Its very convenient. However the last 3 or 4 times I've parked there the lighting has been out on the car park. Not nice!
Do I need transit visa to go from s terminal to n terminal?

It's a tram stop, which does everything it's supposed to. Can't knock it.
Shuttle is free and regular. Announcements are too loud - I found myself shouting over them. Put adverts on the tannoy if you really want to, but please can you turn down the volume?

Airport is knackered but usually runs efficiently and can be very crowded. The railway station staff and miserable and useless at the concourse gates, they should take a leaf out of Europe's books. The ticket office is more helpful.

Nice tram stop. You can go to Coronation Street if you want!
Just arrived back in UK and it has gone to the dogs. The noise, the frenetic people, the hoards, the smell, the false butox faces.. one lovely man working on the station let me get my ticket quickly, apart from that... yuk yuk yuk 😥

I have conflicting emotions about my local airport. On a good day they are brilliant. Well organized. On a good day you wait by the security gates and wait "forever" to be allowed in. At least it is always clean :)

Worst ever experience in an european airport! Security is a nightmare, very long waiting time, rude staff, super noisy everywhere, no air con, no place to refill water bottle...

Airport trams are modern and easy to navigate to, but if tram staff want travellers to put their suitcases on racks, then the racks should be easily accessible and larger in size. When you can't fit a large suitcase on the bottom because most of them are full and they insist you lift it up top even though you physically cannot, it's ridiculous. This is the only transit I've ever been on across multiple continents that bloody insists you use the rack and doesn't help you with making it work. "You can move other people's suitcases around" thanks for asking me to Tetris other people's belongings. Staff could be a lot more helpful. Airport itself is pretty standard, get here early because the lines can get gargantuan. The board in ZoneD somehow doesn't show the same information as ZoneB, ZoneD has the most updated and most helpful info and this is in itself really confusing. Their website doesn't show which counters are open for check-in which is another point of difficulty. Flight delayed by two hours but the boards were misleading and kept showing: be at gate now. Rarely leave reviews but truly a terrible experience.
Really useful FREE Shuttle that works every other 5 minutes between south and north terminal. Once that you get to the shuttle you would find panel with the timing left for next ride, This is really useful. Also , there is always around 30 seconds since doors open until they close which is beneficial if you are in a rush. I think the shuttle also works 24/7.

Bit scammy. Sold me a ticket that isn’t good to or from the airport… where I bought the ticket… and refused to let me exchange it for a valid ticket or refund the ticket I could not use, even if I purchased the correct ticket. Very poor customer service.
The airport is trying hard but why are the moving walk-ways not working? We are in our 70's and although we are not disabled, we did not see anyone who might help us with our luggage over the substantial distance to the railway station. Working walkways would have helped.

I'm frustrated with the audacity, lack of leeway and situational sense from the train guard.

I have an advance ticket from Manchester to Nottingham with changes in between at 9:17.

The 9:17 train was cancelled, so I asked the ticket man in reception what I can do.

He said to board the next train which was 8:48.

So I do this and see the train guard next to the doors. I tell her my situation and she refuses to board me because I have to board the train with the departing time closest to the cancelled train, so 9:07. Unless I buy a new single ticket from her!

That is a difference of 19 minutes! Ridiculous judgement call from her!

I think this tram stop is in a good location 'cause it's just opposite to MediaCityUK and it doesn't take you long to get there from this stop.

Very good Parking area, Clean and well lit up in the evenings 😊
Great Stuff, especially the IWM Duxford Airport site, however a good range of things to see and do around here at this site too, and it has its own Tram stop.
Amazing shuttle service between terminals. At the time of my visit only one train was running as it was quite quiet. Views are amazing from the shuttle and the travel time between terminals is very low.

Congratulations on their 20th Anniversary!
Some new features added and the big picture show amazes as ever.
Attended an evening event and it was brilliant the whole set up was completely transformed.
By day the museum now has poppies from London and New items are being added to the display cases.
School holidays fast approaching there seems to be plenty going on. It's free entry, carpark is NCP but still worth a visit.
Plenty to see and do. I'd highly recommend a good few hours.
On the hour they have a huge 360 panoramic show, all different. An amazing cafe with some delicious food and a very good gift shop.
Plenty of photographic opportunities and selfies to be had. The Museum has a timeline but you don't have to stick to that. On certain days they have veterans in who give first hand experience of war too.
There really is something for everyone and is a great day out.

