be able to update this to (hopefully) a five star review.
Essentially, my problem is with the attitude of some members of KCCUK's staff and the generally unprofessional way in which it operates. There is no Korean chamber of commerce in the UK, so this organisation is pretty much the only thing the ROK government has available to it to convey a good impression of Korea and its people to the British public. It's a substantial responsibility and one that requires a serious attitude to one's work. Unfortunately, my experiences with KCCUK suggest to me that there is a general culture of indifference among its staff and a lack of politeness in how it deals with members of the public.
Here are my illustrative examples, from my own experience.
- KCCUK often looks for volunteers to man its main exhibitions. Having previously filled out the form, attached a copy of my ID and sent a cover email to apply for one of these roles, I never received a response of any kind. Applying for a paid role one can expect at least to receive a generic refusal email. For a volunteer role this basic gesture is even more fundamental.
- Having once entered KCCUK while passing by to ask the receptionist a few questions about signing up for, and using, its library, I was shooed away (despite the centre being open) as though I were some kind of undesirable vagrant. It was a shocking experience.
- At a recent event the floor was opened for questions. Despite being among the first to raise my hand and raising it again and again I watched the farcical process of those around me in an arc one by one being given the chance to ask their own questions, the staff member designated to ferry the the microphone to audience members passing and clearly seeing me on multiple occasions, but with a vacant expression and not bothering to indicate to the moderator that my hand was up (there is also no way the moderator could not see this), only for us all to finally be told there was no time for further questions.
- Having asked a senior member of KCCUK's staff for directions to the toilets in good Korean, I got a response of a bemused laugh and directions in English. To be clear - if you are a Korean and a foreigner addresses you in Korean, please reply in Korean. That is basic courtesy. It is insulting to be spoken to in English by default because I don't 'look Korean'. And don't get me started on the bemused laugh.
I have on some occasions seen interesting exhibitions at KCCUK, but on every occasion of visiting the staff are uninspired and unhelpful. They present a poor impression of the Korean nation and people, and a misleading one - for I have seen how kind and welcoming the Koreans can be myself in Korea.
The KCCUK events calendar has also declined over the last few years. Interactive events for participants have almost entirely vanished, replaced by event after event of music and dance performances, etc. These are fine and good but they do not give the public a chance to participate. What happened to the competitions, the walking tours, things like that?
I hope this review will inspire KCCUK and its staff to make changes. You have a prime location and huge growth in interest in Korea in this country. With a few simple changes you can also offer a great service which lives up to that potential.

A lovely artisan craft centre full of individual shops selling handmade jewellery, clothes, pottery, leather goods and paintings.
Beautiful building with the sun streaming through the glass ceiling.
Plus a lovely little cafe selling drinks and cakes.
Definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a unique gift or piece of art.

Beautiful mosque next to Regents Park Mash'Allah. Nice interior with an Arabic influence giving it a calm aura inside. Sunni lead mosque following the teachings of our prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

As you stroll through the Square garden, you’ll see cool sculptures honoring famous movies.
Street Performers: Constant flow of street artists playing music or drawing pictures. They add a dash of excitement to the square.
Nearby Gems: Just around the corner, visit the National Gallery (amazing and free art) or explore Chinatown endless eastern food offerings.
Shopping Fun: Lego and M&M are huge favorites for families.
Food Adventures: As the sun sets, food stalls pop up. Grab a quick bite or sit down for a nice meal.
The buzz of people chatting and forks clinking makes it feel alive!
So, when you’re in London, swing by Leicester Square.
It can be too busy but it is always fun.

Very peaceful masjid with clean facilities

I have just started beginner level Korean language classes here. The teacher is amazing and makes learning the language easy. A very we'll-maintained building

One of the largest masjids I have ever visited in the UK so far. It will be full for jumma. The toilets and ablution area in the underground are well maintained. There's an islamic goods shop in the entrance too and the inclusion of restaurant in the underground is fantastic. The portion in the restaurant are okay for one person. Great initiative taken by the management. Keep up the effort and may this Masjid be a great source of Allah's mercy.

Beautiful Masjid full of peaceful vibrant locals and visitors. Friendly staff are available with any information required. Lovely architecture inside and out. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I was told the British love Xmas but, I must say, they really REALLY love. And I'm. Here. For it. Leicester square is just one area that keeps Xmas decorations up past the 1st week of January. I totally approve. LS is near covent garden which is a very happening area, much like time square in NYC. This is a small square that managed to fit a whole Christmas market there. I can imagine when/ if it ever snowed, it would look that much more magical.
Cool place.
Cool place.

Alhamdulliah very good local!Excellent environment for prayer 🙏. Everyone very friendly.

Visited with family friends and it was super fun! Great place to walk around and very lively and bustling! However there are smokers pretty much everywhere so if you're bringing young ones or someone with lung issues, highly recommend bringing a face mask!

There was a Christmas market set up when we visited which was great. It brought good energy to the area and created a good vibe. Whilst the market was not nearly as good as ones in Euope it still was great to browse and get into the Christmas spirit. It's a busy play so be careful of pick pickets in the area as they are around

This Place Is Alway A Fun Place To Be.. Christmas Market So To Say.. Mulled Wine! That Is What I Look Forward To When Over At Europe During Winter.. And All The Little Bites On The Sides. Items Are Getting Pricier.. Sigh... Look Forward To Come Back Again Next Year....

Brilliant place, so vibrant, always so much happening, from the Xmas market at centre, cinemas, restaurants, bars.
Also lots of street performers and artists make it interesting.
Just watch out for pickpockets. Also can get a bit rough at night, really need a police presence.

Don't be like me! Before you travel for over an hour to get here... make sure it hadn't shut down two years ago, lol

There have Christmas market here, inside very nice decoration in this place. On Week day not too many people, we can enjoy Christmas atmosphere and shopping and also not too long queues for shopping and order food. Enjoy here!!

Absolutely beautiful masjid and has fantastic services inside from a restaurant to a gift shop. If only it was more closer to an underground station as the closest one Baker Street station is about a 15 minutes walk away, felt longer to me the day I visited as it was raining a lot. In’Sha Allah will try visit in the summer or on a better British weather day because I know it definitely the atmosphere around the Masjid would be even nicer.

One of my favourite place in London.
I recommande visiting Lego and M&m’s stores for the kids.
Will come back again and again to this place in my future trips to London !

We were staying at the Raddison Blu Edwardian Hampshire hotel and had a room overlooking the square, unfortunately for us it was just as they were erecting the Christmas market, so all we got was what can only be described as a worksite.
We ventured out and were entertained by numerous musical artists, we especially liked the guy with the piano, but like all the entertainers/buskers the music was so loud it made the fillings in my head vibrate.
It's a very busy place, keep an eye on your valuables, although we didn't see anything, apart from a woman trying to give/sell you roses, you never know where the "sticky bandits" will strike next.
We tried the Burger King, while there, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service, some restaurants though have staff stood outside that will engage you in conversation in the hip of enticing you in... It seems the days of booking a restaurant are gone, or they are that bad, nobody is turning up.

Great touristy area, if that is your thing. The area around it is also great to explore and spend a bit of money in all the little restaurants. Expect to pay a little more, than further afield.
Just north of Leicester Square towards Tottenham Court Road Station there is a wonderful digital display of butterflies, free of charge.

The London Central Mosque stands as one of the primary and influential Islamic centers in London, situated prominently in central London. Its significance within the city's Muslim community is profound, offering a focal point for religious worship, educational activities, and community engagement. The mosque's location in central London not only makes it easily accessible but also underscores its role as a hub for cultural exchange and spiritual guidance within the heart of the city. Its architectural beauty and serene ambiance further enhance its value, attracting both worshippers and visitors seeking to understand and embrace Islamic traditions in this vibrant urban setting.

This is an ideal place to stop and have a bite to eat or relax and take in the sights and sounds. There are plenty of shops and places to eat or drink and on the Saturday I visited, there were some amazing street performers to see. On the seats around the square, there are some interesting works of art….a couple of which, I have attached photo’s of !.I would recommend a visit, if you are in the area, there is plenty to see and it is in easy reach of the tube station and other attractions.

Really great place to poke around as a tourist. Our train was delayed the following day so we came back for a coffee and to fill out some post cards. Highly recommend. The artists are all extremely talented and the building is gorgeous.

Highly recommended to catch up with all the cultural events they organise. Event types vary from screening, exhibitions or talks and as far as I know, all are free to attend. Looking forward to going again as soon as possible.

My visit to the Museum of London was a truly amazing experience that left me in awe. The museum is vast, and it beautifully tells the story of the world's most vibrant city. I was fascinated by the exhibits, which spanned across prehistoric times to modern-day London, providing insights into the city's evolution over time.
The museum's design was impressive, with stunning displays that showcased the city's history in a comprehensive and interactive way. As I walked through the various exhibits, I was transported to different eras, and I could feel the pulse of London's rich history. The museum's curators have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating a highly immersive experience for visitors.
What stood out for me was the museum's diversity and inclusiveness in showcasing the history of London. They did not shy away from showcasing both the good and bad parts of the city's past, including the difficult times. The museum also made a concerted effort to highlight the contributions of various communities in building the city's cultural fabric, which was truly insightful and educational.
The staff at the Museum of London was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, providing me with a wealth of information about the exhibits. They were extremely helpful and eager to assist in any way possible, making the entire visit an enjoyable and informative experience.
Overall, I highly recommend the Museum of London to anyone interested in learning about the city's rich cultural heritage. It's a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in London's history and come away with a deeper appreciation of its unique character and place in the world.