100% convenient and user friendly. Once you are out from the airport follow the signage towards to tram. You can download the app beforehand and buy on the app. You also can buy it at the ticketing machines available there. It is very easy. £2 more expensive than the bus but there’s no traffic. You decide.
Eye-opening artefacts and history well told. There is a family game in there too, great for teamwork.

One of the easiest and simplest ways to depart an international airport I’ve come across yet. It couldn’t be any easier to collect baggage, exit the airport, follow the obvious signs, grab a ticket and board the tram. Modern carts and plenty of seating with designated luggage racks. Cost £6.50 per adult, but I believe there is a 50p discount if purchasing online.

Nice coffe shop at Manchester airport train station. Its in the waiting room and called " Fresh"
Great, attention for GATE 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107,112,113 ,you should take more time in advance to get there because many passengers did not make it and lose there travel with the aircraft.
Fast connection to the North Terminal👍

The tram stop is convenient for not only the Imperial War Museum but also for Salford Quays and MediaCity. It loses a star because there are no direct trams into Manchester city centre, the line ends at Cornbrook where you have to change to a different tram to get back into the city.

This station is amazing. I love the location of this station because it is right next to this bronze tower. This place also has great access if you are going to the museum if you want to go to media city tram stop that's like 10 minutes away.
The train station is connected to terminal in a convenient way. Though it's a bit of a walk from the station, the lifts and escalators make life easy. There are barricades on the escalators to avoid passengers taking heavy baggage.

The tram. There are two or more access routes to get the very efficient tram services. One which leads to the corner of City of Wolverhampton College Wellington Road and one which leads to the poorly timed 79 bus service. Overall I find the tram experience too notch!
Path which leads from airport to station is beautiful. Station itself is really small and crowded, management can make it more spacious and well maintained. Lot of people start from this point so improvement is needed. However communication for travellers to find respective platform is superb.

Good Metrolink stop that is conveniently located in Manchester Airport's interchange, so you can directly change to National Rail and other buses from here. It's a short walk to the airport terminals and obviously the stop is very useful for accessing the airport and as a means of travelling into Manchester City Centre and beyond. The stop is well lit and maintained and the waiting areas are clean and bright. Services to Victoria are frequent at every 12 minutes and an 'early bird' service runs in the early hours for Manchester Airport workers or users of the airport.

Better than Balgreen, not as good as Bankhead.
Free. Extremely fast, no delays here, you'll always be able to get on the next shuttle.

Only one shuttle operating during the evenings/nights, takes a little longer to board if you just miss the shuttle before it leaves. but dont be alarmed by this.
I love travelling so now often get recognised by the security staff, which makes me feel valued considering the millions of passengers who whizz through there every year! I often like to photograph the light patterns in the tunnel like passageway that leads from the train station to two of the terminals so it has a visual appeal too.

Ok, let's be clear, this project was a disaster from the start: the budget was blown wide open and the disruption massive. The trains are a bit dinky. The arrangements for buying tickets and platforming not consistent with Scottish weather. But, if you want to get into town cheaply and enjoy a bit of a tour of the local landscape, this is not so bad. The staff are terrific of course.

Best way to commute to city centre or airport for the people living nearby. Frequency of trams is fairly good. If you are not a pass-holder, you need to get there a bit early to buy tickets and better to have the change. I preferred tram over bus for my everyday office commute.

The trams are fast, providing you're not going as far as the airport, but they're surprisingly limited in seating and having to buy your ticket in advance from a machine (but still no change) is pretty annoying.

Efficient and effective way for getting to the city centre, but only if you live on the route. Frequent and fast and are much faster than the buses due to the boarding style. However one downed tram can cause quite significant delays, and Lothian buses don't always report this clearly at the stops.Good value for money if you travel inside the city bypass.

TL;DR Quick and generally reliable, good value.