Alhamdulillah it’s one of the best Masjids i have seen in London and everything about it is spiritual BUT there’s a huge mistake in call system. When you call to the provided number for any query, it says: “THERE IS NO FRIDAY PRAYER DUE TO COVID-19 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE”
Which made me think that there might not be a Friday prayer today. They need to change that ASAP.

Recommended for locals and tourists alike. If ever you're in the City of London, this is one area you should visit. There are many shops and restaurants to to choose from. Also the scenery is very captivating and there are usually a large crowd on the weekends. Ensure to pick up a gift for families or friends before departing. There are many streets performers in this square as well, from solo singers to group bands; much entertainment for your enjoyment.

Very good organise mosque, I did attend few Jumma prayers there Alhumdulillah. Kuthba delivered in Arabic and English.

Nice park to hang out. Location is very busy, especially on the weekend but I also assume that most of the evenings throughout the week. The park has these cute metal sculptures of familiar characters we know and love. Near is M&M store, Lego store, food places, cinemas etc. Also many street artists perform in this area, we saw beatboxing, singing and mimes.

Good masjid around old Kent road. Best is they are open for visitors to pray around the area from 12 noon until midnight. Good options for those willing to pray in Masjid while visiting Central London.

One of the most beautiful squares of the UK and the most touristic ones. It has cinemas, fast foods, clubs, pubs and everything around and a small park .
There are many street musicians that play music which you will definitely love especially on weekends
Should you go there try to go both at night and morning.

Excellent Arts venue hosting a wide range of events.

❤️❤️❤️

Jummah (Friday) prayer times are 12 for the first prayer and 1 for the second one. This information is true only as of the date of posting. Also, suggestion is to be at the mosque early to secure a place.

Love the art on display when visiting

This is one of the best museum of London.

Very interesting to learn about the long and varied history of London all the way back from 400,000 BC. Free entry, and the museum has lots of different exhibits, including some interactive ones that kids might like. Went on a week day and was not too crowded but still a decent number of people.

A very unorganized, chaotic museum with not a lot of organization in my opinion. Would be easy to miss things. Exhibits were good in places but never sure the order or the direction to look at them. Not enough on certain time periods yet more on others. Needs more structure. Free to enter so worth coming for something to do. Nice little gift shop and there’s a cafe but did not use it so cannot comment about that.

Really interesting exhibition about the history of London. Lots of really interesting artefacts to see and a few videos to watch. This is not really suitable for young kids, but would be great for teenagers and adults. A really great video about world war 2, but it is extremely sad. Lovely cafe at the entrance too. Well worth a visit.

London has some of the best museums in the world and so many of then are free to boot.
This museum is well set up to tell the story of of London from prehistoric times all the way into the modern Era. Each section highlights major events, technologies, and traditions to illustrate the corresponding time period. The medieval section and the women's suffrage exhibits particularly captured my attention.

A free exhibition displaying Hanji pieces was amazing to see in London.
There was also a video shown explaining the time and effort put into the art works.
This exhibition was rather a small one but still worth going to; since this week is the last chance to see it.
Also, I was fascinated by the details that has been added and to have an opportunity to see them in person☺️
Learning more about the Korean culture and their history is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you🙏🏼

Super

Great place for community art and gigs

The Edge, amazing space. Amazing staff. Check Friction Arts for more info

I love this place. It's full of memorabilia, comfy seating, creative stuff. It can be hired for all sorts of events. I've been to exhibitions and celebrations of life. Last night I attended an acorn tenants Union Relaunch and AGM. It was so cosy and comfortable. Though the topic was tough the venue made it less painful. So if you want a nice friendly place for your meeting try the Edge.

Great venue, great music-loving crowd, very respectful to the acts. Outdoor brazier to keep you warm if you are a smoker!

A great venue and creative space. Well worth checking out and supporting!

Nice place to visit to learn about all things Korean. Although in practice it's actually South Korean. There's exhibitions and films going on throughout the week. There was an exhibition of conceptual art which just went over my head.
Inside and downstairs is a library of all things Korean. Absolutely every topic you can imagine is pretty much covered. There's culture, history and travel. There's a mixture of Korean and English language books. Personally I found that I had to actively look for information meant that the whole visit wasn't as engaging as I'd hoped especially as I was thinking of a 2/3 week trip to South Korean. Though the travel books contained lots of useful information, I cow;d've just got the same information and more off the web. The staff (literally 2 of them) were friendly enough, if a little bored especially as there weren't many people on the day I visited.
Also downstairs is a mini theatre with weekly film showings

I haven't been inside the whole venue - only in the reception hall as you first walk in. The centre offers free music concerts (advance reservation required) and I also know that they offer Korean language courses, although I am yet to try these. Today I visited the paper art temporary exhibition
